I am controlled by an unknown power says Guinness Pakru

0

Popular film actor Ajayan who is popularly known as Guinness Pakru says that he is controlled by an unknown power when it comes down to things which may seem an impossible task. He says that right from his childhood when he was studying in school, the encouragement and support of his friends and Teachers were the source of power that helped him to showcase his skills on stage and win recognitions. It is just like someone winds a key into a toy and then letting it go free with its motion.

He says that at a very earlier age for sometime he was a person who got intimidated by the tall people around him. But later he was able to overcome that and it is because of that he reached where he is now today. Ajayan got a place in Guinness Book of World Records as well through the film Albhutha Dweep in which he acted as the male lead and now he is also known as Guinness Pakru a name fondly given to him by Mega Star Mammootty.

He says that he has lots of limitations comparing to others. But he never thinks that anything is impossible. If someone feels something is impossible then he feels that he should do it or make it possible. Then he tries to do that and makes all his effort to succeed in that. In these trying and efforts sometimes he failed and sometimes he got successes as well. But he never backs off from a challenge saying that it is impossible for him. If we lose, then we can try again to make it and that is his policy.

Ajayan also said that there are many people like him who has greater talent in them and may be more talented than him. But he has got lucky enough to get the right opportunity at the right time even though he had to go through a lot of struggles in life at every point. Ajayan loves to talk and loves children a lot. May be that is why he is still so young and innocent like a child. He says that he loves the company of his old friends the most than anything else.

Urumbukal Urangarilla Review

0

Urumbukal Urangarilla is a film which had come without much hype and in fact it is a small film compared to the other releases of this season which had star studded cast. The songs of the film which was released some days back also made an impact among the viewers and many people expressed their expectation about the film saying that this might be a good one or a different experience as it is coming without making much noise and totally the people associated with the film are not the ones who let us down usually.

Surely they were referring to artists like Vinay Fort and Chemban Vinod who constantly becomes part of minimum guarantee films. The flick has been conceived by Jiju Ashokan. The title of the flick has been associated with the idea that thieves don’t sleep usually during the night as they are out on their endeavor that time and you know what is that. Yes, to steal valuables from others.

The flick has 5 main characters and each one of them are thieves who has expertise in different fields of theft. Once the character played by Vinay Fort named Manoj was caught during the act of theft by an ex-thief played by Sudheer Karamana named Kelu Aasan, he hands Manoj over to one of his disciples named Benny played by Chemban Vinod for a better training in the art of theft. The film follows some interesting events from there and has presented what happens in their life.

The flick has been packed with lot of humour and have to say that the humour part has worked out very well, thanks to the performances of the actors. Some of the comedy numbers by Chemban Vinod really produced uncontrollable laughter. Performance of Chemban Vinod was excellent and it is really a great boost to the film. Gopi Sundar’s music and background scoring was only up to an average level. The visuals by Vishnu Narayan was good and specially the night visuals were superb. The negative of the film is that the film went into a sluggish pace even after portraying some events which could be able to bring some thrill. The scripting went not well there comparing to the other parts.

As a director Jiju tried to hold things together but lacked clarity in bringing together different situations. But just before climax he got it back and the climax part was brilliant. Aju Varghese, Musthafa and Shajon did their part well as usual. On the whole Urumbukal Urangarilla is an above average entertainer which will not disappoint you.

Director : Jiju Asokan

Ennu Ninte Moideen Review

0

Ennu Ninte Moideen is a film which came to the theaters today. It is in the news here in Kerala right from the day it had started its filming. Because the story has real life influence and the story is well-known to the people of Kerala. The epic love story of Kanchana Mala and Moideen is very popular here. The flick is directed by Vimal and written by him as well. The star cast of the film has Prithviraj who plays the role of Moideen and Parvathy plays the character of Kanchana Mala. Even though the real life Kanchana Mala who is still alive has filed a case against the film telling that they are making her life story including false informations to make it cinematic, the team behind the film said that there is no such thing and you will all understand their honesty behind it after watching the film.

The story of the film is set in the background of Calicut district in Kerala during the 1960’s. The flick tells us about the epic love story between Moideen, a muslim guy and Kanchana Mala, a Hindu girl who fell in love at a time where the religion and cast issues were high. Moideen who is a socialist has his own issues with his father who is an ardent congress follower as well. The father character of his is played by Sai Kumar. The story moves forward when Moideen’s love affair with Kanchana Mala comes out before everyone and that become an issue.

Vimal as script writer and director tries his very best to stay honest to the real life story of the characters and have to say that he has succeeded in it as well. He had earlier made it a documentary and that experience really looks like helped him in setting that period with utmost perfection and each frame of the film has the unique feel of that period. The screenplay has depth in it and it will make you move with its poetic yet realistic dialogues and the perfect casting has also paid off when it comes to the performance of each and every actors. The performance from Prithviraj and Parvathy was just fabulous as they really looked like real life Moideen and Kanchana Mala and their chemistry was also fabulous.

Then the performance from Tovino Thomas as the character Appu was amazing as the character who loves Kanchana Mala as well. Actor Bala and Actress Lena also came with memorable performance. Jomon T John’s visuals really took the film to a level of reality as well as divinity at the same time and we can’t ask for a better visual pattern he has created for this epic love story. M Jayachandran and Ramesh Narayana’s songs and Gopi Sundar’s background music really complimented each other well and made it really blend with the soul of the film.

The director had used rain to a good effect to maintain the poetic effect on the narration. The only negative one can find in the narration is the slow pace at some places. The flick which will make you feel the love of Moideen and Kanchana at the same time will make you emotional as well. Prithviraj and Parvathy may get recognition for their performance in the highest level.

Ennu Ninte Moideen is not a commercial potboiler. It is an honest depiction of a real life story and its like a poem on the silver screen.. Don’t miss it..

Director : R.S Vimal

Aashiq Abu to bring Munnar strike to silver screens

0

The latest sensational news which really invited the attention of each and every malayali is the strike that occurred in Munnar. The strike was organized by the tea plantation workers in Munnar for a hike in their salary. Many people called it as the Jasmine Revolution. The strike was a great success and it is regarded as one of the greatest strikes and success made by the plantation workers unity in Kerala.

The strike was lead by women workers in the plantation and they won it without the support of any political parties and trade unions. That makes the success even more sweeter and the revolution even more powerful. Now as per the latest news director Aashiq Abu is now all set to make it as the subject of his next film and soon we will see the epic Munnar plantation strike on the silver screens of Kerala.

The strike had started without the support of political parties and trade unions as we said above. But when the strike got public attention and public support, political parties and trade union came to support them. But the women who lead the strike denied all that support and in fact they only gave their respect for V S Achuthanandan when he came there to support and stand with them. They even discarded the ministers who came there and that made the strike more fierce and at last government had to yield before the plantation workers and before the power of women association.

As per reports the pre- production works of the film based on this has started already which will be directed by Aashiq Abu. The details of the cast and crew of this film is not yet revealed. Aashiq Abu was an active member of Students Federation of India while he was studying in Maharaja’s College Ernakulam. So we can expect a film with all its revolutionary spirit as the director himself is a revolutionary party follower. Aashiq’s film with Manju Warrier and Rima Kallingal named Rani Padmini will release by October 23rd in theaters across Kerala.

A temporary end to film crisis and 3 films to hit the screens tomorrow

0

Yesterday we reported about the crisis that is destroying Malayalam cinema industry and about the latest edition of that crisis. Today there was a discussion occurred between the distributors and Film exhibitors federation members and as result the theater crisis had ended temporarily. So 3 films which is slated to release on Friday as per earlier schedule of release will now release tomorrow in the theaters all over Kerala. Jeethu Joseph-Dileep Film Life of Josooty had postponed to the 24thof September and it will come along with Kohinoor and Pathemary next week.

The films that releasing tomorrow are Prithviraj starrer Vimal directorial flick named Ennu Ninte Moideen, Jiju Ashokan directorial Vinay Fort- Chemban Vinod starring flick Urumbukal Urangarilla and veteran director Balachandra Menon’s film Njan Samvidhanam Cheyyum. Ennu Ninte Moideen will be biggest release among the above mentioned three films.

Ennu Ninte Moideen Theater List

The crisis ended as a result of the decision by the distributors to cancel the decision to not give films to the theaters under the exhibitors federation leaders. The meeting was took place at Film Chamber hall at Kochin. The main reason for the crisis is not only this but also the wide release issue which is making the Malayalam cinema industry just like a war sight between different film organizations.

The exhibitors federation demands the same rules and favour that is given to the multiplexes in big malls by the distributors. Still the whole problems are not resolved and it is still burning. But somehow the releases will come from tomorrow and there are many big releases coming here including big films from kollywood and Bollywood.

Some people accuses the exhibitors federation saying that they are making all this havoc every time just before a big tamil movie is releasing here. Then they makes or postpones many Malayalam films in the name of strike or cutting down the number of theaters to give more screens to Tamil or Hindi films. This time also the situation is the same as on October 1st Vijay Starrer tamil flick Puli is releasing in huge number of theaters in Kerala.

I was not accepted well, says Indrans

0

Actor Indrans, is popular among the Malayalis as a comedian. This actor who has marked a space of his own in the Mollywood industry won the Kerala State Special Jury Award in 2014. This much appreciated, loved actor came to the industry as an actor and a costume designer in 1981. Indrans said to the media about his late achievement he has received as he has been a part of more than 250 films and is still working. And he says that whenever he thought of a recognition, he never got one. He never expected an award for the role in Apothecary as he had lose the hope of getting an award.

Indrans has been on the silver screen for the past 30 years and has managed to do different roles in these lifetime. He contributed his best in many of his films that he even thought he would get appreciated for his hard work but nothing ever came in his favour. He even expected some awards for his different roles and performances in some films, so he stopped thinking of getting awards and made himself understand that how good you perform you will not be rewarded or recognised. It was during this time, the award came for his performance in Apothecary, it was a delightful and sorrowful moment in this talented actor’s career.

Now he is happy about getting this award and has also said that as the beauty is concerned it is tough to receive an award among the odds and he is delighted to get chosen as the best out of that, as he expected an award for his performance in the movie Kathavaseshan in 2004 but never won.

This amazing personality has done a lot of comic roles as he is famous for those comic characters he portrayed. He has a style of his own which had no traits of the successful humour packages of that time like Adoor Bhasi, Bahadoor, Innocent or Jagathy. Indrans never duplicated anyone but placed his style as a turning point for him starting from the movie CID Unnikrishnan. From then on he has been one of that busiest humour package that is preferred by the directors till now. He is also capable of doing serious roles, realistic roles and so on. He can be categorised under a character actor as he acts according to the demand of the script. This multi-faceted actor is truly a treasure for Malayalam Cinema.
