At last another rumour had ended as well in the way it should be. There were some rumors regarding the movie debut of Jhanvi who is the daughter of Sridevi who is considered as one of the best actress India has ever seen. The report came earlier in such that Sridevi is all set to launch her daughter in films very soon and it might be opposite Dulquer Salmaan in a film by K V Vijayendra Prasad directorial film. K V Vijayendra Prasad is the story writer of the all-time blockbusters of Indian cinema like Baahubali and Bajrangi Bhaijaan.

But the latest update on the rumor is that Sridevi herself said that her daughter is not going to act in any films soon and all that news about Jhanvi making her debut in a K V Vijayendra Prasad film opposite Mollywood heartthrob Dulquer Salmaan is just rumors only. She said that Jhanvi is focusing on her studies now and nothing else is in her mind other than getting higher education. Sridevi said that Jhanvi just completed her graduation now and she has not signed any film yet.

All that news was rumor and she is too young to think about all of that. If it is in her destiny to become an actress she will be. Sridevi said that she also did not planned about her entry as an actress, it just happened. Like that if her daughter wants to be an actress it will happen and there was no planning behind it and there should not be. There was earlier reports that Jhanvi got a call from Tollywood to play the heroine opposite the sons of mega star Chiranjeevi and super star Nagarjuna. But Sridevi turned that all down. Later there were rumors that Sridevi is planning to make her daughter’s entry with Shahrukh Khan’s son Abram and she had already talked about it with Shahrukh and was waiting for that.

Anyway what she is saying now is against all that rumors and hope that Jhanvi may once become an actress like her like her mother feels that is to become an actress without any planning or something like that. Meanwhile Sridevi is looking forward to the release of Puli which will come on October 1st in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. She has played a very powerful role in it.

Thani Oruvan will speak Telugu through Ram Charan

The super hit Tamil movie Thani Oruvan will be remade into Telugu. And Ram Charan will be playing the lead. Ram Charan was first internationally acclaimed with his movie Magadheera. After that he has been that stylish star everyone could dream of. This Tamil movie Thani Oruvan’s remake will be directed by Surender Reddy. Malayalis are familiar of Ram Charan because of S S Rajamouli’s Magadheera in which his exceptional performance made it a blockbuster success in all its versions. Ram Charan was actually not into acting in remakes but after watching the trailer of Thani Oruvan Ram Charan agreed to do the role without watching the film and handed this project to Surender Reddy, with whom he promised to do a film.

In Tamil, Thani Oruvan received much recognition and applause for its fantabulous rendition. The film starring Jayam Ravi and Arvind Swamy in the lead and their performances were widely appreciated. The movie was like a revolution in the theatres and the audience loved it by making it the blockbuster hit of this season. The movie was released on August 28, 2015.

About the remake of the movie, it was first reported that the they tried to get Jayam Raja for directing the Telugu version as he was the director of the Tamil version but later it was handed over to Surender Reddy. Ram Charan, son of Chiranjeevi started out his career in the movie Chirutha in 2007 but got international recognition after his project with Rajamouli’s Magadheera in which its dubbed versions to other regional languages backed him up with the popularity and fame.

Now this will be truly a delight to watch Ram Charan in the Thani Oruvan’s Telugu version which will be dubbed into other regional languages including Malayalam. Hope this remake do justice to the original Tamil film by Jayam Raja who was the scriptwriter and director as well. In Tamil, Arvind Swamy’s negative lead was a much talked and praised character as this was his film which strongly marked his comeback after some time and it really shook Kollywood industry because of his notable performance. Jomon T John lashes out against lack of projection facilities in Theaters

Ennu Ninte Moideen is a film not only noted for its screenplay, director or for the performance of the artists in it. But also noted for its cinematography, sound design, music and many other technical perfections as well. Among all super technical perfections in the film one thing clearly stands out from the rest and that is the fantabulous visuals given to us by the cameraman Jomon T John.

Each frame of the film gave us something very unique in its color tone, its feel etc and the success of the film owes much to the fabulous work of Jomon T John. But the cameraman is shattered after watching his work in one of our theater and Jomon T John has really lashed out in an interview with Manorama online against the lack of projection facilities in our theaters and also the attitude of our theaters about the poor quality of their projection system.

Jomon T John said that in a particular scene in the film in which it shows a temple festival they had used a golden colour filter while doing the digital intermediate. It is done in such a way that the skin tone of the actress is also have to look golden. But when he saw it in the theater in Ernakulam city he felt a lot of pain and felt shattered as the frame which they intended to look in a golden color looks pale white on the screen. Jomon says that it is due to the ages old and bad projection facility in the theaters. They don’t even care to replace a filter bulb in their projection system after taking 100 or 150 rupees from the audience as the ticket charge.

In the case of sound system as well same is the situation. In Bollywood films they gave months to colour grading alone for a film. We are also giving great importance to make it technically perfect. But all our effort in the technical side is spoiled by these kind of poor quality projection system in our theaters and that is killing the standard of our cinema.

At last the much awaited Dulquer Salmaan film directed by Rajeev Ravi had started rolling yesterday and the young star Dulquer Salmaan himself announced it through the Facebook page of his. Dulquwr Salmaan said that the film tells a very interesting story as well as is bringing you a very different genre. He also said that it is a very ambitious project as well. Dulquer says that he want say more and more details about the character and film to us because it excites him so much.

But he is now controlling himself a bit because everyone behind the film feels that when the audience see the film without knowing much about it and specially nothing much about the character played by Dulquer Salmaan, then it will be more interesting and surprising for him. The final product will feel so better than some tiny details he shares to his fans through his page.In the coming days even though more details about the cast and crew and also about the things in the film will come out hopefully.

This is Rajeev Ravi’s 3rd venture as a director as he had done two films earlier named Annayum Rasoolum and Njan Steve Lopez. In the first one young star Fahad Fazil and Andrea Jerehmia played the lead roles and in the latter one Fahad Fazil’s brother Farhan Fazil and actor Krishna Kumar’s daughter Ahaana Krishnakumar played the lead roles. Both were debutants as well. Those two films of him told romantic stories and it is very interesting to see what type of story he going to tell in his 3rd film with Dulquer Salmaan as he also had an image of Romantic hero. Rajeev Ravi’s first two film were box office flops even though it had got critically good appreciation. So this might be an attempt of him to get that box office success as well which is eluding his films.

There were some reports came in earlier that Dulquer is playing an underworld Don in this film. But it is not a confirmed one. Dulquer is now waiting for the release of his film Charlie directed by Martin Prakkat.

Ennu Ninte Moideen which had already become a super success as well as classic romantic film in Malayalam cinema is also receiving some criticism as well from different corners and for different reasons. The first one was came from real life Kanchanamala itself when she said that even though they picturized the romance between she and Moideen beautifully, they did not did justice to the families of both Moideen and hers. They picturized it in a way that insults their family members.

Then another criticism has came from VT Balram MLA who criticized the film about its wrong political setting. VT Balram opined that the political issues and the political background mentioning in the film is completely wrong and the writer/director have to take extra care on that aspect as he is telling a real life story before people. Now the latest one is from Hameed Chennamangaloor who is a prominent writer and social critic in Kerala who says that the love affair between Moideen and Kanchanamala was not at all sincere.

Hameed Chennamangaloor while speaking to a television channel about the film said that now what happening is that the film encourages a fake glorifying of the love relation between Moideen and Kanchanamala. Hameed says that they are in relationship for almost 25 years before moideen dies. If there love was sincere they can unite even before that. And he asks that if Kanchanamala loves moideen that much then why is not getting ready to build a memoir for Moideen from the money she has now as she has fair amount of property in her name still. He says that Kanchanamala started all activities related to moideen memorial from the house of moideen himself and later the relatives of moideen had to take all that property back from her. It shows that she is selfish and telling the stories about a fake love.

There is even an opinion that the new generation film viewers also ridiculing Moideen-Kanchanamala love as even after loving each other for almost 25 years why they can’t be able to go for a marriage. Anyway the film had triggered a point for discussion in society and that itself is a success of the film we must say.

Puli Murugan all set for the biggest release ever in Malayalam

If you ask us which is the most awaited movie which is coming to grace the silver screen all over Kerala in the near future then our reply will be one name. Yes, it’s Puli Murugan, the big budget Mohanlal film which is being conceived by hit maker Vysakh and written by Udayakrishna who has written many commercial super success with his writing partner Sibi K Thomas. This is Vyasakh’s first film with the universal star Mohanlal and this also happened to be the first film of which Udaya Krishna writing the script independently.

The flick has been already in the news for its big budget set up, its star cast, its crew details and also due to its mass title. But the latest reports coming about the film says that Puli Murugan is all set for the biggest ever release in Kerala which Malayalam cinema has ever saw in its history. It was Mohanlal’s film Casanovva which hold that record for record number of screens in Kerala with 202 screens when it was released in 2012.

Now another Mohanlal film is getting ready to break his own record which is a usual thing here in Mollywood. Mohanlal films are the usual ones which creates collection records and all sorts of commercially based records here at Mollywood and usually he is the one who breaks it with his other films as well. Recently his film Loham broke the record of highest first day collection for a Malayalam film in Kerala. And it had broke his own Casanovva’s record which was set in 2012.

Puli Murugan which said to be a mass entertainer as well as telling a realistic story involving both human and animal emotion has a great team behind the film. The action sequences in the film which will be its highlight is choreographed by none other the man behind the epic action of Baahubali, Mr. Peter Hein. The flick has more than 60 prominent artists as per reports and the filming is going on in the dense forests at complete secrecy.

Puli Murugan which is financed by Tomichan Mulakupadam under the banner of Mulakupadam Release will be distributed by Mohanlal’s own Aashirvad Cinemas through Maxlab. It may grace the screens on this December or in the coming January.

Mohanlal will not be a part of Shaji N Karun’s Gaadha ?

Gaadha, a film that was announced some years before was one of the much anticipated film in Malayalam. It was become that much anticipated due to two names. Mohanlal and Shaji N Karun. Both are national award winning artist and their previous association had won national recognition as well. It was Vanaprastham produced by Mohanlal himself and directed by Shaji N Karun. The film had won the best film the year award as well Mohanlal won the best actor award as well in the national level.

Apart from these two the attraction of this film Gaadha is that it will be based on the work of popular literary figure T Padmanabhan titles Kadal. But the film’s works delayed due to some unknown problems and now a news coming in that Mohanlal will not be a part of this film anymore.

Director Shaji N Karun told to Onlookers Media that Gaadha will start its filming next year and the chances of Mohanlal playing the lead in the film is very less. He said that it was due to the budget of the film. The budget of the film will go very much beyond the expected level if Mohanlal comes us the male lead in the film. Mohanlal is the most valuable star in Malayalam cinema right now and if they add his remuneration to the estimated budget of the film, it will go well beyond what they expected.

The film is financed by an Indo-Polish-French association and it will have technicians from foreign countries as well. The will also have locations outside India and will have a big canvas to tell the epic story. Shaji N karun and Mohanlal had all set to do that last year but due to the delay in technical side and production side Shaji had done a film with Jayaram in the meanwhile named Sopanam.

Earlier Mohanlal himself in an interview told that he is waiting for the film to happen and we also heard news that Jayaprada will play the female lead opposite Mohanlal in this. Now it seems that all hopes are in vein and we all have to see this film without the complete actor in it. Shaji N Karun told Onlookers Media that after sorting out the production issue it will surely start rolling from next year. Now we prays that if there is any remote chance of Mohanlal can come in to the film then it might happen by the grace of god.

Ennu Ninte Moideen Collection Report – 5 days collection

Prithviraj starrer Film Ennu Ninte Moideen directed by RS Vimal had took a superb opening in its first five days in Box Office. Tremendous word of mouth had helped the film to cruise at the box office and it set the money bells ringing for the film in a big way. The flick which tells an onscreen depiction of real life love story of Moideen and Kanchanamala already hailed as one of the romantic classics in our Malayalam cinema history.

Prithviraj now can have a sigh of relief as the film had provided him a great come back after his 3-4 continuous flops. The failure of Double Barrel which is one of the big budget films financed by his production house was really a great let down from him. But the actor and star is back with a bang and 5 crore collection for a class film like Ennu Ninte Moideen in just 5 days is really astonishing and once again proves that fact that there is always support for a good film from the spectators here.

The film had only took an average opening grossing only 81 Lakhs in the very first day. But the great word of mouth made it gross rupees 1.25 crore on its second day and the total tally had become 2.o6 crore in 2 days. The next day which is also a holiday made it again show its strength at box office by grossing 1.20 crore from that day and the total gross in 3 days was 3.26 crore rupees. Then comes the next two days which was working days and from five days its total gross was 5.08 crores. That means it had grossed around 1.82 crores from that 2 working days. An Average of 90 lakhs per day and which is very good even though there is a drop in collection by almost 30 lakhs each day.

There are new releases named Life of Josootty and Kohinoor this week which also got good word of mouth from viewers. Now it will be interesting see how much difference it can bring to the collection graph of Ennu Ninte Moideen.

Pathemari is coming riding on big name

Mammootty starrer film Pathemari is all set to grace the silver screens all over very soon and as per reports it is coming next week. The flick is directed by Salim Ahamed who shot to fame after winning the National Award for his first film Adaminte Makan Abu. Later he had done a film with Mammootty in the lead named Kunjananthante Kada which also got great critical appreciation. But both those films did not do well at box office and as per reports Pathemari will have commercial elements as well aimed at box office success.

But the film have many other big names as well and we can say that it is a union of many award winners for one film. Mammootty is a 3 time national award winner as you all know. Then the director who had won national award for his first film itself. Through that film Salim Kumar also won National Award for Best Actor and he is a part of this film too. The cameraman of the film is Madhu Ambat who is also a national award winner and one of the best in India as well.

Then there is Pattanam Rasheed who has done makeup for this film and who had received national recognition as well for his craft. Music director Bijibal also recently won the national recognition. Sreenivasan also doing a key role in this flick and he also got national recognition through his films very early in his career.

Then comes the best of the lot and it is Rasool Pookutty who had won Oscar award for the sound designing and he is the sound designer of this flick. He has earlier done it in Pazhassi Raja and Kunjananthante Kada as well. Now Pathemari seems to be something which has professionally qualified hands in every aspect of the film and that itself gives high hopes about the film. Apart from that global biggie Eros International is distributing this film. Hope that Pathemari will make it big this time for Malayalam cinema.

Pathemari’s Oscar news and K Madhu in jury credibility proved !

We reported earlier about Pathemari missing a shot at this year’s Indian film to get an entry to the Academy Awards. Instead of Pathemari it was Court which got lucky at the final round to be the official entry to Oscars which was reportedly said by K Madhu. When this news was reported, many questioned its credibility as well as pointing out the fact that the other media were not celebrating it and asking whether K Madhu was a part of the Jury or not. So as a reply to all those people who questioned the news, we have a reply and that is from the director Dr. Biju who was one of the Malayali Jury who was involved in the selection Jury of Indian movies to the Oscars.

This is the 88th Academy Awards for Foreign Language Film in which Court has been selected as the official entry. The doubt of people was cleared by Dr. Biju through a photo he posted in his Facebook account today. The photo included a description along with it saying “ A photo session. Oscar selection jury members for Indian entry to 88th Academy awards for foreign language film’’.

In the photo the Jury members were seen in which K Madhu was also present along with the other Jury members. The Jury Chief of the Indian film entry was Amol Palekar and the Jury consisted of 17 members. Among these 17 member team, there were two Malayali’s along with K Madhu and they were Dr. Biju and Ramachandrababu an acclaimed Director and Cinematographer respectively.

This news about Pathemari was revealed by K Madhu, the famous director and people who remarked that K Madhu was not in the Jury and hence, Pathemari has no chance of being in the selection process. But after this photo shared by Dr. Biju everything has been proved and clarified that K Madhu was in the jury and it is proud moment for Malayalis as Pathemari which competed for the Oscar entry will reach us probably by next month at the theatres.

With this photo shared by Dr. Biju, the people are left awestruck thinking it is a real one as K Madhu was a part of it and Pathemari was there competing the selection process. The movie will be truly an eye opener as the story revolves around the life of an immigrant. The cast includes Mammootty, Sreenivasan, Jewel Mary, Joy Mathew, Salim Kumar, Balachandra Menon, Siddique and many others in prominent roles.And being there in the Oscar selection Pathemari has truly made the movie buffs expect something big at the theatres.

Kudos to Pathemari team and the craftsman behind it, Salim Ahamed.Anyway this news has struck the Malayalam film lovers who were reluctant to believe that K Madhu was in the Jury and Pathemari was in the final round of the selection process of Oscars Indian entry. Maybe it was because, there was no information about the Jury members involved for this prestigious award that people could not accept it as K Madhu was in the Jury.
