Here’s the latest poster from Sunny Wayne’s French Viplavam!

Sunny Wayne is currently awaiting the release of French Viplavam, directed by debutant Maju. The movie tipped to be a fun entertainer with a period backdrop, set in the 90s, is jointly scripted by Anwar Ali, Shajeer Shah and Shajeer. Shoot for the movie was completed last month in just 22 days.

French Viplavam has Sunny Wayne in the role of a chef. He is a lazy guy working in a village resort who likes to hang around with his friends all the time. The makers released a poster last day which shows him chilling around with his friends. Sunny Wayne is sporting a new look in the movie. Since the time period is different, his costumes and looks have all been deisgned accordingly. The movie promsies to explore a different dimension of Sunny Wayne, the actor.

Chemban Vinod Jose and veteran actor Lal essay other major roles in the movie. The three actors are coming together for the first time, so it will be interesting to see their on-screen chemistry. Sasi Kallinga, Vishnu, Unnimaya, Arya and Krishna are also part of the supporting cast.

Pappinu has cranked the camera while Deepu Joseph handles the edits. Prashanth Pillai is composing music for the movie. French Viplavam is being produced by Shajeer KJ and Jaffeer KA under the banner of Abba Creations.

Leading production house, E4 Entertainment has launched a new initiative, E4 Experiment, with the aim of introducing young talents to the industry. Debutant director Prasobh Vijayan’s Lilli is the maiden movie to come out of this new banner. As informed by us, the movie’s teaser was released by actor Prithviraj through his official social media handle today.

This stylishly cut teaser gives a sneak peak of what’s in store for the audience. Lilli is touted to be a hard-hitting thriller and the teaser justifies it with some gripping moments. It is loaded with some raw and violent moments, a kind which is not generally seen in Malayalam cinema.

Earlier, the motion poster and first look poster of Lilli had garnered positive response in social medias. Despite having no big names in it, the movie has managed to grab audience attention. With this highly impressive teaser, expectations for the movie are certain to go high.

Samyuktha Menon, Dhanesh Anand, Kannan Nayar, Sajin Cherukayil and Kevin Jose are playing major roles in the movie. Lilli’s technical crew comprises of debutant cinematographer Sreeraj Raveendran, composer Sushin Shyam and last year’s State award winning editor Appu Bhattathiri.

Dulquer Salmaan and AR Rahman to release the trailer of Prabhudeva’s Mercury!

Karthik Subbaraj is unarguably one of the most talented filmmakers in Tamil cinema at present. After making path-breaking movies like Pizza, Jigarthanda and Iraivi, the director is back with yet another unique attempt. His silent film ‘Mercury’ starring Prabhudeva is gearing up to hit screens.

The movie’s trailer will be released by AR Rahman, Dulquer Salmaan, Rakshit Shetty and Nithiin today evening through their respective social media handles. The trailer was supposed to release last week but had to be pushed due to TNFPC’s strike. Earlier, South Indian stars like Rana Daggubati, Nivin Pauly, Dhanush and Rakshit Shetty had come together for the movie’s teaser release.

Mercury is a daring attempt from Karthik Subbaraj as the movie has no dialogues. A silent film is being made in Indian cinema after a long gap and naturally cinephiles are eagerly waiting for its release. Apart from Prabhudeva, the movie also stars Sanath, Indhuja, Deepak, Paramesh, Shashank Purushotham and Anish Padamanabhan.

Tirru, who won the National award last year for his work in 24, is the man behind the visuals of Mercury. Santhosh Narayanan, a regular in Karthik’s films, has composed the musicl and Vivek Harshan is editing the movie. The movie is slated for release on April 13, but it is still uncertain if the film would release in Tamil Nadu due to the ongoing strike.

Actor Madhavan’s son Vedaant Madhavan has won his first International medal for India. He bagged a Bronze medal at Thailand Age Group Swimming Championships 2018 in the 15000m freestyle race. The news was broke by an elated Madhavan through his official social media handle.

Madhavan shared a photo of his son winning the medal in his Instagram account and wrote,

“Proud moment for Sarita and I as Vedaant wins his first medal for India in an international swim meet in Thailand today. Thank you for all your blessings.”

Celebrities like Kushboo, Sarath Kumar, DD, Sonu Sood congratulated Vedaant and the proud parents on the success. On the work front, Madhavan is currently basking in the huge success of his crime thriller web series Breathe. The first season which was released at Amazon Prime Video won rave reviews from the viewers. Madhavan’s stellar performance in a grey shaded role has been getting appreciation from all corners.

After a brief rehabilitation session following a surgery, the actor is now getting ready for the bipic of scientist Nambi Narayanan. Bollywood filmmaker Anant Mahadevan will be directing this movie, which is being planned as a trilingual in Tamil, Hindi and Telugu languages.

Nine aka 9: Prithviraj’s sci-fi thriller starts rolling!

As informed by us last day, shoot for Prithviraj’s science-fiction thriller titled ‘9’ aka ‘Nine’ commenced today. Ace filmmaker Kamal’s son Jenuse Mohamed is directing this movie. Prithrvaj’s newly launched production house Prithviraj Productions is funding the movie jointly with Sony Pictures International Productions. The team had a customary switch on ceremony which was attended by director Kamal, Prithviraj, his mother Mallika Sukumaran, his wife Supriya, Indrajith and other crew members.

Nine is Jenuse Mohamed’s second film after he made an impressive debut with the Dulquer Salmaan starrer ‘100 Days of Love’. This upcoming movie is an ambitious sci-fi flick, probably the first of its kind in Malayalam cinema. If reports are to be believed, Prithviraj plays a scientist in this movie, the story of which happens over nine days. Nithya Menen and Parvathy are being considered for the two female leads but an official word has not yet been given. More details regarding the other cast members are expected to be made very soon.

The technical crew includes cinematographer Abhinandan Ramanujam, well known for his works in films like ‘Amen’ and ‘Mosayile Kuthirameenukal’, and editor Shameer Muhammed. Shaan Rahman will be composing the songs and ‘Da Thadiya’ fame Sekhar Menon has been signed to compose the original music score.

The YSR biopic ‘Yatra’ starring Malayalam superstar Mammootty is the latest talk in social medias. The makers had released the first look poster last day which is still trending virally. Mahi Raghav, who has made hit movies like Paathshala and Anando Brahma is directing this movie.

In a recent interview, the director was all praise of Mammootty and his dedication towards the craft. He also revealed about why he decided to cast Mammootty as YSR. Apparently, the director was mighty impressed with Mammootty’s performance in a particular scene in the movie Thalapathi. He feels that the actor has the same aura, charisma and a larger than life image that YSR had.

YS Rajasekhara Reddy, popularly known as YSR, is one of the most popular politicians that Andhra Pradesh has ever seen. YSR died in an air crash in 2009 when the helicopter carrying him crashed in a dense forest. He was so hugely popular that hundreds of his followers committed suicide upon hearing his unfortunate demise. Yatra will showcase some of the important aspects of his life and his political journey.

Interestingly, when Mahi Raghav and his team came down to Kerala for a narration, they had prepared for a briefing in English but Mammootty insisted for a full length narration in authentic Telugu which lasted for around eight hours. The director says he was bowled over by such dedication and passion from someone who has done over 350 films and is a multiple National award winner.

Yatra is an event-based film which primarily focuses on the time during YSR’s three-month-long padayatra in 2003. The padayatra was a defining moment in his career which transformed him into a people’s leader. While Mammootty has been confirmed for YSR’s role, the makers are yet to make an announcement about the actors who will be playing the other crucial roles.

Vijay Chilla and Shashi Devi are producing the movie under the banner of 70MM Entertainments.

The much talked about Kammara Sambhavam is gearing up to hit screens on April 14. Murali Gopy has scripted this movie which marks the directorial debut of ad filmmaker Rathish Ambat. It is an epic film set in three different timelines. Dileep and popular South Indian actor Siddharth play the lead roles in the movie which focuses on historical accounts and how it is depicted by the ones who wrote it.

For the last few days, the makers have been releasing character posters from the movie. Veteran actor Siddique’s was the latest to come out and it has got an interesting element. Apparently, Siddique will be seen as Dileep’s son in the movie. The latter appears in multiple looks in the movie including a 90-year-old.

Presumably, Dileep’s character Kammaran is a follower of Netaji Subash Chandra Bose and as a mark of respect for the leader, he names his son Bose Kammaran. Siddique plays this role in the movie. Namitha Pramod, Murali Gopy, Bobby Simha, Shweta Menon, Indrans and Vijayaraghavan are also part of the supporting cast.

Kammara Sambhavam will be hitting screens this Saturday amidst tremendous hype. The movie is expected to take a massive opening at the Kerala box office as summer holidays have already started. Gokulam Gopalan is producing this big budget movie under the banner of Sree Gokulam Movies.

Tovino Thomas has a string of films coming up this year. Debutant Vishnu Narayan’s Maradona is one among them. A new poster of the movie was released last day in social medias. Along with that the makers also informed that the movie will be hitting screens in May.
Director Vishnu Narayan is a former associate of Dileesh Pothan, Aashiq Abu and Sameer Thahir. Last day, the poster was first shared through Aashiq Abu’s social media handle.

Maradona is scripted by Krishnamoorthy, who has previously assisted Lijo Jose Pellissery and Dileesh Pothan. The movie also stars ‘Angamaly Diaries’ actors Kichu Tellus and Tito Wilson in major roles. Chemban Vinod Jose is another actor who will be seen in a vital character in the movie.

Newbie Sharanya R Nair is playing the female lead opposite Tovino. Leona Lishoy, Niranjan, Jins Bhaskar and Nishthar Ahamed are also part of the supporting cast. Debutant Deepak D Menon is the cinematographer and ‘Ezra’ fame Sushin Shyam is handling the music department. Saiju Sreedharan, who did the cuts for Mayaanadhi is editing this upcoming movie as well.

Maradona is being produced by S Vinod Kumar under the banner of Mini Studio.

As we already know, director Arun Gopy, who made an highly impressive debut with ‘Ramaleela’ is teaming up with Pranav Mohanlal for his next. Tomichan Mulakupadam is producing the movie under his banner Mulakupadam Films. This upcoming movie is said to be a romantic-action entertainer.

Expectations are high among the audience since both Arun Gopy and Pranav have started off their careers with blockbuster hits. Arun Gopy who has been close with Pranav since his days as an assistant director understands the youngster completely. In a recent interview, he opened up about how Pranav prefers to do relatable characters and how his line of thinking is different from others.

Arun Gopy is quoted saying, “Pranav prefers to do characters that he can relate to. That’s why the roles he chooses are more or less an extension of himself. For him, acting is reacting and behaving. He doesn’t want to do over-the-top sequences and likes subtle acting.”

Pre-production works including location scouting and casting process is still progressing. The makers are on the look for a girl from the age group of 18-24 to play Pranav’s pair in the movie. The first round of auditions was held in Dubai last month and a second round is scheduled to be held in Kochi on April 21.

Official announcement of the movie’s title and details regarding the full cast and crew is expected to be made very soon. It is reported that the movie will start rolling in Kochi by July. Apparently, the makers are planning to wrap up the shoot by November to ensure a grand release for this year’s Christmas season.

Swathanthryam Ardharathriyil has successfully entered its second week of theatrical run and is still going strong at the box office. Releasing on March 31, the movie opened to great response from the audience, which includes both critics and the commoners. Tinu Pappachan, a former associate of Lijo Jose Pellissery has directed this movie.

Actor Sunny Wayne recently watched the movie and seems like he was impressed by it. He took to his social media handle to appreciate the team with a note which reads,

Swathanthryam Ardharathriyil scripted by newcomer Dileep Kurian is a prison-break thriller, perhaps the first of its kind in Malayalam cinema. Tinu Pappachan’s stylish making backed with good performances from the lead actors have worked well with the audience, especially the youth. It is an edge-of-the-seat thriller with high dose of action and gripping moments.

Vinayakan, Chemban Vinod Jose, Rajesh Sharma, Lijo Jose Pellissery, Tito Wilson, few actors from Angamaly Diaries and a bunch of newcomers are part of the supporting cast. Girish Gangadharan is the cinematographer and editing is done by Shameer Muhammed. Jakes Bejoy has composed the songs while background score is handled by Deepak Alexander.

Swathanthryam Ardharathriyil is produced by BC Joshi and is presented by director B Unnikrishnan. Lijo Jose Pellissery and Chemban Vinod Jose are also part of the team as co-producers.
