Parvathy and Biju Menon in Aashiq Abu’s next production

Parvathy and Biju Menon are acting together for the first time. Popular cinematographer Sanu John Varughese is making his directorial debut with this film. It is being produced by Aashiq Abu’s OPM Dream Mill and Santhosh T Kuruvilla’s Moonshot Entertainment. As per trustworthy reports, shoot has already started.

Sharafudheen, Arya Salim and Saiju Kurup will also be seen in major roles in the film. G Srinivas Reddy is the cinematographer and music department will be handled by Neha Nair- Yakzan Gary Pereira duo. Filmmaker Mahesh Narayanan has been assigned as the editor.

Sanu John Varughese was the DOP of films like ‘Karthik Calling Karthik’, ‘Wazir’, ‘Jersey’ and the ‘Vishwaroopam’ series. In Malayalam, he has worked in ‘Take Off’, ‘Android Kunjappan’ and ‘Malik’. With such vast experience as a cinematographer, cinephiles are eagerly looking forward to see what Sanu has to offer as a filmmaker.

It is ‘Baahubali’ star Prabhas’ birthday today and social medias are abuzz with wishes from his fans and well wishers all across the globe. Celebs from other industries have also been wishing Prabhas. Malayalam superstar Mohanlal shared his birthday wishes for Prabhas through his Twitter handle.

On the special occasion of Prabhas’ birthday, the makers of his new film ‘Radhe Shyam’ had released a motion poster earlier in the day. A stylish looking Prabhas and lead actress Pooja Hedge feature in the motion poster. Directed by Radha Krishna Kumar, ‘Radhe Shyam’, is a period love story set in an European backdrop. Prabhas is said to be playing the role of a fortune teller in the film and Pooja Hegde is rumoured to play the part of a princess.

Prabhas has also committed for another mega budget project, which will be directed by Nag Ashwin of ‘Mahanati’ fame. Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan are also part of the film, which is scheduled to go on floors early next year.

Director Nithin Renji Panicker took to his social media handle to share a photo taken with Suresh Gopi from the sets today. ‘Kaaval’ is a highly anticipated film as it marks the veteran star’s comeback to mass genre after a very long gap. The film is basically an action-packed family drama.

Suresh Gopi plays a character named Thamban. Along with him, Renji Panicker will also be seen in a full-length character. The story is set in the high ranges of Idukki and spans across different timelines. The film has an elaborate cast comprising of Zaya David, Alencier Ley Lopez, IM Vijayan, Sujith Shankar, Kichu Tellus, Binu Pappu, Santhosh Keezhattoor, Muthumani, Pathamaraj Ratheesh and many others.

It is Rebel Star Prabhas’ birthday today and social medias are abuzz with wishes from his fans worldwide. On this special occasion, the makers of his new film ‘Radhe Shyam’ have released a motion poster online. A stylish looking Prabhas and lead actress Pooja Hedge feature in the motion poster. On the technical front, ‘Radhe Shyam’ has Manoj Paramahamsa as the DOP and ‘Dear Comrade’ fame Justin Prabhakaran as the music director. It is jointly produced by UV Creations and T-Series.

Suriya’s Soorarai Pottru release postponed

Suriya’s highly anticipated film ‘Soorari Pottru’ was scheduled to release in Amazon Prime Video on October 30. Much to the disappointment of the fans, the star has announced that release has been postponed. Since the film is set in the aviation industry, the makers are yet to obtain all the required no objection certificates (NOC) from the Indian Airforce, due to which the release has been pushed.

Suirya in a statement posted in his Twitter handle has written,

“When we started Soorarai Pottru we thought the only challenges we would face will be shooting at never-before-shot-locations, working with people of different languages and bringing in personnel with different skill sets to bring alive the magnificent world of Maara. Though easily said, it was a mammoth task to execute.

As you all know Soorarai Pottru is a story set in aviation industry. So we had to deal with numerous procedures and permissions, because it’s a matter of national security and we were dealing with real Indian Airforce aircrafts and security. A few new NOCs are still pending for approval, and we understand the wait is inevitable as this adverse time is demanding more and more focus on the nation and its priorities, than anything else!

Soorarai Pottru is a film very close to our hearts and we feel very passionately for this compelling and inspiring story. Unfortunately, the wait for the film’s release will now be a little longer than anticipated.

However what pains me is how eagerly my well-wishers were waiting for this but we seem to have no other option. I personally hope that my well wishers will take this in good spirit, with love and faith.”

The makers meanwhile have decided a new video song online. titled ‘Aagasam’ is composed by GV Prakash and sung by Christin Jons and Govind Vasantha of ‘Thaikkudam Bridge’. ‘Neruppu Da’ fame Arunraja Kamaraja has penned the lyrics.

The first look poster of Nayanthara’s new film ‘Netrikann’ has been released online. Milind Rau of ‘Aval’ fame is directing the film. It is being produced by Nayanthara’s boyfriend and promising filmmaker Vignesh Shivan. His banner Rowdy Pictures Pvt Ltd is backing the film.

Interestingly, ‘Netrikann’ is said to be the official remake of ‘Blind’, a popular Korean thriller film. It is about a talented woman cadet at the police academy who loses her eye sight after a horrific car accident. Years later, she solves a murder case with the help of her dog and her strong skills in detecting senses.

Kim Ha-neul played the lead role in ‘Blind’ and her performance was widely appreciated. She even bagged the Best Actress honors at the 48th Grand Bell Awards and the 32nd Blue Dragon Film Awards for her performance.

The makers of ‘Netrikann’ must have adapted the script to suit the sensibilities of the native Tamil audience. It is still a very challenging role for Nayanthara and it will be interesting to see how she performs it. The film has cinematography by RD Rajasekhar, music by Girishh and edits by Lawrence Kishore.

The makers of ‘Soorarai Pottru’ have released a new video song online. The song titled ‘Aagasam’ is composed by GV Prakash and sung by Christin Jons and Govind Vasantha. ‘Neruppu Da’ fame Arunraja Kamaraja has penned the lyrics. The visuals follow the protagonist’s efforts to start his own aircraft business.

‘Soorarai Pottru’ directed by Sudha Kongara is loosely based on the life of GR Gopinath, the founder of Air Deccan. In the film, Suriya essays a character named Nedumaaran Rajangam Maara, a common man hailing from Madurai who dreams of owning an aircraft business. Malayali actress Aparna Balamurali’s plays his wife’s part.

Paresh Rawal, Urvashi, Karunas, Vivek Prasanna, Kaali Venkat and Mohan Babu will be seen in other major roles. GV Prakash is composing the music and cinematography is done by Niketh Bommireddy. The film was scheduled to have its world premier in Amazon Prime Video on October 30, but it has now been delayed as the makers are yet to get the NOCs and clearances from the Indian Air Force and several other organizations.

He has now announced his comeback to social medias by releasing a video of his latest physical transformation. Though he doesn’t show his face, it is evident that he has lost a good amount of weight and sports a long beard. The video has glimpses of Simbu training in Kalari, practicing yoga and also indulge in classical dancing.

Simbu’s next to go on floors would be Suseenthiran’s film. This untitled film reportedly has Nidhi Aggarwal as the female lead. The makers are planning to begin shoot soon despite the pandemic-induced restrictions. ‘Maanadu’, on the other hand, is a big scale film that cannot be shot in a closed atmosphere. Venkat Prabhu is directing the film, which is a political drama. Kalyani Priyadarshan has been signed as the female lead.

Bheem Intro: RRR makers release special video on Jr NTR’s character

The makers of ‘RRR’ have released a special video on Jr NTR’s character in the film. He plays a real-life character named Komaram Bheem and today is apparently his 119th birth anniversary. ‘RRR’ directed by SS Rajamouli is about two freedom fighters, Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem who fought against the British Raj and the Nizam of Hyderabad, respectively.

While Jr NTR essays Bheem’s role, Ram Charan plays the part of Alluri Sitarama Raju. Bollywood superstar Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, Olivia Morris, Ray Stevenson, Alison Doody, Samuthirakani and many others are part of the cast. SS Rajamouli’s father KV Vijayendra Prasad has written the story of ‘RRR’. Rajamouli has penned the screenplay and dialogues are by Sai Madhav Burra and Madhan Karky.

The film is being made in various languages on a huge budget of over Rs 400 crores. It was originally scheduled to hit screens on January 8, 2021 but due to the pandemic that disrupted shoot, release is expected to be delayed by atleast 6 months.
