We had reported long back about ‘Swathanthryam Ardharathriyil’ director Tinu Pappachan planning to make his second film also with Antony Varghese. After some unforeseen delays, the film is finally set to begin. It is reportedly titled as ‘Ajagajandharam’ and will also have Chemban Vinod Jose and Arjun Ashokan in major roles. Shoot is expected to begin very soon. Before that, an official announcement with full details regarding the entire cast and crew is expected to be made.

Antony Varghese is currently shooting for ‘Aanaparambile World Cup’ directed by debutant Nikhil Premraj. The actor has also committed for films with ‘Urumbukal Urangarilla’ director Jiju Ashokan and debutant Nithish Sahadev. Apart from that, he is also making his Tamil debut with the biggie ‘Thalapathy 64’, which has a plethora of stars comprising of Vijay, Vijay Sethupathi, Andrea Jeremiah, Shanthanu, Gouri Kishan and Malavika Mohanan. Antony will start shooting for his portions from December 10.

‘Driving Licence’ scripted by Sachi is being made as a complete commercial entertainer. The film has Prithviraj playing the role of a film superstar, who is passionate about luxury cars. Suraj Venjaramoodu essays the role a vehicle inspector. The story revolves around the conflict that arises between these two characters. Deepti Sati of ‘Neena’ fame and Miya George play the two female leads. Deepti will be seen as Prithviraj’s wife in the film.

Cinematographer Alex J Pulickal, composer duo Yakzan Gary Perera and Neha Nair, and editor Ratheesh Raj are part of the film’s core technical crew. It is the second production venture of Prithviraj’s banner after the science-fiction thriller ‘9’. Listin Stephen’s Magic Frames is also involved in the production.

A brilliant new poster of the much-awaited ‘Trance’ has just been released online. Featuring Nazriya Nazim, this poster gives a trippy feel and is strikingly similar to the previous one that had Fahadh Faasil in it. While there were rumours about the film’s release getting postponed to next summer, the makers have confirmed December 20 as the release date.

Directed by Anwar Rasheed, ‘Trance’ is one film that the whole of Malayalam movie lovers are eagerly waiting for. The film has been in the making for over two years and still nothing much is known regarding its genre or plot details, which adds to the curiosity. Along with Fahadh and Nazriya, the cast also includes Soubin Shahir, Chemban Vinod Jose, Vinayakan, Dileesh Pothan, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Arjun Ashokan and Sreenath Bhasi.

As reported by us earlier, Mammootty’s ‘Shylock’ has been planned as a Tamil-Malayalam bilingual. The Tamil version has been titled as ‘Kuberan’ and its first look poster is out. Mammootty and Raj Kiran feature in the poster, which gives vibes of a coloruful mass masala flick. It is directed by Ajai Vasudev, who has earlier made ‘Rajadhiraja’ and ‘Masterpiece’, both starring Mammootty.

‘Shylock’ is scripted by Bibin Mohan and Aneesh Hameed. Mammootty plays a financier’s role in the film and it is said to be a grey shaded character. Raj Kiran is making his Malayalam debut with this film. He has also penned the dialogues for the Tamil version. Meena, Bibin George, Baiju Santhosh, Siddique, Kalabhavan Shajohn, Arthana Binu, Arjun Nandakumar, Hareesh Kanaran and many others are also part of the cast.

According to the makers, ‘Shylock’ aka ‘Kuberan’ is a family-oriented mass entertainer. It is a complete package with all necessary commercial ingredients like action, humour and emotions. On the technical side, cinematography is by Renadive and music is handled by Gopi Sunder. The film is being produced by Joby George of Goodwill Entertainment.

Post-Jospeh, it has been raining projects for Joju George. The actor already has a number of promising films in his kitty and here’s one more to that list. Debutant Sajimon, a former associate of VK Prakash, Venu, Vysakh and Mahesh Narayanan, is directing this film. Along with Joju, Fahadh Faasil is playing the other lead. Interestingly, it will be their second film together as they both are also playing the leads in the upcoming Saheed Arafath directorial ‘Thankam’.

Sajimon’s film is scheduled to start rolling early next year. It is scripted by veteran Rafi, who is known for his comedy entertainers. Badhushah, a leading production controller in Malayalam film industry, is making his debut as a producer with this film. Almost all the main supporting actors in Malayalam cinema are expected to be part of this film.

After wrapping up the brief first schedule in Chennai, team ‘Thalapathy 64’ will be heading next to Delhi. Lokesh Kanagaraj, whose latest release ‘Kaithi’, is garnering extraordinary response from all over, is directing this film. A month long schedule has been planned in Delhi. There are rumours about Vijay playing a college professor who turns rogue seeking revenge.

Apart from Vijay, the film has a stellar star cast comprising of Vijay Sethupathi, Antony Varghese, Malavika Mohanan and Shanthanu Bhagyaraj. Andrea Jeremiah and ’96’ fame Gouri G Kishan are also said to be part of the film, but the makers are yet to confirm this officially.

‘Thalapathy 64’ is expected to be a completely different attempt from the usual mass entertainers that Vijay does. Vijay Sethupathi plays the antagonist in the film. On the technical side, music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander and cinematography is by Sathyan Sooryan. Xavier Britto is producing the film, which is scheduled for a summer release in 2020.

For the last few months, there have been widespread reports about Shah Rukh Khan teaming up with Tamil filmmaker Atlee. Talks got louder as both the star as well Atlee gave frequent hints about the possibility of a collaboration. It is now being reported that their new film has been titled as ‘Sanki’ and its official announcement is most likely to be made on November 2, which happens to be SRK’s birthday.

Miss Kerala the pioneering pageant plays an important role in changing the attitude of Malayali girls and their parents towards the area of fashion and modeling. Miss Kerala 2019 is going
digital this year which makes the pageant very approachable. Miss Kerala produced many stars like Ranjini Haridas, Gayathri Suresh, Deepthi Sati, Rima Kallingal, Jovita George, Prathibha
Sai, Vibitha Vijayan, Haritha Nair, Reenu Mathews, Indu Thampy to name a few. Some of the
winners excelled in their chosen fields like aviation, writing, medical field, etc.

2019 marks the 20th year of commencing Miss Kerala and the 2019th edition is going digital
with 3 phases of auditions that will include social media platforms as well. This social media
platform will give an opportunity for more contestants to be part of this prestigious pageant.
Eliminations are through various phases and the final 22 contestants will be selected.

Process

Phase 1- Digital Audition

The contestants are given tasks and asked to upload the completed tasks to their Instagram or
Tiktok accounts. These tasks are evaluated based on the style of presentation, language
proficiency, creativity, confidence, hair and makeup styling, and intelligence.

Phase 2 – #MissKeralaTop100

From phase one, 100 candidates will be shortlisted for the next phase of tasks.
These candidates will be published as #MissKeralaTop100 and we aim to create 100 young
digital stars through this. Being a digital star through Miss Kerala has endless opportunities from
becoming an actor, digital influencer, etc.
These 100 candidates will perform the next set of tasks and will upload them on social media
platforms, which will eventually be monitored for different titles.
These 100 candidates will be selected for a ground audition and among them, 22 contestants are
selected for the grand finale.

Phase 3

The selected 22 contestants will be having grooming sessions and the winner will be declared in
the Grand Finale on the last day, 12th
December 2019.

“Miss Kerala Pageant is going to be celebrated as one of its kind by having massive digital
auditions and creating a lot of digital stars. This is the very first time in the history of a beauty
pageant being digitally executed in this manner. This sets a benchmark for all other pageants
across the world”, said Hareesh Babu; CEO of Impresario.

Urban Affairs, a Digital Content Company is associating with Impresario for executing the
digital audition process. The event is powered by RED FM, Lifestyle Partner FWDLife, Venue

Renowned fashion celebrity photographer Jinson Abraham is the photography partner of Miss
Kerala 2019.

association with Urban Affairs and powered by Red FM has decided to honor trending digital
stars for their excellence in digital content creation. The presence of Hareesh Babu CEO –
Impresario Event Management Ltd, Ram C Menon Pageant Director, Kenney Jacob Digital
Consultant, Rajeev Pillai – Indian Film Actor and model, Prathibha Sai Miss Kerala 2018, added
grace on the award ceremony.

2. Abhirami Suresh was honored as the Digital Star for the content creation in her Youtube

Nimisha Sajayan is arguably the most talented female actors among this generation in Malayalam cinema. Despite doing only a handful of films, the State-award winning Nimisha has owned a space for herself in the industry. She currently has several promising projects coming up and the latest addition to that is a Mammootty starrer. We hear that Nimisha has been signed as the female lead in the megastar’s upcoming film ‘One’.

Directed by Santhosh Viswanath of ‘Chirakodinja Kinavukal’ fame, the film is shaping up as a political thriller. Mammootty plays the State’s Chief Minister in the film. It is scripted by Bobby-Sanjay and produced by Ichais Productions. Samyuktha Menon was the first option for the female lead but it is reporter that the actress had to opt due to date issues.

As ‘Bigil’ is almost done its first week of theatrical run, the box office figures are huge and has exceeded all expectations. Though critic reviews have been mixed, the massive collections prove that there are takers for the movie among the common audience. Several celebrities have also spoken highly of the movie.

Recently, filmmaker Bejoy Nambiar had tweeted about how he enjoyed watching ‘Bigil’. Nambiar, a former associate of Mani Ratnam, has made films like ‘David’, ‘Wazir’ and ‘Solo’. His tweet about ‘Bigil’ reads,

‘Bigil’ directed by Atlee is a complete mass entertainer featuring Vijay in a dual role as a gangster father and his footballer-turned-coach son. Along with the usual commercial elements, the film has a women’s football angle. Going by the initial response, it seems like the film has struck well with its target audience – the women and family audience. Trade sources inform that the film has already gone past the Rs 200 crore mark from its worldwide gross.
