Prabhas’ stylish new look for Saaho goes viral in social medias!

Shoot for Baahubali star Prabhas’ Saaho commenced fee weeks back and the actor joined the team recently. Saaho, directed by Sujeeth is a big budget multilingual also starring a host of renowned actors from across the country. It is Prabhas’ first film out of the Baahuabli series in five years.

Prabhas is now popular nation wide courtsey the humongous success of Baahubali. To cash in on his huge popularity, the makers are releasing the film in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi languages. He sports an extremely stylish look for the movie. The actor recently shared a photo which revealed the latest look that he sports for Saaho. After the release of Baahuabli 2: The Conclusion, Prabhas had trimmed down his weight to have a leaner physique in Saaho.

The makers of Saaho are roping in actors from various industries to give it a pan Indian appeal. Bollywood diva Shraddha Kapoor is playing the female lead in the movie. Bollywood star Neil Nithin Mukesh, Chunky Pandey, Jackie Shroff and promising Tamil actor Arun Vijay are playing prominent roles in the movie.

Saaho is being produced by Vamsi Krishna Reddy and Pramod Uppalapati under the banner of UV Creations. Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy is handling the music department and renowned cinematographer R Madhie is wielding the camera. International stuntman Kenny Bates, famous for his works in Hollywood films like Die Hard and Transformers has been roped in to choreograph the high octane stunts in Saaho.

The film will be shot extensively in Hyderabad, Romania, Abu Dhabi and locations across Europe. Saaho is expected to hit screens only by the end of next year.

Geetu Mohandas congratulates Njandukalude Naattil Oridavela team for their success!

Njandukalude Naattil Oridavela, Nivin Pauly’s second outing this year, was released yesterday in a huge number of centres all across Kerala. The movie directed by debutant Althaf Salim has opened to largely positive response from the critics as well as the common audience. Critics have given a clean family entertainer tag for the movie.

Actress-turned-filmmaker Geetu Mohandas recently took to her Facebook page to congratulate the team of Njandukalude Naattil Oridavela for their success. She is making her directorial debut in Malayalam with Moothon starring Nivin Pauly in the lead. Geetu, in her note has mentioned that Nivin will be seen in a totally different avatar in her movie. Her Facebook post reads,

After a long time saw a FDFS of a film – Njandugalde naatil oru edevela with their cast and crew . A group of young talented guys brimming with excitement and anticipation. Their energy is infectious. I want to congratulate the team for their stupendous success at the box office. Now more than ever I can’t wait for people to see Nivin in a completely opposite avatar from his comfort zone in MOOTHON…. (sic).

Earlier director Vysakh, well known for delivering the historic blockbuster Pulimurugan, also praised Althaf Salim and his team. Vysakh found Althaf’s filmmaking style very mature and appreciated him for his debut work.

Njandukalude Naatil Oridavela is the story of an upper middle class Christian film. Veteran actors Lal and Shanthi Krishna play Nivin Pauly’s parents. Srinda Arhaan, Njan Steve Lopez fame Ahanaa Krishna, Dileesh Pothan, Saiju Kurup, Premam actors Sharafudheen, Siju Wilson and Krishna Sankar are also part of the supporting cast.

The movie is scripted jointly by Althaf Salim and George Kora. Newcomers Mukesh Muraleedharan and Justin Varghese have handled the cinematography and music department respectively.

Njandukalude Naatil Oridavela is Nivin Pauly’s second production venture after the superhit Action Hero Biju. He has funded the movie under his banner Pauly Jr Pictures. E4 Entertainment has distributed the movie in Kerala.

Telugu superstar Jr NTR thanks Mohanlal..!!

Yesterday was the first anniversary of Telugu blockbuster Janatha Garage. Lead actor Jr NTR took to his Twitter space to thank Mohanlal and all his cast and crew members for the movie’s success. Janatha Garage, directed by Kortala Siva is a mass entertainer in which Mohanlal and Jr NTR played the major roles.

Mohanlal played the role a do-gooder Sathyam, who runs a garage where people knock the doors for any help. The actor delivered a subtle yet powerful performance, something which was rarely seen in Telugu movies. His performance in Janatha Garage was one of the three movies that were considered when he won the National Special Jury award.

Upon its release, Janatha Garage registered the highest opening for a Telugu film in 2016 and is the third highest Telugu opening of all time. The movie emerged as a massive blockbuster and went on to break several box office records. It was also dubbed and released in Hindi and Malayalam. The movie successfully entered the elite 100 crore club. The success of Janatha Garage won Mohanlal scores of fans in the Telugu speaking states. His popularity in Tollywood inspired the makers of Pulimurugan to dub the movie in Telugu.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Nithya Menen played the two female leads in Janatha Garage. Other supporting actors included Unni Mukundan, Devayani, Saikumar, Suresh and Rahman among others.

Dulquer Salmaan’s Bollywood debut movie titled as Karwan; Shoot starts in Ooty!

We had recently reported about Dulquer Salmaan foraying to Bollywood with a Ronnie Screwvala production. The makers have titled the movie as Karwan and shoot has commenced today in Ooty. Some photos from the movie’s location is seen doing the rounds in social medias.

Karwan marks the directorial debut of noted actor/theatre personality Akarsh Khurana. Reportedly, the movie is a light hearted entertainer which traces the story of two friends, who come from different background. Dulquer Salmaan is playing one of the lead roles along with ace actor Irrfan Khan.

The actors will be traveling across Ooty and Kochi for a month-long schedule. Mithila Palkar, noted for performance in the popular web serirs Girl in the City is making her feature film debut with this movie. The characters of Irrfan Khan, Mithila Palkar and Dulquer are from different walks of life who come together at one juncture of their lives. Interestingly, there is no pair for Dulquer’s character in the movie.

Akarsh Khurana is noted for his scripts like Humshakals and Krrish 3. He has co-written the script of Karwan with Hussain Dalal, the dialogue writer of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and 2 States.

The makers had initially approached Abhishek Bachchan to play Dulquer’s part but he pulled out due to date issues. Dulquer will be seen as a Bengaluru based guy in the movie. His character is a sweet yet serious kind of person. It is a slice of life kind movie with much prominence to realistic humour.

Dulquer, meanwhile is awaiting the release of two of his movies – Bejoy Nambiar’s Tamil-Malayalam bilingual Solo and Soubin Shahir’s Parava, both scheduled to release in September.
