Sunny Wayne and Shine Tom Chacko team up for Adithattu

Sunny Wayne and Shine Tom Chacko are set to play the lead roles in a new film titled ‘Adithattu’. Another actor named Jayapalan will also be seen in a prominent role. Jijo Anthony is directing the film and it is produced by Mini March Studios in association with Kanayil Films. Dulquer Salmaan unveiled its motion poster through his social media handle. Along with that he has akso wrote,

Here’s announcing Jijo Anthony’s next, Adithattu. All the best to Jijo, my dearest Sunnychan, Shine and Jayapalan for the project.

‘Adithattu’ is director Jijo Anthony’s second film with Sunny Wayne after ‘Pokkiri Simon’. He has also made two othwr films — ‘Konthayum Poonoolum’ and ‘Darvinte Parinamam’. ‘Adithattu’ is scripted by Khais Millen. From the motion poster, it looks like a film that will be shot majorly in the sea. Its core technical crew includes cinematographer Pappinu, music director Nezer Ahemed, editor Noufal Abdullah, makeup artist Renjith, costume designer Stephy Xavior and stunt choreographer Phoenix Prabhu.

Mohanlal wishes Vijay on his birthday by sharing Beast poster!

Tamil superstar Vijay is celebrating his birthday today. Just like every other, social media platforms especially Twitter is flooded with wishes from his fans worldwide. Industry insiders are also busy showering their love on the star. Malayalam superstar Mohanlal has wished by sharing the newly released poster of Vijay’s upcoming film ‘Beast’. Though Mohanlal and Vijay have worked together only once in ‘Jilla’, the two have always shared great camaraderie and mutual respect.

Meanwhile, birthday wishes continue to pour in for Vijay. Last day, a celebrity management company named The Route organized a Twitter spaces session to celebrate Vijay’s birthday. Thalapathy 65: Beast second look poster out

After unveiling the title and first look poster of Vijay’s upcoming film with Nelson Dilipkumar, the makers sprang a surprise by releasing the second look poster at midnight 12 AM. Titled as Titled as ‘Beast, the film reportedly has Vijay playing a con agent’s role. Both the posters have him holding guns. A helicopter in the backdrop hints that this will be an action-packed film made on a big scale. It is produced by Sun Pictures.

Major portions of ‘Beast’ has been planned to be shot abroad. Though the makers had started shoot in April in Georgia, they were forced to abandon works and return back home due to the second wave of pandemic. They are expected to resume shoot once the situation gets better and restrictions are lifted.

‘Beast’ has Pooja Hegde as the female lead. Malayali actors Shine Tom Chacko and Aparna Das are also part of the cast. Anirudh Ravichander is the music director and Manoj Paramahamsa handles the camera. The crew also includes editor R Nirmal, National award winning stunt choreographers AnbAriv, dance choreographer Jani and art director DRK Kiran.

Thalapathy 65 titled as Beast; First look poster features a gun-wielding Vijay!

As informed earlier, the title and first look poster of ‘Thalapathy 65’ has been unveiled today on Vijay’s birthday (June 22). Titled as ‘Beast, the first look features a stylish looking Vijay wielding a gun. The film is directed by ‘Kolamavu Kokila’ fame Nelson Dilipikumar. Interestingly, the director is also celebrating his birthday today.

‘Beast’ produced by Sun Pictures is being made as a big-budget action thriller. Vijay reportedly plays the role of a con-agent in the film. Major portions of it has been planned to be shot abroad. Kamal Haasan to do Papanasam 2 without Gautami?

Ever since the smashing success of ‘Drishyam 2’, there have been talks about it getting remade in Tamil. The film’s first part was remade by Jeethu Joseph as ‘Papanasam’ with Kamal Haasan as the lead. It is now reported that the star has expressed his interest to remake the second part as well. However, there will be one major change in the second part. Gautami, who played the role of female lead’s role, will not be part of ‘Papanasam 2’.

During the shoot of ‘Papanasam’, Kamal and Gautami were in a live-in relationship. However, the two chose to part ways an year after the film’s release. Since they are no longer together and don’t have cordial relations, Kamal doesn’t want it to affect the professional work. It is said to be the reason why Gautami is being replaced in the film. Meena, who played the female lead in ‘Drishyam 2’ as well as its Telugu version, is expected to be retained for the Tamil remake as well.

Aishwarya Lekshmi expresses her disappointment in Jagame Thandhiram not getting a theatrical release

Dhanush starrer ‘Jagame Thandhiram’ is currently streaming on Netflix. Though the film got released amidst high expectations, it has failed to live up to the hype as the reviews have largely been mixed. Many feel that the film was not suitable for an OTT watch as it wad designed clearly for a theatrical experience. The film’s lead actress Aishwarya Lekshmi also expressed her disappointment in the film not getting released in theatres. In a promotional interview, Aishwarya said that she was hoping to see the film from big screen but pandemic spoiled their plans.

The announcement regarding ‘Jagame Thandhiram’ skipping theatrical release came in as a big surprise for many. Though producer S Sashikanth of Y Not Studios tried his best for a theatre release, he could not wait further due to the heavy financial burden. Netflix had then offered a huge sum which he didn’t want to miss out. This even created a rift within the team. Dhanush and the producer unfollowed each other in Instagram and Twitter. Dhanush was also not very active with the promotions till the last few days before release.

Alphonse Puthren requests Kamal Haasan to reveal secrets from Michael Madhana Kama Raja; Kamal responds!

Recently, on the 13th anniversary of ‘Dasavatharam’, Kamal Haasan had shared some unknown details about the film and its making through his social media handle. Malayali filmmaker Alphonse Puthren commented under the post requesting Kamal to share similar details about his classic hit ‘Michael Madhana Kama Raja’ (MMKR). According to the ‘Premam’ director, ‘Dasavatharam’ is a PhD in filmmaking and MMKR is a degree course.

Alphonse wrote,

Kamal Haasan Sir .. Could you tell us how you shot for Michael Madana Kama Rajan in film . Dasavatharam … is like PHD in filmmaking . Micheal Madana Kama Rajan itself is like a Degree course sir .

Responding to Alphonse Puthren’s comment, Kamal Haasan replied back,

Thank you Alphonse Puthren . Will do soon.I dont know how much of a learning it will be for you. For me it was, as I had mentioned, a master class. Talking about it after years teaches me new lessons.

Alphonse then replied thanking Kamal for the response. He commented,

‘MMKR’ directed by Singeetam Srinivasa Rao got released in 1990. Kamal scripted the film, which is about quadruplets who get separated at birth and later cross paths as adults. Kamal himself played all the four lead roles. The film has a cult status among cinephiles as it is considered a phenomenal achievement to pull off a film like that during the 90s
