Shankar’s I opened to mixed opinions worldwide but the world is unanimous about one thing about the film, it was the performance of the artists in the film. Vikram’s performance in as much as four getup was awesome. He acted as Lingeshan, the body builder, Lee, the super model, the Hunchback and as a beast in a song.
Amy Jackson was impressed the audience with her beauty and innocence. She was just like a Greek goddess in beauty in some of its scenes. Also much to the credit of her, she really made a matured performance and her chemistry with Vikram was terrific to say the least. The only problem she encountered was the lip synchronization to the Tamil dialogues and it was pardonable as she is not a native of Tamilnadu and Tamil is not her mother tongue. And the other one who really got the applause of the spectator was none other than Mollywood’s own Suresh Gopi. His role with the negative shade was brilliant and he made it more and more convincing with his restraint kind of acting. His screen presence was just above all in the film.
But there was a surprise package or a surprise performer in the film. Yes, we guess You all remember the one who does the character of Lingeshan’s makeup artist and hair stylist, the one who played the character of transgender Person. It was Ojas Rajani, who is a famous make -up artist and hair stylist in Bollywood. He was the Make-up artist of none other than Aishwarya Rai. Ojas Rajani had studied hair and make-up styling from the Miami School of Design, U.S.A. and he had been styling celebrities for past 11 years and had quite an experience in this field. He is specializing in dramatic eye make-up, Bridal make Up, Bollywood & Red Carpet now.
He had also worked with Urmila, Sridevi, Madhuri Dixit, Deepika, Katrina etc and many more. He had Won the Award for Most creative make up artist of the year for the film ROBOT with Aishwariya Rai. He had also won awards like the Estetica Swarzkoff Award 2011 – 2012 for the Most Wanted Make Up artist of the Year, Most fashionable Make Up Artist at B & D Awards 2012 – 2013,and Won the Images Beauty & Wellness Award in 2013 for the Most Admired Personality of the Year for Make Up. Anyway his new innings as an actor has had a great and successful beginning with I.
I reaches 100 crore club in style
Show man Shankar’s and Chiyaan Vikram’s career’s Biggest film till now is undoubtedly ‘I’ and as you all know the film has been accepted by the audience with both their hands and now the reports are saying that movie ‘I’ has got unbelievable gross collection in its first 3 days Worldwide. The film is released in record number of screens in Indian cinema history and also become the first south- Indian film to be released in our neighboring country Pakistan as well, but with Hindi subtitles.
‘I’ which released on 14th January 2015, reportedly grossed above 40 crore mark in its first two days each and the third day collection also seems to be not much less as the theaters are running to packed houses and the houseful shows not seems to be stopping. The holidays also had done a great deal of help for ‘I’ to run smoothly and also there is no other prominent release opposite the movie also helped it to rule the Box-office alone like an Emperor.
According to the latest reports, the film had grossed above the magical 100 crore mark and it has become the Tamil film which grossed above 100 crores in less days. The film is breaking record and creating new ones in the domestic box-office too. In kerala it has already re-written the record of the highest opening day collection Surpassing Mohanlal-Vijay Starrer Jilla’s record. ‘I’ had grossed above 3 crore in Kerala in its opening day and reportedly it has grossed aroung 6 crores in its first 3 days run in kerala. Even though the film has got mixed opinion from the neutal audience, there is no stopping the ‘I’ mania as far the matter of collection is concerned and if it goes this way, it will be soon crowned as the biggest grossing tamil film in the history of Kollywood.
The unbelievable effort and dedication of Vikram and the skill of Shankar is the reason behind all its success and people are going crazy about these two after watching the film. There are applause pouring for them from all corners and it was indeed a deserved success for all their hard work.

No more confusion IDI is an upcoming project in Mollywood and it will be penned down and directed by Sajid Yahiya and Aroz Irfan. ‘IDI: Inspector Dawood Ibrahim’ will be an action packed thriller film.
We have seen many great police characters in Mollywood like Bharath chandran IPS played by Suresh Gopi, Ali Imran played by Mohanlal and Inspector Balram played by Mammootty. To match with them, a Young actor in Molyywood will portray character of Malayali inspector named Dawood Ibrahim and the curiosity which the title generates will be the impetus for the audience to wait for its release. The name of the actor who is doing the title character is kept as a surprise by the makers as the young actor is making preparations for a complete make- over as Inspector Dawood Ibrahim.
Sajid Yahiya had done some prominent roles in films like Bangalore Days and yet to be released Double Barrel. Aroz Irfan also had worked as associate director in many films and it will be their first independent venture. They are writing the script of the film and they wanted to bring the about the film to the audience step by step with a suspense as we see in Bollywood.
They are planning to start the filming of ‘IDI’ in March 2015 and they are making it as an action filled entertainer which has all the elements of thrill and style to attract the youth. The first look poster of the film is already a super hit in social medias and it seems that youth had already received the title of the film with both hands.
Little Superman is not insulting any religion or god, says Vinayan
Director Vinayan had come out through his Facebook page today reacting about the allegations made against his recent film Little Superman 3D and also telling about the re-shooting of some parts of the film. Vinayan said in his Facebook post that as everyone knew about the issues that happened around his film, he want to say to all about it. He said that he was never intended to insult any religion or god through his film. He said in fact he just tried to give the message that god will be there for a child who had no one to bank on.
He told that he was really shocked to see the reactions of some of the Christian Priests about the issue and also about the attitude of censor board members. Still he did not want to create an issue out of that only because he does not want publicity for his film that way. It was a film for children and that kind of publicity will only have negative impact on the film. He said that he had all the right to run the film in theaters as the film had got legal censor certificate and he can use law machineries to stand tall against them.
But he was not adamant about it only because the film is not intended for youngsters. It is for children and unwanted legal battles and controversies will only make family audience to stay away from the film and theaters. That is why he decided to take back the film from theaters on its 6th day. Vinayan said that he had re shot the climax part of the film with more graphics and there will be a treat for children in the newly shot version. It had cost rupees 75 lakhs and shooting has been completed yesterday. Graphics work of the film is in progress now.
Vinayan also told to leave cinema and artist to express his own observations through his art and please do not stand against the freedom of expression of an artist. He said that even though there are many biggies who stands against him and tries to expel him from this industry he will stand firm against it. He told that it was may be due to that pressure that what happened to his film has not even become a small issue for a discussion in our industry. Vinyan told that the re-shoot version of Little superman 3d will hit the screens soon and it will be an amazing ride for family and children alike.
I opened its eyes in Pakistan too
‘I’ had opened its eyes above 4500 screens in Indian and around 400 screens outside India on January 14th, Wednesday. The main overseas market of the Tamil films is known to be China, US, Japan etc. But ‘I’ released in Pakistan too and it is the Hindi dubbed version of the film is released in Lahore on this January 14th. It is for the first time ever that a Tamil film or its dubbed version is releasing in Pakistan. It may be noted that it is just not the first Tamil film to release in Pakistan, but it is the first south Indian movie to get that distinction. Shankar and Vikram will have a lot to proud of this time as their movie is making waves literally all around the world.
Bollywood films usually releases in Pakistan and they always had a great market there. Salmankhan and Aamir khan films had great market in Pakistan as their films Dhoom 3 and kick etc had done wonderful business there. The film is produced by Aascar films and according to its collection reports it had already become a record breaker in Kollywood and many other places it got released. The first day gross estimated approximately was above 40-45 crores and the second day gross also came around the first day figure.
When we take into account of the domestic collections of the film , the first day collection record in Andra Pradesh and Telugana is 7 cr share and it is to be understood that this share is the Biggest share for a non Telugu movie there. The previous record was the 4 crore share that is obtained by none other than Rajnikanth’s recent film Lingaa.
‘I’ has already been a record breaker in Kerala too. In Kerala it created an all -time record opening day collection of above 3 crore and pull back Jilla towards the second spot which got the previous highest collection for a Tamil film in Kerala on its very first day. But that was due to the presence of none other than the Universal star of Mollywood, Mohanlal in the film. In Bangalore city alone ‘I’ grossed rupees 2.7 crore.
Aashiq Abu calls Suresh Gopi a Wrong Number
Director Aashiq Abu always drags himself into many controversies and most of the time he too will drench in that by himself. There were lot of incidents that happened before. One such incident is that once Aashiq in his Facebook page attacked none other than Ulaka Naayakan Kamal Hassan for his concept in his film Vishwaroopam and really criticized him for making such a movie and also ridiculed the film. Vishwaroopam was a great success by then and people are in for all praise for Kamalhassan at that point of time. When they saw Aashiq criticizing the legend and talking about film making to the master of films, they reacted badly and Aashiq was attacked from all corners in the social Medias for his unwanted and unhealthy criticism on Kamal Haasan. Later many times he is been attacked for this kind of criticism from his side in various issues.
The recent and latest issue is that he posted in his Facebook page, the video of the speech made by Suresh Gopi in which he telling that the Hindu community will have to come forward in order to accomplish the Vizhinjam project successfully. But Aashiq had posted the video with the caption ‘Wrong Number’ and that made it quite an issue. Whoever saw PK, Aamir Khan-Raj Kumar Hirani Team’s recent blockbuster can understand what Wrong Number really means. Wrong Number is a phrase used by PK (the title character played by Aamir khan in the film) to refer to people who gave wrong Messages to the public or to the common people. PK is a film that openly reveals the follies of Godmen and there had been a lot of issues regarding the content of the film recently.
Aashiq abu says that Suresh Gopi is giving wrong advise to the people and he indirectly ridiculing Suresh Gopi by his post in Facebook page. Supporters of Suresh Gopi is in all attack mode against Aashiq abu now and they claiming that Suresh Gopi not said it in the narrow sense that someone like Aashiq abu is telling to people. They says that suresh gopi’s words means that the Hindu community which is sitting passive now, had to come forward and ask to get the financial aid for the vizhinjam port. He does not mean that Hindu community only can do it. He just meant a collective effort. Anyway both sides are holding to their opinion very tightly and Aashiq had just planted a bomb in the social media and the medias have enough time to eat on the possibilities of its exploding and consequences.
I movie’s pirated print on internet already
I is making waves in the box office and it had already become one of the biggest hit in Mollywood. Apart from this it has also created record in the opening day collection. In the very first day of its release it had amassed above 40 crore approximately as per the box office reports and second day collection seems to be on the higher side as well. The holidays in Tamilnadu due to Pongal has also increased the rush in theaters there.
But now a new problem has arisen against its smooth sailing at the Box office. It is that the pirated version of the film is already uploaded in the internet by some people and it is definitely a cause for worry for the I team. The pirated version of the film is seem in some of the Tamil online sites and hat too just few hours after the release of the film worldwide. Tamil cinema industry will suffer its consequences for sure as the films that is making there using high production budgets and if this piracy is going on its way like this, all of these kind of high budget films will be subjected to huge loss in revenue and that will ruin the economic balance of the tamil film industry.
There many big budget films in the past had suffered due to this piracy issue and suffered great loss of revenue due to his filthy and illegal method. The pirated prints of various new films are available in social media sites as well as torrent sites and the authorities are turning blind eye towards the issue. Only actor Vishal had raised protest against this and he is the only one who successfully acted against this piracy. The raid Vishal has made to seize pirated film prints was a big news there and lot of people offered their support to him at that time. But now there is no one apart from their words.
Earlier it was big news that the I team had made great preparations to stop piracy and included some technology to capture the culprits if it happened. But all seems to have went in vain and this will lead cinema industry down to the bottom in its financial scheme of things.

In India alone it had 4500 screens and outside India it had 400 screens to its credit. The film is expected to be one of the biggest hit Indian film industry has ever seen and from the first day collections itself, we can assume that the film has begun its journey to destroy all box office records that is existing.
The film had reportedly collected above 40 crore in its opening day and it is a record in Indian film industry. The film had opened to positive as well as negative opinions alike. That may pull down the film from being the biggest hit ever in Indian film industry overtaking Aamir khan’s Pk which has already surpassed 600 crores worldwide and still going strong at box office. But I will surely be one of the biggest hit of 2015 in Indian cinema and also will rewrite the history of Kollywood Box office very soon.
The main reasons of this success was the Popularity of Shankar films, his combination with Vikram and Vikram’s unbelievable performance, the gigantic promotion works and the hell of a lot hype which it created. And also the timing of its release is another reason for this stupendous opening day collections which is as expected came in between 40to 45 crores. It really stands up to the expectation as gross collection is concerned even though not fully lived up to the expectation of the audience about its story and the pre-release hype it created.
The film is still doing good at the domestic market and also very well at the overseas market in its second day. The second day collection also expected to touch the 40 crore mark and it may well be the fastest film in Indian cinema which will touch the 100 crore mark. The holidays are making things very easy for the film and it will create wonder if it goes like this way.
