Shahrukh Khan starred film Fan had released on Friday and it had opened with great reviews all over. The positive reviews reflects its box office collection as well. This Maneesh Sharma directorial film in which Shahrukh Khan plays dual role had raked in more than 19 crore on its first day from India alone.
The overseas market also showed good response as from there the film had raked in 17 crore+ and the total worldwide collection of the movie from its first day at box office is around 36 crore rupees. The film had released in 4600 screens all around the world. In India it had got 3500 screens and in overseas market it had got 1100 screens.
Even though this collection is not a big record when it comes to first day collection history in Bollywood, it has got the best opening day figure of this year in Bollywood. It had overtook Akshay Kumar starrer film Airlift, which had eared around 13 crore from its first day from India. The all-time record is safe in the hands of Salman Khan as his last few films had earned around 40 crore on its opening day.
The fate of Fan in box office will be decided by the collection in the upcoming days as everybody is looking forward to see if it maintains steady collection in the coming days or not.
The most awaited official poster of this year in Mollywood had released today and it is the official poster of Pulimurugan, the Mohanlal starrer big budget film directed by Vysakh. The poster has been released by Mohanlal through his official Facebook page and twitter account and now it is trending in social media like a boss. The poster has 4 characters other than Mohanlal. One is Mollywood actor/director Lal. Another is from Telugu and he is none other than Jagapathi Babu. From Tamil, there is Kishore and from Bollywood it is Makarand Deshpande.
The film has Peter Hein who choreographed the stunts. Shaji had cranked the camera for this action adventure flick written by Udayan. Tomichan Mulakupadam financed this flick and it will release on July 7 this year as an Eid release. The shooting is not yet over and 5 days of shoot remains for the film as per reports. There are reports that the first teaser of the film will come on May 21, which is the birthday of Mohanlal.
The film will have a record release in Kerala as it is planning to release in more than 230 screens in Kerala alone. There will be Tamil, Telugu and English version for this film as well and they are looking for a gigantic worldwide release for this film. Film has VFX part as well and it will be done at Hyderabad by the team which had done VFX works for Bahubali. Mohanlal had did the fight sequences in this film without dupes and his action sequence with a tiger will be one of the highlights of the film.
Apart from those stars we mentioned above, there is Kamalini Mukharjee, Siddique, Bala, Suraj Venjarammoodu, Nobi, Namitha etc also a part of this film. The film will be distributed by Mulakupadam films in Kerala. The movie had been filmed in countries like Thailand, Vietnam and Bangok apart from India. They are planning to have a China and Vietnam release as well along with the India release of the movie.
It has been a big news when actor Unni Mukundan come out against the spreading of the fake news which said that he is going to marry his co-actress Sanusha Santhosh. The news spread that they fell in love while they were working together in the film named Oru Murai Vanthu Parthaya and decided to marry after the shoot.
Later a photo also come which showed Unni Mukundan and Sanusha sitting together. But Sanusha now came out and accuse the team behind the film for the spreading of this fake news. She said that this news and also this photo has been leaked by the team behind the film as they wanted to create publicity for the film before its release.
Sanusha said that she is doing more films now and will only think about marriage after she completes her study as well. Unni Mukundan had reacted against this news earlier as he said that it is baseless and he is not going to marry anyone soon.
Unni Mukundan also said that these kind of gossips affects actresses more than actors and told the ones who spread these news to stop it. Oru Murai Vanthu Parthaya is directed by Debutant Sajan K Mathew and is said to be a romantic comedy.
Vijay starrer film Theri is going great in box office all over with super reviews and box office records are going down before this flick. This Atlee directorial movie is a well packed action-family entertainer and it is a sort of come back from Vijay after the failure of his last venture Puli.
The release of Theri has been celebrated by the fans of Vijay all over South India and in Coimbatore it was in terrific way. They poured milk over the cutout of Vijay and celebrated with all sorts of dance and music. But an unfortunate incident happened along with that as well. Fans Vijay there had stolen 100 liters of Milk from various milk stations in and around Coimbatore for the celebration.
Many number of milk packets are stolen from nearby milk booths and the milk booth owners had file complaint against Vijay fans there as well. The association of Milk traders also expressed their protest against what they had done in the name of Fanship and they had officially lodged the complaint in Police against this cheap act by fans.
Many people had come against this act and they said that the action of these kind by fans will bring disgrace to Vijay and true fans will not do such things, which affects other people’s lives.

Theri continues to make waves at Tamil Nadu box office after making an earth shattering opening there on Day 1 by grossing over 13.1 crore. The film got positive reviews from most people and that had helped it to maintain the great run at box office on its second day too.
As per reports coming from various trade guides in Kollywood, the film had earned above 12 crore from its second day in Tamil Nadu and that is quite awesome. From two days, the film had earned a gross 25.1 crore from Tamil Nadu alone and it shows how well the people of Tamil Nadu had accepted the film.
The film is doing great business in other south Indian states like Kerala, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh as well. It is also doing very well in overseas market. From Kerala alone it had raked in 2.40 cr+ on its first ay and it had secured the 3rd spot in the list of highest first day grossers in Kerala.
The team behind the film hopes that this amazing run will continue and the film will soon cross the 100 crore mark from worldwide market. The film is made on a budget around 100 crores as per reports and it have to cross 100 crores in box office at least to become a safe one financially.
Bahubali 2 and Enthiran 2, two of the most anticipated film in Indian Cinema. One is coming from SS Rajamouli and another is from Shankar. Both of them were regarded as the show men of Indian cinema with the epic nature of their films and creative thinking. Both were now busy with the shaping up of the sequels of their biggest films.
Bahubali 2 had filming rapidly and the report came that it will be releasing on next year April 14. They had planned it release it in this year and later they postponed it. Enthiran 2 is also started filming and now the latest reports says that it also locked its releasing date on April 14th next year. If it happens, it will be the biggest fight at box office ever happened in India.
Both are big budget films. Bahubali 2 is making using almost 250 crore rupees and Enthiran 2 said to be making with a budget of 400 crores. The first part of both films were super successes and record holders too. In fact Bahubali broke the record created by Enthiran by becoming the highest grossing South Indian film ever in India. Shankar is all set to get back that record by its sequel. Bahubali: The Beginning, which had become the 3rd highest grosser ever in Indian Cinema by grossing more than 600 crores is all set to repeat the same with its sequel as well.
Both movies can boast of a great star cast as well. Bahubali: The Conclusion will have Prabhas, Sathya Raj, Sudeep, Rana Dagubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamanna etc and Enthiran 2 will have none other than Super Star Rajinikanth in the lead. It has Bollywood action king Akshay Kumar as villain and Amy Jackson playing the female lead in it. While Bahubali 2 is the direct sequel of its first part, Enthiran 2 will not be a direct sequel of its first part as per reports.
Anyway, there is no official report or confirmation about its release date. But if it happens like this, then it will be something very big in Indian Cinema, a real fight at box office with epic proportions.
Ilaya Thalapathy once again made it big with his film as the latest film of him directed by Atlee, titled Theri is making rock solid business in screens all over the world. The film which released on April 14th all over had made a great start at box office. The film had got a great welcome and positive opinion is spreading about the movie.
As per reports the film had grossed 27.25 crore from its worldwide market on day 1. From Tamil Nadu alone it had earned above 13 crore by becoming the second biggest first ay grosser there below Ajith’s Vedhalam.
From Chennai City alone it had got 1.01 crore. Then from North and South Arcot, it had earned 1.60 cr, from Coimbatore it got 4.04 cr as well. From other areas like MR, TT, Salem, TK etc it had got gross collection of 1.81 cr, 1.80 cr, 1.77 cr and 1.07 cr respectively.
From Kerala it had grossed 2.47 crores on first day. From Karnataka it had got 1.81 cr and from rest of India it got 0.29 lakhs. The overseas market also showed goo figures on Day 1 as it had grossed 2.54 cr from USA and Canada. From UK it grossed 0.64 lakhs and from France it grossed 0.37 lakhs. From other overseas areas it had earned a total figure around 6.00 crore as well.
There was no Telugu and Chengalpet release on Day 1 for the film and if it was there then the collection may have been huge.
