We have reported earlier that there was a news doing rounds in Mollywood that Soft porn actress Shakkeela will be seen in a guest role in popular actor Dileep’s next film directed by Debutant female director Sreebala K Menon. But now it is confirmed that Shakkeela is not in this film and those who were seemed to be quite excited to see her in a different role from which she was doing all these years have to be disappointed for sure.
The news also stated that Santhosh Pandit will also be there with Dileep in this film. And those who were waiting to see Santhosh Pandit in a mainstream Malayalam film can breathe a sigh of relief as he is chosen to act in this film and he will be seen as himself in the film. The shoot of the film is not yet started and it is expected to start by the last week of March or by the first week of April at Trivandrm.
The film said to dealing with a story which stitched around the world of Media and journalism and Dileep is said to be playing the role of a channel program anchor. The film also said to have a love track along with the media based story. New face named Midhila has been chosen to play the female lead opposite Dileep and she has earlier acted as the sister of the character played by Jayaram in Bhagyadevatha directed by Sathyan Anthikkad in which Sreebala k Menon worked as the associate director.
Sreebala has the experience of working with Sathyan Anthikkad for many years as an assistant director and associate director. Dileep is now working on Jeethu Joseph’s Life of Josootty and Sidharth Bharathan’s latest offering Chandrettan Evideya. He also has a vishu release all prepared to hit the screens named Ivan Maryada Raman which will be on screen on April 04 according to reports.
Anyway Shakkeela had made the headlines for sometimes without even acting in a film and she also helped the film to top the headlines for some days. Now we have to wait for some other time to see her in a mainstream Mollywood film.
A news is coming which will make the lovers of Mega star Mammootty the happiest people in this world if it is true or become true in the course of time. The news is that Mammootty will be seen in a Kollywood film directed by none other the director of magnum opus films in Indian cinema. Yes, you guessed it right, it is Shankar. The reports says that Shankar is planning to make Mahabharatha in big screen and Mammootty has been chosen to play the role of Karnna in that film. The news is not at all a confirmed one as of now as the director and the actor is tight lipped about the news.
Anyway Mammootty is doing a kollywood film this year which will be directed by Ram, who got national award for his famous film Thankameenkal last year and the director himself announced the news that his next one will be with Mammootty and they are planning to start the film within 3-4 months from now. They are planning to complete it before this year ends. Yuvansankar Raja is chosen to compose the music for this this film and apart from this, no other members of the film crew and artists not yet chosen. The title of the will also will be announced later.
Ram is now busy with a work and he will start Mammootty film after he finishes his current work. Ram entered into Kollywood through the film Katrathutamil starring Jeeva and Anjali. His second film Thankameenkal had won 3 national awards last year. And the reported Shankar film will be a big budget one as usual if it materialize. Mammootty has a number of hits in kollywood like Maunamsammatham, Anandam, Thalapathy and Kandukondein Kandukondein and it will be another success for sure if the shanker film happens. Every actor in Indian cinema wants to work with Shankar.
Shankar always gives roles to mollywood actors in his films even from the very beginning starting from Nedumudivenu in Indian to Suresh Gopi in his latest film I. Many time he tried to get Mohanlal in his films ( Mohanlal was shanker’s choice for the antagonist in Sivaji which was later played by Suman due to the unavailability of Mohanlal) choice and even Mohanlal was the first choice of Shankar in the place of Suresh Gopi in I as Suresh Gopi said it in an interview recently. Anyway if the reports come true it will be a big day for Mammootty fans and film lovers of Mollywood.

Jeethu Joseph, the most valuable director in Mollywood now, the latest super star among Mollywood directors had come out clean in the Drishyam plagiarism case which was in the courts for a while. It was Satheesh Paul, the director of the Malayalam film named Finger Print which was got released in 2005 had filed the case against Jeethu Joseph that he had created Drishyam from copying contents from the book named Oru Mazhakaalathau written by him.
But after examining all the proofs submitted before the court and analyzing it , the honorable court has declared that there was no such issues like plagiarism regarding the content of Drishyam and the court declared that Jeethu Joseph was clean and innocent in the case.
Jeethu told that he knew that he will win the case because truth was on his side and he had all the confidence in the world when he has nothing to hide and standing by the side of honesty. Jeethu also told to the media that he will file a case against Satheesh Paul for defaming him with false accusations and will demand compensation from him for doing so.
It was in last year that Satheesh Paul had filed the case against Jeethu Joseph about the copyright violation of his intellectual property. Drishyam is now the biggest ever success Malayalam cinema has ever seen in its whole history and the film has made such an impact that some section of critics says that Malayalam cinema can be studied dividing its history into two; before Drishyam and after Drishyam. It has collected more than 50 crore rupees from theaters alone and its total revenue id said to be touched 75 crore mark which is the Everest of box office collection for Mollywood now, a mark almost impossible to conquer for coming films.
The film’s huge success owe to 2 persons. One is the director and script writer Jeethu Joseph and the second one is the Complete actor of Indian cinema and the Universal star of Mollywood, Mohanlal whose unbelievable and out of the world crowd pulling capacity and star value has made this unthinkable feet possible for Mollywood. The film is already remade in Telugu and Kannada. The Tamil version will release soon and Hindi version also going to start soon according to reports.
Gautham Vasudev Menon is famous for his films which are quite intensive and also going deep into life and he conceives films in such a way that it always have a connection with real life experience of the common man. And Actor Suriya has given life to some of the best and memorable characters conceived by Gautham Menon and those ones are the characters in films like Kakka Kakka and Vaaranam Aayiram. But now the news had added a feather to it as now the news is coming in that the film which Chiyan Vikram and Gautham Menon planning to join hands will be the same Dhruva Nachitharam which was dropped earlier after Gautham Menon’s fall out with Surya.
Surya said that it was due to Gautham Menon’s delay in completing the script of the film that he had to withdraw from the project. But Gautham Menon is in no mood to accept it though. Surya and Gautham Menon had planned to do this film right after their great success Vaaranam Ayiram. Now according to reports it is the time for Vikram to grab the opportunity that Surya missed with Dhruva Nachitharam.
Vikram is now completing his work in the Vijay Milton film 10 Ennarudhukkullai which is in the final schedule of its filming and report says that it will be over by this month end. Right after completing the above mentioned project, Vikram will join Gautham Menon for Dhruva Nachitharam. Meanwhile Gautham Menon is now completing his film with Simbu in the lead.
Dulquer Salmaan is one artist who is growing rapidly as a star and an actor as well. In this summer vacation and Vishu festival season this young man has two big releases coming up in the form of 100 days of love directed by the debutant director Jenuse Muhammad who is the son of the veteran Mollywood director Kamal and the second release of Dulquer in this season happened to the biggest one in his career as it is a Tamil film named OK Kanmani conceived by the director of directors in Indian cinema, the one and only Mani Ratnam.
Jenuse Muhammad directorial 100 days of love scheduled to hit the screens on the coming week, precisely on March 20 and Mani Ratnam’s venture OK Kanmani is touted as an April 14th release. The most interesting thing regarding both these films is that the male-female lead pair in both these films happened to be the same, Dulquer salman and Nithya Menon. It will be quite interesting to see the same Jodi in two different language films, which is telling a story in the same genre of romance and which will be releasing in the same season.

It is a 1923 silent comedy film directed by Buster Keaton and starred by himself as well. The film tells the story of a character named Willie Mckay who happened to be get involved in the notorious feud between Canfield and Mckay. The film is a satire as well as a slapstick comedy.
Balagalitu Olage Baa (2002) Kannada
This film is the remake (or copycat..?) of Our Hospitality in the Kannada language directed by Dinesh Babu and starred by S Narayan. The film was got released in the year 2002.
Maryada Ramanna (2010) Telugu
Maryada Ramanna is the Telugu version of Our Hospitality released in the year 2010. The film is directed by S S Rajamouli and starred by Sunil.
Maryada Ramanna (2011) Kannada
Maryada Ramanna Kannada version directed by SS Rajamouli himself and starred by Kannada comedian Komal.
Faande Poriya Boga Kaande Re ( 2011) Bengali
This is the Bengali version of the Maryada Ramanna which mentioned above and this version is directed by Soumik Chattopadhyaya and starred by Soham Chakarabarthy. The film hit the screen in the year 2011.
Son Of Sardar (2012) Hindi
Son of Sardar is the official Bollywood remake of the Superhit Telugu film Maraya Ramanna. The Bollywood version is directed by Ashwni Dhir and starred by Ajay Devgun and Sanjay Dutt. The Bollywood version got released in the year 2012.
Vallavanukku Pullum Aayudham (2014) Tamil
Vallavanukku Pullum Aayudham is the Tamil remade version of the Maryada Ramanna and the Tamil version is conceived by Srinath and starred by N.Santhanam. The Tamil remade version hit the silver screens in 2014.
Ivan Maryada Raman (2015) Malayalam
This is the version we are talking about which came last in this series of remaking the English film Our Hospitality and it is coming out as the official remade version of its Telugu version. And the much awaited Malayalam version will hit the screen on April 04, 2015 and the film had the popular star Dileep in lead role and it was conceived by Suresh Divakar, a debutant.
