Sai Pallavi explains why she not doing Mani Ratnam film
Last day a news went viral in social media that Premam fame actress Sai Pallavai who was earlier chosen to play the female lead Mani Ratnam film was removed from the film as the actress had disagreed to do some intimate scenes which was in the screenplay of the film. The report said that Mani Ratnam was looking for a Mumbai based actress after removing Sai Pallavi. But the truth was not that. Sai Pallavi herself explained the situation through her official twitter account. She said she also heard the rumors and want to give the correct explanation for that.
Sai Pallavi said that no one can opt out from a Mani Ratnam film as he is a legend and everybody in Indian film industry is waiting to work with him. She said Mani Ratnam knows who is best for a particular character in his film and he knows whom to choose to make his character best. She said Mani Ratnam is such a caring person and he knows what is best for her too. She said that Mani Ratnam explained to her the later developments that come in to the screenplay and to the character. For a person like his stature he need not have to explain all that to her. But he did.
Mani Ratnam said to her that when the script had changed a bit, they needed an actress who looks more mature than Sai Pallavi. That is why they had to look for another actress and he had explained it all to her. She said that as a fan of Mani Ratnam she is too waiting for this movie eagerly. Reports saying that Bollywood actress Athidhi Rao has been chosen to play the female lead in this movie, which will start in this coming September. Karthi will play the male lead in this movie and A R Rahman will tune the music for the film. The camera will be cranked by Ravi Varman as well.
Anyway now Sai Pallavi hopes that the rumors will end as she had explained what really happened.

Theri is making superb business at overseas market even though it’s been an above average grosser in domestic markets. The Atlee directorial film which released on April 14th worldwide had already on its way to the 100 crore club. It had reportedly amassed more than 85 crores from its total number of screens from worldwide and that too in 4 day time.
From India it had raked in 55 crore from 4 days and it is a fantastic collection even though showed signs of huge drop in the coming days. But from outside India it had raked in more than 30 crores from 4 days and it is stunning indeed.
From its first weekend, this Vijay starrer had collected more than 4 crore from United States and around 1.5 crore from Canada alone. From United Kingdom also it had raked in great amount as it got more than 2.60 crore from there in the opening weekend. In Australia it had made a record as well by surpassing the record set by Shankar- Vikram team’s Ai which got an opening weekend collection of 1.27 crores there. Theri had collected rupees 1.56 cr in its opening weekend there and from New Zealand it had got 8.68 Lakhs in its opening weekend.
From Norway it had got 16 Lakh+ and from France it had got around 1.5 crore. From other parts of the world where it got screens, the film had grossed near 14 crore rupees as well. The film had released in 31 countries.
Few months back, an exciting news had come which said that Mollywood star Mammootty is all set to act in Tamil movie and that will be with Ilaya Thalapathy Vijay as well. There were reports that Mammootty is playing the villain to Vijay in this movie in which Mollywood actress Keerthi Suresh to play the female lead. The fans both Mammootty and Vijay got excited after hearing the news, as they were never shared screen together. Even though Mammootty had acted in many Tamil films and acted with stars like Rajinikanth and Ajith there in Kollywood, he never acted along with Vijay.
Mohanlal, the other Mollywood Super Star had acted with Vijay two years before in a film named Jilla and he had also played a character with negative touch in it. Even though the film had got financial success, the makers had been got criticized by public as well as by film critics for not using an actor like Mohanlal. They had given over heroism for Vijay to make him stand in front of the skill of Mohanlal who had just stole the show with his powerful acting skills.
Reports suggests that Mammootty had pulled out from this upcoming Vijay film because he had offered negative role in the film. Mammootty sites his busy schedule in Malayalam as the reason for pulling out from the film. But sources close to him says that he did not want to play a character which has less importance than that of Vijay in the film.
Mammootty is currently doing another Tamil film named Peranbu directed by Ram in which he plays the lead role. Anjali is the female lead in that movie. Vijay’s this upcoming movie will be directed by Bharatan who had earlier made Azhakiya Tamil Magan with him. Now, Thandavam fame villain Jagapathi Babu had been roped in to play the antagonist in this film replacing Mammootty. Jagapathi Babu is playing the Villain in Mohanlal starrer Malayalam film Puli Murugan as well. He is considered as the most popular Villain in South Indian film industry.
