The postmortem report of Kalabhavan Mani ha said that his liver was completely damaged and that was the cause of his premature death. In fact there was an effort going on to find out a matching liver donor, for the transplantation of liver for Kalabhavan Mani. The effort was took by none other than Super Star Mohanlal in association with the support of the medical staff of Edappally Amritha Hospital, where the treatment of Mani had been going on and it was there that Mani breathed his last.
Kalabhavan Mani and Mohanlal shared a great bonding which is beyond words and Mani had told to Mohanlal about his liver disease. No one other than Mohanlal is aware of the health condition of Mani in the real sense in our Malayalam Film industry. Mohanlal had advised him not to use alcohol again and he started his efforts to get a donor to transplant the liver of Kalabhavan Mani.
It was Mohanlal who advised Mani to meet the specialist doctor at Amritha Hospital and Mohanlal always there to speak with the doctors about how to save Mani’s life. The arrangements was getting ready at the hospital for the surgery and they were waiting for a proper donor who has suffered brain death. So the doctors advised Mani to not to use a single drop of alcohol. But Mani was later admitted in hospital with heavy dose of alcohol content in his body and that had really pulled him towards death.
He was unconscious while admitted in hospital and there was internal bleeding as well. He said to be omitted blood before he was taken to hospital. It was Nadirsha who told Mohanlal who was at Tripunithura about Mani being admitted in hospital again. Mohanlal contacted the hospital from his shooting set right at that moment and made sure that Mani should get all the possible medical aid. But it was too late as Mani’s internal organs failed and his body was refused to react to the medicines.

Rajesh Pillai, who had passed away last month had left a lot of dreams unfulfilled. He had plans for two big films which he said was his dream projects as well. One was with Mohanlal, scripted by Murali Gopi, titled as Lucifer and another was with Kunchacko Boban and Nivin Pauly, titled as Motorcycle Diaries. He had left this world a day after the release of his film Vettah starring Kunchacko Boban, Manju Warrier and Indrajith Sukumaran, which is running successfully now in theaters. Kunchacko Boban said last day that, he and Nivin Pauly will try to make Rajesh’s dream come true by making Motorcycle Diaries.
Motorcycle Diaries was planned by Rajesh Pillai after his last year release named Mili with Amala Paul and Nivin Pauly. But it needed a whole lot of hard work and physical effort. Because of his health condition he decided to postpone it and had done Vetta. He had plans to do Motorcycle Diaries next. But his health condition went down and later it lead to his death as well.

Now, Kunchacko Boban says that he and Nivin Pauly will make all the effort to make that film and whenever they meet each other, they discusses about Motorcycle Diaries. They are now planning about the film and for Rajesh Pillai, they will definitely do it. Kunchacko Boban had acted in 3 films directed by Rajesh Pillai. Kunchacko Boban was the lead in Rajesh Pillai’s first film named Hridayathil Sookshikkan. Then he acted in his Traffic and later in Vetta as well.
Nivin Pauly who played the lead in Rajesh Pillai’s Mili had also acted in a cameo role in Traffic. Vetta was Rajesh Pillai’s first production venture as well. There are reports that his wife is all set to continue with his production ventures. They are also planning an award in Rajesh Pillai’s name, which will be awarded to the directors who makes a come back to the industry with good films. Traffic was indeed a great come back film from Rajesh Pillai after his first film bombed at box office.

We had reported many incidents of the spreading of morphed images of film actresses and artists through whatsapp and Facebook. Many people had come out against with strong replies as well. People like Asha Sharath had even filed complaint and the police had arrested the one who did it against her as well. But it seems that such people growing in number and they don’t have much fear about our legal system as well.
The latest victim in this kind of issue is actress Jyothi Krishna, who is popular among malayalees through films like Renjith’s Njan and Jeethu Joseph-Dileep movie Life of Josootty. Her morphed images had been spread through whatsapp and she had come out with strong words through her Facebook page against the ones who did it.
She said that someone who not have a good family culture to boast off, had made a photo with her head on the bodies of his sister or his mother may be and spread through whatsapp. She said that her friends and followers who saw this cheap thing done by that pervert, stood with her and offered all their support to her in this matter. So whatever may be the intention of the one who did it, it had failed miserably. Jyothi Krishna thanked all the people who stood with her offering their support as well.
These kind of unfortunate incidents are increasing now-a-days. It is not just against movie artists, but also against common people as well. There is no legal actions were taken against those who does this and people who does this often escapes without any trace as well. That is a real sad thing in a society where we give so much value to the moral side of a man’s personality. Anyway Jyothi Krishna’s reply is going viral through social media and people are supporting her all the way in this issue. We hope that our legal system will act quickly against those people who does these kinds of mean things to women. Then only it can be stopped.

Kalabhavan Mani may have left this world a week back, but he still lives in the mind of his family members, friends, colleagues and each Malayalees. That love and respect towards Kalabhavan Mani, one of the most talented actor we have ever seen in Malayalam was evident yesterday when AMMA association of Mollywood film artists had arranged a public meeting at Chalakudy, to pay homage to their dear friend Mani. People poured in to the carmel HS ground and legends like Mohanlal, Mammootty, Vikram etc came to remember their dearest friend and brother Kalabhavan Mani. During the speech of his, actor Asif seeks apology to Mani as well.
Asif ali had seek apology from the soul of Kalabhavan Mani during the speech he was given in the function. He said that Mani was invited him so many times to Chalakkudy. To join with him and his friends. But due to many other commitments Asif did not able to accept that invitation. He had told Mani that he will come once to his meet his friends circle and will have a celebration with them. But it is only now he able to come and that too in a function organized to mourn Kalabhavan Mani’s death. Asif Ali said that he is in deep pain and shock and he can’t speak more.

Asif said that Mani was such a lovely person and an inspiration and courage to those like him who had come to cinema without the help of any godfather. The support Mani had given to youngsters like was terrific as well says Asif Ali. People like Mohanlal, Mammootty, Vikram, Innocent, Asif Ali, Suraj Venjarammoodu, Kamal, Sibi Malayil etc were paid their homage to Kalabhavan Mani by remembering him and everyone said how close Mani was to them in his own way. Mohanlal-Priyadarshan film Oppam has started rolling bearing great hopes !
Oppam, the upcoming film from the magical duo of Mohanlal and Priyadarshan is started rolling at Kochi on March 5. The shooting is going on smoothly at Tripunithura and as per reports the first schedule of the film will be there at Kochi till March 25. After that Mohanlal will go to Hyderabad to join his second schedule of Janata Garage, the Telugu big budget film with Jr.NTR and Koratala Siva.
Oppam will have a Munnar and Ootty Schedule as well in April as per reports and the film is planning as an Onam release of Mohanlal. There is great expectation on this Mollywood film produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Ashirvad Cinemas. It is the second time that Ashirvad Cinemas is joining hand with Priyadarshan. It was in 2001 that Mohanlal-Priyadarshan team had done a film named Kilichundan Mambazham produced under the banner of Ashirvad. Even though that film did not do much well at box office that time, later it had got great appreciation from audience after it was screened on Mini Screen.

So when Ashirvad joins with Priyadarshan again, we have to assume that they are all set to make things right this time at box office as well. Mohanlal plays a visually challenged man in this film and this one is not a comedy film like the previous blockbusters given by Mohanlal-Priyadarshan team. This is a crime thriller but will have comedy as well. Priyadarshan himself had written the screenplay and dialogues of this film and the story is from a newcomer named Govind Vijayan from Thissur.
Eakambaram cranking the camera for this film and this will be his second association with Priyadarshan in Malayalam as he had done the DOP of the film Vettam directed by Priyadarshan and starred by Dileep in 2004. Apart from Mohanlal, artists like Samdurakkani, Nedumudi Venu, Mamukkoya, Kanaran Harish, Chemban Vinod, Aju Varghese, Kalabhavan Shajon, Vimala Raman, Anusree, Arjun Nandakumar etc playing key roles in this film as well. 4 music had tuned the songs for this film as well.

Yesterday, Chalakkudy Carmel Ground was full with the people who loved Kalabhavan Mani, as AMMA, the association of Malayalam movie artists were there to pay homage to Kalabhavan Mani, who died last week due to severe liver damage. The function was attended by Superstar of Mollywood like Mohanlal, Mammootty, Kollywood star Chiyan Vikram, AMMA president Innocent, actors like Suraj Venjarammoodu, Asif Ali, Sadiq, Tini Tom, Harishree Ashokan, directors like Lal Jose, Kamal, Sibi Malayil etc.
Everybody expressed their deepest condolence over the death of Mani and everyone was in deep pain as well as the death of Kalabhavan Mani was indeed a shock to all of them. Mani was more than a brother to people like Mohanlal and Mammootty. On that occasion Mammootty made a moving speech as a part of paying homage to his beloved colleague.
Mammootty said that he comes to know more about Mani when they acted together for the first time in the film named Udyana Paalakan. Mani had told about his admiration and also about his past life to Mammootty. They later acted in many films together as well. Mani played the villain to Mammootty as well. Mammootty said that he don’t have much words to express the pain he is having as he remembers Mani. Mammootty remembered that it was he who introduced Mani to Tamil Cinema, as he recommended Mani to the film named Marumalarchi, in which Mammootty was the hero.
Mammootty said that even though he know that Mani is suffering with some health problems, he did not thought to the extent that it will take away Mani from all of us. It was really a great shock for all the ones who loved Mani more than a colleague. Mammootty said that, as an actor, he can’t even imagine doing some characters Mani had done in his career and that great talent of Mani had made people love him on the screen. Off the screen as well, Kalabhavan Mani was a great human being and the crowd gathered there is a proof of that.

Valliyum Thetti Pullityum Thetti is the upcoming Malayalam movie directed by debutant Rishi Sivakumar, with Kunchacko Boban and Shamili in the lead. Shamili who had acted in many Malayalam films as child artist is making her heroine debut here through this film and that already made the audience to look forward to the movie. Everybody hopes that Shamili will continue her success story here which she had started when was acting in Mollywood as a child artist years back. Harikrishnans, Pookkalam Varavayi, Malootty are the super successes in which she had acted as a child artist in Mollywood long back.
