Jeethu Joseph’s next with Mohanlal is a big budget action-thriller that will be shot across various countries!

As reported by us earlier, the ‘Drishyam’ duo of Mohanlal and Jeethu Joseph are set to reunite. Their new film is getting ready to go on floors on December 18. Expectations will naturally be on the higher side since their last film, ‘Drishyam’, was a phenomenal success. While that film was a family-oriented thriller, Jeethu Joseph plans to make an unusual mass entertainer this time. According to him, it is a big budget film that will be shot across various foreign locations like Egypt, London and Istanbul.

In a recent interview, the director confirmed about teaming up with Mohanlal. He is quoted saying, “It’s not definitely not another Drishyam. I’m planning to make it as a mass movie, through not in the usual conventional style. It will be an action thriller with a realistic touch. The story is set in several countries which makes it a big budget film.”

Popular South Indian actress Trisha will be seen as Mohanlal’s wife in this film. Durga Krishna of ‘Vimaanam’ fame has reportedly been cast as Trisha’s sister. Jeethu Joseph is currently in London for location scouting. Official announcement will be made as soon as the director finalizes the other cast and crew members.

Jeethu Joseph meanwhile is awaiting the release of two of his films – ‘Thambi’ and ‘The Body’. ‘Thambi’ starring Karthi and Jyothika in the lead roles is a family-oriented thriller while ‘The Body’ is the official Hindi remake of popular Spanish flick, ‘El Cuerpo’. Emraan Hashmi, Sobhita Dhulipala and Vedhika play the lead roles in it.

Prithviraj takes a 3-month long break to reduce weight for Aadujeevitham!

Director Blessy and Prithviraj have been working on their ambitious film ‘Aadujeevitham’ for over two years now. The film is based on Benyamin’s award winning novel of the same name. is being shot over various schedules as Prithviraj needs to be appearing in multiple looks. The actor has now taken a three month long from work to trim down and achieve the malnourished look that the lead character in ‘Aadujeevitham’ demands.

Last day, after the completion of his new film ‘Ayyappanum Koshiyum’, the actor took to his social media handle to pen down a note in which revealed about taking his first such break in his 20-year-long acting career. His post reads,

That’s a wrap for me on #AyyappanumKoshiyum today. And as I travel back from the location, I realise lying ahead of me is something I’ve not known for almost the last 20 years. For the next 3 months, I’m taking a break from cinema. A break!!! Day after day of waking up and not having to get into the mindset and leave for the day’s shoot. Yes, the break in itself is part of an exercise for one of the most ambitious projects of my life, #Aadujeevitham. But 3 straight months of not being involved with the actual process of filming, seems like from a distant, faded memory. I don’t know if I’m happy or a little intimidated by the prospect. But I know two women who’ll be elated about it. And they are waiting for me to get back home as I write this. It’ll be way beyond bedtime for one of them by the time I reach..but I’m hoping Mamma will let her stay up as it’s Sunday tomorrow. Ahead in the immediate future, is the release of our 2nd home production #DrivingLicense. It’s easily one of of the most interesting mainstream scripts that I’ve been part of and it’s a special film for me and our company. So see you all at the theatres on this 20th! #DaadaComingHome

‘Aadujeevitham’ is about the life of an abused migrant worker, Najeeb Mohammed, who is stranded in the middle of deserts in Saudi Arabi. The lone man undergoes different experiences from seclusion, emotional conflicts and survival struggles. It is a very challenging character and Prithviraj is expected to deliver his best. AR Rahman is making his comeback after nearly three decades with this film.
