A love letter written in blood for Kalidas Jayaram

Many people around the world have a general tendency to do crazy acts in the name of showing their love for their matinee idol. Even today, fans write letters in blood for their stars, claiming that it is a way of showing their love and admiration for their idols.

One such disturbing incident has happened recently in Kerala. A girl from the state has written a letter to Kalidas Jayaram with her blood. The letter is now doing the rounds in social media pages.

Kalidas Jayaram has shared a post in his official Facebook page, asking fans to stop such things. He asked fans to show their love only by watching his movies from theatres.

The post reads, “Woke up to this very disturbing picture of a girl who wrote my name in blood…please don’t do this … if you are trying to make me happy then please watch my movies in theatre s …that’s more than enough… otherwise things like this is only going to make me sad …so I beg of those who do things like this to please stop..”

Many leading actors like Shah Rukh Khan, Rajinikanth, Kamal Hassan, Vijay and Ajith have often asked their fans not to attempt such actions in the name of fandom.

Kalidas Jayaram is yet to make his debut as a lead actor in Mollywood. His debut movie Poomaram directed by Abrid Shine will be releasing next year. The song “Njaanum Njanumentalum” from this movie has been trending ever since its release. Kalidas’ entry to the industry is much awaited by the Malayali audience.

Telugu version of Pulimurugan, Manyam Puli is gearing up for a grand release on Decemeber 2nd. The movie will be releasing in 350 theatres in Andhra Pradesh and Telengana states.

Manyam Puli is getting a massive release just like any other Telugu superstar’s movie. Their success of Mohanlal’s recent Telugu movies Manamantha and Janatha Garage has raised the expectation levels for the movie. The actor himself has dubbed for the Telugu version also.

Director Vysakh will be in Hyderabad for the release day. Celebrations have already been planned prior to the release itself.

Thoppil Joppan teaser had got 450K Updated views and near 6OOK estimated views in 24 hour time, whereas Jomonte Suvisheshangal teaser had got more than 550K updated views and 650K estimated views in 24 hour time.

The Malayalam teaser of Mohanlal starrer Telugu film named Janata Garage had crossed 10 lakhs mark in 69 hour time as well months before. The record for the fastest 1 Million crossing Malayalam movie trailer is also in the name of Dulquer Salmaan, as his movie named Kali’s trailer had crossed 1 million views in YouTube in just 50 hour time.

We had earlier reported that Gautham Menon would be pairing up with Chiyaan Vikram for a new movie.

Now it is reported that both of them will be teaming up for Dhruva Natchathiram, the film, which was supposed to be done with Suriya a few years back. Parthiban, Simran and many other prominent actors were said to be part of that project. Even a Pooja was held for the movie, but unfortunately it was dropped before going on floors.

Now according to latest developments Gautham Menon will be reworking on the script with Vikram’s image in the mind.

Earlier there were speculations that Suriya himself will be doing the project. After that it was rumoured that Jayam Ravi is roped in for the part. But nothing was confirmed by the filmmaker.

Gautham Menon has also a narrated a script to Nivin Pauly, which is supposed to be a romantic entertainer. He has also approached Nivin for remaking the Telugu blockbuster Pelli Choopulu in Tamil under his banner. The director had recently bought the Tamil remake rights of the movie.

A R Rahman was initially supposed to compose music for Dhruva Natchathiram, but unfortunately, the project got dropped at that time.

After the success of Gautham Menon – A.R Rahman combo’s latest outing Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada, it is said that the Oscar winning composer will be working on this project also.

Gautham Menon in many interviews has earlier told that Dhruva Natchatiram is a spy thriller set in an investigative backdrop.

We will have to wait for an official announcement to confirm whether this project is the revival of Dhruva Natchathiram or a new project with a different theme.

Now, South India’s two of the most popular actresses Nayanthara and Anushka Shetty have said a strict no to black money. The actresses have asked producers to pay their remuneration only in white, after paying all necessary taxes.

Nayanthara is paid around 3-4 crores for a movie while Anushka Shetty is paid 2-2.5 crores. They are currently the most paid actresses in the South Indian film industry.

Apparently, the actresses have taken this precaution to avoid any unwanted trouble in the future. Many producers are now in a spot of bother after this new demand put forward by the two lead actresses.

Nayanthara has Currently signed for a slew of projects. Some of her upcoming projects are Dora, Imaikka Nodigal, Aramm and Kolaiyuthir Kaalam.

Six students arrested in Baahubali 2 video leak case

We had earlier in the week reported about the shocking incident of Baahubali 2’s footage leak through YouTube.

2 minute video from the most expected movie of 2017, Baahubali-2 The Conclusion, was a shocker that shed light on the lack of proper aegis in storing the video footage during the post production works.

The producers of Baahubali, ARKA Media Works had filed a police complaint in the Cyber Crime Police department of Hyderabad. After a through investigation, the police arrested Krishna Dayanand Chowdary, a graphic designer and video editor, a trainee working at the Annapurna studios.

During the investigation the police officials had checked Krishna Dayanand Chowdary’s computer and found two clips of 9 minutes duration. He confessed that he shared the clips through Whatsapp to some of his friends.

Krishna revealed that he, along with his six other friends, leaked the Baahubali 2 video through YouTube which later became viral. The Cyber Crime police have also arrested the six youngsters. Three of them are engineering students and the other three are studying degree.

There are also reports that police found another video clip from Krishna Dayanand Chowdary’s laptop that was from Nagarjuna’s upcoming movie Om Namo Venkatesaya. The accused is said to have stolen it from the studio during the post production works.

As we said earlier, Malayalam movie industry is not Mollywood now but it is Mohanlalwood. The industry is been witnessing the supreme reign by Mohanlal without any challenge from any other as he remains the box office emperor here in this year too.

It all started in 1986 and still there is no one to challenge or even come closer to him in the box office domination. The evidence is right there when we look at the top 3 highest grossers in Mollywood Cinema History. Now, 3 Mohanlal films occupies the top 3 spots in that list and the competition is between Mohanlal movies.

No others are not at all in the race as they are not even in the picture when it comes to box office supremacy. As per the latest reports, Mohanlal movie Oppam which released in this Onam season had officially surpassed the Kerala gross of Mohanlal’s own Drishyam and become the second highest grosser from Kerala, right behind another Mohanlal starrer named Pulimurugan.

Drishyam had grossed around 42.5 crore from its run in A class theaters and Oppam had surpassed it in 78 days as it had raked in a figure above 42.6 crores.

It still runs around 20 screens here in Kerala as well. Puli Murugan is at the top as it had grossed over 75 crores from Kerala alone.

The Worldwide gross of Drishyam is 68 crores and Oppam had grossed around 63 crores from worldwide as well. Pulimurugan’s worldwide gross is now around 125 crores.

Who is Jayalakshmi in Saithan?

Music director turned actor Vijay Antony’s upcoming movie Saithan is gearing up for release on December 1. It earlier scheduled to be released in November but got postponed due to the demonetisation move by the government.

Saithan is a bilingual made in Tamil and Telugu. The first look posters and the 10 minute trailer released by the makers in YouTube have aroused the curiosity of the audience.

The 10 minute trailer shows the first 10 minutes of the movie. It is a very intriguing one with that invokes a lot of questions in the viewers mind. And the most popular question is Who is Jayalakshmi and why did he kill him.

We will have to wait till December 1 to know who Jayalakshmi is and how the plot unfolds. Saithan is a psychological thriller directed and by Pradeep Krishnamoorthy who has also handled the cinematography. Vijay Antony himself is composing the music for the movie.

Arundhathi Nair is playing the female lead while popular Chennai-based bike racer Alisha Abdulla, Meera Krishnan, veteran actors Charuhaasan and Y G Mahendra are playing pivotal characters.

Aadukalam Murugadoss, Kitty Krishna, Meera Krishnan, Siddhartha Shankar, Kamal and Vijay Sarathy are also part of the cast.

Saithan is a bilingual made in Tamil and Telugu. It is titled as Bethaludu in Telugu. Vijay Antony’s previous movie Pichaikkaran was a commercial success in Tamil Nadu.

Telugu version of Pichaikkaran, Bichagadu was an even bigger blockbuster collecting around 5 crores from the opening weekend itself. The massive success of Bichagadu has encouraged the makers to release Bethaludu for a wide release.

Saithan will be distributed by Aura Cinemas in Kerala. Reportedly, the movie has already done a huge pre release business. Saithan been certified with a U/A rating by the CBFC. Satellite rights for the movie are bought by Sun TV for a hefty amount.
