Mammootty’s stylish action thriller movie Big B celebrates it’s 10th anniversary today. The movie marked Amal Neerad’s directorial debut. On this occasion, the Megastar’s son comes up with an emotional note for his all time favorite movie.

Today makes 10 years of the release of Big B! For me one of the greatest cult classics of Malayalam cinema and of my top 5 favourite roles enacted by my father. The movie gifted Malayalam cinema some of the greatest talent in its transition to the kind of cinema made today. At the helm of that film was Amal Neerad. One of our finest film makers and cinematographers. It’s my great privilege to be a part of his film Comrade in America at this exact juncture. Lots of love to you Amal Neerad. Amazing how life works. From being a fan of that film and of this man, to being directed by him. As always I’m blessed and grateful for being my fathers son and equally for the love and encouragement you the audience have always given me” he posted on his official Facebook handle.

Earlier the director Amal Neerad too had mentioned the effort the crew had taken in for doing Big B. It reads “Big B was not just a film for us, it was our livelyhood. We had thought it was our last voyage in the Noah’s Ark, but then Mammukka came in as a hero and helped us to succeed in life. He was the real backbone in our movie. We would also love to thank our friends and critics for pointing out the good and bad in all our flicks

Big B was a more than expected gift that Mammootty had presented to his innumerable fans. The crew had used their maximum to show out the mass and swag that the actor had in. After making a gigantic collection at the box office, the movie was also top trending on torrent. Even now Bilal John is fan favorite and loved by all.
