The sequel in the Baahubali series, Baahubali 2: The Conclusion is the latest talk of the nation. The Baahubali storm continues to sweep the box office worldwide while closing in on the 1500 crore mark.

While the movie continues to bring more glory to Indian cinema, rumour mills are working over time to spread news about actors who ignored the offer to work in the Baahubali series. After Hrithik Roshan, John Abraham and Nayanthara, the latest reports were about superstar Mohanlal turning down SS Rajamouli’s offer to play the pivotal part of Kattappa.

For the last few days, social medias were flooded with such reports. Apparently, these news are completely baseless sprouting out of someone’s wild imagination. SS Rajamouli had finalised his lead actors, except for the part of Sivagami, during the scripting itself.

For playing the role of Sivagami, the director had approached yesteryear actress Sridevi but she was could not afford dates as she was working on Vijay’s fantasy movie Puli during that time.

It is already known that superstar Rajinikanth’s next after Shankar’s sci-fi thriller 2.0, will be with Kabali director Pa Ranjith. The superstar’s son-in-law and actor Dhanush will be producing this movie under his banner Wunderbar Films.

The movie is all set to go on floors on May 28. The art department has erected a massive set in Chennai, that resembles the slums and various other areas of Mumbai. Pete Draper, the VFX technician who was worked in movies like Life Of Pi and the Baahubali franchise is handling the VFX works in the Rajinikanth movie. His team will be arriving soon to start works for this big budget film.

This upcoming movie, tentatively titled as Rajinikanth 161, is majorly set in Chennai and Mumbai. After completing the first schedule in Chennai, they will be travelling to the North to shoot the remaining portions.

Apart from Rajinikanth, none of the cast have yet been finalized. There are reports that Bollywood actress Vidya Balan has been approached to play the female lead but she is yet to sign the dotted lines. Santhosh Narayanan, who also handled the music department in Kabali, is the composer for this movie. More details regarding the movie will be updated soon.

The new collection reports dropping in proves that the mighty Baahubali 2 has entered the 50 crore club in Mollywood. The heavy rush continues in the 320 theaters released right from it’s first day. It was reported to have made a record 5.90 crores gross on it’s initial day.

The movie on completion of it’s 10 day run had made a collection of 44 crores in the state. It had entered the 50 crore club after it’s 14th day at the Box office. The exact collection report from Kerala is expected to be Rs. 52.5 crores at the moment and this is the first time a non-malayalam movie achieves such a record.

Baahubali 2 The Conclusion released simultaneously in four languages namely Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam had combined box office numbers on the initial day from all the four languages is estimated to be above 100 crores. The flick is reported to have grossed around 400 crores in Bollywood alone.

Baahubali 2: The Conclusion had already been crowned a position at the 1000 crore club. This SS Rajamouli directorial at present is the highest grossing Indian movie collecting more than 1300 crores from the worldwide box office.

The second part had attained an approximate collection of 1350 crores from it’s 18 day run at the worldwide Box office. The prequel released back in 2015 had gained a final collection of 650 crores from the worldwide Box office. And therefore when we sum up the collection report of the Baahubali series, it has grossed an exact 2000 crores!

Baahubali 2 has now topped as the highest grossing Indian movie ever after it went past PK’s all time collections of Rs 792 within 10 days of it’s Box office run. Trade sources state that the flick is likely cross the 1500 crore mark very soon.

The second part comprises of Prabhas, Anushka Shetty, Rana Daggubati, Sathyaraj, Nasser, Remya Krishnan, Tamannaah, Subbaraju, etc. MM Keeravaani and KK Senthil Kumar was the music composer and the cinematographer respectively for both the movies. Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni had funded both the parts for a gigantic amount.

Nivin Pauly marks his first straight entry to Tamil cinema through Richie directed by debutant Gautham Ramachandran. Richie, a Tamil noir action thriller is the official remake of superhit Kannada movie, Ulidavaru Kandanthe.

The teaser released earlier has put in huge hype amongst Nivin lovers. He is seen in the look of a goon resembling the Premam getup. The teaser had attained 3 million views in a record 22 hours at first and made it 4 million on the completion of it’s first day.

The teaser has completed 10 million views on the completion of it’s 15th day. The teaser focussing on Nivin’s mass had gained enough initial response from the viewers. Lately Thala Ajith had set a new record in Tamil with his Vivegam teaser which had crossed 10 million views in 68 hours.

The investigative action thriller is set against the coastal area of the state. Natty, Prakash Raj, Shraddha Srinath, Lakshmi Priyaa Chandramouly and Elango Kumaravel play vital roles in the flick.

The much awaited teaser for Thala Ajith’s next Vivegam had finally been released days back. The actor is seen in a terrific make over for the flick shedding down a few kilos.

The teaser which is top trending on YouTube is now causing severe damage to other flicks. The teaser released on the 10th of May has clocked 10 million views in just 68 hours. Earlier Rajinikanth’s gangster movie Kabali held the record for having crossed 10 million views in 72 hours.

The first look poster that had come out earlier had surprised many as Ajith was seen showing away his six packs with his acclaimed salt and pepper hair style. It is reported that the actor will be seen playing an FBI agent in this film.

This is the third time both Ajith and director Siruthai Siva are seen teaming up after Veeram and Vedhalam. Kajal Agarwal plays the lead heroine in this spy thriller. Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi and Kamal Haasan’s younger daughter Akshara Haasan will be also portraying important roles.

Geetu Mohandas’s Moothon kicked started soon after Nivin Pauly had completed shoot for Althaf Salim’s Njandukalude Naatil Oridavela. The first schedule was said to be shot in Bombay and it had winded up hours ago.

An excited Nivin Pauly announced through Facebook: “Bombay chapter wrap up!! MOOTHON will now travel to Lakshadweep!! Excited and Overwhelmed, can’t wait for this to play on the big screen #Moothon”

Nivin had earlier learned acting lessons from the well-known Atul Moria for the flick. The film which is unique in it’s own kind comprises reality and magical realism. The principal shooting is yet to begin at the Lakshadweep islands.

The bilingual movie penned by Geetu herself is likely to hit screens by the year-end. Her husband and acclaimed film maker Rajeev Ravi cranks the camera. Anurag Kashyap of Bombay Velvet fame marks his entry to our industry as a screenplay writer. The movie is bankrolled by Aanand L Rai under the banner Colour Yellow Productions.

Fahadh Faasil is right now on the better side after the grand success of his recent Take Off. Fahadh had portrayed Indian Ambassador Manoj Abraham in the flick which is based on a real life rescue mission where a group of nurses were saved from Iraq. The actor had given a mesmerizing performance in the movie though he was spotted for a brief time.

He is currently doing a Kollywood flick for National award winner Thiagarajan Kumararaja. The film which is said an anthology of five short films. Vijay Sethupathy stars in one while actress Nadia Moidu plays the lead in another. Fahadh Faasil is seen paired up with Samantha Ruth Prabhu for another segment.

The director Thiagarajan Kumararaja had opened his mind to a national daily describing Fahadh’s attitude. He said “It was excellent working with the talented Fahadh Faasil. I had enjoyed the 20 day shoot schedule with him. If I reveal Fahadh’s character at the moment then there is no fun literally!”

Fahadh was also roped in for another Kollywood flick. The movie titled Velaikkaran is directed by Thani Oruvan’s creator Mohan Raja. Reports state that Fahadh plays opposite Sivakarthikeyan in the movie.

Indian cinema’s current throb Baahubali 2 has taken the worldwide box office by a tremendous storm. It had demolished all existing collection records for any Indian movie and had become the first ever Indian movie to go past the 1000 crore mark.

The movie reportedly has emerged as industry hits in most of the Indian languages. Surprisingly, it had even gone ahead of the Aamir Khan starrer Dangal in Bollywood. It has caused severe threats for actors in various industries. Apart from the top grossing movie it has also roped in other records from those industries.

The top talk in the Mollywood industry now is that will Amarendra Baahubali’s men chain the mighty Pulimurugan. The movie as of now stands second in our industry after Pulimurugan which had attained a gross of Rs. 89 crores in Kerala only. Baahubali 2 had achieved Rs. 50 crores in the industry days back and emerged as the second fastest to reach so.

All eyes turn to the collection reports in Kerala at the moment, Baahubali 2 in figures is 30+ crores short to the Mohanlal starrer Pulimurugan. Audience strongly believe that the Baahubali run will gradually slow it’s pace in the coming days thereby not shattering Murugan’s all time record. What next is not easily predictable in the current scenario; all that we’ve got to do is wait and watch!

SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2 is steadily conquering all existing records in the Indian film industry. The movie released on the 28th of April has not yet lost it’s initial rush in theaters all over.

It had earlier embarked it’s name as the first Indian movie to hit 1000 crores globally and had registered as a top grosser in eleven days pushing away Rajinikanth’s Kabaali in Tamil Nadu and becoming the second fastest 50 crore flick in Mollywood.

Earlier it was widely discussed on social medias on another sequel to the biggie. The crew members especially the director had given loose hints and clues but not on a firm stand. Soon after the release of the second part SS Rajamouli had said that the franchise was over.

Due to the amazing response of the second part and forsaking the audience’s plead there are unconfirmed news that the team is in thoughts of another sequel. Some say that K V Vijayendra Prasad who had penned both the parts is likely to begin scripting for the third.

It was also reported that Bollywood director Karan Johar and the producer Shobu Yarlagadda had confronted Rajamouli and had expressed their willingness to bankroll the third part. Anyways an official confirmation regarding the same is awaited from the crew.
