Puli Murugan, from the date of the announcement of the film, it had become the most anticipated film in Malayalam cinema and the hype around the film is rising day by day. The hype is because of the news that it will be one of the biggest film in Mohanlal’s career and also due to the news that it will have the biggest release ever witnessed by Malayalam cinema. As usual the name Mohanlal is enough to create unmatchable hype in Mollywood and that is happening here as well.

Another reason for the film is in news is because of the secret way of the team of the film. The film is being shot in utmost secrecy and with tight security. No one has permission to enter shooting premises other than cast and crew members and still no picture from the shooting spot is out in social Media. So the anticipation rises and also fake news about the film is doing its round in various online media pages as well. But now we are giving you an update which is almost a confirmed one that Puli Murugan which is expected to be Christmas release of Mohanlal this year will only come next year.

The changing of the expected time of its release is due to the extended schedule of the film due to bad weather. The flick had almost 120 days of shoot and now around 70 days shoot is completed. Still more than 50-60 days are required for the shoot and post production also needs much time as it had importance for VFX. So most probably the film will come only next year Vishu season or may be in the month of March. Some reports indicating that if things go smoothly it may come in Januray as well. But one this damn sure that Mohanlal fans have to wait till next year to see their super star in the Puli Murugan avatar.

The flick is directing by Hit maker Vysakh and financed by Tomichan Mulakupadam under his own banner of Mulakupadam films. The flick had a great star cast as well and most of them are not revealed as well.

Mohanlal is incomparable says M Padmakumar

M Padmakumar is coming this Thursday with the much anticipated Mohanlal flick named Kanal. The positive factor before the release of the film is that the flick is not creating any kind of over hype even though the teaser and trailer had given the hope of getting a good film. The film said to be one which utilizes Mohanlal as an actor more than Mohanlal as a commercial commodity. The director even this before the start of the shoot as well that he is looking forward to make use of the acting skill of Mohanlal rather than his star power which is the topmost among Malayalam film actors. Padmakumar is now in awe of this actor’s performance in the film and says that Mohanlal as an actor and as person is incomparable. He said this in an exclusive interview given to Manorama online.

Padmakumar says he chose Mohanlal not only because he is his favorite actor, but the comfort level he shares with Mohanlal and the range of output he gives as an actor made him to choose him as the male lead of this film. This character was really made for him and each and every spectator can feel it after watching the film. Mohanlal’s cooperation to the director and entire team of the film is awesome to say the least.

He says that this is the case with all the film and directors he works with. He dedicates himself to the film and character and do whatever we say to do for the perfection of the character. He never shows any discrimination to the unit members and he will be with each and every one without any starry air flowing around him. No one in the set cannot forget the moments with Mohanlal all through their life.

Padmakumar said that Mohanlal never even complained even for once when the shoot had to follow some extreme sessions through great heat and weather problems. That is his greatness and that’s what make him the best as a person as well. He said that each fore main actors in this film done an amazing job and hopes that we all will like it after watching the film.

Jayasurya is selected as the most sensational celebrity of Mollywood in 2015. Till last year it was Mohanlal who was at the top spot and this year Jayasurya made it to the top. The survey is done on the base of award nights, television shows and another public functions celebrities attends. Last year Jayasurya was on the 7th spot in this list. Tamilnadu sensational celebrity list was published recently and it was actress Amala Paul. In Bollywood it was Priyanka Chopra. Mohanlal occupied 4th spot in the list while second spot and 3rd spot was occupied by Nivin Pauly and Mammootty. Mammootty was at 10th place last year. Rima Kallingal was at the 5 th spot this year.

But the danger in this list is that hackers and virus makers loves these celebrities as they put their harmful internet links with the names of these celebrities. Mohanlal’s name was used by hackers till last year to lead Malayali people to these kind of trap. But due to the success received by Nivin Pauly and news made by Jayasurya their name came at the top in searches and so the hackers are likely to use their keywords with the name of these celebrities. Some recent controversies made Mammootty also come to the 3rd place from last year’s 10th place.

In Bollywood the top searches are made in the name of Priyanka Chopra, sradha Kapoor, Kapil sharma and jacquline Fernandez. In Kollywood, Amala paul is followed by Arya and in Malayalam as we said above Jayasurya and Nivin Pauly leading the pack. In Marathi cinema its super star MohanAgashe and in odia its actress Barsha Priyadarshini. In Bhojpuri its Rani Chatterjee and in Punjabi its Daljit Dosanjh. In Telugu its actress Kriti Sanon as well.

Ennu Ninte Moideen is moving to 30 crore mark in fast pace

As per the latest analysis of trade guides from Mollywood , the blockbuster and classic hit film Ennu Ninte Moideen directed by RS Vimal, is moving to the privileged 30 crore Mark of Mollywood cinemas in fast pace. As per reports the 30 day collection of the film is around 28 crore rupees and it is awesome to say the least. The share which the film is got till now is around 12 crore rupees and now it only need 1 crore+ rupees to get a profit from theaters alone as its budget is around 13 crore rupees.

There only 4 movie in Malayalam cinema history that had surpassed the 30 crore rupees mark in Mollywood. The first one was the Multi-starrer film Twenty20 with a life time gross of 32 crores. Then came the ultimate hit in Mollywood, the Mohanlal starrer with a life time gross of 66 crores and total revenue of 75 crores. After Drishyam came Bangalore Days which is also a multi-starrer which got a life time gross around 40 crores and total revenue around 48 crores. The last one being Premam which released this year with a life time gross around 50 crores and total revenue around 60 crores. Moideen is all set to take a step forward to that elite club within days and become the fifth 30 crore film in Mollywood history.

If the total gross from all over took in to consideration, which is not yet available we think the film had already crossed the 30 crore mark as well and now it is almost sure that it will surpass Twenty 20 and Bangalore Days total revenue. Premam total revenue is a bit hard to reach and Drishyam seems to be there sitting very safe as it touched the magical 75 crore.

Out of these 5 films Moideen is the costliest film with 13 crore budget and Drishyam is the low budget film with only 4.5 crore budget. So in Profit share also Drishyam is far on top than any other flicks here in this list of highest grossers.

The recent issue that become a topic of discussion in social media platforms about Malayalam cinema was involving Kanchanamala and actor Dileep. It was all against the team behind the film Ennu Ninte Moideen including director RS Vimal, the financers of the film and actor Prithviraj as well. The issue all started when the team behind the film is reportedly neglected Kanchanamala and her dream of setting up a memorial for Moideen under the title Moideen Seva Mandir.

The flick is a huge success based on her real life story and amassing crores of rupees from box office. For her it is only the case of 10 to 15 lakhs for a building to set up the Moideen Seva Mandir. But nobody came to help her. Then came our popular actor Dileep with his helping hands and he offered to make a new building for Kanchanamala and her Moideen Seva Mandir which is now in a little shed which is degenerated. Dileep also came to Mukkam today and met her in this regard. There is great protest going on against the team of the film for neglecting Kanchanamala. But the director Vimal has a few words to say to us regarding this issue.

Vimal at first appreciated popular actor Dileep for his effort to rebuild Moideen Seva Mandir. Vimal said that it was their wish as well even before starting the shoot of the film that the Moideen Memorial Moideen Seva Mandir has to be the biggest memoir for love in this world. They also started the steps to make it real as well. But during the last phase of the shoot some crooked people made Kanchanamala to misunderstand Vimal and she filed a case against him in the court at Kozhikkod. The case is still in the consideration of the honorable court. So they cannot do anything for Moideen Seva mandir as if they had done anything it will be like insulting the court as the case is still on between Kanchanamala and Vimal.

That is why they cannot able to do anything even after wish to do it. So he says his regards to Dileep who has come forward to help Kanchanamala recognizing their difficulty as well. Vimal wants other good hearted people also to come forward at help the cause.

A news which is coming in that universal star Mohanlal is joining hands with director Major Ravi again and this time again for a military film which will be based on 1971 war between Indian and Pakistan. 1971 war between India and Pakistan is a direct confrontation between the two sides during the 1971 Bangladesh Liberation war.

Mohanlal and Major Ravi had provided two success before and they are Keerthichakra which was Major Ravi’s debut film as a director and Kurukshetra which he had done with the same character named Major Mahadevan in the lead played by Mohanlal. Major Ravi’s Mammootty film Mission 90 days and two other Mohanlal films Kandahar and Karmayodha did not do well at box office as well. But he back with a success this year named Picket 43 which had Prithviraj in the lead.

Major Ravi-Mohanlal combination is well-known and when it comes to Military Films we have to admit that they formed a great combination. The Patriotic spirit Major ravi had given through his films and characters was spectacular and when it comes to Major Mahadevan, the military character played by Mohanlal, it is considered as the best military character ever made in Mollywood. Mohanlal’s commitment and great efforts to become a military character and his passion for the soldiers also won him the honorary Lieutenant Colonel Rank in Territorial Army of India. Mohanlal becomes the first Indian actor as well to get that honor.

It is still don’t know that whether through this upcoming film titled 71 War Major Ravi again coming with Major Mahadevan or not. The flick will be in a thriller format this time set in a military background and the cast other than Mohanlal and also the crew members name is not yet revealed to the Media. The flick will be financed by Haneef Muhammad under Red Rose Entertainments.

As per reports Major Ravi is planning a family film with Mohanlal as well. He also told that he is thinking about a big budget war film based on the Indo- China war with Mohanlal and Prithvi Raj in the lead as well.

Jayasurya says rather than a star he wants be known as a good actor or a brilliant actor. Jayasurya expressed his dream in an interview to manorama online. He says that he always took films seriously and now a days more serious about what he is doing. His quest for such characters made him do Appothikkiri, Iyyobinte Pusthakam, Kumbasaram etc. In his two upcoming films as well he had done something very unique. In Nadirsha directorial film Amar Akbar Anthony he had done the character of Akbar who has problem with his legs or a handicapped sort of character. And in Su Su Sudhi Vathmeekam directed by Ranjith Sankar, Jayasurya is doing a character who has the problem of stammering. Jayasurya says that he had really put in great effort both mentally and physically to do both roles and when it comes to Sudhi in Renjith Sankar film it was really an uphill task as an actor. And he feels that he had done justice to both roles and is all satisfied by his performance in both the films.

This man is really going to scale great heights as he had the determination and right frame of mind to do it. As Jayasurya said he had no godfathers in the industry. So if he falls, he has only himself but none to use as a support. So he will be focused and disciplined.
