Mohanlal fans against Joy Mathew
Actor and Director Joy Mathew landed himself in trouble by replying in rather careless manner in his own Facebook status. Joy Mathew shared a photo in his Facebook which is from his latest release ‘Angels’ starring Indrajith, Asha Sharath etc and the film was directed by debutant Jean Markose. The movie got a decent word of mouth from the audience and it was indeed a decent thriller. But people bound to have different opinions and everyone had to admit that.
So such a viewer commented on the photo shared by Joy Mathew that ‘Angels was a senseless film’. That man also mentioned about different drawbacks and negatives the film had in its script, characterization etc. But Joy Mathew replied to it in rather unexpected manner as he said that people who criticizes Angels only need films like Peruchazhi. He thereby indirectly ridiculed a Mohanlal starrer and Mohanlal fans are in great rage that they believe Joy Mathew indirectly ridiculed Mohanlal. Peruchazhi is a fun filled film which has made on a huge budget and in fact got decent response at Box office also by entering to the profit zone of the financial scheme of things.
Now Mohanlal fans are against Joy Mathew and throughout social media, he has been thoroughly criticized by the fans of Mohanlal for his not so good words. Joy Mathew always behaves like a rebel and he had been in trouble like this before also. He directed a film called ‘Shutter’ and that film had won many awards and great appreciation from the critics and ordinary viewers alike. Later he become an integral part of Malayalam films as a character actor and villain. But he many times showed the world that he can’t tolerate criticism and always replies to that criticism in rather unhealthy manner.
Angels got decent opinion but that does not means that no one can criticize the film. One person just expressed his opinion and Joy Mathew was just went out of his control and indirectly trolled a Mohanlal film. He had nothing to do with Peruchazhi but he landed on it to cover the criticism he faced for one of his film.
Munnaririyippu also a copycat..?
There are reports spreading in various social media pages that ‘Munnariippu’, one of the best Malayalam films got released this year starring Mammootty is a copycat of a Hollywood film named ‘Life of David Gale’ which was released in the year 2003. Kevin spacy did the lead role in that film. This Hollywood movie was directed by Alan Parker. And heroine was the Titanic fame Kate Vincelet.
Munnariyippu was scripted by the notable writer R Unni and directed by K B Venu. It was a Renjith production under the banner of Gold coin Motion pictures Ltd. Reports says that Munnariyippu is almost similar to Life of David Gale except for its climax part. In Munnariyippu Mammootty’s character goes to jail after committing his third Murder. But in Life of David Gale, the protagonist was hanged to death in the climax. The rumors were started from the time of the release of ‘Munnariyippu’ and many people found out the similarities between the two films. As per reports, They informed the media about the similarities. But no one made it public as the script writer Unni was himself a media professional and media professionals supported their colleague.
In Life of David Gale, Kate Wincelet act as a newspaper reporter who comes in search of David Gale who is waiting his death penalty. She gives him 5 lakh rupees with the help of his lawyer and thus he began to tell his story. He was a philosophy professor earlier. But in Munnariyippu they created Raghavan as an ordinary person with extra ordinary philosophical thoughts. The mental state and agony of both David Gale and Raghavan is the same in these films. The story is rather the same with only a minor difference had made according to the cultural background of Kerala. Aparana Gopinath played the role of the journalist in Munnariyippu.
Reports also says that after seeing the film Life of David Gale, director Venu appointed Unni to write a script based on that film. Unni’s earlier scripts like Big B, Chappa Kurish etc are also copycats from foreign language films. Anyway Munnariyippu has got great critical reception in Kerala and also got a decent commercial success.
Michael Jackson In Suriya’s Mass

They are planning it as Tribute to their favorite singer and king of pop Michael Jackson and they are even using the lyrics from Michael Jackson’s famous song ‘Thriller’ to show their love, craze and respect for that great artist.

In ‘Mass’ actress Nayan Thaara will play the female lead and others in cast list include popular Malayalam actor Jayaram, Samudrakkani, Amy Jackson, Pardhipan, Premji Amaran, Madhusoodanan, Sreeman, Riyas Khan , Daniel Annie pop etc. Script of the movie had done by Venat Prabhu and Madan Karthi jointly. Mass will be a film which had raised high hopes in the spectators as it happened to be the first time that Venkat Prabhu and Suriya join hands, Venkat Prabhu had become a sensational director with his blockbuster hit ‘Mankatha’ with Thala Ajith in the lead. Suriya also had high expectation in this film as his last film ‘Anjaan’ directed by Lingu Swamy was not very well received , which was expected to be a big success.
Rajasenan furious, says that Jayaram is avoiding him
Director Rajasenan, the once popular director who had made such epic Malayalam movies that are even cherished till this date has had a recent string of misfortunes in creating the same spark at the box office as well as for the public. For all we know, a hit that deserves his status might have been his 2000 rom-com film Darling Darling, starring Dileep, Kavya Madhavan and Vineeth. Since then there have been some thirteen something films among which a few are passable. His latest outing being the movie Wound starring himself, Nidhi, Anju Nair and Rajesh Pillai.
Well recently the director has lashed out revealing some of his daring opinions on some actors and how they are treating him these days on an interview for a TV channel. Mainly pointing out to Jayaram, the person who once used to be a frequent collaborator in his films starting from their 1991 venture together Kadinjool Kalyanam to the not so recent movie Kanaka Simhasanam in the year 2006. This duo has given some of the greatest hits one time with movies such as Kadinjool Kalyanam, Meleparambil Aanveedu, Swapnalokathe Balabhaskaran, etc. but recently ended up doing quite a few projects with tragic results.
Rajasenan has come open about certain things. Starting with Jayaram who he claims to have been avoiding him for quite a while. Avoiding his calls as well as completely ignoring him in social events. He also goes on to say that Jayaram forgets where he comes from and that during a rough time for Jayaram with a couple of his movies going down, Rajasenan claims that it was he who gave him a break with the movie Kadinjool Kalyanam. He says that it was he who gave him some of the greatest hits in his career, and he gets treated like this. What made him even more furious was when Jayaram asked him to present a full script before further proceedings.
He has also shared his opinion on Fahadh Faasil, whom he points out to be quite the average actor and overrated. He also shines his opinion on Prithviraj whom he finds to be quite talented but is disappointed from the fact that Prithvi always fails to mention that his actual debut was in his 2002 film Nakshathrakkannulla Rajakumaran Avanundoru Rajakumari. Rajasenan had approached these two for projects but they were least interested for the same fact that they weren’t presented with a script. The actors are yet to respond to theses statements.
Rajni Mania all set to hit again
Super star Rajnikanth is all set with his latest release ‘Lingaa’ which will hit the screens worldwide on December 12th. The film is set release in 5000 screens worldwide and it will hit 1000 screens in Tamilnadu and Kerala alone.
The film is directed by None other than K S Ravikumar who made Super Hit film like ‘Padayappa’ with Rajni long ago. The film had to go through various problems from the beginning of its shooting. Still there is cases against the film in Chennai City Civil court and Madras High court. Kerala distribution issue is also there. But the crew is all the way hopeful that the will be able to release the film on December 12th which is also happened to be the Birthday of Super star Rajnikanth.
Rajnikanth is the biggest super star india had ever seen and he his millions of fans worldwide is eagerly waiting for the arrival of ‘Lingaa’ on the birthday of their ‘Thalaiva’. Anushka shetty and Sonakshi Sinha Will play the female leads in the film and Rajnikanth will play dual role in this film. The film is financed by the popular Kannada producer Rockline Venkitesh and will be distributed by erose international. The satellite Right of the film is bought by Jaya TV and the film has already collected a whopping amount of 60 crore rupees by selling its tamil and telugu rights.
In kerala there is still an issue regarding its release because of the huge loss suffered by the distributors of Rajni’s previous film ‘Kochadiyaan’. Distributors want a compensation for the loss they suffered but the makers of ‘Lingaa’ is on the stand that they have nothing to do with the issue of Kochadiyaan as they have no connection with Kochadiyan’s production team. Vendhar Movies will distribute Lingaa in kerala and they said that the film will confirmed to hit the screens in Kerala on December 12th.
The music of Lingaa has done by none other than A R Rahman and the songs were already entered the hit chart. Ratnavelu is the DOP and Sabu Cyril is the art director of the film which need a lot of art work. Editor of the film is Samjith and the film is in news for its awesome insurance amount of 200 crors also.

A father must be a hero for his son, says Mammootty

Ram Gopal Varma’s daring statement
Ram Gopal Varma was on the top of the world after delivering a number of super hit movies. He garnered attention owing to his unique treatment of movies. However, Ram Gopal Varma is going through a tough phase in his career since his last few movies could not make an impact on the box office. He administered the remake of Sholay. It was a Herculean task for him since Sholay is arguably one of the best movies that is ever produced in the history of world cinema. Expectations were on sky high for this remake, especially, with Amitabh Bachchan playing the chief antagonist. However, the movie crumpled at box office and received poor response from the audience. Even critics showed no mercy and severely censured the movie for its substandard quality.
Ram Gopal Varma came up with a couple of movies after this debacle, but was unable to make amendments for the disastrous performance of his previous movie. His career graph went down in an alarming rate after that.Varma has astounded everyone by stating that he will rather take his own life than leaning on others for the elementary requirements. He explained that he does not wish to be a liability to others. He added that he will relocate himself to a distant place and will kill himself there without causing any trouble. However, his comments have paved way to numerous speculations. But, as for now, there is nothing to panic as the director seems to have no intention to commit suicide in the near future.
