Om Shanthi Oshana team again to strike

As per the latest reports Om Shanthi Oshana team again going to come in the near future which will mark the coming together of Nivin Pauly and Jude Antony Joseph once again. Om Shanthi Oshana was Jude Antony joseph’s debut film released in last year February and in that flick Nivin Pauly and Nazriya Nazim played the lead characters and we have to say that it was a film which gave importance to the woman character more than the male lead. That flick was a super success at box office and it was one among the series of successes Nivin had in last one and half years of his career.

Now the news came in that Jude Antony Joseph has finished the script on which he is working on for quite a time and he is planning to start the film with once again Nivin as the male lead. Report indicated that actor/director and writer Vineeth Sreenivasan will also do a key character in that film. Vineeth Sreenivasan was already a part of Jude Antony Joseph’s first film Om Shanthi Oshana and it will be his second outing too with this director. The screenplay of his first film was written by Midhun Manuel Thomas and for this as we said just above he himself penned down the screenplay.

Jude Antony Joseph also made an appearance as an actor as well in the recent super successful film from Alphons Puthran and Nivin Pauly team named Premam in which he played the role of dance master Dolly DCruz . He had been getting mixed reviews for his acting skills and he had already got many offers to act as well after that role. Jude said that it was always a dream for him to act in films and that is what happening now.

The latest offer he has got and he almost confirmed it as well is the role of a thief in the upcoming abrid shine directorial flick named Action Hero Biju which has Nivin Pauly as the male lead and the film was also in the news for the first financing venture of Nivin Pauly and Abrid Shine. Jude Antony hopes to do well in it and after that he will declare when his film is going to start rolling.

Social media targets Mammootty again

Mega star Mammootty is been the target of our social media circles for sometime now. There has been a lots of issue is happening around him which involves him too in that and all going in the wrong way possible for him to say the least. Sometime back it was the Ram Gopal Varma and so called Junior Artist usage issue which also involved his son Dulquer Salmaan in it and it was in fact started related to Dulquer and his Tamil release helmed by Mani Ratnam named OK Kanmani. But somehow it become a problem for Mammootty and he has been in the news for a while for that issue involving him, his son and Ram Gopal Varma.

Later another issue poped up and this time it is not about Junior artist but about serial artists. Yes it was an issue which had happened when Mammootty attended the television award function at Ankamaly which was organized by the Asianet Tele Communication. In that function Mammootty spoke some words which was a bit of criticism for the serial culture and the accusation came straight away in the social media that mammootty had insulted and spoke in an inappropriate manner about the serial artists and many serial artist and technicians came out and said that they never expected this from a man of Mammootty’s stature.

But that too somehow over and there comes another one. This time it included his friend and the universal star of Mollywood. Yes, Mohanlal it is and the problem is that when director Shaji Kailas has given an interview to an online page and in that as a reason of the shelving of his comeback project with Mohanlal and Mammootty in the lead he said that Mammootty said to him that he will not act with Mohanlal in that film. That too become a great issue in social media.

The last and latest one is that when Mammootty said in an anti smoking campaign that once he was a big smoker and used to smoke 100-120 cigarettes a day. Social took that and began to troll him whatever way they can. But now it seems so unfair to him. Because he had done many good deeds and charities for our society. But nothing makes a news like all of these bad ones.And now we have to see that how Mammootty going to react to all these activities against him in social media.

Nirnayakam is going to be a special one

VK Prakash directorial and masters of screenplay writing duo of Bobby and Sanjay written film named Nirnayakam which has Asif Ali in the lead is all set to grace our screens on this coming June 5 Friday and it already had raised the bar of hope among the film lovers with its fantastic trailer and the things they get to know about the flick. Some says this will be the best from Asif Ali till date and some says this will be V K Prakash’s best till now. And another section believes that Bobby-Sanjay had made an memorable cinematic experience with this one and everyone can watch and form their own opinion on this June 5, Friday.

But the latest Facebook post from director Rajesh Pillai who is known for his films like Traffic and the latest one Mili had raised the hope again about Nirnayakam. Rajesh Pillai who is a friend of the duo Bobby and Sanjay had the chance to watch the film in the editor’s suit and he told about it in his facebook post. Rajesh Pillai told in his facebook post that he had Watched the upcoming flick ‘Nirnayakam’ at the editor’s studio and had the rare experience of applauding a movie all by himself at the end of the film.

Rajesh Raman Pillai said that he cannot wait to watch this movie again in a packed theatre with a full audience and he is very excited about that prospect as well. He proudly says that he is very sure that everyone who sees it will have the same feeling that he did have after watching the film in editor’s studio. He in that post told that this is a movie that speaks out about a lot of things he always wanted to speak about as an ordinary citizen in our own society.

Rajesh pillai also said great words about the performances of artists in the flick as he said that the performances are mind blowing to say the least. He explains that Asif Ali has put in a career best performance in the flick and actor Prem Prakash was a real surprise package in a meaty role. He also said that Nedumudi Venu and actor Sudheer Karamana have proved that they are in a completely different league of acting with great performance. And about the director he said that V K Prakash’s aesthetic shines throughout the film. But the real star of the flick is its story line and he tells everybody to go and watch and he says that we will not feel that we had waster out time and money on a bad flick.

Suriya’s Masss fallen down in Kollywood too

Suriya starrer latest Kollywood flick directed by Venkat Prabhu had already bows down in front of the Malayalam release Premam in Kerala and it had already removed from many centers across Kerala. Sadly theater reports from Tamilnadu also shows that this flick had fallen down there too with complete negative reviews. The flick had got a great start there owing to the great fan base of Suriya there and it had collected rupees 17.5 crore in its opening weekend and the 3 collection was great.

But it had really failed to capitalize on the good start as the negative review spread all around and it fell down from making any impact at box office and not be able to break or create any box office records made by other stars in recent times in kollywood box office. Even though it had got a terrific opening that was not enough for Masss to beat the collection record in the opening weekends created by film like Kaththi starring Vijay, Linga starring Rajinikanth, Yennai Arinthal starring Ajith Kumar and I starring Vikram.

Ilaya thalapathy starrer Kaththi has earned rupees 40 cr from its first five days of theatrical run. Shankar- Vikram team’s I had got rupees 30 cr in its first 5 days as it did not get the tax exemption from the government due to its title. Super star Rajinikanth’s flick Linga stands in the second position after Kaththi with a gross over 31 crore from the first five days. And another film Thala Ajith’s Ennai Arinthal also grossed over 31 crores in the first five days leaving Masss behind at the bottom of the table.

The festival release helped Kaththi and I for sure but both had got great reviews as well from all around. The reviews which are negative has affected Mass in a bad way and it was the negative reviews that was really pulled down the film from its fantastic opening. Suriya has got great opening with his last film Anjan as well but that too failed to sustain that opening due to bad reviews all over. Mass seems to be a mass disappointment from the mass hero and mass director.

The biggest silver screen in south Indian with 4k double projection system will open in our capital city Trivandrum next week. Now the film lovers in Trivandrum can see the big budget Hollywood and Bollywood visual spectacle with all its perfection here at this biggest silver screen and the beauty of it could be enjoyed to its last drop here.

Athulya theater in the old SL complex had turned to this South India’s biggest digital maximum theater and it had cost almost rupees 15 crore to make it. And the makers claims it to be the best in India as well as the D MAX technology here is the latest version in India and the film lovers of Kerala will have the luck to experience it first in the whole country.  The old SL complex will be rebuild to become the Aries plus SL cinema Multiplex which will have 6 screens and the inauguration of three of those screens will be occurring here next week.

The biggest screen here will have 72 ft breadth and 30 ft height. In india 4K projection was only available at a theater in Thiruchirappally and now here at Trivandrum in our Aries plus multiplex it will have two 4k projection says the Managing director of Aries group, film maker Mr. B Unnikrishnan. The chairman of Aries group is Mr. Sohan Roy who is a film maker as well and they are the owners of Aries Vismaya Max studios as well. It will be the first ever multiplex of Trivandrum city as well.

Athulya will have 64 channel Atmos sound technology and it will be the first time in South India as well. And also the seating arrangements are made in such a way that people can watch the film by laying down as well. In other theaters there like athira and aswathy they had build 2K projection, a fabulous and big new silver screen and also latest 5.1 Sound system as well. The balcony of Athira theater will have only sofas from now on. And they planned to modernize Anjali theater as well and the work on that has already started says B Unnikrishnan.

Leaving behind Prithvi and Dulquer, Nivin marching forward

Prithviraj and Dulquer Salmaan is said to be the young super stars of Kerala or the ones who is going to get that title after Mohanlal and Mammootty. Suresh Gopi, Jayaram and Dileep had that for small periods but they had never able to hold on to that position for long and still the complete actor Mohanlal and the mega star Mammootty is the super duper stars of Mollywood and they are still the best in the business as well.

But our younger generation is showing some sparks to get there and we don’t know still that who is going to be that man clearly. But indications suggest that whether it may be for shorter period or for a longer period it is going to be Nivin Pauly who will be the next young star considering his recent continuous successes. Earlier it was said to be Prithviraj, Fahadh Fazil or Dulquer Salmaan as they had given some consistent hits and on the way to become a star. But Fahad off late faced continuous failures and Prithviraj’s releasing schedule seems to be terrible which made them both to pull out of the race may be for a shorter period. Dulquar had given some hits but not as big as given by Nivin.

Now Nivin Pauly is cruising forward with successes and it was in last year that he started the success trail of him with the success of Abrid Shine directorial flick named 1983. Then he gone forward with a rapid pace on the way till now he had in his credit 2 blockbusters and another one moving to blockbuster hit as well. Anjali Menon directorial multi-starrer Bangalore Days and debutant Prajith directorial flick Oru Vadakkan Selfie are the above mentioned two blockbuster hits of Nivin in last 18 months or so.

And the one which is moving to a blockbuster is Premam which released last Friday conceived by Alphonse Puthren who had the credit of giving a much needed hit to Nivin with his directorial debut Neram in 2013 which in fact the the one which really gave Nivin the much needed boost to cruise. Now there are many people in our industry and among the audience who believes that Nivin will reach to the level of a super star even before Prithviraj or Dulquer does so.

If you hear the remuneration ilaya thalapathy Vijay has got for his upcoming flick Puli directed by Simbu Devan you will stand wonder struck for a second. Yes it was that huge amount of money and it is said to be 20 crore rupees to be precise. And this is the highest payment ever received by Vijay in his career and the film is also said to be the biggest budget film in Vijay’s career till now which is said to be around 120 crore rupees. The flick is financed by P T Selva Kumar and Shibu Thameens of the Thameens film. Thameens films were the usual distributer of all vijay films in Kerala and also in some other South Indian states.

The difference between the budget of a tamil film and our Malayalam films is getting bigger and bigger each day passing. And it is now visible in the remuneration of the leading stars as well. Now Vijay is getting rupees 20 croes for a film and in our industry with that 20 crore rupees we can make a 4 super star films in Kerala and that big is the difference between both industries. The financial extravaganza had made tamil cinema one of the richest in Asia.

But that has negative sides too as the richness increases most of the films does not even have the quality with regard to its plot. Most of the kollywood films only seems to have some technical brilliance with the amount of cash flowing into the making and there is not much more. As per the assessment of trade guides and critics the quality is diminishing but the quantity is increasing.

In our Industry the most valuable star for almost 25 years is none other than Mohanlal. Mohanlal’s salary for a film is around 3.5 crore normally and if it is for big budget film he gets up to 5 crores as per reports. But still a normal Mohanlal film completes using around 5 crore rupees and a big budget film completes using around 10-12 crores. But in kollywood an actor’s salary itself now crossed rupees 20 crores and that is really a shocking difference.

Puli has Vijay in double role and two heroines are there for Vijay and they are Hansika Motwani and Kamal Haasan’s daughter Sruthi Haasan.

After Drishyam it is Premam which is cruising

Yesterday the 3 day collection report of the film Premam which is making waves at the box office had come on some media pages and it tells that the flick had collected rupees 4.82 crore rupees from theaters in Kerala. That means a share of 2.23 crores approximately. This was a great start for this film and one of the biggest in Mollywood this year and it surpassed the collection made by Nivin Pauly’s own Oru Vadakkan Selfie in its first 3 days. The weekend had given great boost to the film’s collection and it really going well as of now.

Premam is the film after which got great mouth publicity and great reviews from every corner after Mohanlal’s Drishyam which is now the biggest ever success to grace the silver screen of Mollywood doing a business of almost 65 crores from theaters all around and also ended up at getting almost 75 crore rupees from all sources of income. The 2nd best being Bangalore Days which had done a total business close to 35 crores. But it was a multi- starrer and not got such great and unanimous reviews like Drishyam and Premam had got.

Now people is looking forward to see that whether Premam can create any record in mollywood and for Nivin Pauly. It is close to imposible to break Drishyam record and be the numero uno of mollywood. But ity can really get the second spot overtaking banglore days if things gone well in the coming days.

The coming releases like Asif ali’s Nirnnayakam scripted by Bobby and Sanjay under the direction of VK Prakash and also Jaysurya Starrer Lukka chuppi can make the cruising of Premam a little bit slow. And also the monsoon season, opening of schools and also Ramzan fasting is also coming. When Ramzan fasting time comes the theaters in Malabar sides will be like deserts and it can weaken the cruising collection of this flick. But it will be a record breaker personally for Nivin pauly for sure and he is continuing his great form off late and waiting to get his first record breaker or record creator.

Yes the heroine of the teacher-student love track in the latest super success in Mollywood named Premam helmed by Alphonse Puthren and starred Nivin Pauly. And Sai Pallavi is the name of the actress who had done the role of Malar, that teacher in George’s second love story. The character of George is played by Nivin Pauly our young and rising star.

Before the release of the film no one even knows that the film had 3 heroines as the song which had released before the flick’s release gave glimpses of only one heroine named Anupama Paramesawarn and she had become highly popular with the success of that song as well as for her long curly hair. That time every youngsters waiting to see Anupama on screen. But after the film we can say surely that the one who got maximum number of followers was Sai Pallavi who was a real surprise for the audience who came to watch the flick.

Sai Pallavi had done a great job and her matured and natural performance will pave way for her to get more and more offers from all around South India. It was that good a performance from her and sometimes even Nivin Pauly was in her shadows as the performance was concerned. Even though the film tells a romantic story , more than a chocolate heroine she had the scope of doing something in the film and she also surprised the audience with her superb dancing skills as well.

After the success of Premam and her specially her character reports are coming in that Sai Pallavi is getting more and more offers from our industry and she deserves it as well. Sai Pallavi had thanked all the audience and those who supported and stood with her in this success.
