Ilayathalapathy Vijay as Police officer in his next

Ilayathalapathy Vijay will be seen as a police officer in his next which tentatively titled as Vijay 59 which started rolling some time back. It is directed by Atlee who has given one of the best Tamil movies of last year named Raja Rani starred Arya, Jai, Nayanthara and Nazriya Nazim. On October 1st Vijay’s film Puli will have the biggest release of his career as it is the biggest film of his career till date in its budget and in the remuneration Vijay received for the film as well. The film is said to have more visual effects used than the magnum opus Baahubali and fans are impatiently waiting for the film for so long. In fact it has been all set to release on this September but later postponed due to the above mentioned visual effects work which needed some more time to get polished.

In this Atlee film Vijay will have two heroines and they are Samantha and Amy Jackson. The film is a romantic-action thriller and Samantha will appear in the flashback scenes of the film and Amy Jackson will be seen in the present time. Apart from Samantha and Amy Jackson, actress Radhika Sarath Kumar will also be seen in a key role in this upcoming flick. Popular musician G V Prakash Kumar will tune the music for this film and the film is financed by Kalaipuli Thanu.

Vijay has done cop stories before and all of them are super hits as well. His recent one is Nesan directorial film Jilla in which he acted along with the Complete Actor of Indian Cinema, Shri.Mohanlal who played lead role in that film along with Ilayathalapathy. Vijay’s cop role in that film was accepted by the audience and the film was also a success grossing close to 100 crores at the Box Office.

Before that his cop role in the film Pokkiri was a trendsetter in South India which was even remade to Bollywood as well with Salman Khan in the lead. Anyway the shooting of this Atlee film is now going on in great pace in the locations of Chennai.

Mohanlal’s upcoming big budget flick named Pulimurugan which is helmed by director Vysakh and written by Udayakrishna is now filming in a brisk pace. The shooting now is going on at the forests of Pooyamkutty near Kothamangalam and the filming is going on with utmost secrecy. The first look of the film had arrived a month ago and it went viral at all social media platforms and when Mohanlal appeared in the SIIMA award function in Pulimurugan get up it also went viral everywhere in the medias.

There is not much details about the film is available as the team behind the film is keeping it a top secret. Still some information are coming out as well including the star cast of the film and some of the technical details. The star cast includes Tamil actor Prabhu, Kamalini Mukharjee, Mollywood actor Bala, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Vinu Mohan etc. There has been reports that Lakshmi Rai will also play a key role in the film. But the latest report coming in says that popular South Indian actor Kishore playing a very important role in this film. He plays a character with negative tone and will be one of the villains to Mohanlal in this flick. The main villain of the film is not a human. It will be a leopard and that make the plot more interesting.

Mohanlal said in a recent interview that this film will not only showcase human emotions but also animal emotions as well. The protagonist is a human and antagonist is a villain in this and that make it a special kind of film. Peter Hein who is considered as the best and most valuable stunt master in India is doing the stunt choreography of the film and the sources says that Puli Murugan will have one of the best stunt sequences ever made in Mollywood including Mohanlal’s fight with Leopards.

The film will be a complete entertainer yet will tell the story in the realistic way possible. Tomichan Mulakupadam financing this one under his banner Mulakupadam films and Shaji is the DOP of the film. Gopi Sundar composed the tunes of the film as well.

Mammootty’s Megastar 393 movie announced

Megastar Mammootty is all set to give an entry to another newcomer into the field of filmmaking with his upcoming film. Even though he is not a debutant in Mollywood, this film will mark his directorial debut. We are talking about Akhil Paul who came to Mollywood as a scriptwriter of the last year’s hit film directed by the debutant filmmaker Syamdhar and starred by Prithviraj titled 7th day. Akhil Paul is making his debut as a director through a Mammootty film and there will be another one as well along with Akhil Paul in the direction side. His name is Anas Khan. This director duo’s film with Mammootty is titled temporarily as Megastar 393 as it will be the 393rd film of Mammootty.

The screenplay of the film is written by Akhil Paul and Anas Khan and it is said to be an investigation thriller like Akhil’s first film 7th day. Mammootty is reportedly to play an investigator in this upcoming flick. The film is said to be a thrill ride which will make use of both the acting skills and star value of Mammootty. This big budget film which is expected to start the shoot this year last will come to the theaters next year Vishu. The film has great importance to action sequences as well.

Mammootty has done many investigation roles and some of them are classics in Mollywood like the character Sethuramayyar in CBI series. Perumal from film August 1 is also one of his highly popular investigation officer character. The financer of this upcoming film will be S George under the banner of Cyn-Cil Entertainments.

Mammootty is now in the sets of the film directed by A K Sajan which is also a thriller film. Then he will join the film named White directed by Uday Ananthan which is said to be a thriller as well with romantic flavor in it. This Akhil Paul film is touted as an investigation thriller. So it seems that Mammootty is coming up with some different kinds of thrillers and we hope that all will be thrilling and will be very different from one another.
