Asif Ali starring Kohinoor’s audio launch was held today at Kochi. Celebrities from the film industry were present at the occasion including Mammootty, Kunchacko Boban, Asif Ali, Neeraj Madhav, Aparna Vinod, Sibi Malayil, Lijo Jose Pellissery, Anil Radhakrishna Menon. Lijo Jose Pellissery came up with Double Barrel this Onam season with a great star cast of Prithviraj, Arya, Sunny Wayne, Indrajith, Asif Ali etc to boast of. But the film has failed miserably at the theaters as it has got poor response from the spectators and according to many critics it is one of the worst films ever made in Mollywood. But it was not that bad for some people who loves experimental type of movies. The team behind the film had already said even before the release of the movie that it will be a film which is never been tried on Mollywood and it has to be watched like reading a comic book.
The film was a spoof type film or we can call it a gangster comedy. But people here does accepted it at all even though Lijo won some appreciation as well for his brave and unique attempt to make such a film in an industry like Malayalam using that much amount of money. When asked about this, he said that it is not about giving the audience what they expect from you but try to give entirely a different experience to them which they cannot predict. He wants to follow that path as a filmmaker. That is why he made a film like Double Barrel after he had made success with his previous film Amen.
When asked about the acceptance of people of his film or so called experiment of him, Lijo says that he has no plans to change his way of filmmaking and if it only satisfies 20 out of 100 people who watches it then he needs only that 20 people. He does not care about what the other 80 people say about the film. They may find it good after watching it again sometime later.
Lijo says that he does not want to spoon feed the audience with traditional way of filmmaking or narration of stories and there he does not find any fun and excitement as a filmmaker. So he wants to continue like how he is in his future films as well.
After selecting Mohanlal as the ALIIFF brand ambassador for Malayalam cinema, ALIIFF has selected actor Kamal Haasan as the brand ambassador for Tamil cinema. Now both the Complete actor (Mohanlal) and Universal Actor (Kamal Haasan) has become part of the prestigious and Asia’s second biggest international film festival. Earlier Telugu superstar Venkatesh was also chosen as the brand ambassador for Telugu cinema in ALIIFF. The All Lights India International Film Festival will begin on the coming month of November. It will start on November 15 and end on the 21st of the same month. As you all know it will be held at Kochi this year.

The upcoming film of universal star Mohanlal, conceived by M Padmakumar and written by Suresh Babu is all set to release on October 23rd on the auspicious time of Vijaya Dashami holidays. The teaser of the film will be released on 8th of October and the trailer will be out after a week on the 14th of October. But today the first look motion poster of the film has arrived as per Mohanlal posted yesterday night on his Facebook page. The first look poster itself says that the film has something unique in it for the viewers and we all have to wait till October 23 to know what it is.

The veteran actor Prakash Raj who is famous for his exceptional acting has joined hands towards helping people by adopting a village in Telangana. It is said that Prakash Raj has decided to adopt a village from the backward Mahabubnagar District. Mahabubnagar District is considered as one of the backward districts in Telangana receiving fund from the Backward Regions Grant Fund Programme. The village is said to be called Kondareddipalle which Prakash Raj has decided to adopt.
The actor expressed his wish by calling the Minister of Information Technology and Panchayat Raj Shri. K T Rama Rao as a beginning to this good cause. K T Rama Rao himself said in his official Facebook page that he was inspired by the words of Prakash Raj who expressed his desire to adopt a village in Telangana and he immediately suggested him to the District Collector Sridevi and Legislator Anjaiah for further processing. The pictures of the meeting were also shared by the Minister on his page.
Prakash Raj who is a distinguished actor recently started a foundation of his own named Prakash Raj Foundation and he is thinking of developing the village Kondareddipalle through this foundation by initiating new programmes achieving the goal- development. It was first superstar actor Mahesh Babu who came to the forefront expressing his wish to adopt a village in Telangana.
Mahesh Babu wished to adopt the village named Burripalem in Guntur district which was his father, veteran actor Krishna’s birth place. But after receiving a suggestion from Minister K T Rama Rao who is the son of K Chandrasekhar Rao, Chief Minister of Telangana Mahesh Babu decided to adopt a village from the backward Mahabubnagar district under the Grama Jyothi initiative. Now, it’s Prakash Raj who has expressed his side to help those in need under the Grama Jyothi initiative. The actor also conveyed that he is planning to bring agricultural importance in village using latest technology. The official reports has also confirmed that the actor will also be a part in helping the farmers and providing basic amenities in the village along with the Government.
As per sources, presently the foundation is working on their survey and when it is completed Prakash Raj will reveal his plans to take the village towards the goal of development. Prakash Raj also praised the brains behind the Grama Jyothi initiative which is actually Chief Minister of Telangana K Chandrasekhar Rao, for initiating such a programme nourishing Telangana. The actor also talked about the activities which the foundation is managing in Karnataka as well.
Hope this step from a public figure like him could make others to come forward and do something beneficial and effective for the people in the backward areas. The Grama Jyothi programme aims at empowering Grama Panchayats and the programme also welcomes people who wish to be a part by preparing village development plans, groups promoting and implementing the holistic development of the village.
