Master new promo featuring Vijay and Malavika Mohanan released

The makers of ‘Master’ have released yet another promo video. The new features the lead pair, Vijay and Malavika Mohanan with the song ‘Andha Kanna Paathaakkaa’ in the background. It is a romantic track composed by Anirudh and sung by popular music director Yuvan Shankar Raja. Lyrics is penned by filmmaker Vignesh Shivn.

‘Master’ has Vijay playing a college professor in the film. Malavika also supposedly plays a faculty member. Vijay Sethupathi essays the villain role. Andrea Jeremiah, Shanthanu Bhagyaraj, Mahendran, Gouri G Kishan, Arjun Das, Ramya Subramaniam and many others are part of the supporting cast.

‘Master’ is scheduled for release on January 13 during the Pongal holidays. The film’s Telugu version is releasing simultaneously on the same day, while the Hindi dubbed version will be out on January 14. ‘Master’ release is expected to be a big commercial booster for the film industry that has been running on losses for almost a year now. Though the Tamil Nadu government had initially allowed 100% seating capacity in theatres, the Centre has instructed to revoke their decision and allow only 50% occupancy.

A new poster of Mohanlal’s upcoming film ‘Aarattu’ has just been released online. The superstar looks majestic in the poster as he sits royally on a chair. The film directed by B Unnikrishnan has Mohanlal plays a larger-than-life character named Neyyattinkara Gopan. Udhayakrishna has scripted the film as a mass-masala entertainer set in a rural backdrop.

As per the makers, ‘Aarattu’ is a proper entertainer film with action, comedy and all essential commercial ingredients in it. The makers have already assured that film will be devoid of misogynistic and caste-based discriminatory dialogues.

Popular South Indian actress Shraddha Srinath plays the female lead in the film. She will be seen playing the role of an IAS officer’s role. The elaborate supporting cast also includes Siddique, Sai Kumar, Nedumudi Venu, Indrans Vijayaraghavan, Swasika, Rachana Narayanankutty and Sheela.

Vijay Ulaganath is the cinematographer and edits are being handled by Shameer Muhammed. Rahul Raj is the music director. Shoot for the film is still progressing and it has been confirmed as a theatrical release.

As announced earlier, the makers of Simbu’s new film ‘Eeswaran’ have released the trailer online. The trailer is every bit as expected with typical hero elevation shots, action sequences, punch dialogues and all that is usually seen in a mass masala flick. The film written and directed by Susienthiran looks like a family entertainer set in a rural backdrop.

‘Eeswaran’ is highly anticipated by Simbu fans as it marks the star’s comeback after a long break. Prior to the film’s shoot, the actor had undergone a massive transformation by sheding oodles of weight. With a lean bearded look, the actor looks young and robust similar to his appearance in his early 2000 films.

‘Eeswaran’ has veteran filmmaker Bharathiraja playing an important role. Nidhi Aggarwal essays the female lead’s part. The film has Thaman handling the music department and Tirru in charge of cinematography. It is produced by Madhav Media and D Company. The film is scheduled for a grand Pongal release on January 14.

Vijay-Vijay Sethupathi starrer ‘Master’ is one of the most awaited South Indian films of the year. Though it was originally scheduled to hit screens in April, the makers were forced to push the release plans due to the pandemic. Finally, the film is set for theatrical release on January 13. The film is also getting dubbed and released in Telugu and Hindi. While the Telugu version is releasing simultaneously, the Hindi version is slated for release on the next day, January 14.

In Tamil Nadu, the film is set to release in a record number of screens. As it is the first major release in almost 8 months, expectations are huge among the industry insiders. Meanwhile in North India, the film will be releasing in over 500 screens. UFO Moviez, India’s largest digital cinema distribution network and in-cinema advertising platform will be releasing the film in Hindi, Tamil& Telugu across Central India, Rajasthan, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and East Punjab.

We had recently reported about Tovino Thomas and Kani Kusruti teaming up for director Sanal Kumar Sasidharan’s new film ‘Vazhakku’. Interestingly, the makers have completed the entire film’s shoot in just 15 days time. More details regarding the release plans are expected to be announced soon.

‘Vazhakku’ marks Tovino Thomas and Kani Kusruti’s first outing together as leads. Sudev Nair will be also be seen playing a main character in the film. D43: Dhanush’s next with Karthick Naren begins!

Dhanush’s new film with director Karthick Naren has started rolling today. The team is first shooting the opening song sung by lead actor Dhanush himself. GV Prakash is the composer and Vivek has penned the lyrics. Tentatively titled as ‘D 43’, this film is being produced by Sathya Jyothi Films. Karthick Naren has scripted the film and it has additional screenplay and dialogues by lyricist Vivek.

During the announcement of ‘D 43’, the makers had shared a poster which revealed an intriguing bit about the plot. It is centred around the death of an independent journalist, Gurumoorthy, and his wife in an accident, and how their elder son tries to solve the mystery behind the deaths. Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan are presenting the film under their banner of Rowdy Pictures. Last day, the film’s prologue teaser was shared by director Gautham Vasudev Menon on Twitter. He tweeted,

Titled ‘Neeye Marayukayaano’, it is a romantic track sung by Vineeth Sreenivasan and Haritha Balakrishnan. Manu Manjith has penned the lyrics. It is worth a mention that another romantic song, ‘Kamini’, from the same film was a big hit.

‘Anugraheethan Antony’ has Sunny and ’96’ fame Gouri Kishan as the leads. From the promos, the film promises to be a rom-com entertainer. Siddique, Indrans, Jaffer Idukki, Manikandan Achari, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Baiju and Muthumani are part of the supporting cast.

Within 12 hours of its release, the video has already notched up 18 million views and 2.4 million likes.

‘KGF: Chapter 2’ is eagerly awaited by cinephiles across the country after the huge success of the first part. The phenomenal reception for the teaser itself is a proof to the kind of expectations that the film ha. Prashanth Neel is directing the film that has Yash reprising his role of Rocky.
