His last success was Swapna Sanchari directed by Kamal in 2011. Later a film named Lucky Star directed by Deepu Anthikkad had got decent reviews but failed to create any impact at box office. Anyway the good going of Aadu Puliyattam is really a sigh of relief for Jayaram and it once again proves that if he get a decent screenplay, he is still a decent crowd puller here in Mollywood.

Mohanlal-Murali Gopi to team up for Ashirvad Cinemas next year

Murali Gopi, son of one of the greatest actor ever graced Indian Cinema, late Bharath Gopi, is now one of the most prominent screen writers in Mollywood. He is a popular actor as well. He had given us some great films like Left Right Left and Ee Adutha Kalathu as writer, both directed by Arun Kumar Aravind. His upcoming film will be Tiyaan starred by Prithviraj and Indrajith, which will be directed by Kanchi fame Jiyen Krishna Kumar.

Now, a report coming from the industry that, after Tiyaan, Murali Gopi will start writing the screenplay for none other than the complete actor Mohanlal and it will be produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Ashirvad Cinemas.

The project will start next year and the other details regarding this project will be updated later. Earlier Murali Gopi and Late Rajesh Pillai had planned a project named Lucifer for Mohanlal. Ashirvad Cinemas was all set to produce that film as well. But the unfortunate demise of Rajesh Pillai rang the last bell for that project also.

Murali Gopi is one of the most powerful writers in Mollywood and everyone is sure that only he can write a powerful and challenging character for Mohanlal who is known for his beyond the world acting skills. Mohanlal can pull off any character with absolute ease and making a character which challenges him as an actor is very difficult. If anyone in the current generation of writers can do it, then it will be Murali Gopi for sure.

Poi Maranju Parayathe Review

Poi Maranju Parayathe Review

Poi Maranju Parayathe is the film released on this Thursday in Mollywood. The film had released with the claim that it is the last film of late actor Kalabhavan Mani. Earlier another film named Yathra Chodikkathe also released with the same claim here in Mollywood and ended up as a disaster. Martin C Joseph had directed this film and the main characters in this film is played by artists like Gautham, Maqbool Salman, Kalabhavan Mani, Babu Raj, Vimala Raman etc. The film is of 129 minutes length and it is a family drama. Pradheep Sivasankar had wrote the screenplay of this movie.

This film had completed its filming in 2012. But the flick not got the chance to hit the screens. The title of the film at that time was Turning Point. After the death of Kalabhavan Mani, they changed the title and released the film using his name. The plot of this movie revolves around the unnatural deaths and murders that happened in an ancient home in Kerala. After 20 years some other incidents happens related to those events that had happened in the past. The film progresses from there.

Turning point malayalam movie, Poi Maranju Parayathe, Poi Maranju Parayathe review, kalabhavan mani last movie,

First thing first. The director had failed miserably to hold the audience glued to their seats. The screenplay was very weak without any purpose and there is nothing in the movie which can keep the audience engaged. It was like insulting some good actors by making them portray some terrible characters. Even the technical side was total failure. Editing was poor as there was no connection and continuity between scenes. Camera work was also not up to the mark. The only plus point was a song sung by Kalabhavan Mani, which was tuned by Vidhyadharan Master.

The film lags a lot and it will test your patients for sure. They had tried to tell the story in the background of some superstitions and wrong rituals that has been prevalent in our society. But nothing had reached to the mind of the audience due to the poor narration and unimaginative direction. Dialogues will make you remember some Television serials as well.

Turning point malayalam movie Poi Maranju Parayathe

The performances from actors also too bad. Gautham who played Vinayan and Maqbool Salman who played the character Jo were really struggled to make their characters convincing with their performance. Even Kalabhavan Mani was not at his best playing the character named Rahulan Master. Vimala Raman’s performance was too artificial as well. Other artists like Mala Aravindan, Urmila UnnI, Babu Raj, Lakshmi Sharma, Kalashala Babu, Kulappulli Leela, Kaviyoor Ponnamma, Meghanathan etc were done whatever they got decently.

On the whole, Poi Maranju Parayathe is a disastrous attempt to make a horror family thriller. They tried to include elements like romance, revenge etc as well to make it more entertaining. But the poor screenplay and bad direction had made it a futile effort. They showed the videos from Kalabhavan Mani’s cremation after the interval of the film. It was more or less insulting Kalabhavan Mani and trying to cash in on the sentiments that Malayalees had towards Kalabhavan Mani.

Happy Wedding Review

Happy Wedding Review

Happy Wedding, the Malayalam movie which released on May 20 has come from a young team. The film is directed by debutant Omar and screenplay is written by Sandeep Mundoor. KC Maneesh and Praneesh Vijayan had wrote the dialogues for this flick. The film got the attention from the audience due to its star cast first. The major characters in this film is played by Siju Wilson, Sharafudeen, Soubin Shahir, Justin etc and they are very familier to Malayali audience through the blockbuster film Premam. Eros International had distributed this film all over Kerala and the flick has been produced by Nazir Ali.

The plot of the film revolves around a group of friends played by Siju Wilson, Sharafudeen, Justin, Soubin Shahir etc. Harikrishnan, played by Siju Wilson is the central character of this movie. He is a civil engineer and the film opens with his efforts to propose a girl with whom he is working. His cousin Manu Krishnan played by Sharafudeen is always with him and he is a playboy kind of character as well. The film shows us Hari’s efforts to make his love story success with the help of his friends and also gives us the glimpse of what happened in his college life when the character played by Soubin Shahir appears on screen, who is a motivation speaker.

We have to say that this debutant Omar had given a fantastic entertainer for the youngsters here in Kerala. The film is a hilarious one and it’s a laugh riot to say the least. Each and every scene in this movie is filled with some comedy or the other and the director had made a fabulous effort to make each and every part of the movie interesting. The dialogues were the highlight of this film as each and every oneliners making the audience to laugh their heart out. The college life and the incidents at college was shot superbly and the screenplay was an interesting one as well with superb situations to create romance and comedy.

Performance from artists was the backbone of this film. Siju Wilson had done a great job as Hari who is lover boy or Prema Rogi in the language of Manu Krishnan, his cousin. He looked promising in comedy and romance as he performed each scene with a cool head. Sharafudeen was the real show stealer of this flick as he got great applause from the audience every time he opened his mouth to say the least. His counter punches and oneliners were so hilarious and natural. He just created laugh in the cinema hall with his mere looks and smile at places.

Soubin Shahir was the another great performer in this film. Artists like Justin, Abi, Anu Sithara, Sudhi Koppa, Saiju Kuruppu, Kalabhavan Niaz, Ambika Mohan, Thesni Khan, Sivaji Guruvayoor, Vinod Kovoor etc also did a great job in this flick. Specially, in a scene in the low floor KSRTC bus, Saiju Kuruppu, Kalabhaavan Niaz, Soubin Shahir, Siju Wilson and Sharafudeen was at their comic best. Arun Muraleedharan’s songs were decent and Vimal TK had given great background score for the film. Sinu Sidharth also given decent visuals for this romantic-comedy.

Happy Wedding is an absolute fun film which will make you relax to the core. This will make you laugh your heart out in the theaters and you will feel more lighter when you come out from the cinema halls. As the title suggests, it’s like a happy celebration of love and fun. Just enjoy it with your friends.
