Angels Malayalam Movie Audio Launch Stills

The crew of the upcoming movie Angels has officially launched the audio of the movie. The launching ceremony was held at Oberon Mall in Cochin. The actors such as Indrajith, Prithviraj, their mother Mallika Sukumaran, Asha Sarath, Geethu Mohandas, Joju George, Poornima Indrajith and others enriched the ceremony with their gracious presence. In addition to them, directors including Deepu Anthikkad, Ranjith Shakar and Anoop Kannan also obliged the cast and crew of the movie by attending the function.

Jakes Bejoy who has become quite popular after the release of his album Malayali Penne has composed the music for the movie .This is the first time Jakes has assembled music for a movie. Another high point when it comes to the songs is that the son of famous singer G. Venugopal, Arjun Venugopal has rendered his voice to the songs. Gayathri also has contributed to the movie by lending her euphonious voice to the songs. Indrajith who is not only a talented actor but a gifted singer also has sung a song Ee Mizhikalil in the movie. It would be nothing short of an acid test for both Arjun and James since they are unaccustomed to the wide world of film industry. Rafeeq Ahmed has penned the lyrics of the songs. The cast gave a clear picture of the movie though their speeches and thanked everyone who worked hard for the realization of the movie.

Indrajith and Asha Sarath present the two central characters of the movie. Indrajith makes an appearance as a police officer whereas Asha Sarath essays the role of a journalist. Jean Markose takes part in the movie as the director and the script writer. The movie is financed by Linu Isaac, Hisham Basheer, Maya Kartha and Saju Azad with the assistance from the reputed production house Cloud Cinemas. The movie is about an intelligent police officer Hashim Haider who comes across a challenging case. He makes considerable progress with the case but unfortunately he is asked to skip out on the case which leaves him infuriated. Interstellar-Beyond the fifth dimension

It has been a widely used quote recently “In Nolan we Trust”,and here he is again,to outdone himself,with his Interstellar exploration.
Interstellar in every way can be considered as another masterpiece by Nolan.Because it excelled both literally and technically beyond the constraints.Interstellar in a way is a deep and complex sci-fi thriller while at the other end is an emotional testimony.

The story of the movie centers on the tile character Cooper(Matthew McConaughey ),who was a skilled pilot at NASA who at present earns through farming.The premise of the motion is st out somewhere far at future where the world almost not better than a junkyard with periodic dust storms occurring every day,with only corn as the only surviving surviving crop is almost tending towards its end.But then came an offer for Cooper for an expedition all out to space.Since it was considered as the last chance for saving the mankind Cooper agrees for the leap of faith,which inversely results in the parting of Cooper from his daughter Murph.Their on Interstellar fly high to a world of unexplored , infinite theoretical and scientific fiction.

The greatest quality Interstellar possess is it jaw dripping and sharp craft(both direction & scripting) where the director embarks his sheer brilliance on screen.The slow paced start of the movie slowly sucks the audience into an expedition of hope & humanity like a wormhole.There on we got deeply stuck in the idea and start searching for another planet of his own,where faith and hope lasts as the only resources.The dark and mild tone maintained throughout the movie mold the audience exactly to where its intended to.Its highly witful and fruitful dialogues ,enigmatic screen shows by Matthew McConaughey and heart wrenching emotional backdrop lifts ups the movie to the fifth dimension of cinematic experience.

Since its a Hollywood movie,it doesn’t usually gives space astonishment for its technical brilliance it yields.But still its where at its most authentic and unique visualization of the wormholes and the Interstellar space where the movie scores.And that is exactly where it go beyond every other products out of this huge canvas.May be the narrative mastery of Nolan is at level two in Interstellar,but its best at what it demands to.As if no one else yet haven’t crafted a subject this complex and scientific with this finesse.Even if the basic idea had already been tried on silver screens, its when talent get mixed up to a subject it heaves to another entity.

The convolution of the subject deserves more than a one time watch to grasp a clear picture of the movie but either Interstellar is a blend of a lot of peculiar and unparelled moments which we had ever witnessed with Christopher Nolan at it captaincy is as always is phenomenal.

The film is produced by Gunasekhar under the banner of Guna Team Works. The cinematography of the film was done by famous malayalam cinematographer Ajayanan Vincent, with the editing done by A. Tovino denies participation in Kiss of love protest

The kiss of love protest which took place in Marine Drive became sensational news after a huge number of youngsters openly declared their support to the protest. The protest had gone viral and some keralites in Hyderabad also showed their support by conducting the protest there. It was not much noticed and not many people even cared to criticize the protest. But, this kiss of protest has turned out to be a headache to Tovino Thomas.

There was a news that a TV anchor cum film actress was caught kissing someone during the protest. It was widely circulated on Whatsapp and Facebook.  But, later some people claimed that the man who was kissing the actress was Tovino Thomas.  They even designed a photo to substantiate their claim. Tovino became aware of this ongoing rumour when he got the same photo on his whatsapp. Tovino spoke to Onlookers media and addressed the situation. He said that he was absolutely shocked to see the photo.

Tovino explained that he was in his honeymoon with his wife. He was growing beard and hair for his upcoming movie. He pointed the man in the photo had a well trimmed short hair which is a solid proof enough to prove that it was not him. He said that he does not know how can grow hair and beard in one day. He said that he has other evidences to prove that he is not the one in the photo. He said that he only wants to make it clear that he is innocent and that he has not participated in the kiss of love protest.

Tovino is not the first victim of this social media cruelty. It has become quite common to spread the false news about the celebrities especially actresses on Whatsapp and other social medias. The worst part is that there are a lot of people who enjoy reading stuff like this and this encourages the perverts to come up with more of this stuff. While some celebrities vocalize their resentment openly some tend to overlook it and remain silent about it. When the celebrities suffer from these baseless rumours, the one who sows the seeds is probably working on the next rumour targeted at the innocent people.

Little Superman Review

Vinayan is back with a bang this time. That too with a little super hero.  Vinayan’s latest film Little Superman in 3D version got released today. Vinayan had already done films for children like Velli nakshathram, Athishayan, Athbhutha Dweep etc. These films attracted not only children but also every kind of spectators alike. He is a master craftsman who always searches for fresh ideas,fresh themes and new technologies and love to introduce it to Malayali audience. He is a ditrector who had done all types of films and got success in every variety. He had done comedy, action,fantasy,horror, and emotional melodramas. Most of his films are still remains in the memory of Malayali audience and even now they got appreciated when they comes on television channels. Now through this film Vinayan Introduced the possibilities of 3D technology to Mollywood.

Little super man is the story of a boy named Villi Wilson who is a brilliant and  smart school boy. Villi and his team of friends  are always be there to save the day for the school whenever the school come across major problems.   But, they do not wish to reveal their identities and they work secretly without welcoming the attention of others. Villi’s father Wilson who is an employee of irrigation department get to know the corruption of the higher officials and he decided to reveal their true colours in public. But, they make a plan to kill Wilson and his family so that they are not exposed. Wilson and his wife were murdered . But young  Villi has a miraculous escape and ran away from there  with his dog Tinku.  His uncle named  Alby takes the responsibility of protecting  him. Villi makes a decision to take revenge to all those who are responsible for his parents’ death. He follows the murderers and this forms the main plot of the film.

The film is in a fantasy mood and we have to appreciate Vinayan for his efforts to make such a film with great graphics work. Mollywood films have comparatively very low budget when we consider other language films. To spend more money on effects considered as a waste of money here. But vinayan dared to do it and now he is reaping gold with his film. It is  complete fun film for children and family audience. Everyone can watch it as it is clean and does not have dual meaning dialogues or the so called new generation verbal diarrhea.

Child artist Deni is played the role of Villi Wilson and he was the show stealer from the first to last. Another important character in this film is played by None other than Ansiba who is one of the most popular actress in kerala now after the epic film  Drishyam. Her performance in Drishyam as Mohanlal’s Daughter gave her a lot of fan following and handful of films both in Malayalam and Tamil . She had done character part very well in Little Superman  too. Other artists of the movie includes  Kakka Ravi, Baby Nayanthara, Madhu, Praveena and others and all were done justice to their roles. V.N Babu and Vinayan financed the movie under the banner of Akash films banner.  S. Ratheesh penned down the dialogues for the movie .The music department is handled by Mohan Sithara and lyrics were written by Kaithapram Damodaran Namboothiri. The technical team was amazingly done their part and editor sunil deserves special mention for his crisp editing. On the Whole this Vinayan film is an engaging fun ride for all and you will not be disappointed after watching it. After all we all have a child inside us.

When other directors are depending on the super stars like Mohanlal,Mammootty, or Prithvi raj to reach to the audience , Vinayan stands on his own. He is the most courageous director of Mollywood who stands alone like a rebel and try to give his best to cinema and the audience. Onlookers team wishes all the very to the entire crew of  ‘Little superman 3D’

Iyobinte Pusthakam Review

Iyobinte Pusthakam is Amal Neerad’s period movie featuring Fahad Fazil. The movie has pre independence India as its background. Iyob (played by Lal) is the devoted servant of Harrison who is a British native but lives in Kerala. Harrison owns a tea estate in Munnar. Iyob admires Harrison so much that he allows Harrison to name his three children. Harrison names the children Dmitri (played by Chemban Vinod), Ivan (played by Jinu Joseph) and Aloshi (played by Fahad Fazil). Harrison leaves for England but unfortunately he passes away before he could make it to England. Iyob learns about his death. He takes control of Harrison’s assets in Kerala and becomes the new master of the place.

Aloshi starts to develop feelings for Martha who is the illegitimate daughter of Harrison. One day, Aloshi witnesses a horrible crime by his brothers and he flees away from the place and ends up in Kochi.  As years go by, Aloshi joins the British Navy. But, he gets expelled for revolting against the British Authorities. He returns to Munnar which endows the plot with a major twist.  Aside from the above mentioned actors, Jayasurya, Reenu Mathews, Lena, T.G. Ravi and many others join the cast of the movie making it a good team

Let us begin with the high points of the movie. The movie presents a superlative visual experience for the audience. Amal Neerad deserves a pat on his back for his superb camera work.  The cast of the movie is the other positive aspect of the movie. Everyone has done their best to keep their characters convincing. Fahad Fazil and Jayasurya steal the show with their performances.  The songs of the movie are sufficiently good.

But the major flaw of the movie is its story. The movie has a long drawn out story and is elementary with nothing spectacular to dwell upon.It does not have a breathtaking moment to give you the chills. Above all, it lacks the element of unpredictability which also makes it less compelling. The dialogues are okay but would have been better if it were more intense.   The movie is a step up from Amal Neerad’s previous movies but is not impressive enough to please the audience in general.

Now Kollywood is celebrating the grand and amazing success of Ilayathalapathy Vijay  starrer Kaththi, directed by none other than A R Murugados. Now we are  getting some latest updates from Kollywood Ilayathalapathy will be joining with director  Chimbudevan and the film will will kick start on November 10th 2014.

The film is said to be different from usual vijay films as this is an adventure film mixed with fantasy. Kaththi was vijay’s 57th film and after its grand success Vijay seems to have decided to do variety films. Kaththi was different from usual Vijay films and the appreciation he got made him think more seriously about choosing the right script. Vijay is now on a success trail as his previous two films Jilla and Kaththi had become smashing hits. In Jilla as you all know he got the chance and luck to work with the complete actor of Indian cinema, our own Mohanlal.

In the upcoming film we will once again see Vijay in double role after ‘Kaththi’. Vijay will play the role of hero and hero’s father. The film will have a fantastic star cast including actress Sreedevi in a key role. The news was confirmed by Sreedevi’s husband and Bollywood film producer/director Bony kapoor. Sreedevi who made a grand comeback into films with ‘English Vinglish’ is coming back to tamil cinema  after a long period of time. Sreedevi  going to do the role of a princess in the film and she had great screen space in this film to perform. Its said that she will be in the flashback scenes in the film. Sreedevi last acted in tamil films almost 28 years back. She did  a film named ‘Naan Adimai Illai’  with  Rajinikanth and the film was directed by legendary Kannada actor-filmmaker Dwarakish. That was way back in 1986. In 2012 ,she came back to Bollywood with Englisg vinglish which got great response at the box office and it pleased critics too.

The news is that Shruthi Haasan and Hansika will be a part of the cast list and  AR Rahman will  composes music . PT Selvakumar and Shibu of Thameens Films will jointly produces the film and the unofficial news is that the film is titled as ‘Mareesan’.

Varsham Review

Varsham is one of the much awaited movie of the year and everyone had high expectations on the film. It was mainly because of two factors. One is that it is directed by Renjith Shankar who is fresh from the success of his last film ‘Punyalan Agarbatis’ with jayasurya and the second factor is the hero of Varsham, Megastar Mammootty is on a comeback trail after he had some horrible times in the last four years. The appreciation he got for his performance in Munnariyippu and an average success of his last film Rajadhi Raja made this film Varsham all of importance for him. He is the producer of the film too.

Varsham tells the story of Venu who is running a finance company called Anand Finance. Anand is the name of his only son. Venu and wife,played by Asha Sarath, leading a rich life  with their son. They don’t have much of a respect  towards the lower class of the society and they have high hopes on their son. They want to make him a doctor and at the same time urges him to be the numero uno in everything he does. Venu also plays some dirty tricks to accumulate wealth in his company for his son. He had some friends who is working on the finance field and we are shown that they have some kind of jealousy towards the growth of Venu’s business company.

But unexpectedly Venu’s son died of cardiac arrest and that shattered all his dreams and life. From that moment his attitude to life has changed and in the mean time his rivals are in pursuit to take over his Anand finance. Later the film shows Venu’s efforts to do good in life in the name of his son and how he managed to win the hearts of the people.

Varsham is a highly emotional melodrama which is more focused on making a serious story telling than to entertain the audience. Because of that, film is lagging in most parts and its not likely to be a  smashing hit or something like that. All artists were performed well and hats off to Mammukka for his wonderful transformation as Venu. What pull the film a little backward is the script and direction of Renjith Shanker to be honest. The script was good but do not had enough depth to make the audience to move with the story.

Direction also was not as good as he did in Punayalan Agarbathis. Story is highly predictable  and overdose of emotion made it too slow for the audience to digest. Technical sides and music was good but not extra-ordinary. On the whole ‘Varsham’ is a film that failed to live up-to the the level of expectation it has raised but not a disappointing affair from Renjith Shanker. It could have been better if a little bit more effort was taken to make the script and the emotional level was on a digestible mark.  Its not a paisa vasool film who wants to get entertained but its an above average affair who is a serious film follower.

Hit maker Siddique is coming back after Ladies and Gentleman starring Mohanlal. This time he roperd in Megastar Mammootty and  is all set to start his next project with the mega star in the lead . The movie titled as ‘Bhaskar the Rascal’ will go on floors by second week of December. Siddique-Lal due was the most successful film maker duo in Mollywood history as all of their films are super hits and record breakers. Later Siddique and Lal got separated on some personal issue and made films of their own. Lal also tried his hands at acting and now he is one of the most popular actor in mollywood who had won the state award for best actor two times.

While Siddique continued his golden run as a director and he had a dream debut in Bollywood with the film ‘Body Guard’ in which Salmankhan played the lead role. It was a runway success and record breaker in Bollywood that time. It was actually the remake of Malayalam film of the same name starring Dileep and Siddique remade it to Tamil also with Vijay in the lead titled as Kavalan. And the good news is that the most celebrated director duo of Mollywood history is once again coming together to make a film next year. Rumours says that Dileep will play the lead role in that film. Shooting of that film will start only after Siddique’s project with Mammootty which will be the 2015 vishu release of mammootty.

Siddique said that his upcoming project will be made in his trademark style, with hilarious comic situations, action, dance and music . He assures that it will be a family entertainer. As of now, the director  had not decided about who will play the role of heroine. Popular actors Harishree Ashokan and Janardhanan will  be a part of the film. Siddique and Mammootty had teamed up twice before, first time  for Hitler and then for  Chronic Bachelor. Both were super hit films of that time. Mammootty is now waiting  the release of Varsham in which he had high hopes on, which is  directed by Ranjith Shankar. He is currently acting in  Deepu Karunakaran’s  film Fireman and only after  it got completed  he will join  Bhaskar the Rascal. Siddique is currently doing the Television  comedy show Cinema Chirima in Mazahavil Manorama channel .

Telugu audience accepts Love In London

Love in London is the dubbed version of the Malayalam film London Bridge directed by Anil C Menon. The film does not received well at Kerala box office but now it is getting good responses in Telugu  box office. The Film was released as the first release of Prithvi Raj this year.

Prithvi was on a success trail with hit and critically acclaimed films like Ayalum Njanum Thammil, Celluloid, Mumbai police and Memories. He was at the peak of his career that time. But the fate of London bridge was not good. Eventhough the songs and trailer were become popular among the audience , the film will not got that appreciation from the spectators. People had high expectations from Prithvi and as far as they are concerned, that film was not up to their expectation level. Anil C menon was directed Hit films like Ben Johnson with Kalabhavan mani in the lead. Most of his films was action and political ones. He tried something new in London bridge. But it is bombed at the box office.

London bridge tells the story of Vijay, who lives in London. He struggled very hard to be successful there in his business. He is always after the money and When he is offered a marriage proposal  with the daughter of one of the multi –millionaire of London business world, he took  the offer and began to try his best to impress her. But on the same time, one day, he involved in a car accident in which his car hit a  a girl, who has come to London for a job of a nurse in a famous London hospital. In the course of the story he started feel attraction towards her and atlast fell in love with that girls . He have to choose his life between two girls named Pavithra (Andrea Jeremiah) and Merin (Nanditha Raj).

The film was scripted by Jinu abhraham and produced by  Satish B under the banner of Ordinary Films. The cast list  also include Lena, Sunil Sugada, Pratap Pothan, Mukesh and Prem Prakash. The DOP was Jithu Damodar and film is  edited by Praveen Prabhakar. The film’s music was handled by Rahul Raj, Sreevalsan J Menon and Gopi Sunder and the famous Central Pictures distributed it.
