Mohanlal starrer Thanmathra to be remade in Hindi

The Blessy written and directorial film named Thanmathra, which become a super commercial and critical success is all set to be remade in Hindi. The film is noted for the unbelievably stunning performance of Mohanlal as an Alzheimer’s patient and the film had won the best actor award in Kerala State film awards and he also reached the final round of National film awards for the best actor in India. The film had fetched him many other popular achievements as well.

Still the film is considered as the best film in Blessy’s career as a director and one of the most memorable performances from Mohanlal. Now, the director is all set to remake it in Hindi and he himself said in a meet the press program arranged at Damam by Damam Media forum.

Blessy said that he will reveal the male lead of the film after completing the pre-production works of the Hindi version and only after the Hindi version of Thanmathra he will begin the shoot of his epic film based on Benyamin’s Aadu Jeevitham. Prithviraj is the hero in that movie which will be a big budget film and will be making it using 3D technology.

Blessy said that family is the most important part of a society and what happens in a society affects family as well. Even though Thanmathra is about the disease named Alzheimer’s disease, it is also about the relationships in a family. He said that he met a man who stopped using alcohol after watching Thanmathra as he became aware of the problems his wife and children facing because of this habit of him and he says he did not want to miss his wife and children anymore.

Earlier, Kollywood star Vikram told that the character played by Mohanlal in Thanmathra is a dream role for him and he really wants to remake it in Tamil. Mohanlal’s performance in it was beyond words and it will be interesting to see who will reprise the character played by Mohanlal in the Hindi version of the film.

Mollywood Super Star Suresh Gopi had sworn in as the Member of Parliament last day after being nominated as a member of Rajya Sabha. Yesterday his family members including his wife Radhika, son Gokul Suresh, Daughter Bhagya, Bhavli, Son Madhav were in the Rajya Sabha Gallery to witness the ceremony of Suresh Gopi Sworn in as the Member of Rajya Sabha.

Suresh Gopi was expecting Mammootty and Mohanlal to come for the ceremony. But due to their busy schedules, they were unable to attend the function. But both of them had called and congratulated the fellow super star for his achievement.

Mammootty told him that not to declare any big things as Suresh Gopi had just started his tenure as an MP. He also said that a member of Rajya Sabha has his limitations as well. But Suresh Gopi reminded Mammootty that like all other elected members, the nominated members also has a fund of 2 crore rupees to do things for the people.

Mohanlal was in Vietnam with his wife for a family vacation. He called Suresh Gopi and he was quite excited at the achievement of his great friend. Mohanlal and Suresh Gopi are great friends for long years and Mohanlal said that he is very happy about the achievement of Suresh. Mohanlal said “Congrats, Do well” many times through the phone as he was excited about this and he said that it was just like he got the nomination and he feels that much joy.

Pulimurugan, the most awaited film of this year in Mollywood starring Mohanlal, the biggest crowd puller here is making news each day. The anticipation level is damn too high and every tiny detail that is coming out about the movie is going viral in social media circles. The film directed by hit maker Vysakh is scripted by Udaya Krishna of the famous duo of Udayakrishnan Sibi K Thomas.

Tomichan Mulaku Padam had produced the film which is in its post-production stage now. There are reports that the film will have 2-3 days of shoot more to finish it completely. Three posters of the film had come out till now and all of them had went viral on Facebook and it had trended all over Facebook for more than 24 hours. It was indeed a rare feat of a Malayalam Cinema.

As per reports, the first teaser of the film will be released on May 21st, the birthday of super star Mohanlal. It will come out as a birthday treat from Mohanlal to his fans. As per reports coming in, the film is all set to release on July 7, the Eid season and will have an all-time record release here. The team is planning a release above 200 screens here in Kerala alone and it expected to have more than 1000 screens all over the world.

The film has artists like Lal, Jagapathi Babu, Makarand Deshpande, Kishore, Suraj, Nobi, Bala, Vinu Mohan, Kamalaini Mukharjee, Siddique, Namitha, Santhosh Keezhattoor etc along with Mohanlal. The flick said to be an action packed thriller and a big budget one too. The stunt master of this film is Peter Hein and Shaji is the cameraman of this movie. Gopi Sundar had tuned the music for this Vysakh film.

Mammootty film White which was actually planned as a Vishu release postponed multiple times and now reports says that it will release on May 20. The film directed by Uday Ananthan and produced by Eros International, is a romantic thriller as per reports and Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi is playing the female lead of Mammootty in this film. But the postponing of the flick to May 20 this year may result in a box office fight between Mammootty and his son Dulquer Salmaan. Because as per reports coming in, Dulquer Salmaan starrer film Kammattipaadam also releasing on the same date, May 20.

Even though the date of release of Kammattipaadam is not confirmed as of now, the reports doing its round in social media suggest that it may release on that date. Kammattipaadam is directed by Rajeev Ravi and scripted by P Balachandran. The film said to be a realistic action film which reportedly dealing with the history of underworld in Kochi. Dulquer Salmaan sporting 3 different getups in this film and the posters of this flick is already went viral once it released in social media.

If both films released on the same date, then it will be a thrilling box office fight between the father and son and it will be a treat for the fans of both Mammootty and Dulquer Salmaan. Earlier there came a situation in which the fight could have been materialized when Charlie and Puthiya Niyamam expected to release on the same date. But due to some technical reasons, Puthiya Niyamam postponed and the anticipation for Mammootty-Dulquer Salmaan box office fight went in vain.

Let’s hope that this time we will be able to see that rare father-son box office fight.

But recently some of his film did not do well here and he is coming again to set it all right with new action packed entertainer name Sarainodu.

The film is dubbed in Malayalam with the title Yodhaav and will hit the screens here in the second week of May. May 13 has been locked as the release date of the film here as of now. The film had already released in Telengana and Andhrapradhesh and it had become a super success there. People are of the opinion that this is the best film came from Allu Arjun recently.

Allu Arjun May come to Kerala for the promotion of this film and reports says that this time he will come to Trivandrum. Last year, he came to Kochi for the promotion of one his films released last year.

Ulaga Nayakan Kamal Haasan had announced his next film and it is titled as Sabash Naidu, which will be based on a character in his film Dasavatharam which released few years back. This film will be directed by popular Mollywood director TK Rajeev Kumar who had made his debut in film field through directing a movie with Kamal Haasan in the lead named Chanakyan. That film was a grand success in Mollywood at that time.

This upcoming film will have Sruthi Haasan as well who will play the daughter character of Kamal Haasan. It will be for the first time that both Kamala Hasan and Sruthi Hasan sharing the screen together. It must be a great spectacle when the real life father and daughter play reel life father and daughter.

Popular Telugu comedian Brahmanandam also doing a key role in this movie and the shoot of the film will start on May 14th this year. The shoot will start at USA and the whole filming will be done by July this year. The film will be a multi-lingual film one as it will be shot in Tamil (as Kundu Naiduraw), Telugu (as Sabash Naidu) and Hindi (Sabash Kundu).

The character named Balram Naidu from Dasavatharam had become the base of this film. Brahmanandam will be seen as the sidekick of Balram Naidu in the Tamil and Telugu version of Sabash Naidu and in Hindi, that character named Appa Rao will be played by Sourabh Shukla.

Apart from these three artists, popular South Indian Actress Remya Krishnan will also do a very important role in this movie. The production of this film is taken up by Lyca productions and the music direction of this movie will be done by music maestro Ilaya Raja.

Mohanlal is currently doing a Telugu film named Janata Garage and will have a film directed by Jibu Jacob as well after completing the Telugu film. There are lots of projects waiting for him which includes projects from master directors and also by new generation film makers. B Unnikrishnan said that his film with Mohanlal will be a very different film from what they had done together.

He is also planning a low budget film with actor Siddique after completing the Mohanlal film. B Unnikrishnan also has plans to do a big budget Telugu film and it will be the first another language film in his career.

He had earlier directed films like Smart City, Madambi, IG, Pramani, Thriller, Grand Master, I love Me, Mr. Fraud etc. Madambi and Grand Master with Mohanlal become super successes at box office.

From 13 days the film had collected close to 150 crores from worldwide gross and will cross this magical figure within no time from now. In Chennai Mayajal complex, which is the second biggest multiplex complex in Asia, the film had create history as well. The film had gross close to 1.25 crore from that complex alone and the number of viewers who came to watch the film there exceeded 1 lakh as well.

From Chennai alone, the film had got more than 8 crore rupees in 13 days.
