Again online fake news drama against Mohanlal

0

Mohanlal..It is not just a name for Malayalees and film lovers of Kerala. It is also an emotion, a habit and a personified form of completeness for them. They love him not just as an actor. He is like a sweet lovable and bankable brother and that is why they call him with all their love as “Lalettan”. Mohanlal is considered the greatest living actor in India today along with the Great Kamal Hassan. And he is also the most popular Malayalee outside Kerala as well. As star his fan power and star value is on sky high and no other actor in Kerala even come closer to him in this regard. So there should be the chance of professional jealousy or some enemity towards him from those who cannot tolerate people’s love towards Mohanlal.

Mohanlal has been the person who has been attacked the most by some online pages and other lunatics. Now the latest one in this series of attacks is on his Lalisom music band which is going to launch on this January 31st along with the inaugural function of National games 2015 that is been held in Kerala. But some online pages and web sites published a news that Mohanlal had demanded rupees 2 crore from the government to perform at the national games inaugural function along with his music band Lalisom. They also said that Mohanlal had started that band to glorify himself. But the real fact came out later. The officials of Lalisom band and other government sources revealed that Mohanlal had not demanded anything for performing at the inaugural function and also not received any money in advance as the fake news published by a cheap website. The fake news was also spread by some people who had grudges against Mohanlal.

Lalisom is a band created to present us a musical journey through the 36 long year career of Mohanlal. Mohanlal has been second only to Prem Nazeer who had the fortune to act in most number of popular and evergreen songs ever made in Mollywood and the band created to travel through that songs and present it to malayalees in a new way. Many new comers are singing in this band along with Mohanlal. The promo song of the band had been released few days back and it is already a hit. And some people with the help of some online pages and also with the help of a caucus trying to degrade Mohanlal and everything he does. Mohanlal had already lodged a complaint in the cyber cell about this fake and troll pages and even one page was removed by facebook some days back.

Anyway this was not good for malayalam cinema and a shame for all malayalees that the greatest actor they have, been consistently insulted by a group of person and pages and its high time that we have to react against these kind of filthy activities and stand against those online lunatics.

Rasam Review

0

Rasam, is the new release in Mollywood today directed by Rajeenath and Indrajith playing the lead role in the film. But the film is in the news for the cameo role of none other than the Universal star Mohanlal in the film. Mohanlal played as himself in the film after Manu uncle and Kadak Kadannoru Mathukkutty. Rajeevnath is renowned director who had won the national award for best actor and whose films always get great critical receptions. But after coming to the 21st century he does not able to keep his own standard and delivered not so good films recently. His last film which got great critical reception was Pakal Nakshatrangal starring Mohanlal, Suresh Gopi and Anoop Menon. It was Anoop Menon’s first film as script writer too. Rajive Nath’s last outing was also end in failure which was David And Goliathwith Anoop menon and Jayasurya in the lead roles.

This film Rasam does not have much pre-release promotion as its only attraction was the extended cameo role of Mohanlal. There was not much expectations on the film as well. The story of the film is rather a simple one which revolves around the character of Indrajith who comes in to UAE to make a Malayali feast and there he involves in a chain of incidents. Indrajith comes there to find his love and that search of his results in the chain of unexpected events which form the crux of the plot.

Mohanlal only have 5-6 scenes and he as usual stole the show with whatever he got to perform. He is one among the rare league of actors who can make something out of emptiness and here too in the script there was nothing for him to do but he made his presence felt with his unique style of dialogue delivery and mannerisms. Indrajith does not have much to perform either.

The visuals were average and music by Job Kurian was not at all bad.The dialogues for the film is written by actor Nedumudi Venu who had role to play also. But we have to say that the film never gone up from an average level of story –telling and also we can feel the helplessness of the director who got a poor script to handle. Still it is a one -time watchable film for its simplicity, feel good presentation style and for Mohanlal’s presence.

Director : Rajeevnath
Release Date : 23/1/2015
Cast :Mohanlal, Indrajith, Nedumudi Venu

Baby Review

0

BABY, the latest offering from Neeraj Panday-Akshay Kumar team reached theaters today and we have to say that it turned out to be one of the best ever films made in Bollywood specifically and Indian cinema as a whole.  The film had a very good cast including Akshay Kumar,  Anupam Kher, Danny Denzongpa ,Tapsee Pannu, Sushant Singh, Rasheed Naz, Rana Daggubati ,Kay Kay Menon etc. It was Neeraj Pandey’s 3rd film as a director after A Wednesday and Special 26. These two films were critically acclaimed as well as box office hits. So the expectation was very high this time and when the trailer reached at the social medias, the expectation went sky high as it received overwhelming response from the film lovers.

The film 100% fulfilled the expectation and gave the spectator much more than they expected from the film. It has to say that BABY is Neeraj Pandey’s best film till now and when Akshay Kumar’s performance is considered, it is his career best too.
BABY is a secret team of spies which formed after the 26/11 attack in India. And the one who leads this team is Ajay Singh played by Akshay Kumar and the team members had no official records in their name and their only responsibility is to destroy terror attacks and terrorists. If they caught by neighbor nations they will have no record to prove that they are Indians and Indian government will also deny the fact that they are Indians. They are on a mission now when India faces multiple terror threats from Pakistan, from within India itself and also from other locations in the world.

Baby tells the story of that mission of a special team. Akshay Kumar is the backbone of the film. He is terrific in his action, humour and every bit which he had to do in this film. He is at his best in everything he did in BABY. And all others did their part to perfection as each of them seems to be competing with each other to make it perfect.

Neeraj Pandey’s direction was amazing the strength of the script was awesome. It is very tight that there no way to find a loose area or loop hole in the script. The film can be compared to any Hollywood action film for its standard of story- telling and breathtaking visuals. The climax portion was unbelievably amazing and one of the best in Bollywood film history. Baby had taken Indian cinema to another level and never miss this one. If you miss it, it will be one of the biggest misses you have in your life.

Director : Neeraj Panday

Cast : Akshay Kumar, Tapsee Pannu, Rana Daggubati

Mili Review

0

At last Mili came to see us today. Mili was one of the most eagerly anticipated movie from last year and it got released today. Why people waited for this film..?. Two main reasons for that. One is the name of its director. Yes, it’s a Rajesh Pillai film. The name seems very familiar na..?..Rajesh pillai is the director of the Sensational film Traffic and the success of Traffic is said to be the turning point where the so called new generation films began to appear in Mollywood. But after that Rajesh Pillai announced a couple of projects with Mohanlal and Kunchacko Boban etc, but it never got materialized. And last year he began the shooting of his 3rd film Mili with Amala Paul playing the title character in the movie.

The second reason people waited for the film was the presence of Nivin Pauly as the male lead in this film. Nivin Pauly is in a dream run and had a great year of 2014 with success and success only. And also there was a long gap between his last release and this one. So his fans are also anticipating much about the film. But to tell the truth, Mili disappoints big time to say little. The film has a got a very good theme and had all the elements in that theme to flourish. But it was all ruined by the presentation of that theme in the worst possible manner. The film starts of in a slow pace with the introduction of Mili and it never looked to pick up it pace and lagging all the way to the climax. First half is better compared to second half and climax.

Mili is a moody girl who seems to have interest in nothing and always want to hide her thoughts from others. She always alone by herself and once she had to tackle a problem which is not in her comfort zone and how that incident changes her life forms the central part of the story. We feels that the beginning is a buildup based on this theme and the second half will provide something to boost the predictable story line. But nothing happened and the film ends just like a documentary on Child care. But rajesh pillai succeeded in one thing that he successfully created a realistic feel in the movie.  But on that effort , the Director lost the theme and character half way through the film and second half was only an effort to put an end to the film somewhere or the other.

We are not delving much deep into the story as it was a tedious exercise to tell something that even the director couldn’t establish properly.  The film also has Sanusha, Praveena, Shaman, Sija, Ambika etc and all of them had done their part well. The music by Gopi Sunder was very good. The positive elements we found in the film are the performance of Amala Paul and also some dialogues at the end part or the speech at the end part which had an emotional content to move the audience a little bit. Nivin Pauly had nothing much to do in the film as well. Overall Mili is an average affair which is a film only for those who likes realistic films than entertainers.

Director : Rajesh Pillai

Cast : Amala Paul, Nivin Pauly

Mariyam Mukku Review

0

Mariyam Mukku is the first directorial venture of popular screenplay writer James Albert and the film had a great star cast of hFahad Faasil, Joy Mathew, Aju Varghese, Manoj K Jayan and new face Sana Althaf as heroine. The film don’t have much promotion and hype before its release and the only hope on the film was James Albert who wrote great scripts such as Classmates and Ividam swargamanu. But the film ended up as a below average affair and it is not a good beginning to James Albert as a director.

The story of the film unfoldes in a coastal background and Mariyam Mukku is a coastal village where the story happens. A coastal village where people lives doing small jobs in around the sea. The central character is Felix played Fahad lost his parents at a very young age and he was brought up by Marian  Ashan played by Manoj K Jayan. Marian Aashan is a crooked fellow and he is with his gang power rules the area and felix is the leader of Ashan’s gang.

The film opens with some comedy scenes around this plot.  Ashan and gang went against the religious beliefs of people there as well and it creates a kind of anarchy at Mariaym Mukku. The shrine of Mary in Mariyam Mukku stood neglected as the believers were scattered by the rule of Marian ashan and gang. Later the character of Salomi played by Sana Althaf comes into the scene and the love affair between Salomi and Felix makes things to turn the other way. The incidents that follows after this, forms the crux of the story.

The loose script has ruined the film and the love track has never raised to anyway near satisfaction. The predictable romance sequences and badly constructed characters are just destroyed the feel of the movie big time. Fahadh Faasil had nothing much in his character to show his talents and other actors like Manoj K Jayan, Prathap Pothen, Joy Mathew etc had portrayed the characters without any conviction to say the least. Sana Althaf and Fahadh never really looked in good chemistry as well. Vidyasagar’s music was above average and the visuals was the only positive factor in the film. Mariyam Mukku ends up an below average one and it should have been a better one if the script was a bit more enganging.

Picket 43 Review

0

We can say this time..Major Ravi is back..Picket 43 delivered the much needed success that was eluding Major Ravi after Kurukshetra. Prithi Raj also got his winning ways back on track with this after his disaster Tamaar Padaar outing in last October. Major Ravi is considered one of the best directors in India when it comes to the matter of military films. Picket 43 is a much awaited film due to this and also for the first time Prithvi raj had played the role of a military officer. The trailer of the film got viral in the social media and that itself suggested the hope of people on this film. Major Ravi -Prithvi Raj combination doesn’t disappoint the spectators.

Picket 43 is not a usual military film which has lot of gun fire and war scenes. It told the story of a  friendship between an Indian Soldier and Pakistan soldier and their effort to protect their own countries as well as save the peace among both countries. Major Ravi conceived the theme in a terrific manner and the visuals given to us by Jomon T John was outstanding to say the least. Ratheesh Vega’s music was mesmerising and it really brings the soul of the film to the audience. His music was perfect in the sense that it really blend with the story and visuals of the film as well as the underlying emotions that lay beneath its outer shell.

Now  to the performance of the characters. The backbone of the film is the performance of Prithvi Raj and Javed Jeffrey who did gave a sterling performance as the central characters of the Indian and Pakistan soldiers respectively. Prithvi gave one of his best performances as Havildar Hareendran Nair and Javed Jeffrey was simply awesome. It has to say that Javed was the real show stealer in this movie. Other actors like Renji Paniker done their part well and the military dog who performed as Hareendran Nair’s companion gave a memorable show of skills. Unfortunately the dog was not alive now to see the applauds she is been getting.

Prithvi Raj has to say thanks to Mohanlal for this role as Major Ravi has revealed that it was Mohanlal who suggested Prithvi for this role when he was approached by major Ravi to do this film and it turned out to be one of the best in Prithvi’s career.  The film starts and ends with the voice over of Mohanlal as well. The film is also a mirror that held against the suffering, courage, conviction and the dedication of our soldiers and the situation that is prevailing at the border.

It is a film that tells the story of the futility of wars. It is a film that shows us the dignity of true patriots whether it is Hindu or Muslim. Some scenes of the film gives us Goosebumps and the pride of being an Indian and the need to be a human being at heart fills our hearts while we watches the film. We recommend all of you watch this film. It is a must watch for all Indians,  for all who believes that he/she is an a human being first, for all those who loves peace and for all those who love Good films.

Director : Major Ravi

Allu Arjun-Trivikram movie is named S/O Sathya Murthy

0

It is unwise to overlook the importance of the title in creating a good first impression as far as movies are concerned. No one knows it better than Trivikram Srinivas who makes it a point to provide his movie with the most appropriate name. The best example to substantiate this is the movie is Attarintiki Daaredi, which got the attention of the fans because of its name. This time, he had to give a captivating name to his movie which has Allu Arjun as the protagonist.

The crew have been considering various names that would  be  a perfect fit to the movie.  The names such as Husharu, Jadugar and the like were rumoured but nothing was set in stone. Finally, Trivikram locked in on the name S/O Sathya Murthy which gives a glimpse of what the movie is about.  The name of the movie leads us to the assumption that Allu Arjun is appearing in the movie as the son of Sathya Murthy.

Rajendra Prasad is odds-on favourite to play the character of Sathya Murthy. Rajendra Prasad has tied up with Trivikram and Allu Arjun for the movie Julai which proved to be a turning point in his career. He picturized a police officer in the movie who supplied the plot with some interesting twists. He bagged the South Indian International movie Awards for the best supporting actor for his superlative performance in the movie.

Samantha is booked to play the leading female character. Adah Sharma and Nithya Menen also give input to the movie by portraying the other two central female characters. Allu Arjun has recently participated in a short movie I Am That Change which he himself produced. The movie was specifically designed to remind people about their responsibilities as a social being. Allu Arjun has built up an image of regular neighborhood boy to whom we can relate by portraying various homely characters. He made a quantum leap with the movie Bunny which revolutionized his career for good. His character Bunny was so deeply engraved in the minds of the audience that some of the fans still call him by that name. It remains to be seen how well Arjun will fare as the beloved son of Sathya Murthy.
