Critics can take some rest now as Maryada Raman is doing the Business
Popular actor Dileep’s Ivan Maryada Raman had opened to mixed opinion and mixed reviews from the audience. But the critics were very severe on their approach to the film and their reviews were a kind of attack on the film as well. But clearing all that barriers Ivan Maryada Raman doing its good business at box office as every Dileep film does with the support of women and children in the cinema halls.
The news came in earlier that Ivan Maryada Raman is a box office failure due to the negative publicity it had got from the critics and a section of the audience. But the people behind the film has rejected all those news and they are saying that the film is doing great business at box office and collecting crores at box office smoothly with packed houses. They are saying that the film has got a whopping 2.30 crore from 3 days as gross collection and maintaining the steady collection as well. They had announced the official collection report of the film through the official Facebook page of the film with the headline which saying that now critics can take some rest from their work as Maryada Raman is reaping crores at Box office.
The film has been conceived by a new comer named Suresh Divakar and the film is an official remake version of the super hit Telugu film of 2010 named Maryada Ramanna helmed by S S Rajamauli. The film had released in 71 centers in Kerala and outside Kerala releasing including outside India release will be in next week. But from the very first day of its release news had been spread that the film is a huge failure at box office and the negative reviews by the critics also made people believe it. But the official collection says that film is not a failure at for the first 3 days collection is concerned.
The reviews were given in such a way that it is a usual Dileep films which has nothing new in it and nothing to offer to the audience. And it looks like the targeted audience such as children and women were liking it and that may be the reason it getting good collection.
Mohanlal to act in a Sanskrit Film
Mohanlal, that name name is become a synonym for completeness, Perfection, simplicity, flexibility and what not when comes to the field of acting and he is arguably the most versatile and finest actor our Country has ever seen in its 100 years long cinema history. Mohanlal has completed 36 years in Indian film Industry and still going strong as the most valuable star and the finest actor in Mollywood in this 37 th year of his career as well. Even critics say that when comes to the field of acting and star value in mollywood there is no word next to him and that is his power and range.
Mohanlal has showed his unbelievable skill in Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi and recently in Kannada too and everywhere he got tremendous amount of appreciation and success. And now for the first time in his career Mohanlal is going to do a Sanskrit movie and that too in double role. Mohanlal had earlier done a Sanskrit drama named Karnabharam by Kavalam Narayana Panikkar and he just amazed everybody with his performance as Karna and also by the perfection with which he studies and then spoke the Sanskrit language in that drama.
Mohanlal had got honourary Doctorate from the Kalady Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit for his above mentioned beyond the world performance in Karnabhaaram. After that drama he and Kavalam Narayana Panikker had planned to do another Sankrit drama based on Kalidasan’s work Vikramorvasheeyam, but it did not happened due to some technical reasons and news coming in that it is still in the pipeline and they will do it in the coming year.
The movie which he is doing in Sanskrit is titled as Kamamohitham which is an adaptation of the famous work of C V Balakrishnan which has the same title. The Sanskrit film is directing by Harihar das and Mohanlal is reportedly playing the roles of a landlord and a sage. Mohanlal had played many dual roles in his career and this will be a special one to watch out for the film lovers as the legend is all set make all us struck with wonder for which he is quite famous for. The Malayalam version of the film will also been made along with the Sanskrit version.
Uttama Villain controversy, is it real or just a publicity trick
Kamal Haasan films always have associated with one controversy or the other and it is very usual about his films to create some sort of controversy. His upcoming film Uttama Villain is no different in this regard as well. Now Uttama Villain had landed in some sort of religious problems as Viswa Hindu Parishat( VHP) had all set to ask for the ban of the film as according to them the film will affect the religious sentiments of certain section of people in the society. It was Karthi starrer Komban which was landed in the same religious sentiments problems some weeks back. Now it’s the turn of Kamla Haasan.
The news says that in a statement given to the commissioner of police, the members of the Vishwa Hindu parishath(VHP) alleged that they have an issue with the song in the film starting as “Iraniyan Nadagam”, which according to them derides the famous conversation between Prahalad and Hiranyakashipu and may hurt religious sentiments of people who believes in it. They says that the lyrics of the song will surely disturb and upset the followers of Lord Vishnu and that is why they wants to ban the film from screening.
Before this issue came up, Uttama Villain had landed in plagiarism issue as well when the first look poster of the film had released long back as people said that the poster of the film is taken from the photograph taken by the famous French photographer Eric Lafforgue. But Kamal Haasan dismissed all that rumours saying that the poster has been inspired from the looks in ‘Theyyam’ and not from any foreigners photograph. Kamal Hasan always have problems with religious organization and we have seen that during the release of his films like Vishwaroopam and Virumandi earlier. Vishwaroopam was opposed by Muslim organizations and now it’s the turn of Hindu organizations.
Another section is having the opinion that this news and controversy are just publicity stunts. They are deliberately creating it just to attract the attention of the audience and to create hype around the film so as to get a grand opening and to reach to more and more people. This is a trick by lighting the fire of curiosity among people.

But apart from those two not so popular medias no other leading and trustable media said that alleged news and people who loves Mohanlal got very much agitated by this online fake journalism and later in another media a clarification from Saritha itself had come that Mohanlal is innocent in this matter and she don’t even had met Mohanlal till now. She said that some media using the facts in a wrong way to target Mohanlal and she is going to take legal action against those medias as well.
We don’t know which media is telling the truth. But we know onething that the medias which is publishing and spreading this news has no trustworthy and authentic proof at all to prove their allegations. As far as we are concerned we are seeing Mohanlal for the past 36 years and the love and respect everyone had for him is enormous. These fake allegations will not wash away a single bit from that love and respect for him.
Now a days it had become a trend to put Mohanlal’s name in every controversy even if he had nothing to do with it at all. Their aim was to use his unbelievable popularity or the reach his name can give to their pages. It can’t go this way and this has to end as people had already furious against these medias and one more attack like this against Mohanlal can really give way to terrible consequences for those medias.
