Ram Gopal Varma at the receiving end of online attack this time

Popular Bollywood director Ram Gopal Varma is at the receiving end of online attack this time that too from mollywood. The reason for this attack is now already known by everyone. The matter is that Ram Gopal Varma tweeted after watching the kollywood flick of Mani Ratnam starring Dulquer Salmaan named OK Kanmani that Dulquer Salmaan is way better than as an actor than his father Mammootty and he said that if the committees which decides awards would have seen the performance of Dulquer in this film and if they have enough sense they will surely take back all that awards from Mammootty and handover it to Dulquer Salmaan.

Ram Gopal Varma then tweeted that when it comes to acting Mammootty is just a junior artist in front of his son Dulquer and he advised Mammootty to see and learn from his son how to act realistically and naturally. He then said that Dulquer will take Malayalam cinema to non- Kerala market with success very soon and Mammootty had failed to do so over these years.

Dulquer Salmaan but given a sudden reply to this through his social media page that he can never act as perfectly as his father Mammootty does and even if he spend 10 more lifetimes to do it h can’t even come anyway near the skills of his father Mammootty. His reply was perfect in a sense that Mammootty is been in the industry for more than 30 years and won many achievements over these years. He had many a number of fans and admirers which he won through his great skill and talent of acting and has been considered as a legend, a name he got with the dedicated and committed professionalism.

Now Ram Goapl Varma is feeling the heat as the fans and admirers of Mammootty is really attacking and abusing him for the above opinions he had made about Mammootty and Dulquer. People does not seems to have liked his opinion on this and there are many debates and discussions are going on in this regard among the social media circles. Anyway Ram Gopal Varma seems to have took up another controversy to show up in news.

Mallu Arjun, that is the way malayalees call Allu Arjun as his films are so popular in mollywood as well. Allu Arjun had become one of the most liked south Indian actor in mollywood right from the very start of his career and many of the dubbed version of his films were super successes here. Allu Arjun even has fans association at various parts of Kerala and recently they had in the news for one of their most appreciable gesture of giving food to people living on streets on a Hartal day which was happened to be Allu Arjun’s Birthday as well.

Allu arjun always showed love and respect to malayalees whenever he visits Kerala and he many times admitted that he loves this God’s own country very much. He had come here many times to promote his films and this time too Allu Arjun came here at Lulu mall Kochi to Promote his new film S/O Satyamurthy.

He was very pleased to see his fans here and he said that he was really overwhelmed to see the love and affection the people here showering on him. Allu arjun said that he wants to act in Malayalam film and he will surely do it if the right story came his way. He then told that remuneration is not at all a problem in acting in mollywood films as he is ready to act even without remuneration if the right screenplay and character came across his way.

And when people and media asked about who is his most favorite actor in mollywood, Allu Arjun answered without any doubt that it is of course Mohanlal who is been the choice of almost all the artists and film personalities all around India. Adding to that he said that he respect Mammootty too as he is also a great actor in our film fraternity. Allu Arjun spoke some Malayalam to his fans and he said that next time when he comes he will definitely speak good Malayalam and it is his dream to act in Malayalam film so that he will surely learn Malayalam language. Appreciation for anything is always a good thing as it motivates and inspires an artist or a sportsperson or anyone for that matter. But sometimes that appreciation can cause a bad feeling as well if that one hurt somebody’s feeling or trust. You can appreciate someone by highlighting his ability to do something and his positive points and skills. And in some other times you can appreciate a younger one by comparing his performance to a great one in the same field just in a way saying that at some point the youngster’s performance was making us remember the great one’s performance. But comparing a young one to a great one and saying that the former one is nothing in front of the youngster is a kind of appreciation that really hurts some either the youngster or the great one to whom the younger one is compared.

That is the thing what is happened in our film industry or may be happening now here as Dulquer Salmaan’s skills as an actor is widely appreciated as he had given a great showing of his skills in his second Tamil film named OK Kanmani and the film was made by Mani Ratnam. But the problem began as Dulquer Salmaan is began to get the appreciation from different artists in the industry as many of them comparing him with his father Mammootty and they are expressing their opinion that Dulquer is far better than Mammootty.

These all was started by the master film maker Mani Ratnam as he was asked about Dulquer’s performance in the film. The director of the film Mani Ratnam said to the media who asked this question to him that Duquer Salmaan is far better than his father Mammootty in acting and very different as well. Mani Ratnam’s opinion was really serious one as he had made film with Mammootty as well. Later Ram Gopal Varma came out and said that Mammootty is just a junior artist in acting when we compare him with Dulquer’s performance and he also said that Mammootty should learn some realistic acting from Dulquer Salmaan.

But Dulquer Salman is not at all in a mood to accept all of this appreciation as he in his Facebook status told to the people that he cannot even come close to his father in acting even if he tries many lifetimes. We can wait now to see where all this goes from here.

We know Dulquer Salmaan is getting a tremendous amount of applause and appreciation from film industry as well from the common audience after the release of Mani Ratnam’s new romantic film OK Kanmani which had hit the screens world -wide on 17 th April 2015. The film had received very well by the spectators and the box office collections too showing great increase from the day one in india and also outside.

The appreciation of people like Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mani Ratnam, Suriya, Anoop Menon etc had made Dulquer’s mind full of joy as the comment by Mani Ratnam may be a become a debate topic in the social media as Mani Ratnam said that Dulquer Salmaan is better than his father Mammootty in acting. Gautham Vasudev Menon also said that Dulquer seems to be the best actor in Kollywood after watching his talent in portraying Aadhi in OK Kanmani.

But now there is another word of appreciation came to Dulquar and that too from the master director of Bollywood Mr. Ram Gopal Varma. Ram Gopal Varma tweeted after watching the film that if the award committee members have any sense of their own they will take back all awards given to Mammootty and give it to Dulquer as his performed that well in OK Kanmani. Ram Gopal Varma further said that when compared to Dulquer Salmaan, Mammootty is just a junior artist and he also said that Mammootty should learn acting from Dulquer as Mammootty is very weak in realistic acting.

Ram Gopal Varma added to these comments by saying that Dulquer Salmaan will make the malayalees proud in the non-Kerala market of the films may be just in the years to come which Mammootty cannot able to do even after trying decades in this industry.

Dulquar’s reply to this was came through his official Facebook page as well and in his stats he said that even if he tries for ten lifetimes more from here he can’t act like his father Mammootty. It has also become a topic for controversy and heated debates at social medias. Sometimes appreciation can hurt some like what is happened here.

Mani Ratnam directorial film OK Kanmani seems to have become a turning point Dulquer Salmaan’s career. He is getting great applause from all over and its been a news that Dulquer Salmaan is got appreciation from people like Gautham Vasudev Menon and Suriya after they saw his performance in the film . Now that list has one more name as Malayalam actor and writer Anoop Menon had showered great praise on Dulquer Salmaan after he saw the film from a mall of arab emirates. He in his Facebook  post said that after he saw the film he felt that Dulquar Salman is our new Rockstar.

Anoop Menon said in his status that Dulquer Salmaan has a pan south Indian appeal and a screen affability that defies the boundaries of language. Anoop Menon had great words of praise for Nithya Menon too as he said that Nithya had an effortless finesse in presenting the emotions and she seems to be the best in that.

Puli is conceiving by director Chimbu Devan and as per the budget report it is Vijay’s highest budget film till date in his career spanning close to 20 years . Grand budget of the film is estimated to be around 120 crores. Mammootty- Nayanthara starrer flick which was conceived by veteran mollywood director Siddique title Bhaskar The Rascal which hit the silver screens on the Vishu day of this year had made a great opening in its first day. According the reports from some online medias the film had grossed rupees 5.80 crore from its first days of theatrical run. We don’t even know if this was official or not but seems to be a close one to the original collections.

Yesterday a report came in some fans pages that the film has got above 7 crores in 5 days and that has spread among fans and some medias. The matter of fact tells that above 7 cr collection is not possible with the logical thinking that the film has released only around 80 theaters and working days always shows decline in collections for every big films. The film had opened to mixed reviews from medias and viewers and had made a super opening day collection which went beyond the mark of 1 crore rupees.

Later on the second day it had decreased as it was a working day and then showed an increase in the weekend days of Saturday and Sunday. As per the reports of some media the film had got a collection close to its opening day on its 5th day and it is really encouraging for the team of the film.  The final verdict of the film cannot tell now as the big opening can be a usual thing for a big film like this mammootty starrer and that too in a vacation and festival season. But the real success of the film lies in its performance in the coming weeks after the honeymoon at the box office is over.

Fans will desert theaters after the first week and then the successful moving forward of the flick will depend on the response of the family audience and the vibe getting from them. As per reports the film is getting good response from family audience to an extent and we will have to wait till the official news or report to come from which only we can make out the real status of the film in the box office.

If the coming reports are to be a believable one then the Recent reports from kollywood suggest that Master director Shankar is planning to make a film with an astonishing star cast comprising of Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan and superstar Rajinikanth on a single screen and source says that this gigantic project will be Shankar’s next one after the mega success of his last film I with Chiyaan.

The reports also says that the showman Shankar is in discussion with both the actors about the story and planning of the film and as of now both of them had said to be given positive response to Shankar’s idea. If it happens then it will be the 17th time that Rajinikanth and Kamal Hasan will be seen on the silver screen together comprises of Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam language films they had done over these years.

The flicks they had done together over these years are Apoorva Raagangal  released in (1975), Moondru Mudichu released in  (1976), Anthuleni Katha hit the screens in  (1976), Aval Appadithaan in (1978), Pathinaru Vayathinile which released in (1977),  Avargal in the same year as well (1977), Aadu Puli Atham also in the same year (1977), Ilamai Oonjal Aadukirathu which hit the screens in(1978), Thappitha Thala in the same year of (1978 Ninaithale Inikkumin that year as well (1979), ), Thayillamal Nannilai in (1979), Alavuddinum Athbutha Vilakkum in 1979, Natchatiram which made in (1980), Thillu Mullu in (1981),Agni Sakshi which hit the screens in (1982), and the last one is Geraftaar which released in (1985). And after 30 byears that they are going to share screen together if this one happens to be true.

Earlier Shankar had planned Enthiran 2 with Rajinikanth and Aamir Khan in the lead but Aamir had backed off from the project due to his busy schedule. Now we don’t know clearly that if he is planning the same with Kamal Haasan replacing Aamir Khan. Shankar had actually planned Enthiran with Kamal Haasan as male lead and Preity Zinta as female lead in 1998 and now we have to wait that if he ropes in Kamal for Enthiran 2 or not. Anyway people are really excited about this and we will see what is coming next.
