Dhyan Sreenivasan to the path of direction

Dhyan Sreenivasan, son of amazing screenwriter, actor, director Sreenivasan and brother of Vineeth Sreenivasan to go through the path of direction. This is not a shocking news that the Sreenivasan family has their own touch in all these fields in the film industry. First it was Sreenivasan who was the favourite of Malayali audiences and later came Vineeth Sreenivasan in his own style adding much more talents and skills to the list, he has also achieved what his father achieved. This is why once people said ‘Like father like son’.

It is true that the blood relationship will truly have similarities, in Dhyan’s case also he and his brother Vineeth Sreenivasan is showcasing what their Father Sreenivasan has in him. They are multi-talented and loved by the public. Vineeth Sreenivasan is popular for his direction, script writing, singing and so on and his brother is getting ready to follow him in the path of being a director.

This was revealed by Dhyan Sreenivasan himself on an interactive session with Radio Jockey Lavanya in the programme Morning No. 1 show in Red FM. He also revealed that he will soon start his direction venture but the casts and the title are not yet confirmed and the shoot is expected to start by next year. This will be truly a much awaited project when it comes to the silver screens as the public will be very much anticipated about the directorial talent of Dhyan.

Dhyan’s father Sreenivasan has written for more than 50 films, worked in 200 plus films and has directed two films and is still gracing Mollywood industry with his charm. Now it’s Dhyan Sreenivasan who is going to try his luck on direction, anyway the Father and Vineeth had truly the taste of direction in them and hope Dhyan will keep up his work by his own mark in it.

Dhyan debuted through the film Thira which was directed by Vineeth Sreenivasan which can be said that a different approach in the New Age cinema. And his second film was his Onam release Kunjiramayanam which was well received by the audience along with Loham, comparing to the other releases of the season. In Kunjiramayanam, both Sreenivasan brothers worked together on screen, for the first time. Best wishes Dhyan Sreenivasan for your directorial venture !!!

Upcoming big budget films in Mollywood

Mollywood is usually not popular for big budget films like Baahubali or something like Tamil big budget films. Because Mollywood’s market is a very limited one and it is comparatively a very small industry. We even has limitations in telling certain subjects in films which can increase the budget to a level which we can’t afford. But Mollywood has its own share of big budget films as well when we consider a scale of normal budget films made here.

If we say simply anything above 10 crore or even around that 8-10 crore mark is considered as a big budget film here as it needs almost above 20 crore collection from the theaters to make some profit for such films excluding its multiple rights. With satellite rights and other rights such as all India distribution rights, overseas rights, audio rights, video rights, remake rights etc film can actually earn profit other than from theater collection alone.

An interesting fact is that the highest grossing films of Mollywood is still two medium budget films and that are Drishyam which had a business of 75 crores when it only had a budget of 4.5 crore and then comes Premam which had done almost 60 crores business in total with almost 4-5 crore budget. So we are presenting you some upcoming big budget films in Mollywood which can set the money bells ringing at Box Office…

This flick will be directed by Hariharan and starring Prithviraj in the lead. The screenplay has been completed by Hariharan and it is said to be a project of 30 crores.

Mohanlal-Priyadarshan Multilingual film

This untitled film will be directed by Priyadarshan and starring by Mohanlal who undoubtedly the actor with biggest star value here in Mollywood. The film is said to be made with 27-28 crores and it will be made in 5 different languages. The flick will be an action thriller set in Russia. Shoot will start next year in March as of now.

Pulimurugan

Mohanlal seems to be the favourite of big budget film makers and financiers as he is the only star in Mollywood who can assure them a profit even if the word of mouth is not well for the film. This film is directed by Vysakh and said to have a budget around 15 crores which is not a correct figure. The flick is an action-adventure film which has already started its filming.

It is the flick which will go on floors by the end of this year directed by Akhil Paul and Anas Khan, starring Mammootty. It will be an action entertainer with above 10 crore budget as per sources. The title is not the permanent one as this was just put tentatively as of now.

We had given you the news some weeks before that director Rajesh Pillai who bring about a new change in Mollywood with his classic hit named Traffic is doing another film this year with Kunchacko Boban- Manju warrier-Jayasurya team. Now the latest on the film tells that it will be titled as Vetta. Rajesh Pillai directorial film Mili with Nivin Pauly-Amal Paul team had come this year first but failed to make an impact in the box office. So this film quite an important one for Rajesh Pillai as he had waited so long to make his next film in Malayalam after Traffic.

The team behind the film informed us that the shoot will begin from the next month and the main location where most of the portions will be canned is Ernakulam and Vandi Periyar region. The film is touted as a Pyschological thriller and it will be the first film which is doing by Rajesh Pillai in this genre. The story and screenplay of this psychological thriller will be done by Arun Lal Ramachandran and the other artist in the film who plays key roles along with the above mentioned trio are Bhama, Vijaya Raghavan, Prem Prakash, Deepak Parambol, Dr Rony, Gayathri, Dr. Uma, Baby Nandana. Apart from these actors there will be another heroine as well in this film which will be announced soon.

This will be the film Manju warrier acting after finishing her work in Phillips and Monkey Pen film director’s second film. Her Ragini Padmini directed by Aashiq Abu will hit the screens in this coming October. This film Vetta will tell the story of 3 people and Rajesh Pillai said that this will be the first mind game movie in Malayalam language. The film will have great mystery from its very first frame and this will be a very different attempt from him says Rajesh Pillai.

It will be financed by A V Anoop productions and Rajesh Pillai films together. This will be the first production venture of Rajesh Pillai as well. Shan Rahman will compose the music while Aneesh Lal will crank the camera.

There is some interesting things happening in our film industry and of course there is no scarcity of controversies in our industry. Not only ours it is very common in all film industries around the world and when it is come to the accusation and happenings related to frauds or cheating then it becomes all the more common. The new controversy or so called accusation had come from popular actress Iniya and she had posted it ion her Facebook profile as well. In her Facebook post she told that a celebrity Photographer named Sarith C Varma had cheated her and she want to tell it to all. But the photographer had denied the allegation and says that it was not his responsibility to control the publishing of a photo in any magazine.

Iniya says that Sarith had took her photograph as a part of a photoshoot and then gave it to many magazines without her permission. Most of them are her glamorous or bad photos. She also accuses him that he is taking money from the magazines for giving them the glamorous photos of the actresses including her.

But Sarith has to say a different version. He says that he had took her photos as a part of a photoshoot. Her mother and sister also with her while the photoshoot was happening there. Then after the photoshoot Iniya was very happy and said that it was very nice to work with him. Later he gave all that photos and memory card to the magazine, but it was not classified under edited or not-edited. So he told them not to publish unedited pictures. They agreed to that. But later the magazine had published Iniya’s glamorous photos and how could it becomes his fault he asks. He also says that for the past one and half years he did not even contacted with that magazine for any photoshoot or related to that photoshoot of Ineya. He don’t even seen Ineya as well during this time. He never gets the payment of that photoshoot as well.

He says he was really shocked to see her Facebook post against him and it really hurt him a lot. They are asking a big amount as a compensation as well. But he is not ready to give it as he believes he is innocent in this regard.

One more new face is coming to the M-town the film named Muthugow directed by Vipin Das. The flick has been produced by Friday film house in association with carnival films had already begun its filming at trivandrum. The film is already in news for the main factor that Suresh Gopi’s son Gokul Suresh is making his acting debut through this film which is a romantic-comedy as per reports. That itself gave the film a news value as the super star’s son is making his debut here in Mollywood.

This is the first film which Friday film house producing in association with carnival films and Arthana Vijaya Kumar is playing the female lead in it. It was Premam fame Anupama Parameshwaran was the first choice of the team to play the female lead. Then they decided to cast Ahaana who is the daughter of actor Krishna Kumar. Aahana had already made her debut in Mollywood through the film named Njan Steve Lopez directed by Rajeev Ravi and starring Fahad Fazil’s brother Farhan Fazil as male lead.

Later the team Muthugow dropped that plan too and went for Niranjana who had made her entry through the Ranjith-Mohanlal super success Loham which released on this Onam season. Her character got good appreciation as well. But that effort too not went well for the team of muthugow and at last they found their heroine in Arthana Vijaya Kumar and finalized her. The Pooja function of the flick had held at Trivandrum last day in the esteemed presence of Action King Suresh Gopi himself and his wife Radhika.

Arthana vijaya kumar become famous through anchoring a famous show in Flowers channel named Smart Show. That helped her to get noticed and at last she reached the big screen with a prestigious project which launching a star kid in Mollywood. The flick has been a romantic one and will give her ample scope to showcase her talent. Arthana was also doing modelling along with her anchoring in flowers channel and now she hopes that she will make it big in the silver screen as well.
