Dileep to become Legend

Popular actor Dileep is now on a comeback trail after a series of not so well received films and he had made a great comeback through the film named Chandrettan Evideya which was helmed by Sidharth Bharathan. It was released in this year May and become a success at box office as well as amassed great critical appreciation as well. Through that film people had got the chance to see Dileep in a natural avatar rather than in some clumsy characters which had really made the audience to stay away from the theaters running a Dileep film. Later he had done a film directed by Sreebala K Menon named Love 24×7 which has got decent critical appreciation but not become a great success in box office. Still as an actor Dileep got good reviews for his performance in the movie and that is a gain for.

Now he is getting ready for a terrific comeback to rule the Mollywood box office with a handful of big films to his credit. One of them is reported as directed by hit maker Jomon who had given us films like Samrajyam and Jackpot. The flick has been titled as The Legend and Dileep will do a mass character of a government pleader in this film.

According to the report he will have 3 female leads opposite him in this flick and the film will have all the elements of a mass entertainer like comedy, romance and high voltage action. Apart from Dileep actor Rajeev Pillai will also play a key role in this upcoming flick and that too of a police officer’s character. The music for this mass film will be created by Gopi Sundar and they are all set to start its filming in this coming October.

Dileep had lots of ambitious projects coming up just like Life of josootty which is ready for release in September helmed by Mega director Jeethu Joseph and then comes the film directed by Shafi which filming now at Canada. Then comes The Legend and also another big film named King Liar coming out from the reunion of Siddique and Lal combination.

Salman Khan starrer film by Kabir Khan named Bajrangi Bhaijaan continues its dream run at Box office all over the world and it is going like a bullet towards becoming the industry hit in Indian cinema history. As per the declaration of the official collection report of the film it had already crossed the Aamir Khan starred flick Dhoom 3 in its total gross collection and now comfortably placed at the no. 2 position at the table of the highest grosser of all time in Indian cinema history. Now there is only one film in front of Bajrangi Bhaijaan to overcome and that is Aamir Khan starrer flick named PK directed by Raj Kumar Hirani which released last year and it had got a life time gross over 740 cr rupees from theaters worldwide.

Dhoom 3 was at the first position before the release of PK and dhoom 3 had got a life time gross close to 540 cr rupees from worldwide run. But Bajrangi Bhaijaan need only 15 days to break that record and now it had grossed more than 540 crores as per the latest report on its collections from worldwide run. And going by this rate of collection it will not be a hard task for this flick to cross Pk as well within a week or two.

The flick which told the story based on Indo-Pak relation as well as the people of their got great reviews from the very first show itself and its word of mouth had grown day by day and the business began to increase with it. Even now after 15 days of its release it is still doing fantastic business on Saturday and Sunday and on week days it maintains a healthy and steady collection.

Baahubali which had released a week before this had got record collection and still this Salman Khan starrer crossed Baahubali with ease within the time space of 4-5 days and left the magnum opus behind in total gross. Interestingly the story of both those films were done by the same person name KV Vijayenra Prasad.

Drishyam Hindi version is getting strong at box office

The Hindi version of the Industry hit of Malayalam cinema named Drishyam has released all over last Friday with the same title starring Ajay Devgun, Sreya Saran, Ishita Dutta, Tabu and Rajat Kapoor had took a steady opening at box office and as per reports the flick had showed a growth in its collection on its second day that too almost 17% growth from its first day collections at box office. On the opening day it had got almost 8.05 crore added to the preview shows on Thursday and on the second day it had collected rupees 9.40 crore and made a grand total of 17.45 crore in two days from India alone.

The growth in collection is because of the fantastic mouth Publicity which the film is got from its very first show and it is now almost sure that this one will be a super success in Hindi too. The flick has been a huge hit in all the languages in which it has been remae which include Kannada, Tamil and Telugu and now the Hindi version too. In Kannada and Telugu actors like Ravi Chandran and Venkitesh had done the male leads and in Tamil and Hindi it was Kamal Hasan and Ajay Devgun.

But the interesting fact is that no one can reach up to what Mohanlal had done in the original Malayalam version of the film. Only Kamal Hasan done that to a level near to the perfection which Mohanlal had given to the central character. Even the national medias in their reviews suggesting this point and they are saying that never compare the remade version of Drishyam with the original one.

According to them what makes Drishyam from its original version to its remade versions is the presence of Mohanlal. He is been such a fantabulous actor that no one can even dream of doing a character with the precision an perfection in which he does and the god given gift of pure naturality he brings in was beyond the reach of other actors in the country today.

Even Ajay Devgun had said that he did not watched the original version only because Mohanlal had done it. If that was done by any other actor then he should have watched it to correct the mistakes and make that character portrayal without blemishes. But it was Mohanlal who did it and there no perfection of that character was possible beyond what he did and ajay said that he even has fear in his mind that he may get influenced by the performance of Mohanlal as that character.

They had coming again after the success of Neelakasham Pacha Kadal Chuvanna Bhoomi and the film will be financed by the trio of Ashiq Usman, Shyju Khalid and Sameer Thahir under their own production company named Handmade films and their first venture was released this year named Chandrettan Evideya helmed by Sidharth Bharathan and starred Dileep. That was a successful film as well.

This upcoming Dulquer Salmaan-Sameer Thahir film is untitled and now they want a lady to play the lead role in this flick. They had alreay posted an advertisement as a casting call for this flick. Bollywood Super star Shahrukh Khan is in the news from B-town all the time and there is another one about him which is some sort of a big one. The news is that Shahrukh Khan had turned down the offer to act in a double hero subject in a Hollywood film and that too along with none other than Jackie Chan.

Hollywood studio had planned the flick and they had confirmed that Jackie Chan will be the one hero in the film. For the role of the second hero the reportedly approached Shahrukh Khan as they want a B-town star to play that role and also who can match up to the energy level that Jackie Chan shows on screen. But much to the surprise of all Shahrukh Khan had denied the offer to act in that film and that may be because of his tight schedule.

This is not the first time that Shahrukh Khan turned down the Hollywood project as years before he had turned down the offer from director Danny Boyle to act in the film Slumdog Millionaire and later that character had played by Anil Kapoor. Mammootty’s upcoming release is Utopiayile Rajavu and it will reach to theaters near you in this coming Onam season. Mammoottys own Playhouse Release is distributing the film and is now in its post-production stage. Actor Joy Mathew is playing a key role in this film and that is of Mammootty’s father. The interesting thing is that Joy Mathew is younger than Mammootty and another interesting info also is there that Joy Mathew had played the father character of Dulquer Salmaan in Neelakasham Pacha Kadal Chuvanna Bhoomi as well. It is a unique opportunity for him to play the father character of both Mammootty and Dulquar in two different movies. Joy Mathew said that he had played the father-in-Law character of Mohanlal as well in Joshiey directorial film Lailaa O Lailaa as well.

In Utopiayile Rajavu Mammootty is playing the character of CP Swathanthran who is the son of the earlier Panchayath President of the village named Kokrankara. It is an imaginary village. When his father dies one of the relative of his took all the properties of his father illegally. So CP Swathanthran is all set to fight against it legally and through strikes. For that purpose he comes to secretariat in Trivandrum as well.

The flick has been directed by Kamal an written by PS Rafeeq who is famous for his screenplay for the film by Lijo Jose Pellissery title as Amen. This film Utopiayile Rajavu is telling the story through balck comedy as well as in a satirical manner. Along with Mammootty actors like Joy Mathew, Sunil Sugatha, Sreekumar, Indrans, Sasi Kalinga, etc playing important roles and the female lead was played by Jewel Mary who was made her debut as Mammootty’s heroine in the film named Pathemari directed by Salim Ahammed which is yet to release in theaters. She is playing the character of an activist named Uma in this film.

Haseeb Haneef and Noushad Alathur finance this flick under the banner of Grand film corporation. Dop is Neil D’cunha and music was given by ousepachan. Suresh Kollam is the art director of the flick.

As you all know Loham is the most awaited film of this Onam season in Mollywood and by seeing the craze and reach the film is getting in social media circle it seems that other are only competing in this Oanm race for the second spot only as Loham carries a sure bet status with it and that is due to two names associated with it and they are Mohanlal and Ranjith. The film is in the news right from the moment of its announcement as it was really a surprise project that came from nowhere.

There was no news prior to that of any kind which said that there will be a Mohanlal-Ranjith film this year. It was very surprising that not even rumour makers not got anything about it before its announcement. There was a talk about a Mohanlal-Mammootty project directing by Shaji Kailas which will be scripted by both Ranjith and Renji Panicker, but no news about Ranjith directorial Mohanlal film.

But that came out and when the shooting has begun it again came into news as it is said to be an action thriller from Ranjith after long years. He had changed his tastes from making those commercial potboilers to making more realistic cinematic experiences. But this time he penne down an action thriller with Mohanlal. And the expectation raised when the first look of Mohanlal had come and he is with his moustache twirled made the film lovers crazy and the stills from the film went viral in Facebook and Whatsapp. Only Mohanlal can create that sort of Frenzy in Mollywood only with a first look poster.

Everybody is now waiting for the trailer or teaser of the film to get more and more excitement prior to the release. But a rumor is spreading that there will not be any trailer and teaser for the film an fans and film lovers had to wait till August 20th to see what the film has in store for all. There is also reports that Ranjith had said to film lovers that please don’t come to theaters expecting a mass film like Narasimham or Aaram Thamburaan. Loham is not a film like that and it is a thriller told in a more classy way.
