Roshan Andrews film scripted by Bobby and Sanjay titled School Bus is all set top hit the screens on May 27. Kunchacko Boban, Jayasurya, Aparna Gopinath etc playing the key roles in this film along with some child artists like Akash and Angeline Roshan, who is the daughter of Roshen Andrews. For the promotion of this film, production team has come up with some unique methods. As a part of its promotion, the team had set up a school bus in Lulu Mall Kochi. It can be called the 3D version of the poster of the film. People coming there is curious about this school bus model and they are attracted to it as well.

The School Bus model is also working as shop which has things like school Bags, Notebooks, water bottle etc and there is huge rush in it to buy things as the summer vacation is coming to an end. Now, it had become the biggest attraction in Lulu Mall.

Everyone hoping that like his previous films, Roshen Andrews will deliver a class entertainer this time as well. The unique marketing strategies will also attract the audience and the team behind the film hopes for a great response from the audience from its first day of release itself. Apart from names like Roshen and Bobby-Sanjay duo, the big name that invites audience attention to this film is C K Muraleedharan, who is the DOP of this flick. He was the DOP of popular Bollywood films like 3 idiots, PK, Agent Vinod etc. He is a Malayali and making his Mollywood debut through this film.

AV Anoop produced this film under the banner of AVA productions and this is the 5th association of Bobby-Sanjay duo and Roshen Andrews. They had earlier done films like Note Book, Casanovva, Mumbai Police and How old are You. Kunchacko Boban is playing a Police Sub Inspector named Gopa Kumar and Jayasurya is playing a sales executive named Joseph. Gopi Sundar had tuned the songs and background music for the film. Central Pictures will distribute this flick all over on May 27.

24 Movie Kerala Collection Report – 7 Days

24, the Vikram Kumar directorial Kollywood flick which produced and starred by Suriya is making waves in Kerala Box office. The film which released on May 6, had got a great opening here and as per the reports coming in from trade guides, the film is all set to become the highest grossing Suriya film ever in Kerala.

As per reports, the first week collection of this Suriya film from Kerala box office is around 7.90 crores. It will surpass the total gross earned by Suriya film Singam 2 today or may be tomorrow. Singam 2 is the highest grossing Suriya film in Kerala which had got around 8.5 crores total gross from here.

The film had took a great opening by raking in an amount near 1.89 crores. Then it grossed more than 1.5 crores on its second and third day as well. The second day and third day figures of the film is 1.61 crores and 1.62 crores respectively. Then started the working days and on its first Monday and Tuesday here, it had raked in 86 lakhs and 62 lakhs respectively.

Thus it had got 6.6 crores from its first five days. The 6th and 7th day showed steady box office returns. From this two days, the film had got around 1. 3 crores in total and the 7 day gross of the film reached around 7.9 crores.

The latest release in Mollywood is Mudhugauv‬ (Muthugow), directed by a debutant named Vipin Das. He is the one who wrote the screenplay as well. The film had come from the joint production venture of Friday Film House and Carnival Motion Pictures, who earlier given us Adi Kapyare Koottamani through their combined production. Before the film actually begins, while they were showing the title and credits, there was a dedication quote appeared on the screen which said that this film is dedicated to Lalettan and Priyadarshan.

Now, producer Sandra Thomas told to Onlookers Media in an exclusive interview that they are very happy to dedicate this film to the Mohanlal- Priyadarshan combination who had given the evergreen blockbusters in Mollywood. The title word Mudhugauv‬ is taken from the film Thenmavin Kombathu directed by Priyadarshan and starred by Mohanlal years back.

Sandra Thomas said that people of Kerala first heard this word through that movie. Also this film follows a pattern of Priyadarshan-Mohanlal team’s comedy films and that is also become a reason to dedicate this film to them. In fact, they wanted to launch this film Muthugow in the presence of Mohanlal and Priyadarshan. But due to some technical reasons and busy schedules of Mohanlal, that did not happened. So they dropped the plan of a launching ceremony. Instead of that, they dedicated this film to the evergreen combo of Mohanlal and Priyadarshan as a token of their gratitude and admiration for this team.

Mudhugauv‬ is a word which means Kiss and it is first used in Thenmavin Kombathu in Mollywood. Mohanlal and Shobhana are the ones who uttered this word in that movie and it is still popular here. The sound clips from Thenmavin Kombathu is also used in this film Muthugow to get the desired effect.

The election campaigns are on full swing and this time many film actors are contesting elections to Legislative assembly from different constituencies of Kerala. Actors like Mukesh, Ganesh Kumar etc contesting as Left Democratic Party candidates and actors like Jagadeesh and Bheeman Raghu contesting the elections representing United Democratic Front and Bharathiya Janata Party respectively.

But yesterday a controversy stirred up after actor Salim Kumar resigned from AMMA, protesting against the support given by some movie artists to Ganesh Kumar who is contesting election from Pathanapuram constituency. Jagadeesh and Bheeman Raghu also contesting from there. Last day, Super Star Mohanlal came to wish good luck to Ganesh Kumar after he has been invited by the candidate to take part in his election campaign. But Salim Kumar said that it was not a right thing to do because 3 members from AMMA contesting there. Now, actors like Dileep and Nivin Pauly also came forward extending their support to Ganesh Kumar.

Innocent, the President of AMMA said that there is no wrong in what Mohanlal had done as he went there as a family friend of Ganesh Kumar. Mohanlal never asked votes for Ganesh Kumar, but he only given his well wishes to his longtime friend and brother like person. Many people had come against Salim Kumar in this issue as they says that Salim Kumar has no right to complain about a citizen’s right to choose his own political ideologies whether he is a film star or not.

Salim Kumar said AMMA had taken a decision earlier that no one from the association will not be participating in any election campaigns, where film stars are contesting. But Dileep says that no such restrictions were implemented by the association as far as he knows and he asked votes for Ganesh Kumar. Nivin Pauly also extended his support to Ganesh Kumar through a video that is now spreading in social media. Anyway, support for Mohanlal is increasing in this issue even though Jagadeesh said that he felt bad after Mohanlal came to wish Ganesh Kumar.

The film has artists like Kaniha, Murali Gopi, Joju George, Sethu Lakshmi, Anumol etc as well.

Meera Jasmine playing the role of a police officer in this movie and she is doing a cop role for the first time in her career. This film is produced by Jiji Anchani, Manu Padmanabhan Nair, Jacob Koeypuram and Biju Thoranathe. Sangeeth Jain had written this film along with Soorej and Neeraj who has done the additional scripting.

Sandra Thomas said that when the need for a narrator has come, they wanted Dulquer Salmaan to do it. The film Oppam is producing by Antony Perumbavoorr under the banner of Ashirvad films and it had completed its first schedule in March. The second schedule had begun few days back and now they are shifter to vagamon for the shoot of remaining parts. The film will hit the screens as an Onam release of Mohanlal this year.

Actor Salim Kumar resigned from AMMA

Actor Salim Kumar had resigned from the association of Malayalam movie artists today. He resigned from AMMA because some actors went for election campaigns even after AMMA told them not to go for election campaigns in constituencies in which film stars are contesting. Salim Kumar send his resignation letter to Mammootty, who is AMMA’s current General Secretary.

There has been reports that Salim Kumar’s resignation came after stars like Mohanlal went for election campaign conducted by Ganesh Kumar who is contesting as a Left Democratic front contestant from Pathanapuram constituency. Jagadeesh is the United Democratic front candidate there, who is contesting opposite Ganesh Kumar. Jagadeesh reportedly told Salim Kumar that he felt bad when Mohanlal came to the election campaign of his rival, who is also a film actor.

Salim Kumar said that AMMA told its members not to go for election campaigns where film stars are contesting. But later AMMA’s leaders went for the same campaign. Mohanlal is the vice president of AMMA. Innocent, the president of AMMA said to Jagadeesh that he will not come there to ask votes for him. Salim Kumar said that there is no fault in going for election campaigns in a constituency where film actors are not contesting. Jayaram and Kaviyoor Ponnamma did it. But Salim Kumar is not in favor of what Mohanlal did as per reports.

Mohanlal said when he came to the election campaign of Ganesh Kumar that he has not come there as a film actor but as a friend or may be an elder brother of Ganesh Kumar. He said he knew Ganesh’s family from his childhood. He had visited Ganesh’s house many times and ate food cooked by his mother a lot of times. So, when Ganesh requested him to just come there at his constituency, he obliged to that request.

Mohanlal also made clear sometimes back that he did not have any inclination towards any political Parties as he does not have much knowledge about their ideologies. Director Priya Darshan was with Mohanlal as well when he came at Pathanapuram last day.

24 Movie Kerala Collection Report – 5 Days

Suriya starrer film 24 is doing well in Kerala now and moving towards becoming the highest grossing Suriya movie ever in Mollywood. This Vikram Kumar directorial science-fiction fantasy film is attracting the audience here and getting positive response from all over. The film had took a great opening here by collecting more than 5 crore rupees from its first weekend here.

On its first day it had raked in an amount near 1.89 crore and on its second day it got 1.61 crores. Third day collection of the movie is around 1.62 crores and it crossed 1.5 mark in box office for three consecutive days here and that too the first 3 days after the release. The Five day total gross of the movie from here is reported as 6.6 crores.

On its 4th day, which was a Monday, it had got rupees 86 lakhs as gross. And on Tuesday, it raked in an amount near 62 lakhs as well. Even though the collection is dropping after each day, the film had already done a business more than the level of expectations. Suriya’s last few films not at all made any impact at Kerala box office and 24 had changed that trend by getting a great gross collection from its 5 days of run here.

It is still getting decent figures as per reports and we have to wait and see whether it will cross the 10 mark at Kerala box office or not.
