Mammootty’s Karnan is going to be something very big !

The talk of the town is Karnan for some days and it still continuing. Both Prithviraj and Mammootty decided to fight it out at the box office with same character which is conceiving by two director who entirely different styles of Film making. The expectation on RS Vimal-Prithviraj project named Karnan is based on the fact theta they had given one of the classic blockbuster of all time last year named Ennu Ninte Moideen and their association again gives great hope.

Apart from that they already told that they are not at all setting any budget limit for their film and they are looking for tri-lingual making of the film and a 2000 screen world wide release as well. They had already brought in the cameraman of Bahubali in to their crew for making it the best. But now the latest reports says that Mammootty’s Karnan written by P Sreekumar and directed by Madhupal is going to be something very big as well.

As per reports P Sreekumar’s scrip will be the highlight of the Mammootty-Madhupal film and the script said to be an awesome one. Many film makers from the industry are stunned after reading the script and many had told about it as well. Shaji Kailas last day in a media interview told that he read the script written by P Sreekumar and it is quite amazing.

Earlier Hariharan also thrilled after reading the script and want to make it as a film. Shaji Kailas too wanted it to make it as a movie. But the main problem they faced that time was the lack of a financer who can invest whole lot of money in to this project. Now they got one as per reports and he is ready invest around 50 crore rupees for the film and P Sreekumar says that 50 crore rupees and 100 days of shoot will be enough for the movie to come out in its perfection.

Anyway both films getting bigger and bigger each day as the teams behind the film is doing great homework before they actually start the filming.

Action Hero Biju is not Balram or Bharath Chandran, says Abrid Shine

Nivin Pauly starrer flick Action Hero Biju is getting ready to release and as per reports it will come to the screens in the early days of February this year. Even though earlier they planned to release it in January 22nd, then they postponed the release. The first look poster had become viral in social media and still there is no trailer or teaser of the film is released.

The expectation level is too high, as this is the first police character done by Nivin Pauly in his career and also the first production venture of him. Director Abrid Shine, who is also a co-producer of this film said to Onlookers Media that Biju Paulose, the character in this film which Nivin Pauly is playing is not a firebrand mass police characters like Mammootty’s Inspector Balram or Suresh Gopi’s Bharath Chandran IPS.

Abrid Shine said that Sub Inspector Biju Paulose is an ordinary police officer and the film is an effort to tell a realistic police story based on the life and working of a police officer. People are expecting heavy action sequences, punch dialogues, one liners and a mass film altogether. But Action Hero Biju is not a film focusing on that aspects of a mass masala entertainer. But it is the travel through the life of a Cop, played by Nivin Pauly. Of course the film will have action sequences but it is only up to a level which is enough to tell the story.

Nivin Pauly had worked hard for this film to maintain his body shape, looks and also tried to give a completely different performance as Biju Paulose as per reports. One of the songs from the film is released and it is already making waves. The song tuned by Veteran music director Jerry Amal Dev and Sung by Yesudas and Vani Jayaram, is making the people go in a nostalgic mood. Ex-minister MA Baby showered praises on Jalam

M Padmakumar’s Jalam is all set to hit the screens all over and it is already getting popular attention through the various appreciation coming its way from eminent personalities from various fields in our society. The latest on the list was Ex-Education Minister of Kerala, Sri MA Baby, who holds a key position in the Communist Party of India Marxist in Kerala. There was a special screening of the film in Trivandrum and it was attended by many key figures from social, political and entertainment field. MA Baby was one of them and he had showed praises on this film after watching it there.

MA Baby said that Jalam portrays the cry of those who are homeless and those who does not possess even a small piece of land of their own to live in or make a shelter. He said that every film must be like a mirror hold against the life of the people living around us and Jalam is one such film. M A Baby also said that the film had successfully told a socially relevant subject with great aesthetic and artistic touch and the depth of the content in the film is really remarkable and impressive. According to him, Jalam is not just a movie, but an experience that can make you feel the pain of those who are living around us homeless and helpless.

The film Jalam is world’s first Charity movie and it is a CSR film which had been produced by Aries Group owned by Sohan Roy. They are all set to donate the amount that the film collects from theaters to the people who have no home. The producer Sohan Roy also declared that if one does not like the film or disappointed after watching the film, he is ready to give back the ticket charge with compensation to those people as well.

Watching Jalam means that you also indirectly contribute to a good cause as the ticket you bought for the film indirectly becomes your donation to help the homeless people in the society.

Proud moment for Malayalam cinema as director Shankar also praised Premam

Premam, the Alphonse Puthren directorial film starred by Nivin Pauly is again making news and brings proud moments for Malayalam cinema yet again. Last master director Shankar had posted on his Facebook page that he watched Premam and really loved it. He said that it was realistic entertainer and it will really take back each and every one who watches it to their teens and tees. He also congratulated Alphonse Puthren and the whole team of the film for the superb making and grand success it has got. Shankar said that Premam was a real lively movie.

Apart from that the film is making news for its run in Chennai as well. The flick is still running there and completed almost 245 days there in Chennai. Till now it was in Escape Cinemas Chennai and now from today the film will have one more screen in Mayajaal Complex Chennai. It is sure that the film will cross 250 days in Tamil Nadu and it will be a new record and proud moment for Malayalam Cinema.

Earlier there were reports that the film will end its run after completing 230 days at Chennai. But because of the demand for the film there, they continue with the show. At Escape Cinemas it have a show at 3.40 PM in the evening and from today it will have one more show in Mayajaal Complex at 3 PM in the evening.

The Film produced by Anwar Rasheed is already become the second highest grosser of all- time in Mollywood and 3rd highest grosser in Kerala alone behind Mohanlal’s Drishyam and Prithviraj’s Ennu Ninte Moideen.

Unni Mukundan to play Mohanlal’s son in Janatha Garage !

Mohanlal’s new Telugu film with Jr. NTR-Janatha Garage- is getting bigger and bigger each day. Earlier we reported that it will be a 100 crore budget film and it will be record for a Malayalam Superstar as Mohanlal is to become the first Mollywood Superstar to play the lead in a 100 crore budget multi star film and that too in another language. Reports also coming in that Mohanlal is getting a remuneration which no other actor had got till now in Malayalam Cinema history. The latest on the film says that young Mollywood star Unni Mukundan is also playing a part in the Telugu film and he will be seen as the son of the character played by Mohanlal in the film. It is not an officially confirmed report, but the news is coming in that way.

Earlier there were reports that young star Fahad Fazil may play a key role in the Telugu film along with Mohanlal, but now it seems that they had roped in Unni Mukundan instead of Fahad Fazil. The film is titled as Janata Garage and directed by Hit Maker Koratala Siva. Mythri movies will be producing this big budget film and sources close to them said that the film will start filming from next month 10th or 17th. Mohanlal will join the sets after he completes his Malayalam biggie Puli Murugan and his part will be shot at Hyderabad first.

There they will shoot some flash back part and later they will move to Mumbai for a schedule there. Jr. NTR will join the crew in the Mumbai schedule and as per reports he is now busy with making a change over for the film physically. They are planning to release the film in the coming August and planning things accordingly.

As per sources the film will be shot in a big canvas and will be absolute entertainer with deep emotion, action, comedy romance etc. The combination scenes between Mohanlal and Jr. NTR had come out well in the screenplay as per sources and it will be a treat for their fans. Samantha said to be playing the lead heroine of the film even though its officially not confirmed yet.

A music album will release on this coming February 14th, on the Valentine’s day, titled Final Over and it will have popular Mollywood actress Miya George in the lead. The music album is conceived by Bilahari Raj and sung by Vineeth Chakyar. The thought process begun about the making of this album, when the team behind the album thought that rather making anything a new song, why don’t just try take an old song and treat it in a new way giving it a new story and atmosphere completely different from what it already had. It is a great challenge indeed and they took it. Vineeth Chakyar who sang the song also played the lead in the album along with Miya who agreed to do it right after she heard the song.

The camera is cranked by Sreeraj Raveendran and editing is done by Aakash Joseph Varghese. The Distribution of the album is taken up by Sathyam Audios online. The makeup is done by Manoj Ankamaly who had won state film award, and Gireesh Menon had done the art work as well. The costumes were designed by Sunil Rahman and the presence of these 3 experience guys had made the level of the album higher than the team expected. They never compromised on the technical side as they finished the shooting in one day using a Red Dragon and the location were Pepper House at Fort Kochi.

The team behind the album says that rather than an album which gives you great rich visuals, it will be one which give you the perspectives of two characters and conceived t in that way.

Oduvil Unnikrishnan is one of the greatest actors Malayalam Cinema had ever seen. We can’t forget the characters done by him in his career ever and also can’t forget the great human being he was. Even though he had done comedy and supporting actor role more in his career, he had made us stunned with his amazing act as hero as well. It was in Adoor Goapalakrishnan directorial film Nizhalkkooth and he won the best actor state award as well for that performance. He also got best supporting actor state award for two times for films like Kadhapurushan directed by Adoor Gopalakrishnan and Thooval Kottaram directed by Sathyan Anthikkadu.

The actor died in the year 2006 and from that time many had said to the government as well as the people from film industry to make a memorial for him. And now it is happening under the leadership of popular director Lal Jose and the one who came with all the help for the memorial is none other than the superstar Mohanlal.

Lal Jose himself shared the news in his Facebook page, thanking Mohanlal for his immense support for building a library at Keralassery as a memorial for Oduvil Unnikrishnan. Mohanlal and Oduvil Unnikrishnan had acted in many movie together and their relationship was great which can’t be expressed using words. Mohanlal here once again proved that when it comes to helping people, he is indeed one of the best from Mollywood.

Lal Jose said that he expect others and all film lovers to contribute to the cause of building that library in memory of Oduvil Unnikrishnan in whatever way they can. 2016 is going to witness a unique trend in Malayalam cinema and it is related with the selection of films of our Superstars and young stars. Last year we saw the rise of young stars with young directors and super stars were a bit low doing films with some senior directors. Nivin Pauly, Dulquer Salmaan, Prithviraj etc won the box office battle with new generation film makers while Mammootty and Mohanlal tasted criticisms by doing films with some senior directors.

But 2016 is going in another direction. This year we can see a complete change in the perspective of these stars. As Mammootty and Mohanlal is all set to do some newcomers movies this year and youngsters like Prithviraj, Nivin Pauly and Dulquer Salmaan all set to experiment with some senior film makers as per reports.

As of now, Mohanlal is all set to do a film with director Jibu Jacob who had only done one film in his career. It was the blockbuster success named Vellimoonga. The shoot will start in February as per reports and is scripted by Sindhuraj and produced by Sophia Paul. Reports also coming in that he will do a film with G Prajith who had made his debut with the blockbuster Oru Vadakkan Selfie last year. Mammootty is always love to do films with newcomers and will continue the same trend by doing the maiden ventures of two directors this year. One will be a cop story from Nithin Renji Panicker and other will be the film directed by Sajeevan.

On the other hand Young stars will do a handful of films with senior directors this year as per reports. Nivin Pauly will have a Lal Jose project this year and also may do a Dr. Biju project. Dulquer Salmaan is all set to do film with Sathyan Anthikkad and he will also do a Pratap Pothen directorial film as well. Prithviraj also will have some films directed by seniors this year. The main projects will be with Hariharan (Syamanthakam) and with Blessy (Aadu Jeevitham).

Hope that all these decisions by our super stars and young stars will bring good luck and success to them and Mollywood.
