Dulquer Salmaan had clearly emerged as the best crowd puller among the new generation actors of Mollywood. He had now two movies in the 2 crore club of Mollywood cinemas opening day collections. Only Mohanlal had done it twice in his career. Dulquer had done it through Charlie and Kali and Mohanlal had done it through Casanovva and Loham.

Now Dulquer Salmaan has made record in another section of opening at box office as well. It is related to the Multiplexes of Ernakulam. Dulquer Salmaan’S Kali has got the 3rd best opening there at EK multiplexes by grossing 15.07 lakhs on the first day. In the top 3 films of this list Dulquer had 2 films of him.

His Charlie is leading the list with 16.86 lakhs from 54 shows on its opening day. The next in the list is Nivin Pauly starrer film Action Hero Biju, which has got 15.25 lakhs on its opening day there from 59 shows. The 3rd is Kali which got 15.07 lakhs from 45 shows on its first day.

The first day collection of films is determined mostly y the number of young people who comes to the theaters as they are the ones who makes the majority of the first day audience. In that sense, Dulquer Salmaan is very strong as he had got great fan base among youngsters.

Kali starred by Dulquer Salmaan which released yesterday got a terrific opening on its first day in Kerala and as per reports it had got 2.33 crore from its opening day. Now it stands at second position in list below Mohanlal’s Loham, which had got 2.54 as opening day gross as confirmed by its producer. Anyway by this opening that Kali has got, Dulquer Salmaan had become the biggest crowd puller among young generation of actors and equaled the record created by Mohanlal, who is in fact the biggest crowd puller of all-time in Mollywood.

Now, Dulquer Salmaan has two film in 2 crore club when it comes to the opening day collection of films in Mollywood. Only Mohanlal made it possible twice here in Mollywood before. Mohanlal had two films in 2 crore club such as Casanova and Loham. Casanova had done it in 2012 as it had got around 2.13 crore from its opening day. Then Loham came and broke it by a big Margin and grossed 2.54 crores on first day. Dulquar Salman had made his entry in to that club where Mohanlal was sitting alone, with his last year film Charlie and it had got 2.06 crores on its first day. Now he had improved his collection base with Kali and entered again in this club by getting a collection around 2.33 crores.

Now as per the records made, only 4 Malayalam movies able to cross 2 crore mark on its opening day at Kerala and those were by Mohanlal and Dulquer Salmaan. Both of them had 2 films each in this list. Their upcoming films also expected to repeat this. Dulquer Salmaan’s Kammattipaadam is on its way and it may release in May. Likewise Mohanlal starrer Puli Murugan is coming this July and it expected to break all first day collection records ever made in Kerala. It is expected to inaugurate the 3 crore club in opening day collections here as well.

Anyway both these stars ruling the box office of Malayalam cinema and some equations are changing when it comes to the names of box office rules here.

Muthugow, the upcoming Malayalam movie produced by Friday Film house in association with Carnival motion pictures is in news for the debut of Gokul Suresh, the son of Super Star Suresh Gopi. The film directed by another debutant Vipin Das will hit the screens in the near future. Another important character in this film is played by none other than Vijay Babu, who had emerged as one of the most versatile actors in Mollywood now. He is playing a negative role in Mudhugauv and his villain character is coming with a Rambo style look.

His character name is Ramachandran Bonakkad and he had shortened it to be known as Rambo. As per reports his character is going to be another popular one from him. He did get attention as an actor through the film Philips and Monkey pen and the character of Pappan sir in that movie had become popular. The success of that film had made that character also remain in the hearts of the audience. But the big one was waiting for him. It was the hero role in none other than Lal Jose’s movie.

Vijay Babu had played the male lead in Lal Jose directorial Neena and he had gave a terrific performance in that film. It had really showed us the acting talent of this man and indeed the turning point in his career. The easy way of acting is the specialty of Vijay Babu and he looks natural also.

Dulquer Salmaan starrer film Kali had released yesterday and this Sameer Thahir directorial film had made a terrific opening at theaters on its opening day at Kerala. The presence of Dulquer Salmaan and Sai Pallavi in lead roles and the name of Sameer Thahir had made this possible. Dulquer Salmaan had once again showed that he is the best crowd puller among the young generation of actors here in Kerala.

As per the reports coming in from trade guides, Kali had made an opening day gross of 2.33 crores from Kerala and the first day share of the film is rupees 1.1 crore. Now Kali stands at second position in the all-time opening day collection report list of Mollywood. It is Mohanlal starrer Loham stands at first with 2.54 gross on its opening day. Earlier came a news that Loham got around 2.14 as opening day gross and later producer Antony Perumbavoor confirmed that the first day collection of Loham is 2.54 Crores.

This is the best opening a Malayalam movie got this year here and the second best is got by Nivin Pauly’s film Action Hero Biju which got 1.59 crore and the 3rd spot is sealed by Prithviraj’s Darwinte Parinamam ,which had got around 1.48 crore on its opening day. Now with this collection of Kali, Dulquer Salmaan had made another film of his, gone past the 2 crore mark at box office on its opening day itself. Earlier he had done it with Charlie last year, which had got 2.06 crore on its opening day.

Kali which got decent reviews attracting the youth to the screens all around. The real box office status of the film will only be known after one week as the trade guides have to analyze how it is going to fare in the working days as it is not a film for family audience.

Charlie to become the first Mollywood film to release in Japan with Japanese subtitles !

Dulquer Salmaan film directed by Martin Prakkat had won both the minds of critics and audience in Kerala and it had won almost 8 state film awards as well. Now another achievement had come for the film as it is all set to become the first Malayalam movie to be released in Japan with Japanese subtitles. Director Martin Prakkat officially confirmed this news to Onlookers Media and he is very happy to announce this big news to you all through us.

The film is distributing in Japan by an Indian movie distribution company in Japan, named Celluloid Japan. This company had collaborated with a Japanese distribution company named Dozo for distributing Charlie with Japanese subtitles. Celluloid Japan is an Indian film distribution company which has four Malayalees as its high officials. Their aim is to promote Indian movies in Japan and they had released almost 20 Indian movies in Japan including Malayalam and Tamil movies.

When they released Charlie without subtitle there, it had got good appreciation. So they decided to release it again with Japanese subtitles. It will be showed there with Japanese subtitles in the famous Kineki Theater in Omori on May 15th and May 29th. They had released Action Hero Biju as well this year there but without subtitles.

Charlie which is written by Unni R and Martin Prakkat had Dulquer Salmaan and Parvathy in lead roles. Unfortunately this state award winning film is not there to contest for National film awards here in India. But this achievement will be a source of great happiness for the entire team of the film.

Ratheesh Vega is the one who gave Mohanlal, the super successful song Aattu Manal Paayayil and he is popular for many super hit songs too from films like Cocktail, Beautiful etc. As per reports the audio rights of the film Aadu Puliyattaom was sold for a record price of 10 lakhs.

This is the biggest budget film ever made with Jayaram in the lead and is produced by Haseeb Haneef and Noushad Alathur. The film has popular south Indian and Bollywood artists like Remya Krishnan, Ompuri etc in it along with Jayaram. It is a horror comedy based on a myth which is almost 600 years old. The film said to be releasing on this coming Vishu Day. On April14th, it will release all over India above 600 screens and it will be a record for a Malayalam film.

Jayaram had earlier sung in a film named Ente Veedu appoontem, directed by Sibi Malayil and in that film he had sung with his son Kalidas Jayaram, who was the main lead of that film. Kalidas was a child artist then. But it was a song like a local nursery rhyme and this may be the first film in which he sings a full fledged song.

Dulquer Salmaan starrer film directed by Sameer Thahir named Kali had released all over Kerala today and getting positive reviews from all over. The film had took a very good opening here as per reports and almost 90% of theaters showed houseful status throughout the day. At some centers, fans have to watch the film by sitting on the floor inside the theater as the crowd came in large numbers. At multiplexes, most of the shows of this weekend had already sold out through online booking and the great anticipation around the film before release had done the trick.

The only negative thing that comes from critics about the film is the dubbing problem of Sai Pallavi, which looked very artificial throughout the movie. The film is targeted the young audience and they had accepted it with applause. Undoubtedly it had took the biggest opening in Mollywood this year and the first day collection report will arrive by tomorrow evening.

Tomorrow will also be a good day for the film as it is a Sunday. The working days will decide the real box office fate of this film as it is mainly aimed at youth. The online crimes has been increasing day by day and the victims of this cruel activity are mostly celebrities and specially film actresses. Latest in that list is Mollywood actress Anjali Aneesh Upasana as her fake photo is spread through WhatsApp and Facebook by some people. She had already filed complaint in Police against this and Police had already arrested one person who had spread this.

Police sources said that more people are under their observation and they will not spare even the ones who forwards this. The police investigation is going strong in this regard as the crimes like this is growing each day and they are taking all their measures to put an end to this. Police had warned everyone not to forward or spread these kind of fake images. If one does so, it will be traced and he/she will be arrested under the cyber laws.

Anjali Aneesh Upasana had posted a status in her Facebook profile regarding this case and she said that as per her complaint Police is taking every action to trace the numbers of those who spreads that fake image of her made by some perverts using editing tools. She thanked the ones who supported her and told to everyone that not to spread it as well.

Many actresses faced the same problem recently. Actresses like Asha Sharath, Jyothi Krishna, Sreeya Ramesh etc faced it recently. Many popular actresses had faced it earlier in the form of fake videos and photos of theirs. Some had reacted strongly and people like Asha Sharath and now Anjali Aneesh Upasana had took the best measure to tackle it.

Two films are coming from him this year. One is Fan, which will hit the screens on this April 15 and then Raees, which said to be an Eid release.
