A Mother’s act for the life of her son
Mothers are always the ones who cares for their children’s life more than that of their own. This is a fact as old as the world and once again examples are coming in front our eyes and this time it is from Mollywood. Everyone now know actress Sethu Lakshmi who mesmerized us with her acting excellence through films like Left Right Left, How Old Are You etc. Her latest release was Mammootty starrer Utopiayile Rajavu. Even if the film did not do well at box office her performance was a standout one from the rest of the cast. Sethu Lakshmi has won the State award announced this year for the Best Character Actress. She was an experienced stage artist before and a four time State Award winner for Best Stage Female Artist acting in all of the popular drama groups of Kerala including KPAC and Surya Soma.
But her story is a sad one in real life. Sethu Lakshmi is acting in movies now without any rest considering her health condition in this age. All these hard work is to save her son’s life who is suffering with damaged Kidneys. Even though Sethu Lakshmi got ready to give one of her kidneys, the son is refusing it as he care for his mother’s health. Her son’s name is Kishore and he was also an actor and mimicry artist too before becoming bedridden with this kidney disease.
That is why in this age of 70 years, Sethu Lakshmi had to come to the acting field after doing so many roles in her on stage career in her prime. But Sethu Lakshmi is enjoying each moment in front of the camera as well. Apart from a source of getting enough money for her son’s treatment she is also a passionate actress as well who has spent a lot of her days as different characters in these 70 years of her life.
Her husband was Arjunan who was a makeup artist. After she got the state award for best female stage artist she got a call to act in serials and later that paved the way to the world of cinema and now cinema field is accepting Sethu Lakshmi with both hands as she is continuing the selfless mother’s act for her son’s life.

Malayali film lovers are really waiting for the entry of one man to Mollywood from the time Mammootty’s son Dulquer Salmaan made his entry to Mollywood. Yes, they are waiting for the entry of Pranav, the son of the Complete Actor of Indian Cinema, Mr. Mohanlal. Pranav who had already acted as child artist in one or two films had also won the state film award for best child artist for his debut film itself.
But according to Mohanlal Pranav had no interest as of now to become an actor. That made malayalees a bit disappointed as well. But soon their disappointment got vanished when they heard the news that Pranav had started assisting the master director Jeethu Joseph from the movie Papanasham which is the official Tamil remake of Jeethu-Mohanlal’s Mollywood epic Drishyam.Presently, Pranav has assisted Jeethu in his upcoming release Life of Josootty, the Dileep starrer which will come on this 18th to the screens.
When asked about Pranav Mohanlal, Jeethu had a lot to say about him and he said that he had great respect for Pranav for what he is. It is not because he is the son of Mohanlal but for his commitment, dedication and simplicity. That are the terms usually we associate with his father Mohanlal as well who is always known for his down to earth behavior, simplicity and unbelievable commitment and dedication to the work he is doing.
Jeethu says that Pranav has a great personality of his own and his skills are also damn too high. He want to make an identity of his own and has a clear idea about what he is doing and will work really hard to get it done. The flick Papanasham was financed by his own uncle Suresh Balaji. But still he never took that freedom or advantage on the sets of that film. Even though he can get all comforts there he stayed and mingled with the ordinary technicians worked in the film. He does not want a special mention or consideration in the name of his great father. That is his speciality and that is what we all will admire the most.
Kamal Haasan has also praised Pranav that he has enormous talent in him and he reminds the Ulaga Nayagan of himself when he see him.
Salman Khan says kissing scenes are not necessary in a film
Salman Khan the name is enough for Bollywood film lovers and we can say that he is undoubtedly the Bollywood star with biggest star value right now in the industry. Salman Khan is the only star in Bollywood who have the capability to give an all-time blockbuster or a record breaker every year in Bollywood and of course there is Aamir Khan too but his films comes once in two years or so. Other stars like Shah Rukh khan has great star value but not as consistent as Salman Khan in the box office performance. Salman Khan’s previous release Bajrangi Bhaijaan is now the 2nd highest grosser ever made in India and second only to Aamir Khan starrer PK.

Even in Bollywood if you ask one they will say that Salman khan is a man with great heart and does his best to care people. Even though there are some dark incidents happened in his life like including the hit and run case he made all his effort to patch it up doing whatever he can for the poor and needy people. Another thing for which he is famous for in Bollywood is his great support for young and upcoming actors. Actors like Arjun Kapoor, Pulkit etc had openly said that Salman is the one who really made them what they are today.
Now Salman Khan is launching a fresh face named Sooraj Pancholi through the film named Hero of which he is co-producer. Salman Khan said last day that he did told the makers that if it is not necessary for the film then there will not be any kissing scenes in that film. Salman Khan is of the opinion that kissing scene is not at all necessary for a film or for its success.
He had not done much kissing in his films till date and it is the quality of the film that matters for its success not any kissing or something like that. He also said that he will launch another hero in the coming production venture of his and that one will not be from any film family.

Shaji Kailas will do mass films again, says Renji Panicker
Renji Panicker who is known as the firebrand writer of Mollywood is also known for his great and successful associations with director Shaji Kailas and actors like Suresh Gopi and Mammootty as well. In Fact Shaji Kailas is the one who introduced Renji Panicker in Mollywood through his films. While Renji Panicker was working as a media person he had went for an interview with Shaji Kailas and his questions and ideas really impressed Shaji. From that time they had been great friends and has done a lots of film together and given a great deal of success at Box Office too.
Shaji had given great successes in his career in his association with Ranjith- Mohanlal team and Renji Panicker- Suresh Gopi team more than anyone in Mollywood. He had super success with Mammootty as well. But Shaji Kailas-Ranjith- Mohanlal and Shaji Kailas- Renji Panicker- Suresh Gopi team is loved more by people than any other mass combination here.
Shaji Kailas and Renji Panicker has done films together like Dr. Pasupathy, Thalasthanam, Ekalavyan, Commissioner, Mafia, The King, and The King and Commissioner etc. Most of them were super success at Box Office as well. Later Renji Panicker turned to director and actor as well. But after 2006, Shaji Kailas had a terrible time at the box office with a number of films failure and was bombed at box office miserably. Many had said that his career is over and there is nothing he can offer to Malayalam cinema now.
But Renji Panicker is of the opinion that Shaji Kailas still have the capability in him to give us mass films and super successes. He can give it with anybody. Renji says that from his observation and interaction with people he gets the message that even now the audience of Kerala wants a film from Shaji Kailas in his usual style of mass action thrillers like Commissioner or Narasimham. He can produce hits with Mohanlal and Suresh Gopi again.
Renji also said that most probably by next year he will write a script for Shaji Kailas which will have all the ingredients of a Shaji Kailas-Renji Panicker film. Now he is busy with his acting schedules and Shaji is also busy with his new Suresh Gopi project named Samsthanam-The State. All the best wishes for the comeback of this successful combo who gave incredible successes at the Box Office.

Jeethu Joseph unhappy with the casting in Drishyam Hindi version
Super director Jeethu Joseph is all set for the release of his next Mollywood flick after the gigantic success named Drishyam. His upcoming release film Life of Josootty will hit the screens all over on this September 18th. The flick has been financed and distributed by Eros International and Backwater Studios. It is his second outing with Dileep in the lead after the success of his previous film with this actor which was My Boss that came to us a few years back.
Jeethu’s previous Malayalam release was Drishyam in 2013 December which hit the screens becoming the greatest success that ever happened in the Malayalam film industry. The movie also introduced the 50 crore club in Mollywood and had done a total business of more than 75 crores which was unattainable to Mollywood even in its wildest dreams before the success of Drishyam.
That had made the film to go all around India and was appreciated as well. The two factors behind the success of the film was its script by Jeethu himself and the cast which had the Complete actor Mohanlal in the lead. Mohanlal as an actor and as a star brings magic on screen and this time with a perfect script he cast the magic spell of his on the audience which paved the way for the film to be the greatest hit in Mollywood.
The flick had been remade into four different Indian languages then and became successful. All versions were super success at box office including the Tamil version with Kamal Haasan which was made by Jeethu himself. But now Jeethu in a recent media interview said that he is very unhappy with the casting of Drishyam in its Hindi version which had released the last of the series. He said that he was offered to direct the Hindi version too but as he was not at all happy with the casting in Hindi he did not took that offer and continued with his next project in Mollywood.
Jeethu said that in Mollywood and Kollywood the film got the best actors from both industries to play the lead. In Kannada and Telugu too they did justice. But in Hindi it was not at all apt casting and many people who watched it felt that too.
