Pack up for Baahubali 2

According to sources from the Tollywood industry, shoot for director SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus Baahubali 2 : The Conclusion will be completed on December 27.

The movie is the sequel to Baahubali : The Beginning released last year. The first part was a nationwide blockbuster becoming the country’s highest grossing movie.

Post production works for the movie is simultaneously under progress. Lots of visual effects and CG works are being used and according to sources, the new movie will have more CG and VFX than the first part.

Expectations are sky-high for the new movie also. Cine watching audience across the country are waiting to see the kingdom of Mahishmati again and to find out how things unfold regarding the many unanswered questions from the first part.

The makers released an official poster of Bhallala Deva’s character today, as part of Rana Daggubati’s birthday. Earlier a poster for the character of Amarendra Bahubali was released on Prabhas’ birthday.

The movie is produced by Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni under the banner Arka Works. The makers have announced that the movie will be a summer release in April next year.

‘Baahubali 2’ The Conclusion release date extended for 14 days and now the film will release on 28th April 2017. And the film’s trailer to be released in January.

Mohanlal’s latest release Pulimurugan has turned out into an all time blockbuster doing a business of over 150 crores. The Telugu version of the movie titled as Manyam Puli was released on December 2 to great response from the audience.

To say the least, the movie has surprised the trade experts and emerged a super hit in the Telugu speaking states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Reportedly, the dubbing rights of the movie was sold for an amount of rupees 1 crores. But the action adventure directed by Vysakh has already amassed about Rs 2.50 Cr share in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

When the satellite rights of the movie are also considered, the Telugu buyers have reaped a profit of over Rs 2 Cr profit from this Mohanlal starrer.

Manyam Puli released amidst high expectations after the massive success of Mohanlal’s last Telugu movie, Janatha Garage. The movie was released in around 350 theatres in the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Telugu medias reported that the movie got a great opening in the box office.

After the success of Manyam Puli, Mohanlal’s another superhit movie Oppam will also have a Telugu release. The movie titled as Kanupapa will hit the screens on December 30.

Dulquer Salmaan is currently shooting for Amal Neerad’s yet to be titled movie abroad. The second schedule of the movie started in November in Mexico. Now the team will be moving down to Latin American countries for canning some important portions. Apparently, this will be the first time a Malayalam movie is being shot in Latin America.

The movie has been in the making for sometime now. First schedule of the movie happened in Kottayam and surrounding areas. That was completed by September. But the abroad schedule got postponed due to Visa problems.

Looks like this movie has got loads of surprise in store for us. During the initial shoot days in Kottayam, Dulquer was seen riding an Yezdi wearing the local attire, mundu. Even the first look posters released for his birthday had him in a rustic look. So it was expected that the movie will be a entertainer set in the Kottayam area. This was considered a refreshing change beacuse most of Dulquer Salmaan’s and Amal Neerad’s movies are set in the urban milieu.

Now we hear that major portions of the movie are set in the US and other nearby countries. The team is planning to shoot a lot of the portions in a few states in the US apart from Texas. After that they will be moving down south. Dulquer Salmaan, Jinu Joseph, Karthika, John Vijay and many other international artists are also part of this schedule. According to the director, the major plot of the movie very much evolves from this part of the world.

Action Hero Biju fame Anu Emmanuel was initially roped in to play the female lead. She even shot for a few scenes but was later replaced by newcomer Karthika Muraleedharan.

Amal Neerad is producing this movie under his banner Amal Neerad Productions.

Dulquer Salmaan has won hearts of the audience in Kerala with his memorable performance and dazzling looks. The actor enjoys a huge fan base especially among the girls.

Many of his characters like Adhi in OK Kanmani, Faizi in Usthad Hotel and Aju in Bangalore Days became largely popular and soon Dulquer became one of the most desirable actors in the South.

Rumours are doing the rounds that Ilayathalapathy Vijay will be playing a dual role in his upcoming movie Bairavaa slated to release for Pongal next year.

According to these reports, one of the characters in the movie would be city based whereas the other one would be from a rural background who speaks in a local Tirunelveli local slang.

But according to trustworthy sources close to the production team, there is no truth in these reports. They have dismissed it as just baselss rumours.

Bairavaa is directed by Azhagiya Tamizh Magan fame Bharathan. The movie stars Keerthy Suresh playing the female lead for the first time opposite Vijay.

Tollywood actor Jagapathi Babu, Daniel Balaji, Satish, Papri Ghosh, Rajendran, Mime Gopi, Harish Uthaman, Sharath Lohitashwa and many other actors in supporting roles.

Recently we had reported that Pranav Mohanlal is learning Parkour for the movie. Jeethu Joseph had said that Pranav’s debut movie will be a action thriller. So the star kid is striving hard to play the part perfectly.

It was Mohanlal who revealed this information in a recent interview. When asked whether there is pressure on Pranav Mohanlal because he’s a superstar’s son, Mohanlal said, “there might be, but I don’t pressurise him more by asking him about it.

He cannot act well just beacuse he is Mohanlal’s son. He should be able to prove it himself. When I was his age, I had already done Rajavinte Makan. He is just starting now”.

Pranav Mohanlal has earlier acted as a child artist in the movie Punarjani. He also won the Kerala State Award for Best Child Artist for his performance in the movie.

He has worked as a an assistant director with Jeethu Joseph in movies like Life of Josutty and Papanasam before deciding to make his debut as a lead hero.

Popular singer Vaikom Vijayalakshmi’s engagement with Santhosh was held in Vijayalakshmi’s home in Vaikom yesterday. Sathosh is also a musician hailing from Puthiyangadi. The marriage is fixed for March 29 next year.

The talented singer’s mother has said that the marriage was fixed after a matrimonial advertisement given in news papers. She added that the marriage is finally happening after lot of prayers.

Vaikom Vijayalakshmi did not let her blindness affect her music. She first stormed into the playback singing arena with the song “Kaate Kaate” from director Kamal’s Celluloid. The song won her a Special Jury Mention in the Kerala State Award for the year 2012.

The 21st IFFK commenced on December 9th in Thiruvananthapuram. Last day during the screening of the Egyptian movie Clash, six delegates were taken into police custody for not standing when the national anthem was played before the movie started.

Actor/filmmaker Joy Mathew shared his thoughts about the incident in an interview. He said, there can be many opinions about the Supreme Court’s directive to play the national anthem before every screening in the Festival but no one should disrespect the national anthem.

Those who are against this new development should fight the case legally before the court.

National anthem is a result of sweat and blood of many people and it should not be dishonoured by anyone. Such people should not receive any privileges of the government. They should not attend the Film Festival at free of cost.

If police has arrested them, they should get a bail and fight the case legally. There is no point in disrespecting the national anthem. I don’t see any revolution in that.

It depends on the political beliefs of each person. But according to me, even if one is against the national anthem being played at every screening, he/she should not show any kind of disrespect. Such issues should be faced only legally.

The arrest of the six delegates including a woman has created a huge uproar among the audience. A film society based in Kerala approached the Supreme Court seeking exemption for the ongoing IFFK.

They cited the sheer number of films being screened at the IFFK and said that it would cause inconvenience to the 1500 odd foreign guests attending the event. However the court dismissed the plea.
