This year seems to be an year for marriage specially in South Indian film industry. We have already seen some marriages like that of actress Muktha with Rimi Tomy’s brother Rinku Tomy and also we saw the actress Saranya Mohan’s marriage. Director Alphonse Puthren also got married this year. Now a report coming in that actress Sandhya who is popular as Kadhal Sandhya will also get married this year. As per the report she will get married in this December and the bridegroom will be one of her close friend. They are in a love affair for some time and now decided to enter in a blissful marriage relationship. The news is not yet confirmed officially but more likely to happen soon as per sources from the industry.
Even though she is a Malayali she had made her debut as an actress in Tamil in a film named Kadhal and her sterling performance in the film earned her Filmfare award and Tamil Nadu State Film Award as well. She had later acted in Malayalam, Telugu and Kannada as well. She had acted in more than 10 Malayalam films and that much in other South Indian languages as well. Her first Malayalam film was Alice in Wonderland directed by Sibi Malayil starring Jayaram and Vineeth, she was the pair of Vineeth in that film. But that was not a success at box office.
She had a blockbuster hit with Jeeva in Tamil named Dishyum at that time and her first hit in Mollywood came with the film Cycle which had Vineeth Sreenivasan and Vinu Mohan in lead roles and directed by Johny Antony. She was also a part of the trendsetter film Traffic in Mollywood. But later she did not get much opportunities here and some of them she got did not became much successful as well.
In her first Telugu film named Annavaram too her performance helped her to win the Filmfare award for best supporting actress. Now she is acting more in Malayalam films and some of them are at the filming stages.
