Pavada Collection Report – 7 Days

Prithviraj starrer Pavada, directed by G Marthandan and scripted by Bipin Chandran is already become the first success of this year and now on its way to become the first super hit movie of this year. The film which had got positive mouth publicity is now doing very good in box office. As per the latest collection reports, the film had earned rupees 6.75 crore in 7 days of its theatrical run. It is great earning in terms of financial status. The film is not a big budget one and this collection from 7 days had made it a safe one at box office.

The film had started off with a collection of 1.09 crore from its opening day as it came without making much hype around it. But the positive word of mouth had helped it go rocking at box office from the next days and first weekend collection had stood around 4 crore. That means from the next four days the film had earned 2.75 crores. The average collection per day is close to 70 lakhs rupees and that is very good when we consider the fact that those 4 days are working days.

Prithviraj is now scored his 4th consecutive success at box office with this film and it is the 10th production venture of popular actor Maniyanpilla Raju. The success of the film also gave a boost to director Marthandan who was a little down after the big failure he suffered last year with Acha Din.

Young superstar Prithviraj is not only the most followed young star of Mollywood, but also a hardcore Mohanlal fan as well. Mohanlal, one of the most followed star in Mollywood had many and many admirers from all around the country and undoubtedly the star who has more followers from Indian film industry itself than any other actors in India. Prithviraj told in many media interviews that he is a Mohanlal admirer from his childhood and still he is one of his ardent follower. Today he again came out by praising his favorite actor’s performance in the 2005 released film named Udayananu Tharam, directed by Roshan Andrews, which was Roshen Andrews’s first film.

Prithviraj posted in his official twitter account that he is now watching Udayananu Tharam again and he said that this film showcases one of the least discussed but finest performance ever done by a male lead in Malayalam. He expressed that Mohanlal is beyond the level of legend when it comes to his acting skills. Prithviraj had acted in the remake of this film in Tamil and he enacted the role played by Mohanlal in the Tamil version named Vellithira.

Prithviraj always expresses his love and admiration for Mohanlal. The first time people saw it in an interview in Tamil Channel when he said that he loves Mohanlal’s acting more than that of Mammootty, the other super star of Mollywood. Years later in another Television interview in a Tamil Channel (Coffee with DD), during the time of his Kaviya Thalaivan release, he said that the actors who inspired him most is Mohanlal, Kamal Haasan etc. He also said that he had plans to direct a movie in the near future and his dream hero is Mohanlal and heroine is Manju Warrier.

Apart from all of this it is a trend in now a days that young stars imitates Mohanlal in their films and gets the applause from the audience. Prithviraj had now done it in his recent successes like Amar Akbar Anthony and Pavada as he imitated Mohanlal’s voice and style in both the film. Those scenes were the most applauded scenes from the film and he even said that he knows he get huge round of applause if he imitate Mohanlal, even from those people who usually not clap for him.

Malayalam actor Abu Salim to play a character in Bahubali 2 ?

Everybody is waiting for Bahubali 2 right from the day they watched the first part of the film and the golden question is Why Kattappa killed Bahubali.? To give the answer to all of you the team behind the film had begun the shoot of its second part and it will come to the screens at the end of this year. The shooting of the film is now going on at Kannur district in Kerala, The god’s own country. The filming is taking place at the forests of Kannur. Bahubali first part also shot its major parts in Kerala and that was at Athirappilly waterfalls in Thissur District. But apart from this news, another report is coming that Mollywood actor Abu Salim is acting in the second part of Bahubali.

It is not a confirmed report and as of now it is a rumor. It all started when Abu Salim had posted a photo in which he is posing with SS Rajamouli at Kannur. Now, the news doing its round in social Media that Abu Salim is a part of the cast of the film. Abu Salim with his great physique has all the chance to get an opportunity to play a character in Bahubali 2 as it needs several actors with great physique to do different characters in the film.

Abu Salim is going through a good time of his career as he looks and the some of the characters he had done getting great attention. His Character from Renjith directorial Mohanlal starrer Loham and Nadirsha directorial multistar film Amar Akbar Anthony was well received and appreciated. His look in Loham which reminded WWE super star Rock also went viral in social media at that time. In Amar Akbar Anthony, he had done a comedy role and that too went well with the audience.

Let’s hope that this news about his participation in Bahubali 2 comes true and it will become one more reason for Malayalees to wait for Bahubali 2 apart from the reason they have to wait for it.

Popular Mollywood actress Archana Kavi got married today with Abish Mathew, who is one of the most popular standup comedians in India. Archana Kavi was engaged to Abish Mathew on 31st October last year at New Delhi. That function was attended by the close relatives and friends of both Archana and Abish. But today’s wedding ceremony was indeed a grand one. The wedding was at Ernakulam and it was attended by celebrities like Rima, Malavika, Jomon T John, Ann Augustine etc. A grand wedding reception is also there at Bolgati Palace, Kochi.

Both Archana and Abish were natives of Kottayam District in Kerala and both are great friends from their Childhood. Later both of them went to New Delhi with parents and grown up there. Archana Kavi had made her entry to Mollywood with a great project and it was from none other than Master director Lal Jose and scripted by the maestro M T Vasudevan Nair. It was the remake of the old film named Neelathamara with the same title.

Her performance was very good in that film and later she acted in a handful of Malayalam films as heroine as well as in supporting roles. She also acted in Tamil and Telugu films. Her noted Mollywood flicks apart from Neelathamara is Mummy and Me, Abhiyum Njanum, Honey Bee, To Noora with love etc.

Abish Mathew had started his career as Radio Jocky and later become one of the most popular Standup comedian in North.

Mollywood is going to witness a unique thing as two stars here are coming with their films which is based on the same character. We know that you all now guessed which is the character, and you are right. It is the character named Karnan from the Indian epic Mahabharatha. The two actors who is going to fight it out by playing the same character is none other than Megastar Mammootty and young star Prithviraj.

RS Vimal is directing the Prithviraj film which has Karnan’s character and Madhupal is directing the Mammootty film in which he plays Karnan. Prithviraj film is already launched with the title Karnan and the shooting will only start after the completion of script which is still in its writing stage. Mammootty’s Karnan is now tentatively titled as Dharma Kshetrm, as per reports and it will start shooting in the near future as the script is already completed by P Sreekumar.

In a recent media interview, When Prithviraj was asked about the coming of two films based on same character and that too with Megastar Mammootty band himself playing the lead characters, he replied that it was very exciting news indeed. He says that it is a happy news. Prithviraj said that Karnan is a character from Mahabharatha which has a lot of depth and many interpretations can be given to such a deep character. There are many interpretation for Karnan’s character in literature and it can be expressed or can be conceived through movies too. Prithviraj also said that he really wants Mammootty’s Karnan to reach on screens before his one as he feels that he can learn a lot from Mammootty’s performance as Karnan.

Both films will be made on a big canvas and as per reports Prithviraj-RS Vimal team’s Karnan will be much bigger than Mammootty-Madhupal team’s Karnan. Because RS Vimal said that they are not setting any budget limit at all and will invest the maximum to make it a perfect product. On the other hand Mammootty-Madhupal’s team’s Karnan will be made using an amount around 50 crore as said by P Sreekumar, its writer.

Popular actor Dileep who came back strongly after a bad patch with the blockbuster success of Two Countries, is all set to amaze us with a 3D film as well. The first look poster of his upcoming 3D film is out and the title of the film is Professor Dinkan. The film will be the directorial debut of popular cinematographer K Ramachandra Babu and the screenplay will be written by Rafi. The cinematography of the film will also be done by director Ramachandra Babu and the flick will start shooting after Dileep completes his ongoing projects.

Rafi is the one who written the script for Dileep’s recent blockbuster Two Countries, which is directed by Rafi’s brother Shafi. Now, the super hit writer-actor combo is all set to rock again with a 3D film. As per the first look poster, it seems that Dileep will be playing a magician in this film. It is sure that the film will be aimed at Children and family and will be a fun film for sure. The budget and canvas of the film is not available now and everybody hopes that it will be made on a grand canvas and stand up to the level of any superb fantasy films made in South India.

The film had also entered the 20 crore club of Mollywood in quick pace and on the way to become one of the All- Time Blockbusters of Mollywood. It had surely become the Christmas winner among big releases.

Dileep is now finishing up his work in King Liar which marks the reunion of Siddique-Lal duo and it is said to be making on a grand scale. The film will reportedly come to grace the screens in the coming March. Let’s wait for the Popular actor’s rule at box office once again.

Mammooty’s Karnan to be titled as Dharma Kshetram ?

Mammootty and Madhupal teaming up for the first time in their career and that too with an epic film based on the life of Karnan, one of the most powerful and followed character from the epic of Mahabharatha. The film is scripted by popular actor and director P Sreekumar and he took an effort for almost 18 years to complete the screenplay of the film after doping so much research and studies on the character of Karnan.

But due to some misunderstanding, Prithviraj-RS Vimal team also launched their film with the title Karnan, as they are also making a film based on the life of this epic character from Mahabharatha. They had already registered the name Karnan for their film and no one from Mollywood now can use that name from now on as RS Vimal-Prithviraj team had registered it for their film. So as per the reports coming in Madhupal-Mammootty film based on Karnan will be titled as Dharma Kshetram. It is not a confirmed report. But sources says that the film will be titled Dharma Kshetram as of now and there are chances that it may be replaced with another title if the team get another one which is more apt for the film.

There are reports coming in that the film will begin its shooting right after Mamootty completes his upcoming projects which he already committed and the Pre-Production is on full swing. Sources says that the film is planning to be a 2017 Vishu Release. As per reports, Madhupal-Mammootty film will come first as they are starting the filming first. RS Vimal is not yet completed the screenplay of his film with Prithviraj and so there are chances that there must be delay before the starting of their film.

P Sreekumar told to media that their film will need around 100 days of shooting and will have almost 3-4 schedules. The budget also calculated around 50 crore rupees as well. They are trying to rope in a great crew before the shoot of the film starts as well.

Eranakulam, Alappuzha, Thrissur, Kottayam, Kannur, Pathanamthitta and Kollam are the 7 districts where the film is re-releasing on its 16th anniversary. January 26 is a holiday and it well may be the republic day. But this time for Mohanlal fans and Malayalam film lovers, it is going to be the Narasimham day as well, a day in which they get another chance to watch the ultimate mass film ever made in Mollywood on silver screens.

The tickets for the shows are already sold out at almost all the theaters and only a few remaining as of now. Fans are gearing up for great celebration and with this Mohanlal proves once again that when it comes to stardom in Kerala, he is the last word.
