Actress Suhasini Maniratnam who is also the wife of director Maniratnam last day told in Chennai that a film should be reviewed or to write about films one should be qualified or he or/she have to be a qualified writer. She told it to the media people who came to the function at Chennai which was arranged for the pre-release promotion for Mani Ratnam’s upcoming flick OK Kanmani which will start to screen all over from this Friday.
Suhasini said that every aspect of a film is done by experts or qualified people who learned to do that particular aspect. There are various departments in a film and all is doing by the people who knows how to do it or they have learned those arts to do it perfectly. She said that film reviewing also be like that and the medias have to follow it as well.
Suhasini said that media have to make sure that those who writes about the film would be a qualifies person to do it and now- a-days anyone who have a computer or key board can become a film critic or film reviewer irrespective of the fact that whether they are qualified to do the job. Suhasini also said that this film has been made by qualified people like A R Rahman in music department, Dulquer Salmaan, Leela Samson and Nithya Menon etc in acting department, P C Sreeram in Cinematography department and ofcourse scripting and direction by the master Mani Ratnam himself.
She told that everybody in this film had done a wonderful job to make it a great experience and she requested the media to watch the film and write about it with honesty. Suhasini indirectly said about the online writers and pages which kills certain films with their writings and reviews and people tend to follow those writings thinking that those writings were done by qualified persons who have great knowledge about what they are doing. But the matter of fact is that even a person who knows nothing about film making and the nuances of film making can write about films and its details and sometimes criticize the masters of the game using their very little knowledge.
