It’s a first in 16 years; Vineeth Sreenivasan shares video of his wife singing!

Vineeeth Sreenivasan is one of typical family guys who prefers to spend most of his time with his loved ones around. Vineeth lives in Chennai along with his wife Divya, and their two kids — Vihaan and Shanaya. Though Vineeth is an accomplished singer, it was not until his latest Instagram post that we knew that his wife can also sing pretty well. He has shared a lovely video of Divya singing the popular Ilayaraja number ‘Thendral Vanthu’ from ‘Avatharam’. Vineeth also wrote that it is the first time in 16 years that his wife is allowing him to record a video of her singing.

Vineeth married his long time girlfriend Divya Narayanan in October 2012, after an eight-year-long relationship. She was his junior at KCG College of Technology in Chennai. After five years of married life, the couple had a son Vihaan. Their daughter Shanaya was born last October.

On the work front, Vineeth was working on his directorial ‘Hridayam’ when the lockdown was announced. Shoot is currently stalled at the halfway stage. The film has Pranav Mohanlal and Kalyani Priyadarshan in the lead roles. Vineeth has taken real-life inspirations to script this film. Major portions of the film have been shot in the same college in which Vineeth and Divya studied.

Times 50 Most Desirable Men 2019: Dulquer Salmaan becomes the only Malayalam actor to feature in the top 10

Every year, Times group conducts a survey to find the Top 50 Most Desirable Men. The votes are submitted online and along with that, the internal jury decides the final list. The list for the year 2019 has been published. Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor has topped the list this year. He is followed by Ranveer Singh at the second position.

Dulquer Salmaan is the only Malayalam actor to feature in the top 10 of the list. He holds the 6th position this year, which is a remarkable jump from last year’s 9th. Telugu star Vijay Deverakonda, who is ranked 3, is the only other South Indian actor in the top 15. Dulquer, Prithviraj Sukumaran and Nivin Pauly are the only Malayali actors in the list. Prithviraj holds the 23rd position while Nivin is placed at the 40th position.

Malayalam actor Tovino Thomas is well known as a fitness freak. Guess it comes from his genes. The actor recently shared a photo of him and his dad from the gym. Both of them look ripped but it’s the father who grabs the all eyeballs with his twirled moustaches and overall ‘mass’ appearance. Tovino’s father Ellikkal Thomas is an advocate based in Irinjalakuda.

Tovino has been maintaining a well built physique ever since he started his career. During the lockdown phase, he has been working out rigorously. He even had a gym set up built at his home where he practices regularly. He also shares photos and videos about his fitness routine with his followers.

On the work front, Tovino is expected to resume shooting for his superhero film ‘Minnal Murali’ once the Corona-crisis is over. ‘Ajayante Randaam Moshanam’, ‘Kala’, ‘Pallichattambi’, ‘Bhoomi’ and ‘563 St Charles Street’ are some of his other announced projects. His next to release will be the much-delayed ‘Kilometers and Kilometers’. The film is set for direct television premiere in Asianet this Onam.

Indrajith Sukumaran finishes dubbing for Kurup

Dulquer Salmaan starrer ‘Kurup’ has been in the making for over a year. The film was supposed to release earlier this year during the Eid season but due to the virus outbreak, it got delayed. The makers are currently with the final stages of post-production. Indrajith Sukumaran has just completed dubbing for his portions. The actor himself took to his social media handle to share a photo from the dubbing studio.

Directed by Srinath Rajendran, ‘Kurup’ is based on Kerala’s most wanted criminal, Sukumara Kurup. While Dulquer plays the titular role, Indrajith will be seen as a cop, who leads the investigation. Tovino Thomas, Sunny Wayne, Sobhita Dhulipala, Shine Tom Chacko. Vijayaraghavan, Surabhi Lekshmi and many others are also part of the cast.

‘Kurup’ has its story written by Jithin K Jose while screenplay is penned jointly by KS Aravind and Daniel Sayooj Nair. On the technical front, cinematographer Nimish Ravi of ‘Luca’ fame, music director Sushin Shyam, art director Vinesh Bangalan and editor Vivek Harshan form the core team.

Fahadh Faasil’s C U Soon gears up for release on Amazon Prime!

During the lockdown days, Fahadh Faasil had teamed up with Mahesh Narayanan for an experimental project. The film has been titled an ‘C U Soon’ and it is now getting ready for release. It will be streaming directly in Amazon Prime from September 1.

‘C U Soon’ is shot completely in closed spaces with minimal crew. The story revolves around three individuals and interestingly, these characters will not be seen together. Their conversations will be over phone and video calls. While Fahadh plays one of these characters, the other two are essayed by Roshan Mathew and Darshana Rajendran. The film will have a duration of around 90-95 minutes.

The project got initiated when director Mahesh Narayanan was discussing an idea with Fahadh Faasil about redesigning a whole film on an edit table. Mahesh pitched a script and Fahadh was impressed by it. First they did a test shoot and after the rough edit came out, Fahadh became confident and took up the production.

It is a first of its kind attempt in Malayalam, so many are looking forward to it. The trailer, which will be out soon, is expected to give a clear picture of the film.

Rajeev Ravi cranks camera for Akshay Kumar’s Bell Bottom

Akshay Kumar’s new film ‘Bell Bottom’ went on floors last day. Shoot commenced in London, a glimpse of which has been shared by the star in his social media handle. The film directed by Ranjit M Tewari is the official remake of the hit Kannada film of the same name.

Malayali cinematographer Rajeev Ravi will be handling the visuals in ‘Bell Bottom’. The ace DOP is well known for his recurring collaboration with Anurag Kashyap. ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’, ‘Dev D’ and ‘Udta Punjab’ are some of his most popular works in Bollywood. It will be interesting to see what kind of visual styling he brings in for this film.

Along with Akshay Kumar, ‘Bell Bottom’ also has an elaborate supporting cast comprising of actors like Huma Qureshi, Vaani Kapoor and Lara Dutta. It is said to be Bollywood’s first film to shoot at an international location after the nationwide lockdown. The film is jointly produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh, Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani and Nikkhil Advani.

Nenjame: Check out the latest song from Sivakarthikeyan’s Doctor

The makers of Sivakarthikeyan’s upcoming film ‘Doctor’ have released a new video song online. The track titled ‘Nenjame’ is sung and composed by Anirudh Ravichander. Mohanrajan has penned the lyrics. The song set in the backdrop of a relation breakup features the two lead actors — Sivakarthikeyan and ‘Gang Leader’ fame Priyanka Arul Mohan. Since it is shot in black and white format, it is most likely to be just a promo song.

‘Doctor’ is written and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar of ‘Kolamaavu Kokila’ fame. Vinay and Yogi Babu will be seen in crucial roles in the film. Vijay Karthik Kannan of ‘Aadai’ fame is the cinematographer and R Nirmal is the editor. Sivakarthikeyan himself is producing the film under his banner SK Productions. KJR Studios will be presenting it.

Shoot for the film is yet to be completed. The final schedule is expected to begin as soon the pandemic situation gets better.

This new film is not exactly a sequel but has been conceived as a franchise model film that will feature Salman playing an undercover cop who poses as a bhai to crack the underworld nexus.

‘Maniyarayile Ashokan’ starring Jacob Gregory in the lead is said to be a fun rom-com set in a rural backdrop. Anupama Parameswaran, Anu Sithara, Shritha Sivadas, Nayana Elza, Shine Ton Chacko and Krishna Shankar are also part of the supporting cast.

Debutant Shamsu Zayba is directing the film and it is scripted by Vineeth Krishnan. Though the makers are yet to officially announce it, talks in social medias suggest that film will be releasing directly in Netflix on August 31.
