Hridayam shoot is an experience I’m going to cherish for the rest of my life: Vineeth Sreenivasan

Vineeth Sreenivasan’s much anticipated directorial ‘Hridayam’ has finally come to an end. The film’s shoot has almost been wrapped up with just one more song remaining to be shot. Starring Pranav Mohanlal and Kalyani Priyadarshan as the leads, it is a youthful entertainer set in Chennai. Though shoot was planned for over 100 days in multiple schedules, their plans got disrupted due to the pandemic. Eventually, they manage to wrap up shoot in 60 odd days.

Last day, Vineeth took to his social media handle to pen an emotional note thanking the team members. He also noted that ‘Hridyam’ shoot was an experience like never before and that he will cherish it for the rest of his life. He has written,

It’s a wrap for Hridayam.. There is one song remaining to be shot with a minimum crew. But other than that, the shoot with our full crew is over now. Throughout the course of making this film, the people I worked with stood by me with so much passion. It was not an easy film to shoot. What was charted for 100 days through multiple schedules got finished in 60 something days, which means there was so much to shoot every single day. But every day was a party. We sang, danced, laughed, worked relentlessly and kept our focus on the film. A few among us have literally paused their personal lives and given all their time and effort into this film. Yesterday at the pack up party, many of us teared up. When u spend almost a year with the people you work with, they become more than a film crew to u. I am pretty sure I ll never be able to have this kind of an experience ever again. So I am gonna cherish this for the rest of my life. This is my thank you to my dear dearest crew. Thank you for making this possible. ??
p.s. Not tagging anybody, no special mentions. This is to the entire family of Hridayam. I love u all.

Parvathy Thiruvothu to make her directorial debut with a non-Malayalam film starring pan-Indian actors

Parvathy Thiruvothu has been talking about her plans to turn a director for sometime now. The actress had been working on a couple of scripts during the lockdown days. But it seems like she has now opted for something else. Apparently, Parvathy will be making her directorial debut with a non-Malayalam film which is written by somebody else.

In a recent interview to The Cue, she revealed that though it was not her plan originally, she went ahead with it as it was too good an opportunity to refuse. She added that she is equally excited and terrified about making a film in another language. Many pan-Indian actors will also be part of the cast. As confirmed by her, the film will be beginning by the second half of this year and an official announcement is expected by June-July.

Parvathy had earlier said that she has zeroed in two subjects for her maiden directorial — one with a strong political background and the other one, a thriller that explores the psychological space between two people. Both the films demand immense research and she was working on it for quite sometime before the big offer to direct a non-Malayalam film came.
