This is an Experiment, Hope it will do well... Says Jean-

After Jibu jacob’s Vellimoonga and Binu’s Ithihasa, Another promising debutant is coming to bless Malayalam film industry with his First film. It was Jean Marcos who making his debut with the film named ‘Angels’ in which Indrajith, Asha sarath and Joy Mathew plays the lead characters. Jean Markose and his wife Maya Kartha were very famous RJ’S in Dubai Hit FM and Maya was one of the producer of Angels too. Jean is the Brother-in-law of Indrajith as Maya was Indrajith’s first cousin. Thus the first film of Jean is totally a family affair with his wife as producer and Indrajith, his best friend and brother-in-law as the hero of the film. Our Onlookers Media reporter have met Jean on the day of the film’s music launch and had an exclusive chat with him about the film.

“It was a hopeful project for all my crew as many of them had debuting with this film. Its music director, cinematographer, Editer and many other technicians making their first step into the film industry with this project. I am very excited about this project as all of them are my close friends for a long time and its really great to work with my friends in my very first film…” Says Jean Markose

Q : How you landed in the project Angels..?

Jean : We got the thread of the film from a paper news one and a half years ago and then we began to made the plot around it. The three main characters in the story was Hameem Haider played by Indrajith,Father Varghese Punayalan played by Joy Mathew and Haritha Menon played by Asha Sarath. Haritha Menon is the character who links the other two characters in this film.

Q- You choose Indrajith as the hero ..Is it because he is your relative..?

Jean : Indrajith was choosed as the main lead not because he is my relative, but on the basis of the story and character. I knows Indrajith,joy Mathew and Asha Sarath for years, it was very easy for Me to communicate with them.

Q- You worked as an RJ in Dubai HIT FM..tell us about how it helped you..?

Jean : Cinema was my passion and my work as RJ in Hit FM was helped me a lot to study more about films as my working time in the FM was limited and that’s why I had been able to study and watch more and more films.

Q- Tell us about how your friends supported you in the making of this film..?

Jean : everyone including Indrajith worked hard for the film as its their own film because they all are my great friends outside the industry too.

Q-Any plans for your next project..?

Jean : I had not planned about My next film till now. Now my request to all the Malayali film viewers is that to watch and support my and my friends maiden venture. We are open to all comments and reviews even if it is negative as we have done an experiment through this film and eager to know whether it is a success or not.

“Ormayundo ee mugham…”, when everyone heard this title, the first thing came to most of the peoples mind is the dialogue of famous fire brand character of Bharat suresh Gopi, named Bharathchandran IPS in the Blockbuster film ‘Commissioner’ directed by Shaji kailas. But this film starring Vineeth Sreenivasan and Namitha Pramod and directed by the newcomer Anvar Sadik has nothing to do with commissioner or Bharathchandran IPS. But the title is very much apt to the story of the film which infact runs forward with a theme of Memmory.

To remember and to be remembered is the two important things everyone wants in life. And that’s what the writer-director Anvar said through a beautiful love story. We are not going to reveal the story in much details to you all as we want you all to enjoy the film to its last drop. It’s the story of Gautham and Nithya, and their true love.

Gautham was delusional , scared and confused after his father’s death. Nithya came in to his life at a point when he was being helpless and immature in front of his mother who was earning the daily bread for their family. Even though meeting Nithya was pure coincidence,things around Gautham was changing like it was all pre-written by the god’s of love.

The film has a great cast list including Aju Varghese,old actress Lakshmi, Rohini, Kappa tv anchor Soumya Sadanandan etc. Everyone had done their role brilliantly and Aju Varghese become the favourite of many audience with his comic one liners and expressions. Soumya also shines with her crisp numbers and Rohini excels as the mother of gautham. But the real show stealer was the romantic pair Vineeth sreenivasan and Namitha with a mind blowing chemistry and cute performance. Shan Rahman’s music was just beautiful and Jithu Damodar’s DOP was perfect for the film. The newcomer Anvar had done a terrific job as a writer and director and all in all this film has become a very good entertainer for all kind of spectators.

It is a real life story depicting the fast paced lives of young IT professionals in Kerala’s most happening city Cochin. The movie also captures the landscapes and extravagant beauty of Fort Cochin. Tony, the protagonist is a rich young IT professional who after a week’s long toil wants to party hard with his friends. Peter a blind Christian pastor who helplessly waits for assistance for crossing a road.

Tony happens to meet Peter on the way to his Friday night party. They start talking and soon find their real lives are quite the opposite.The contrast of lives of both these individuals mixed with an unforeseen happening puts together an enchanting story of reality, suspense and displays different perspectives of how people value money.

Tony Kanda Punyalan is a long stood dream 1st short film for director, writer and producer Philip Francis, a mechanical engineer working in a company in Goa.It was released in YouTube on November 8th and co-produced by Vimin Thomas and Rohit Parameshwaran.

Tony Kanda Punyalan stars Rohit Parameswaran as Tony, Jacob Jherald as Peter, Sheren Balakrishnan, Kurien Francis, and Philip Francis in other significant roles. Bahul Ramesh handles the camera making sure the scenic beauty of Fort Kochi is captured to the fullest. The music for the film is youthful and refreshing composed by Sachin Lal who has also done the title track “Pakana Pakana Na Na Na” sung by Mohammed Shafeel. Editing is done by Bahul Ramesh and Jibin OV.

This film is a result of continuing and passionate interest of young working professionals in cinema. It is a start to many other such short and longer movies by this team. It is set within one day in Cochin and is entirely shot in natural lighting.

Mammootty fans issue spreading fastly

A new issue popped up against Mega star Mammootty in last week as his fans in Qatar posted a letter ,protesting against the Megastar’s behavior and arrogance and they also deleted their fans page as a part of their protest. As per reports and news spreading in social medias what happened at Qatar is that Mammootty had arrived in quatar to take part in a star night including Mohanlal, Jayaram and Dileep. At the same time the release of his new flick ‘Varsham’ also took place in Doha. Fans got the information about their arrival and they came there in numbers as they wanted to see their star. They also know that there was a celebration at the theater where ‘Varsham’ is releasing.

So they came there with a cake weighing 10 kg in which the image of the Mega star had been made and they are informed that Mammootty will be there for the premiere show of varsham. They thought they could see the film’s premiere with their own star and later can cut the cake with him as a part of the varsham success celebration. But what happened there was just the opposite of what they thought. The mega star did not came for the premier. But they were not concerned much about it as the star had been earlier agreed to attend the cake cutting and the celebration.

They waited for the star there for hours and the news is that when they approached him after waiting many hours with the cake, he payed no attention to them or there words. He did not even talk to them and just went out infront of them without even looking at the fans who had been waiting with the cake for their favourite star. As per reports.when a sponser try to help them by saying their condition to mammootty, he ridiculed them saying that “they can eat the cake themselves as they can buy it of their own”. . Any way they deleted the Qatar fans association facebook page and posted a letter before deleting it saying about all the incidents in detail. They said that they will never again work for and support Mammootty.

We still don’t know about the geneunity of the news. Some people says the news is an attempt to insult mammootty and some other says Mammootty has this arrogance issue and the people who protested against the star’s behavior is the people very close to him and known for a long time. Any way the news is spreading in Social network and we hope its not true.

Indrajith Sukumaran opened his mind about some of his wishes to Onlookers Media, in an exclusive Interview with us while promoting his new film ‘Angels’, directed by Jean Marcos, who is his brother-in –law also. Once his brother Prithviraj Sukumaran told in an interview that he really wished to do he character in ‘Naayakan’ directed by Lijo Jose Pellissery and it was actually did by none other Indrajith,his elder brother. When our reporter Asked Indrajith about which role he wished to do which was actually done by his brother Prithviraj, he answered that he really wished to do the role which Prithvi done in the film ‘Mumbai Police’ directed by Roshan Andrews and scripted by Bobby Sanjay.

In ‘Mumbai Police”’ Prithvi had done the role of a police officer ‘ACP Antony Moses’ who suffers a memory lose after am accident and then try to get his memory back in order to solve a case he was investigating before he lost his memory. Apart from Prithvi, Jayasurya and Rahman also played very important roles in the film. The film was successful both critically and commercially and considered as one of the great experiments in Malayalam cinema history. It was also counted among one of the best Investigative Thriller in Mollywood. It was a film that gave a lot of mileage to Prithvi raj in his career as an actor and as a star.

The film also was a milestone in the career of the director Roshan Andrews and it also gave great appreciation for the script writer duo Bobby Sanjay. It gave a much need Success to the Roshan Andrews-Bobby Sanjay team as their previous film Casanovva starred by the Universal star of Mollywood Mr. Mohanlal was not well received by the audience. The film came with great hype and it does not satisfy the audience. And Mumbai police was a real and powerful come back of the talented and promising team.

Indrajith is now gearing up with Angels, which is a social investigative thriller and is all set to release in the coming days. Hope it will give him a much needed hit after his highly appreciated role in ‘Left Right Left’.

Our Mega star Mammootty may not be In the best of his form for last four years, but once a mega star is always a mega star. Megastar Mammootty is not in a mood to cut down the number films he does in an year. He does not had a big hit in last four years and the search for that big hit is still going on. But he has handful of films in hands in the coming years too.

He is now on a comeback trial after a series of flops started with the film Munnariyippu,directed by Venu. Munnariyippu even though was not a success at box office,still got great appreciation from the critics and Mammootty’s performance was widely appreciated. Later his film Rajadhiraja got average success in box office and he has clearly came on to the track. Now his film Varsham also getting decent reviews and the three time national award winning actor is all set for an extremely tight 2015-2016 schedule. As per reports almost above 15 projects are ready to go on floors with The Mega star in the lead role.

His new release is Ranjith Sankar’s directorial ‘Varsham’ is getting mixed reviews from the viewers and now he is acting as the lead in Deepu Karunakaran’s directorial venture ‘Fireman’ produced by Milan jaleel under the banner of Galaxy films. Other major projects awaiting him include Siddique’s ‘Bhaskar the Rascal’, Kamal’s movie, Lal Junior’s ‘Driving License’, a movie directed by Marthandan whose first film was ‘Daivathinte Swantham Cleetus’ starred Mammootty, Joshiy-Ranjan Pramod project after Naran, Anjali Menon film, the directorial debut of the script writer of Akhil Paul ,who was the script writer of the super hit film ‘7th day’ starred Prithvi Raj etc. Movies by hit maker Vysakh, whose first film was Pokkiri Raja with Mammootty and Prithviraj in the lead, Boban Samuel film, Martin Prakkat-Anoop Menon team joining together for the first time, debut of Jamal are the projects which are on the pipeline. Rima and Manju Warrier in Ragini Padmini

Aashiq Abu, One of the pioneers of so called new generation cinema is coming back with his new film titled ‘Raagini Padmini’ with Manju Warrier and Rima Kallingal in the lead. Aashiq’s last film ‘Gangster’ was an all time disaster in his and Mammootty’s career. His debut was also with the Mammootty starrer ‘Daddy Cool’ which not well received at the box office. But he came back with a surprise giving ‘Salt n Pepper’ to Malayalees starred Asif Ali and Lal, which become one of the trendsetting films of Mollywood and also was one of the biggest hit in his career. Later he directed films like 22 female kottayam, Da thadiya and Idukki gold before Gangster debacle happened. He got married to actress Rima kallingal who was the main lead in his film 22 female kottayam.

Ragini Padmini will be a complete women centric film with two of the most favorite and talented actresses of malayalees, Manju Warrier and Rima Kallingal teaming up for the first time. Rima had took a break from films and busy with her dream dance school after her marriage with Aashiq abu and now coming back to silver screen through her Husband’s project. It will be her second film with Aashiq after the critically acclaimed ’22 fk’.

Manju Warrier is also came back to her acting career this year. She had already done ‘How old are you’ directed by Roshen Andrews, which was one of the mega success of 2014. The movie has got critical appreciation too for its content and Manju’s brilliant performance. Manju is famous as ‘Lady Mohanlal’ and now she is working in Sathayn Anthikkad movie in which she is pairing up with none other than the Universal star Mohanlal after 16 years. Manju’s previous films with Mohanlal are Aaram thamburaan directed by Shaji Kailas, Kanmadam directed by A.K Lohithadas and Summer in Bethlahem Directed by Sibi Malayil. All of these films were super hits and her character in aaram thamburn named unnimaaya was very popular among film viewers even now. Sathyan-Mohanlal-Manju film is scheduled to release in 2015 vishu season. Ragini Padmini will be Manju’s third film after her comeback to Mollywood.

Shyam Pushakaran and Rvi is writing the screenplay and dialogues of the film’Ragini Padmini’ and the film will go on floors in 2015 January.
