Evergreen Super Star of Mollywood, Jayaram is all set to strike gold this year in Mollywood box office with some big budget projects. His first release of this year will be Aadupuliyattam directed by Kannan Thamarakkulam and scripted by Dinesh Pallath, which is a horror comedy. It had got the attention from the audience due to the heavy look of Jayaram and the supporting star cast including Om Puri, Remya Krishnan, Sambath etc. But the next film after this will be something very much exciting for his fans and film lovers. It will be a complete action thriller named Sathya.

The film Sathya will be directed by film Maker Deephan, who had given us action super hit kike Puthiya Mukham with Prithviraj in the lead. Deepan had directed the film Dolphins starred by Suresh Gopi and Anoop Menon as well 2 years back. The screenplay of this film, Sathya, is writing by AK Sajan, who is a master writer when it comes to thrillers.

AK Sajan had written and directed a film with Mammootty in the lead, named Puthiya Niyamam. Even though the film not made it big at box office, it was appreciated for its scripting. AK Sajan had earlier wrote the script for a Jayaram film in the year 2001 and it was Sharjah to Sharjah.

This film Sathya will have Gopi Sundar as the music director of the film and other details about its cast and crew will come later. Jayaram had prepared well for the lead character as he had lost 10 kilos of his weight to look fit for this character in the film.

There has a been rumors doing its round in social media for last few days that Atlee is planning a sequel to his upcoming movie Theri 2 and Ilaya Thalapathy Vijay will star in it as well. The rumors were received well by the fans of Vijay and they were quite excited about it because if it becomes true, then they can see their star in action in a sequel for the first time in his career. But Director Atlee has something to say about the rumors regarding his film as well. Atlee explains about it to the Medias to the possibility of Theri 2.

Atlee says that he did not even decided about the sequel of Theri. The rumors that coming about the sequel is not at all real and it is too early to talk about the sequel of Theri. It will all come in the thought process only after the film gets released. Now he is busy with the post production works of Theri, which is an April release.

He also said that the speculations regarding the audio launching date of the film is also fake. They had not decided about it yet as they are in the final stage of the post production works of the film. The music Album will be the 50th one in the career of G V Prakash, the music director of the film.

The teaser of the film had already broke several records in YouTube and all that as well. Let’s wait for Theri first, think about its sequel later, as the director himself made clear about it.

For the last few days, there is a news spreading in social media that Moideen’s life story will again come to screen and this time will give us another side of his life. Ennu Ninte Moideen directed by RS Vimal gave us the love story between Moideen and Kanchanamala. But this film will be based on Moideen’s life other his love affair.

Actress Seema recently remembered some incidents about Moideen who was indeed the producer of her first film. So the new film will be based on that kind of events that happened in his life. But the million doller question is, will Prithviraj come as Moideen again, as his face is become the face of Moideen, in the hearts of Malayalees.

There are rumors doing its round in social media that Prithviraj may play the character of Moideen in this upcoming film as well. But reports says that RS Vimal will not be the director of the film. It may be because of his fall out with Kanchanamala. The story of the film is written by BP Rasheed, the brother of Moideen. He had given lot of help to make Ennu Ninte Moideen as well.

We will have to wait for the official confirmation regarding Prithviraj’s participation in this project and also other details about the director, lead artists etc will also come later. It will be interesting to see, if Parvathy also gets the opportunity to star as Kanchanamala, if her reference comes in the new movie.

If the reports coming in through various channels are believable, then actor Jayaram is all set for the biggest release ever in his career and for a grand return. As per reports, Kannan Thamarakkulam directorial, Dinesh Palleth scripted film starred by Jayaram, Ramya Krishnan, Sambath, Om Puri etc will release in 600 screens all over India.

If that happens it may be the biggest ever release of a Malayalam movie as well in its history. Aadupuliyattom is a horror comedy which is said to be based on a myth that existed 600 years back. As per reports the film will have Telugu and Tamil versions as well and the flick had earned very good amount already from its Tamil and Telugu distribution rights.

Jayaram is very popular in Kollywood as well and that can be utilized with the Tamil version of the film. The presence of Remya Krishnan, Sambath etc also boosts its release in Tamil and Telugu industry as their face add up to the attraction that may feel by the viewers to this film.

Presence of Bollywood actor OM Puri can gain it some extra screens in North India as well. This is Kannan Thamarakkulam’s second film and his first one was also with Jayaram, titled Thinkal Muthal Velli Vare. The flick has actors like Saju Navodaya, Ramesh Pisharody as well to entertain the audience with their comic numbers.

Action Hero Biju, the first release of Nivin Pauly after the big success of Premam and the next film of Abrid Shine after the award winning and successful film 1983. The anticipation factor was very high and hopes were too high to say the least. The title and the first look poster of the film had given a feel to the audience that, Nivin Pauly is all set to play a cop role with full on action mode and the film will be a stepping stone to his super stardom. That hope was indeed become a negative for the film when it was released. When it was released, the film had received mixed reviews from its first day and have to say that most of the reviews were negative from the common audience. But to their relief, critics gave thumps up for the film.

The audience had expected a mass masala action film and what they got was a realistic cop story which went through a comedy track. So it was not digested by the audience at first. From its second day onwards it had lost screens and shows were reduced as well at many centers. Many feared that whether the film is going to end up as a disaster.

We cannot say that it is a grand success as the hope from Nivin Pauly, the star, was much more and the success of the film did not raise to that expected level. But at least he had continued his winning streak. Now, everyone hopes that through his next film Jacobinte Swargarajyam, Nivin will be back to his super successful track.

Sunny Wayne, the young and dynamic Mollywood actor is currently doing a film directing by Midhun Manuel Thomas who had already given him a very popular role named Sathan Xavier in his last film named Aadu Oru Bheekara Jeeviyanu. The introduction and background when his character Sathan Xavier first comes on screen in that film was an instant success and it gave him a super hero kind of image and intro. Youngsters received that character and his style with great applause.

Sunny Wayne is playing the hero in this upcoming Midhun Manuel Thomas film and it had started rolling at Thrissur some days back. The film isn’t titled yet.  According to official reports Sunny Wayne is not a part of the film named Kali, directed by Sameer Thahir and starred by Dulquer Salmaan against the wide specualtion of sunny’s role in it .

There were reports in online medias that Sunny Wayne is playing an important role in this upcoming Dulquer Salmaan-Sai Pallavi film. But officilas from Kali movie confirmed that it is a fake report and he is not playing any part in that movie, which is all set to release by this month end. Apart from Midhun Manuel Thomas film in which he is playing the hero, he is acting in another project named Kammattipadam. It was a Dulquer Salmaan starrer directed by Rajeev Ravi. Sunny Wayne had played a key role in Rajeev Ravi’s first film  named Annayum Rasoolum, which had Fahad Fazil and Andrea in lead roles.

As per the announced and confirmed movies so far sunny is going to be busy in your ticket booking apps and long standing theatere box’s queues for sure . The support he had among the young generation is immense and we hope the actor is going  to give them want hey want from him  as a much liked and accepted star.

Jibu Jacob’s next venture will be with none other than Super Star Mohanlal and everyone is really waiting for the movie to get started. The title of the film is not yet fixed and the story will based on the work of popular writer James VJ, named Pranayopanishathu. M Sindhu Raj is writing the screenplay of this film and it will be produced by Sophia Paul under her banner of Weekend blockbusters.

Now, another interesting news coming about the film and it says that popular actor Biju Menon will play an important role in the film along with Mohanlal. Mohanlal and Biju Menon had acted in a number of films together and their last association was in 2012, in a film named Run Baby Run directed by Joshiey. It was a super success and this combo had really rocked in the film.

As per reports, this upcoming Jibu Jacob film is a comedy film in which Mohanlal plays a character named Ulahannan, who is a panchayat secretary. The film will revolve around his office and home affairs as per reports. Other lead artists who will be seen working in this movie will be Sudheer Karamana, Kalabhavan Shajon, Suraj Venjarammoodu, Nedumudi Venu etc. Meena will be playing the female lead opposite Mohanlal in this film and this pair also uniting after 2 years. Their last association was in the film named Drishyam directed by Jeethu Joseph, which still holds the record of the biggest success ever in Malayalam cinema history.

The music section of this film will be handled by Bijibal and M Jayachandran. Pramod Pillai will rank the camera for this movie and it will start rolling at Calicut on June 15 as per reports. It may release as the Onam film of Mohanlal. Mohanlal is playing a common man role in this and that too in a film which goes through the track of comedy and family emotions. Usually when such films comes from Mohanlal, it creates box office records here in Mollywood and everyone hopes that this Jibu Jacob film also will repeat that.

As per reports coming in from Malayalam cinema industry, once again the issues between cinema associations and film personalities causing trouble related to the release of movies. The latest victim in that issue is director Renjith, as his film Leela is facing some sort of unofficial ban. Renjith had directed and produced Leela based on the story and screenplay of Unni R. Biju was the male lead of that film as well.

But the issue begun when there was a strike happened related to the remuneration of the technicians in this past January. Technicians wanted a hike in remuneration and producers not agreed to them. When the issue become serious, producers called for a strike by stopping the filming of all films in mollywood. But Renjith continued the filming of his Leela by giving the remuneration wanted by the technicians. That was indeed a powerful movement against producer’s association and now they decided not to screen Leela. Distributors and Theatre owners also said to be supporting the producers in this issue.

Renjith is officially a member of producers association and his movement against them after being a member of that association had made the things worse as per reports. Producer’s association had already contacted multiplexes as well saying not to screen Leela. In fact the technicians asked only a small hike in their remuneration. Renjith had stood with them as he felt that justice was with them. But that really pissed off producers association. Many films had stopped filming at that time fearing the consequences if they continued the shoot. Rajeev Ravi- Dulquar Film named Kammatti Padam was one such film which stopped filming due to the strike.

Renjith had said that he had completed the film by taking loans from his friends and well-wishers. If he not got the permission to screen his film in theaters, he will make the DVD’s of his film Leela and will sell it to people standing in front of the producer’s association office. Leela is the result of the hard work of Unni R and Renjith for the past 5 years.

In the history of Malayalam cinema, a film is re-releasing in Tamil Nadu. Yes, we are talking about Premam directed by Alphonse Puthren and starred by Nivin Pauly, Sai Pallavi, Anupama Parameshwaran, Madonna Sebastian etc. The film which is now the second biggest success in Mollywood movie history again making history for Mollywood.

Premam had already completed 250 days in Chennai and it was for the first time that a Malayalam film completed 250 days there. After that the film had ended its run there. But now as the request of people, they are releasing it again on this coming March 18th.

Ram Muthuram Cinemas tweeted that as per the request of the audience, they are re-releasing Premam on this 18th and it’s a confirmed news as well. We have seen re-release of Malayalam films here in Kerala. But it is really an astonishing situation that Premam created which helped it to achieve that feat in Tamil Nadu.

Here we saw the re-release of Mohanlal starrer film Narasimham directed by Shaji Kailas at many centers. We also saw some films like Mammootty starrer Big B and multi Starrer film Twenty20 re-releasing at some places. But Premam had really made a history with its re-release and this shows how much people of Tamil Nadu had got addicted to this film.

Another super exciting project is on its way for the Mammootty fans and film lovers of Kerala. Mammootty is all set to team up with popular director Lijo Jose Pellissery and the film will be produced popular banner Friday Film House owned by Vijay Babu and Sandra Thomas. Vijay Babu and Sandra Thomas had shared a selfie with Mammootty, Lijo Jose Pellissery and writer PF Mathews through their official Facebook pages and told that a dream will come true soon.

PF Mathews may be the writer of this film from Friday Film house and he had earlier wrote films like Thanthram, Puthran, Savithriyude aranjanam, Kutti Srank etc. Other details of this upcoming film is not yet available and the official declaration of the film will arrive soon as per reports. Lijo Jose Pellissery’s last film was Double Barrel, which was released last with Prithviraj, Indrajith, Arya, Asif Ali, Sunny Wayne etc in the lead roles. But that film was not received very well at box office. But he is popular for his other films like Amen with Fahad Fazil, Nayakan with Indrajith, City of God with Prithviraj etc. His Amen which had Fahad Fazil and Indrajith in the lead was a super successful one.

Friday Film house had produced around 7 films so far and every film made a mark in Mollywood in one way or the other. They had made films with Jayasurya, Fahad Fazil, etc in the beginning and also made a film with Super Star Mohanlal. It was the film named Peruchazhi, which was a profitable venture for them even though it was thrashed by critics. Their last year productions was Aadu Oru Bheekara Jeeviyanu and Adi Kapyare Koottamani. Aadu Oru Bheekara Jeeviyanu had got noticed only after the DVD release of the film. Adi Kapyre Koottamani was their first co-production with Carnival motion pictures.

Films like Adi Kapyare Koottamani 2, Aadu Oru Bheekara Jeeviyanu sequel and Muthugow is coming from Friday Film House in the future along with this Mammootty film.
