Malayalam actress Sruthi Lakshmi got married

Popular Mollywood actress Sruthi Lakshmi got married on January 3, Sunday to doctor Avin Anto. Sruthi Lakshmi (Sruthi Jose) had begun her career as a child artist in Television serials had come in to the cinema industry through the film named Varnakkazhchal starred by Dileep. She was a child artist in that film too. It was released in the year 2000.

She made her Television debut through the serial Nizhalukal and later become popular through the serials like Nakshatrangal and Detective Anand. After her cinema debut through Varnakkazhchakal, she had acted in films like Kharaksharangal, Swarnamedal, Manikyan as child artist. She had made her heroine debut also opposite Dileep in the film named Romeo in 2007. Later she acted in films like College Kumaran with Mohanlal, Love in Singapore with Mammootty and many other films as well. Her last release was 2015 super hit film Pathemari starring Mammootty. Taxi on Duty with Asif Ali is her upcoming release.

The wedding function was at St. Joseph’s Church Kuriachira at Thrisur. The function was at 3 PM. Ceevees Preseidency International auditorium at Thrissur was the place where the reception after the wedding took place. The reception begun on 6PM and many celebrities had come to join the party. The wedding function was attended by celebrities like Mukhta, Rimi Tomo, Jyotsna, Rajeev Pillai, Krishna Prabha, Sarayu, Shalin Zoya etc.

Sruthi Lakshmi had played heroine as well as many supporting characters in Mollywood apart from her noted characters as child artist.

Enthiran 2 story stunned me, says Rasool Pookkutty

Shankar directorial film Enthiran 2 aka Enthiran 2.0, which is the sequel of the mega Blockbuster film Enthiran had begun its shooting. As you all know Super star Rajinikanth who played the lead in the first part will play the lead in this sequel as well and instead of Aishwarya Rai who was the female of the first part, it will be Amy Jackson who will play the lead in this film. The biggest surprise in this film will be the presence of Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar as Villain to Rajinikanth. The latest on the film is come from Oscar Award winner Rasool Pookkutty, who said that the story of Enthiran 2 had just stunned him and now he is waiting for the film eagerly.

Rasool Pookkutty said that Shankar took almost 4.5 hours to narrate the full film to him and after hearing the story of the film, he was just speechless and excited. Now this words from Rasool Pookkutty had just made the expectation go sky limit for the film among the fans. AR Rahman will be the music director of this film and Antony will edit the movie. DOP will be by Nirav Shah and art direction will be done by Muthu Raj. It will be financed by Lyca productions which financed blockbuster like Kaththi directed by A R Murugados, starred by Vijay.

The film was in the news for a long time. Main rumors about the film was related to its star cast and who will play the villain to Rajinikanth was the question really. The rumors started from Aamir Khan and then moved through Vikram, Hrithik Roshan, Kamaal Haasan, Hollywood star Arnold, Hugh Jackman etc. This is the film if Shankar after his gigantic film Ai starring Vikram and Amy Jackson in the lead.

Shankar and Jeya Mohan together writing the screenplay of this film which just begun its filming. The release date or any other details is not available now. This one is the biggest India film in terms of production cost as 400 crore is said to be the budget of this flick.

B Unnikrishnan praised Charlie and Dulquer Salmaan’s performance

Dulquer Salmaan starrer film name Charlie had released in last year Christmas season and now going on to become a success in Box office. The film directed by Martin Prakatt and written by Unni R and Martin had generated mixed opinion among viewers and critics as there was a lot of anticipation among them before the release of the film. That hype had helped the film to get a great opening weekend at box office and it had grossed around 6.5 crore in its first 4 days.

Then the mixed reviews began to affect as the collections began to drop drastically in the working Days. The success of Dileep starrer flick Two Countries also affected the box office run of Charlie. But there are positive things coming out for the film as well. Popular writer and director B Unnikrishnan had praised the film after watching it. He posted a Facebook post which appreciated the whole team behind the film and Dulquer Salmaan for his good performance in the film as Charlie.

B Unnikrishnan said that Martin Prakatt and Unni R just narrated the whole story of the film like a beautiful poem which will make us remember the film for a long time. There is a sense of beauty in every aspect of the film. He said that Charlie is the best film of Martin Prakatt till now in his career and Unni R also delivered one of his best screenplays for this film.

Unnikrishnan has all praise for Dulquer Salmaan’s performance as well. He said that Dulquer had done a great job as Charlie and in most parts he really make us remember about the mannerisms of Mohanlal. Unni said that Charlie has deep shades of many Mohanlal characters we have seen in 1990’s and Dulquer had given a new level of his performance to the audience.

Unnikrishnan also praised the fabulous performance of Parvathy as Tessa and he also appreciated the work of editor Shameer who started his career in Grandmaster directed by B Unnikrishnan. Anyway this will really boost the team of Charlie.

Style Malayalam movie collection report

The much awaited Unni Mukundan starrer movie named Style had released yesterday all over Kerala. As the first Malayalam release in this new year, there is an air of expectation around the film. It has been directed by by Ithihasa fame Binu S and that also added upto the expectations.

The film is getting decent positive reviews all over and the first day collection reports says that the film had earned rupees 37 lakhs on its opening day. The collection is a decent one when we consider the fact that it is a film from upcoming youngsters. The hope is there that the collection will increase in the coming days as the film got mostly positive reviews all over.

Even some super star films registered lower collection than this on its first day last year. So this collection is a great encouragement for the young team behind the film. The film is an Unni Mukundan show and also had great show by Tovino Thomas. Unni Mukundan was fabulous with his dancing and fighting abilities. Romance and comedy in the film also attracts the audience.

The film follows the pattern of Tamil- Telugu mass masala entertainers and Binu S showed his craft again after ithihasa. Rahul Raj’s background music also getting applause.

Style Malayalam Movie Review

Style is the latest Mollywood release directed by Ithihasa fame director Binu S and starred by young star Unni Mukundan. It will be Unni Mukundan’s main release after the film named KL 10 Pathu which released last year. The film has been written by Dominic Arun and Anil Narayanan. The film does not have much anticipation till the first look and trailer release of it. But after the trailer release it had suddenly become an anticipated one among the Christmas releases. Later the flick postponed to New year. The flick had been financed by Rajesh Augustine and distributed by LJ films owned by director Lal Jose.

The story of the film develops around the life of Tom played by Unni Mukundan. He is a car Mechanic. He was living happily with his father, mother and he has a younger brother too named Jerry. The story move forward when he meets a girl named Diya and falls in love with her. There is a parallel plot of the character named Edgar played by Tovino Thomas also moving in the film. Edgar is a psycho type character and he comes in to the life of Tom and Diya through an accident that happened to his favourite car and there story takes a turn.

Binu S was shot to fame with the success of Ithihasa which had Shine Tom Chacko, Balu Varghese and Anusree in the lead. That film which was a fantasy comedy was really an unexpected success in Mollywood. So this time he goes big with an action thriller which is made with full of stylish action, romance sequences and have humor part too to engage the audience. The main focus was on to the stylish performance of Unni Mukundan and Tovino Thomas and they had done their character to the maximum they can. While Unni Mukundan got applause for his stylish appearance and fight sequences, Tovino Thomas had stole show with his fabulous screen presence and cool attitude on screen.

DOP by Sinoj Ayyappan was super as his frames were very good like that he did in Ithihasa. Jassie Gift’s songs were just average ones and the background scoring by Rahul Raj were mass even though at many parts it reminded us of various Tamil film’s background music. Priya Khandelwal was just ok as the female lead and in fact she had nothing to do in the film except her cute looks. The fight sequences were high octane, the one before the interval portion. Unni Mukundan was just fabulous in that sequence specially. He is good in the romantic and comic part as well.

Binu S had narrated the story in the usual manner of an action entertainer and there is nothing extraordinary or never seen before stuff in the film. Style is altogether a decent mass entertainer for those who loves Tamil or Telugu like entertainers. It’s an out and out Unni Mukundan show.

Prithviraj-RS Vimal joins again for a film !

Ennu Ninte Moideen is still running successfully at theaters all over and the director RS Vimal on cloud nine after the mega success of his debut film. The film had raked in a gross collection around 60 crore as of now as per reports. Ennu Ninte Moideen also bring luck to Prithviraj Sukumaran who played the lead role named Moideen as well. Because Prithviraj was been going through one of the worst patch in his career with back to back disasters and series of flops before the release of this film.

But Ennu Ninte Moideen turned all that bad luck around and there started the lucky time of Prithviraj. Then he had another blockbuster in his kitty as well named Amar Akbar Anthony directed by Nadirsha. Even though it is a multi-star film with Jayasurya and Indrajith also playing the lead, the boost it gave to Prithviraj’s career is something special as well. The flick had raked in a gross collection around 30 crore rupees as per reports. His last film Anarkkali  also got good response at boxoffice.

Among all this another good news is coming for Mollywood movie lovers as director RS Vimal said to media that he will be joining with Prithviraj again for a film this year. Details about that film is not much revealed by the director. RS Vimal said that he had gone through a lot of hardships while he was writing the life story of Moideen and Kanchanamala as a script and also while making the film.

There was also reports that Prithviraj will not do any film for almost two years from now as he is going to start Aaadu Jeevitham by Blessy, early next year.

Mohanlal’s second only Telugu film in his career is now in progress at Hyderabad. The film is titled as Manamantha and is directing by the director who had won national award for his first film of his career, Chandrashekhar Yeleti. His film Aithe had won National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Telugu in 2003. Apart from that that film had won Nandi Award for Best Story Writer, Nandi Special Jury Award-Pavan Malhotra, Filmfare Best Villain Award (Telugu) – Pavan Malhotra etc. In this film Mohanlal is playing the lead and Gauthami is playing the female lead opposite him.

Chandrasekhar Yeleti had directed only 6 films before this one in his 13 year old career as a film director. He always looked for class film in an industry who cares more for mass masala entertainers. He had won two Andhrapradesh Nandi awards for his screenplays of the film Aithe and Anukokunda Oka Roju. Later he directed films like Okkadunnadu, 50 Lakhs, Pranayam and Sahasam. Manamandha will have artists like Urvashi, Nedumudi Venu, S P Balasubramaniam etc as well as per latest reports and it will be a small budget film. All his films had been noted for its intelligent screenplays and the creative concepts of him had got appreciation from both critics as well as from the audience alike.

Mohanlal had earlier played only a cameo role in Telugu film in his career. It was in a song sequence in the film Gandeevam directed by Priyadarshan, the popular Mollywood director and a great friend of Mohanlal. Now, Mohanlal is learning the Telugu language for playing the lead character in this film and he reportedly doing another Telugu film as well with Jr NTR, which will be directed by Koratala Siva. It will be a mass entertainer as per reports and titled as Janatha Garage.

Yesterday, Chandrasekhar Yeleti had shared a photo with Mohanlal from the shooting spot of the film Manamandha and he said that more updates about the film will come soon through his official Facebook Page. Let’s wait a great film which has scope for the greatest actor in Indian screen to perform.
