VT Balram MLA criticising Ennu Ninte Moideen
VT Balram MLA of Thrithala has come up against the movie Ennu Ninte Moideen pointing out the faults in the movie. Ennu Ninte Moideen which was released two days back has been receiving good reviews from all over that suddenly a comment like this has come from this influencing personality. He has criticised the movie with a post in his official Facebook account. In the post he has revealed that he is not going to talk about the love relationship of Moideen and Kanchana. But has confirmed that he is posting it because of the false information used in the movie Ennu Ninte Moideen. Through the post he is asking the film crew about the clarification of information about some incidents in the movie.
The MLA has also revealed that the fault is in the side of Scriptwriter and Director who have been the core of the movie who lacked the knowledge of the age. He also said that the character of Moideen who was selfless and a person who involved in the public affairs was not presented well with depth.From the post itself we understand that V T Balram has keenly watched each and every bit of Ennu Ninte Moideen. He has pointed out certain situations and dialogues from the movie. He also confirms that the political informations that is been discussed in the movie has some discrepancies with the age.
The last part of the post was about his opinion about the movie by saying there are a lot of other errors which he had found out. He also said that if a movie which is done based on a real life situation from the past it should be given that much importance and do the detailed study that is his opinion. This movie is truly a good romantic movie which has soul in it and it is one of those movies in the theatres after some time. The progress of the story and love in the movie is somewhere blocked and it has been lagging in some places too. He ended his post by crediting the actress Parvathy, Tovino Thomas and Saikumar for their commentable performance in the movie.
The movie Ennu Ninte Moideen is written and directed by R S Vimal and the cinematography was handled by Jomon T John. The Music was done by M Jayachandran and Ramesh Narayan where as background music was done by Gopi Sunder for the movie. The movie was released on September 19. Not doing film with the one who insulted Mohanlal says St. Peter’s Day director
Sabumon Abdusamad who is now feeling the heat from all corners suffered a major jolt once again after the online attack faced from the fans of Mohanlal which resulted in his hiding from social media. Sabumon Abdusamad is all set to produce a film with Asif Ali, Aju Varghese and Sunny Wayne in the lead directed by Sajan K Mathew and written by Arun Gopinath. Sabumon and Mithun Chand are co -producing the film under the banner of Sabumon’s Sab Productions. The title of the film is St.Peter’s Day.
But after the incident in which he insulted Mohanlal and his father, the director Sajan K Mathew said that he is not going to do the film for this producer named Sabumon Abdusamad who had insulted Mohanlal and his father through his Facebook comment.
Comment against Mohanlal, Sabumon Abdusamad in fans firing line
Sajan K Mathew told this in the official Facebook page of the film that he is not going to do film with Sabumon’s Sab Productions. He said that even if he has to sit without doing any film from now he is not going to do a film under the production of a person who insulted Mohanlal. Sajan said that what Sabumon said was very cheap and filthy as well.
St. Peter’s Day is touted as an action comedy fun thriller which has a star cast of Asif ali, Sunny Wayne, Aju Varghese, Joju George, Manoj K Jayan, Balu Varghese, Siddique, Leona, Srinda, Sanju Sivaram, Disney James, Sajid Yahiya, Prasanth Alexander etc. The story of the film is written by Ajil Ashokan and Philip Alexander.
Sabumon had posted a status in which he said that all dogs should be killed if it is a street dog. Then someone who is against killing all dogs posted a photo as a comment in his post and it was a photo of Mohanlal sitting with his pet dog in his house. But Sabumon’s reaction was too bad as he said that not only Mohanlal even if his father owns a dog he will kill it if it attacks him. The problem is that he just wrote it in a way in which it terribly insults Mohanlal and his late father.
Njan Samvidhanam Cheyyum, focusses on award system’s foul plays
Balachandra Menon’s film named Njan Samvidhanam Cheyyum had released and unfortunately getting bad response from all over. But that may be because of the failure in conveying the original aim of the film to the audience. While trying to make it a family entertainer along with its main theme it faltered somewhere. But in depth analysis there are some points which we have to mention about the film. It had really focused on the foul plays in the award declaring system of our state government. Maybe it was the case with the national level as well but film focusses primarily on our system in Kerala.
Balachandra Menon who himself won many awards and served many time as the jury member and main person in the award judging committee has great experience in these foul plays, corruption and politics happening in this area. This film satirically brings out how it happens or maybe we can say they tried to bring out that issue but could not convey the theme really well to the audience. But it is an aspect given by the film which has to be discussed here as it came from a man who has tons of experience in this field and was a part of this system for long.
For the past few years specially we are witnessing great controversies over the state award declarations and many decisions made by the jury in last few years were questioned by the public as well as eminent film personalities. Sometimes we wondered that how this decisions was made as it looks stupid to even the common man who has in fact no relation with this field other than being a regular viewer of the film produced in our industry. There is a lot of politics, lots of corruption and bribe and to say the least there is a lot of underplays going in this area and we are seeing only the final performance from the bunch of people who are a part of all these drama running behind the curtain.
Even though this film raised not up to the expectation of the audience but has really thrown some light on something which was hidden from us all these years. When it is done by a man of Balachandra Menon’s status we have to believe it as well.
Kamal against Mammootty, Mohanlal and Suresh Gopi ?
There is a rumor spreading in social media that veteran Director Kamal had come out against the super stars in our Malayalam film industry in a recent interview of his to a popular television channel. The news says that he was in an all-out criticism mood against the Super Star trio of Mohanlal, Mammootty and Suresh Gopi. Kamal’s last film Utopiayile Rajavu was with Mammootty in the lead which was bombed at box office. Kamal also came out against the film Premam and its director Alphons Puthran sometime back telling that the film misleading children and youngsters in our society. People like director Fazil had hit out against Kamal for this as well just after that.
According to the news spreading Kamal said that Mammootty and Mohanlal tries only to cater the needs of their fans and Suresh Gopi’s political behavior will cost him. Kamal said in that interview that Mammootty and Mohanlal wants to play characters in the age limit of 35-40 only and they says that their fans wants that. Kamal calls them the puppets in the hands of fans. About Suresh Gopi, Kamal said that his political views will definitely do harm to him more than anything good and it can really affect his career in the worst possible way.
As per the news Kamal said that when he went to Mammootty to tell a story recently the first thing he asked was about the age of his character. He says that Mammootty wants to do characters below the age 40 and he says his fans would like to see him like that. He also interfere in the script to make changes according to the needs of his fans. He wants to do films for his fans and according to their taste. Kamal says that Mohanlal too wants to play the characters less than age 40. Kamal says that if these talented actors goes like this then good films will not happen here.
Kamal said that political view is a necessary one and there is no problem in that. Actor Murali was a great example of that. But Suresh Gopi was not like that. He is changing his views according to his will each time and that will cause problems for him.

Alzheimer’s, a disease we come to know about through Thanmathra & Mohanlal
Today is World Alzheimer’s Day and all around the world there are many programs related to give awareness to people about the disease and also many researches are going on all around the world to find a permanent cure for the disease as well. But we, specially malayalees come to know more about this disease or more becime aware of this after the release of the film named Thanmathra directed by Blessy and starred by Mohanlal.
Mohanlal played the male lead who suffers with Alzheimer’s disease and through that most of us came to know about what this disease is and how it causes problems in our life and how its ends as well. Thanmathra is a very realistic portrayal of the disease and through the character named Rameshan Nair played by Mohanlal blessy actually drawn the picture of different stages through which the disease develops in the affected one.
Mohanlal’s performance was the highlight of this film as he just stunned even the experienced doctors in America as well with his subtle performance as the Alzheimer’s patient who losing his memories one by one just like leafs are falling from a free one by one without regenerating new ones. Director Blessy said that once he went to America and shown this film in front of the doctors there. They asked whether the actor who played it had any sessions with the Alzheimer’s patients before the shoot of the film to catch their behavior pattern.
But when blessy said no they were just stunned by the utmost perfection this actor gave to that character even with the minute details. Blessy was right as well as Mohanlal did not studied any Alzheimer’s patient before the shoot and he was performing as per the character sketch given to him by the director. Even blessy said that Mohanlal had given the character a level which was even beyond his dreams as he was making the character and film. But it was that performance which only Mohanlal can deliver in Indian Cinema right now gave the film a reach which is very big in here. The film had given more awareness to people about the disease than any awareness programs conducted by government or various association.
Anyway today many Alzheimer’s related organization giving awareness to people about it worldwide. We have to know some facts that there are millions affected by this disease today in our world and it usually old people who is above 60 years old. As a part of the awareness about this disease everyone was appealed to wear purple color on this day to support the cause.
Media Island in Kochi Metro Short film Festival
The second edition of the Kochi Metro Short Film Festival is coming and as a part of that an idea of Media Island has been set up for the festival. The Chairman of the film festival is none other than the legend Mohanlal himself and the Festival director is Raveendar who is popularly known as Disco Raveendran among malayali audience.

Sivakarthikeyan attacked by Kamal Haasan Fans
Sivakarthikeyan got beaten by Kamal Haasan fans at Madurai Airport
A really unfortunate incident has happened at Tamilnadu today in which actor Sivakarthikeyan got beaten up by fans of Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan at Madurai airport. When Sivakarthikeyan came out of the airport the fans of Kamal Haasan who were waiting outside the airport abused him and also beaten him. Security intervened very quickly before the situation got worse for the actor and saved him from the hands of angry fans of Kamal Haasan.
The real issue behind the incident was related to a film named Varutha Pedatha Valibar Sangham in which Sivakarthikeyan played the lead role. In that film the character played by Sivakarthikeyan tried to mock Kamal Haasan’s emotional speech which he made when the ban on Vishwaroopam was made. Kamal Haasan in his speech said that he will have to leave the state or country if he is denied his freedom to express through his films. Sivakarthikeyan’s character in the above mentioned film mocked at that speech by imitating it somewhat in a mediocre issue in the film’s story.
But the fact remains that it was the screenwriter and director of the film who is responsible for such a scene in the film more than the actor who performed it on the screen as what he has given to perform or what he had instructed to do. Anyway Sivakarthikeyan had to suffer the abuse of the angry fans who loves Kamal Haasan. There is no reaction from Sivakarthikeyan or the people who is responsible for such a scene which has come out and Kamal Haasan also has not reacted against this who usually does not approve such actions from any of his fans. Let’s wait and see what is coming next in the line regarding this incident.
Already Tamil cinema industry is moving ahead to some big troubles due to some internal issues in the organizations there. There was news that a big rift has happened between the Vishal Group and Sarath Kumar group in the Actors association there and the whole film world has divided into two groups.
