Dulquer Salmaan is busy and have no dates for 2 years

Young star of Mollywood, Dulquer Salmaan is going through the busy schedules of his career. The young star who got a great fan following here in Kerala also made his presence felt in Tamil as well this year with Mani Ratnam film. Now the latest report says that Dulquer Salmaan had no dates at all for the next two years and he will be free only around 2018. Many directors wants his dates and many newcomers also coming with stories for him. But he now stopped hearing new stories and want to finish the works that he has committed already. The sources close to him said that he is focusing more on the recently confirmed projects and not taking up new projects as he had no dates for almost 2 years.

His film Charlie had released last week and doing good at box office even though it amassed mixed reviews. He is now finishing up two projects. One is Kali, directed by Sameer Thahir and financed by Sameer Thahir, Shyju Khalid and Ashiq Usman. Sai Pallavi playing the lead in the film and it is said to be a March release in 2016. Another film he is doing now is the Rajeev Ravi directorial untitled film which has completed its first schedule. Not much details about the film is revealed to the media till now.

After that he will join the film directed by Pratap Pothen and the screenplay of that film will be done by Anjali Menon. Then he may join the film directed by Amal Neerad. This fun film will be financed jointly by Amal Neerad and Anwar Rasheed as per reports and they had even fixed the release date of the film even before beginning the shoot. As per reports it will release on August 16 next year.

Then he had film directed by Anoop Sathyan, son of Sathyan Anthikkad. It will be scripted by Bobby-Sanjay duo and financed by Prem Prakash under the banner of Prakash Movie tone. There are unconfirmed reports that Dulquer is playing the lead in the film directed by the son of veteran director Sibi Malayil as well.

Amal Neerad and Anwar Rasheed to come up with Dulquer and Fahad project in 2016 !

2016 will see some great projects in Mollywood and two films all set to join that much awaited film list of 2016. It will be from Amal Neerad and Anwar Rasheed. Anwar Rasheed’s last full -fledged movie was Usthad Hotel released some years back which was written by Anjali Menon. It was a super success as well. Later he done a section of an anthology film named 5 Sundarikal and the name of his film in it is Aamy.

Then he turned his focus on to the production of films. He had financed 2 projects named Bangalore Days (in association with Sophia Paul’s Weekend Blockbusters) and Premam. Both films are mega blockbusters as well. Now as per reports he will join hands with Amal Neerad in production side. They will jointly produce a Dulquer Film and Fahad Film next year which will be directed by Amal and Anwar respectively as well.

Amal Neerad will direct the Dulquer Salmaan film, which is a fun film and it will release on August 16, 2016. Fahad film will be directed by Anwar Rasheed and it will be released on September 9, 2016. Both films will be jointly financed by these two, under the banner of A & A Productions. Amal Neerad film is not title yet and there are reports that Dulquer will play a dancer in that film. About Anwar Rasheed film, there are some rumors that the film is titled as Maniyarayile Jinnu. But it is not a confirmed one.

Amal Neerad had financed a film last year along with Fahad Fazil. It was Iyyobinte Pusthakam and was financially profitable as per reports. Amal Neerad also financed a film name Bachelor Party earlier. Fahad Fazil is now sporting a new look with clean shaved head and heavy beard and reports says that he is preparing like this for the Anwar Rasheed film which will start next year. Amal Neerad- Dulquer Salmaan film will be their second association after Kullante Bharya, which one of the films of the anthology film 5 Sundarikal.

Style coming with a tagline of Mollywood’s first cliche movie in 2016 !

Binu S shot to fame with his first film Ithihasa which has Shine Tom Chacko in the lead role. The flick has been a surprise hit and the comedy fantasy story told by him was accepted by the audience with applause. The making style of the film had got great appreciation as well. Now he is coming with his second film named Style and it will release on January 2, 2016. The film is coming with a tag line of “Mollywood’s first cliche movie in 2016!” and it already caught the attention of the audience with its superb trailer.

Unni Mukundan and Tovino Thomas playing the lead characters in this film and it is said to be a career changing film for both the actors. Unni Mukundan plays the hero named Tom in this film and Tovino Thomas plays the villain named Edgar. The film has stars like Balu Varghese, Vijaya Raghavan etc and the female lead is a Mumba based model named Priya Ghandwal.

The flick is said to be an out and out action thriller but will have all the elements to entertain even the family audience as well. Yet, the main aim of the film is to make the youngsters thrill with high octane action sequences, chases etc. Unni Mukundan’s mass look and Tovino’s hot look already went viral in social medias as well.

The flick had earlier planned as a Christmas release but due to the theater strike that happened, a flurry of releases came and style had to postpone its date to January 2. Let’s hope that this New Year will be a stylish year for the team behind Style and hope that it will turn a mass hit among the youth.

Most of the films could not make it not because they lack quality but the wide release and also the flurry of releases came this year when a film is doing good at box office at a time. This is the film directed by debutant film maker G Prajith and scripted by Vineeth Sreenivasan. This Nivin Pauly starrer released in March this year and had become the first blockbuster of the year by doing a total business around the 30 crore mark.

Bhaskar the Rascal

The Siddique directorial and written film had released in this year Vishu day and become a blockbuster hit by making almost 17 crore from its worldwide gross. The film had given a sigh of relief for Mammootty as this was the first big hit of his career in last 5 years.

This Nivin Pauly starrer had become the second biggest grosser ever in Mollywood history and placed comfortably there behind Drishyam by making a total business around 66 crores. It was directed, written and edited by Alphonse Puthren and it is now remaking to Telugu as well. It had ran 200 days in Tamil Nadu as well.

Ennu Ninte Moideen

The Prithviraj starrer flick directed by debutant RS Vimal had become the 4th blockbuster of this year and had become the second highest grosser from Kerala surpassing Premam. It had earned a total gross of 41 crore from Kerala alone and the total business it had done is above 60 crores as well.

This super hit film is said to be the best film of this year with some sterling performance from Mammootty and Sreenivasan. The film direct by Salim Ahammad had won the hearts of both critics as well as audience.

Two Countries : Fastest 10 crore in Mollywood history..!

Dileep’s Christmas release Two Countries is cruising towards a thumping success by breaking and creating records. As per the latest collection report of the film, it had crossed 10 crore mark in box office and that too in just 5 days. It is a new record for Mollywood and it is the fastest 10 crore earning Malayalam movie as well. The film had release around 90 screens and now it is running in 123 screens all over Kerala. The screens and shows were increased after the first day as the rush going high.

The film is now surely become the blockbuster of this year and the film is the hatrick box office success of Dileep- Shafi Combination. Family support is the main reason for success of this film. The film is a family-comedy entertainer and people really wanted this kind of stuff from him. The film is going great in its mouth publicity and have to say that there not even a single negative review for the film so far in social media and among the common people.

The film had a great star cast including Dileep, Mamta Mohandas, Mukesh, Aju Varghese, Suraj Venjarammood, Lena, Kanaran Harish, Vijaya Raghavan, Vinaya Prasad, Isha Talvar, Makarand Deshpande, Ajmal, Riyaz Khan, Shirnda, Rafi, Vijaya Raghavan, Kalashala Babu, Jagadeesh etc. Rafi had written the screenplay of this comedy film for his brother Shafi and his character in the film also made people laugh.

Two countries had collected 1.95 crore in its first day and then it had collected more than 2 crore in its second and 3rd day. It made his tally to 6.32 crore in its first 3 days. 4th and 5th day also witnessed collections close to 2 crores and totally it had earned above 10 crore from 5 days. The point has to be noted that it is only the collection from Kerala. The outside collection is not available and overseas release will only be in January 2016.

Anyway Janapriya Nayakan Dileep had made his comeback a strong one and gave a perfect reply to those who said that his days are over.

Two Countries Collection Report – 3 Days

It seems that Dileeps Christmas film Two countries is on the way to become one of the biggest hit in Mollywood as the film is going great at box office with terrific word of mouth from people. As per the latest report from trade guides, Dileep’s new flick had amassed rupees 6.26 crore from just 3 days of its theater run here in Kerala. Now we can say that Two Countries is clearly on top of Dulquer Salmaan’s Charlie in terms of its mouth publicity as well as in its box office collections.

Charlie had got rupees 6.8 cr in 4 days of its run in Kerala and Two countries got 6.26 crores from just 3 days. Charlie had got 2.18 crore from its first day and Two Countries had got 1.25 crore on its first day. But from there Two Countries had got increased screen count as well as increasing collection. While Charlie shows drop in collection from first day, Two Countries is showing great hike in collection as it grossed more than 2 crore from its second day and in third day too it had collected amount above 2 crore.

As per reports in its second day it had collected an amount close to 2.10 crore and its third day, which was a Sunday it had collected above 2.20, which is a single day collection record as well. Dileep-Shafi team had made a terrific come back with this film which is moving to a blockbuster and Mamta Mohandas also deserves credit for her fabtastic show in the film. Shafi’s brother and noted writer/director Rafi had written the script of this film and he had acted in it as well.

Anyway popular actor is now back with a bang and Two Countries seems to be on its way to surpass many collection records in Mollywood as well. Great word of mouth from the people is the key to its success as it had become the first choice of family audience this season. Social media was debating only one issue in last few days and it is about the first day collection record of Loham and Charlie. Loham made history this year by earning 2.14 crores from its first day from Kerala and surpassed the record made by Mohanlal’s Casanovva in 2011. Casanovva had earned rupees 2.10 crore from its first day. Loham released in 141 screens had surpassed that record this year Onam season.

Now Charlie had released in 114 screens reportedly broke that record by a small margin of 4 lakhs rupees as it had earned 2.18 crore from its first day as per initial reports. Then start the fan war and hot discussions in social media about the truth behind Charlie collections and all that. But now it seems all clear as the producer/distributor Antony Perumbavoor told to Malayala Manorama that the first day collection of the film Loham is a whopping 2.54 crores and still the flick ruling the record books in style.

Only distributor can give the correct collection record of a film. In the case of Loham, it is financed under the banner of Ashirvad Cinemas and it was distributed by Maxlab which is also owned by the production team. So when the sources close to them gives the figure of their film’s collection we have to accept it. Charlie had reportedly earned above 2 crore for sure from its first day and it is a big thing for a young star like Dulquer Salmaan. He is the only Mollywood star to cross the 2 crore mark in first day other than the Mohanlal who had done it twice.

2015 altogether is a good year for Mollywood and the Christmas releases is providing a perfect end to the year by ringing the money bells in box office this season. Due to theater strike, the Christmas releases came a little late this year and some of the earlier planned releases had to postpone the release to January as well. So as many as 4 Malayalam releases came to grace the silver screens here as Christmas releases. Charlie starring Dulquer Salmaan and Jo and the Boy starring Manju Warrier came on 24th December and Two Countries starring Dileep and Adi Kapyare Koottamni starring Dhyan Sreenivasan, Neeraj Madhav, Aju Varghese etc came on 25th December as well. Among this Charlie and Two Countries are now moving to super success as well.

This Dulquer Salmaan-Parvathy starrer had created mixed response among the audience but performing great in box office. From its first 4 days (weekend collection), it had amassed a total above 6. 8 crore. Now the week days will decide whether the film sustains it or not. The box office status also can be said then only.

Two Countries is the Dileep- Mamta Mohandas starrer flick directed by Shafi and scripted by his brother Rafi. The film got the best word of mouth from theaters in this Christmas season as everyone who watches the film comes out satisfied and happy. We can assure that Two countries will be the 3rd consecutive success from Dileep- Shafi combination. The film had started slow at box office but getting great pace at box office now with extra screens added up and the rush becoming uncontrollable as well. As per official reports the film had raked in an amount above 6.2 crore from its first weekend and going great in week days as well.

Friday film house financed this film in association with Carnival motion pictures.

We have to wait some more days to say who will be the Christmas winner, whether its Charlie or may be Two Countries.
