Prithviraj and Sai Pallavi to join together in next RS Vimal film !

The waves created by Ennu Ninte Moideen directed by RS Vimal is not completely over yet in Malayalam cinema and Kerala. Prithviraj’s Moideen and Parvathy’s Kanchanamala has got a cult status as well among the audience. Like that some months before, another character has got such a great reception and become a sensation among youngsters of Kerala and that was Malar played by Sai Pallavi in the film named Premam starred by Nivin Pauly and conceived by Alphonse Puthren.

RS Vimal had announced that his next film will be again with Prithvi Raj in the lead role and it will be a big budget film with more than 40 crore budget. As per reports it will be based on the story from Puranas like Mahahabharatha or something like that. RS Vimal is now in travel around North India to find the correct location for this film as well. But the latest reports that is coming says that Sai Pallavi will play the lead female role in this film.

These are unconfirmed reports that is coming from various sources and there is no official words from either RS Vimal or from Sai Pallavi about this news. Sai Pallavi is doing her second film in Mollywood now, which is the Dulquer Salmaan starrer film titled Kali directed by Sameer Thahir after his fim named Neelakasham Pacha Kadal Chuvanna bhoomi with Dulquer Salmaan in the lead. The film said to be a March release as well.

The RS Vimal- Prithviraj film is now on its pipeline and no more details of the story of the film and the time of its filming is not revealed yet. But the anticipation is already begun as the first association of this team had ended up as one of the all-time blockbusters here. Now, this news of Sai Pallavi’s inclusion in the film also made people to expect more from the film. Anyway, the report had to be confirmed first before rejoicing by thinking about the prospect of seeing Prithviraj and Sai Pallavi on screen together.

Nivin Pauly, who one of the most followed young star in Mollywood has a great year as he had achieved so much in 2015. He had scored his biggest commercial success in last year and everybody know, it was Premam. He bagged his first state award for best actor as well in last year. He got his first ever SIIMA award and many other recognitions came his way as well. Nivin Pauly had the luck to receive his first ever SIIMA award from Mohanlal.

While he received the state film award for best actor, Mohanlal was there and Nivin Pauly received that award only after seeking blessings from Mohanlal. Nivin Pauly expressed his gratitude as well for the greatest actor in our country for his blessings, inspiration and support. But he said that he is a great Mammootty fan from his college days. He said that when a participant in Manorama News Talk Show asked about the trends he imitated in his younger days just like now youngsters imitating his style in Premam.

Nivin Pauly said that in his college days he was a great Mammootty admirer and the character he followed in that days or imitated in college was Sethuramayyar CBI played by Mammootty. He said that imitating the heroes from films or successful characters is not a new thing. It has started from long years ago. Nivi said that when was studying in college, he used to dress like Sethuramayyar CBI and also made his juniors do like it. They talked and walked like Mammootty in Sethuramayyar by playing the popular background music of the film in a mobile.

Nivin Pauly said that imitating film stars or characters is not a bad thing. But we have to keep it to a certain limit. It does not have to be end up hurting others and becomes a public nuisance. Imitating is a part and parcel of the college life or the younger times. But what happened while someone imitated Premam style was a little painful as it ended up in losing someone’s life.

Piracy again killing Malayalam cinema and we all know how bad it can affect a cinema and its box office performance. The latest on this list is Dulquer Salmaan starrer film Charlie which is directed by Martin Prakatt. The film which released on the 24 December last year was still running with satisfactory collection in Box office.

But as per reports the pirated prints of the film is available in the form of CD’s and DVD’s in the street Markets of Bangalore City and its plenty there. Everybody knows this as well because it is not the first time that Malayalam films are sold in the street Markets of Bangalore. At the time of Bangalore Days, the producer of that film, Mr. Anwar Rasheed had filed a complaint against this. But nothing had happened and it is still continuing.

We have seen that in the time of Drishyam, Premam and many other films as well. Films like Drishyam, Premam, Bangalore days were all time blockbusters and these may have done only a little damage to them. But films like Charlie or any other films which are usual successes may be affected big time with this piracy as the collection will decrease drastically and it even affects profit share by big margin.

Charlie has got mixed opinions is already showing drop in box office performance after the earth shattering opening weekend. Now this piracy will add up to that drop and it will clearly make the film to go down as a usual hit. Someone had took a photo from the streets of Bangalore where the pirated prints of the film is selling and he took it after he got blocked by the seller at first.

Nobody is really care about this as the officials who is assigned to make things clear regarding this issue is sleeping somewhere like an Arctic Deer. Cinema is being killed by these piracy from long back and still the condition getting worse. There are many complaints and cry about this issue has been happened, but the ones who are behind this piracy is walking free like a happy morning walk in the park.

Director Ranjith and his production company removed from the producers association !

A shocking news it was as report says that director Ranjith and his production company was removed from the producers association of Kerala. Producers association ousted Ranjith from the association as he did not obey the rules and regulations of the association and went against their decision on the recent issue of the increasing of the remuneration of the technicians working in Mollywood films by 33 %.

The removal of him and his production company was the part of a disciplinary action. Ranjith production house is Capitol theaters and along with his production as other two production houses also removed from the association on the basis of same issue. One among them is global united Media which distributed films like Bahubali here and financed Lord Livingstone 7000 Kandi.

FEFKA, which is the association of Malayalam cinema technicians said that they want 33% hike in their remuneration from this year. But the producers association is not agreed to their terms and they said it will not happen. Then FEFKA decided to do only those films of which its producer is ready to give the remuneration recommended by FEFKA. Producers association had given strict orders to every members in it that, not to start any film from this January 1st agreeing to the conditions of FEFKA.

But Ranjith had begun the shoot of his film Leela which he finances under his Capitol Theaters and also directing. Dulquer Salmaan starrer film directed by Rajeev Ravi is also continuing the shoot agreeing to the terms of FEFKA. Apart from that Jayaraj Directorial film Veeram will start in the second week of January and Prithviraj starrer film directed by Sujith Vasudev, titled James and Alice will also start in the middle of January. They had already agreed to the terms of FEFKA. So more actions from the producers association may be coming next week in this situation.

Ranjith had earlier made Thilakan to act in his film Indian Rupee when FEFKA went against Thilakan. Renjith stood powerfully against FEFKA that time make thilakan to act in his film. We have to see what Raenjith do in this situation that panned out now.

There is a report doing its round in social media pages, specially, in Kollywood that Chiyan Vikram is going to direct a short film and it will have many popular stars in South Indian film industry. As per reports, the news seems to be credible as well. There was a 6 minute video released earlier which was based on the devastation of Temple City by the disaster caused by nature and that was ended with the news of this Short film directed by Chiyan Vikram.

Vikram’s short film will have actors like Mollywood young super star Nivin Pauly, Tamil superstar Suriya, Bahubali fame Prabhas, Vijay Sethupathy, Bobby Sinha, Kannada Super star Puneet Raj Kumar, Nithya Menon, Hansika Motwani etc.The short film will be a tribute to the heroics of Indian Army and volunteers that comes from all across India to help in the rehabilitation activities in Chennai.

There were various levels of rehabilitation activities held in Chennai and many people participated in the activities there. The video will be a tribute to all of them. Chennai is now getting better slowly from the natural disaster that really destroyed the whole city.

The details of the actors working in the short film was revealed to the media by some close source related to Vikram. As per reports there may be more stars to join the team of artists.

Puthiya Niyamam release date fixed

At last the release date of AK Sajan written and directed film Puthiya Niyamam has been fixed and it will release on January 29 this year. The film will be distributed by Abam movies through Seven Arts. The film has Mega star Mammootty playing the male lead and Nayanthara playing the female lead. As per reports it is a social thriller and Mammootty playing the character of an advocate named Louis Pothen. He is a communist as well. He had married to Vasuki played by Nayanthara and it was a love marriage as well. Vasuki is a Kadhakali artist as well.

The film is a much anticipated one as there are rumors spreading that it will be one of the best from Mammootty in recent times and has the potential to become the all-time Blockbuster of Malayalam cinema history. The film was earlier planned as a Christmas release last year. A K Sajan had directed two films till date. They are Lanka starred by Suresh Gopi and Asuravithu starred by Asif Ali. But both not fared well commercially. He had written many successful screenplays. He was associated with SN Swamy to write Dhruvam script and the big hit named Chinthamani Kola case was also written by him.

Neeraj Madhav’s latest films which are released is Charlie starring Dulquer Salmaan and Adi Kapyare Koottamani starring Dhyan Sreenivasan and Aju Varghese. In Charlie he had only a small role but in Adi Kapyare Koottamani he is one of the lead characters in the movie.

There is a belief or superstitious belief in Mollywood that the first film releasing in January or New Year will be a box office failure. All these years many big films which planned its release in January made sure that theirs is not the first release in January. But Style does not care about those things and it had made sure that it is the first release of this year an as per reports coming from box office as well as from audience response, the film will blow off all those above mentioned superstitions in Mollywood as well. Style is surely on its way to the first hit of 2016 in Mollywood.

If Style achieve that success in box office (it is almost sure that it will), it will be the first solo hit for Unni Mukundan in his career as well. Even though he had success like Mallu Singh, Vikramadithyan etc in his career, those were not solo hero subjects. Those films has stars like Kunchacko Boban and Dulquer Salmaan with him in important roles. But in a recent media show aired in Malayala Manorama news channel, Nivin Pauly had seek apology from the senior film directors of Mollywood. It was a program in which he appeared as a part of the talk show related to the Newsmaker of this year campaign by Manorama.

During the talk show, director Harikumar mentioned that many senior directors in the film industry had complained against Nivin Pauly in the director’s association, saying that Nivin Pauly’s behavior to them was not right. He made them wander here and there just to meet him with a story and something like that. There was another complaint that Nivin Pauly had used some bad words against a senior director as well.

As a response to this, Nivin Pauly said that he came to the silver screen after desiring it a lot for years. So when a senior director calls him or says they want to see him in relation to a film, he becomes very much excited and happy that words are not enough to tell that feeling. He never done anything bad to any director and all the news that came was just rumors. There may be misunderstandings but he deliberately never bothered any film maker. If someone feel bad about him or even if he done a mistake unknowingly, he said that he is seeking apology from all those film makers from the bottom of his heart.
