Will Ennu Ninte Moideen break Premam collection ?

If we look at the last 2-3 years in the box office collections and successes of Malayalam cinema we can find out that there has been a great hike in the revenue it has been generating in the box office. It has been really started in the year 2013 December when Mohanlal starrer film Drishyam was released directed by Jeethu Joseph. The film had got astonishing word of mouth and people flowed to the theaters. The reports also suggested that it had really bring to theaters the people who even stopped viewing films in theater from years ago.

That was the impact of that film and when people began to see the film four or five times, the collection went high and it had demolished all collection record ever existed in Malayalam cinema history. It had created a new everest of collection record in Mollywood which seem really difficult to climb for other films. It was raked in a revenue of more than 75 crores from theater collection as well as other revenues. Then came Bangalore Days, later Premam and now Ennu Ninte Moideen which is on its way to create new records.

Bangalore Days, a multi starrer came in the next year after Drishyam made record it made a record revenue of over 40 crores to attain the second spot below Drishyam in collection records. This year came Premam starring Nivin Pauly which also did unbelievable business in box office and got to the second spot below Drishyam toppling Bangalore Days by amassing a revenue around 60 crores in total.

Now Prithviraj starrer Ennu Ninte Moideen is on its course to that top list of box office successes with great box office collections. The film has got the best word of mouth after Drishyam and getting excellent gross from theaters. From 9 days only it had made more than 10.5 crores and as per stats it is doing a better business than what Premam did at that time. If it can continue its course like that for a month from now it can come really close to breaking the Premam collection record or may be in the long run it can break the Premam record. All depends upon how it fares at box office after other major releases which is coming its way.

Mammootty was the distributor of Asif Ali’s debut film Ritu directed by Shyamaprasad. Asif saw Mammootty really close in person at that time. Later when Mammootty for the first time produced a film on his own named Jawan Of Vellimala, Asif Ali was also given a key role in that film. And when Asif Ali had produced Kohinoor, Mammootty came as the chief guest at the audio launch ceremony of the film. Asif remembers an incident from the audio launch ceremony of Kohinoor when Mammootty took Asif’s little son Adam and placed him in his lap. And then he saw Mammootty giving him some sweets with great love and care. Asif said, that sight was really awesome and it had really made him happy and made him more and more attached to Mammootty as a person.

Asif said that Mammootty is a gem of a person and what people tells about him outside like he is arrogant or something like that is absolutely wrong. He knows that because he interacted with him very closely. He has great respect and admiration for mammootty from his childhood and Mammootty also considered him very close by giving advice to him in the time of his marriage as well as when he started his own production venture.

Ennu Ninte Moideen is really ringing the money bells at Kerala box office very loudly now as the collection of the film is increasing day by day with astonishing word of mouth. The film which grossed only an above average 80 Lakhs on its first got fabulous mouth publicity from the audience and from the second day onwards it really took off to heights as far as the box office collection is concerned.

From first five days it had grossed above 5 crore and above. Then came some continuous holidays as well as a part of the Bakrid celebrations in Kerala and that gave the film a great boost in its box office collections. Now it is not only the best ever character in Prithviraj’s career till now but also the biggest hit of his career as well in films which he played the solo hero. He had blockbusters like Classmates which grossed above 20 crore in box office but that cannot be called his solo blockbuster as it had actors like Jayasurya and Indrajith who had played key roles along with him even though Prithviraj was the hero. Now the holidays are over and we have to wait and see how the working days respond to the theater rush of this film.

Mohanlal starrer film Puli Murugan directed by Vysakh is in the news right from the time of its announcement. The shooting of the film is going on in and around the forest area near Kothamangalam. The major portions of the film will be shot in forests of Pooyam Kutti area and also many forest parts near it. The filming is going on it secrecy as they don’t want the leaking of photos from the shooting set.

As per reports there is a lot of suspense in the film around the character of Mohanlal and also the characters played by other artists. There are lot of exciting news as well as some negative news also came about the film and now a news breaking in which says that Kerala High Court had issued a stay on the filming of Pulimurugan. The order by high court is based on a petition filed by one person named Noushad who is living near the forest area of Pooyam Kutti.

He accuses that the shooting process of the film will damage the eco system in and around forest and it will also harmful for the forest area and the nature there. He accuses in the petition that the art section of the film is using plastic and rubber to make sets for filming and it will make imbalance in the eco system of the forest and it will result in the pollution of the nature. The crew was shooting the climax portion of the film there for few days and there was rumor that they may use fire for creating a blast scene in the climax portion and it may also can cause damage to the forest area.

So the court had ordered the Malayattoor DFO to enquire about the matter said in the petition and to submit a detailed report very quickly. After studying the report by the Malayattoor DFO court will decide upon the stay which had issued blocking the filming of the much awaited movie of this year.

SS Rajamouli, the name now on the lips of every Indian film lover is all set to astonish as once again after the Baahubali spectacle. He had conceived Baahubali with a whopping budget of 250 crore rupees and the film had already raked in close to 700 crore rupees from its worldwide gross. The second as well as the final part of the film is coming next with the title Baahubali-The Conclusion. But as per the reports coming from the trustable sources from Tollywood, the master director is all set for a 1000 crore film up next and it is titled as Garuda.

SS Rajamouli had made Baahubali with amazing perfection and the visual spectacle that provide in front of each and every viewer in India was just unbelievable. Nayanthara is playing the role of the wife of Mammootty’s character. Theirs was a love marriage and that too a marriage that created some problems as they are from different religion. Mammootty’s character, who is an advocate named Louis is a Christian and Nayanthara’s character named Vasuki is a Hindu girl. Advocate Louis Pothen is a communist and he doesn’t believe in these kind of separation in the name of religion or something like that. But the interesting thing about the film is that Nayanthara joined the film changing all her rules which she follows in her career for some years.

Nayantara is one of the leading actress in Kollywood and she had a lot of projects there. So she deliberately decided that she will do a Malayalam film once in two years. But this year she changed that all for this Mammootty starrer. She had already acted along with Mammootty this year in Siddique directorial film named Bhaskar The Rascal which released in this April and was a success as well.

Ennu Ninte Moideen is going through a dream run at box office as well as in its impact among the audience in Kerala. Even the makers could not have dream about such a reception for the film and it was really something we say the class turned mass. The film which is a classic portrayal of a real life immortal love story between Moideen and Kanchanamala had made such an impact among the viewers that they are now making them the idols of love.

Young actress Jyothi Krishna is now on cloud nine as her latest release named Life of Josootty directed by Jeethu Joseph in which she is paired opposite popular actor Dileep is running successfully with great audience response. Even though she acted about almost 8 films earlier this might be the one which seems to be giving her a break in her career as the character named Rossi she played has had the depth as well strength to enthrall the audience. She did a great job too while playing the inner conflicts of the character. Onlookers Media had a chance to chat with her exclusively and here is the full interview we had with Jyothi Krishna.

Congrats first of all for the success of Josootty and how did you really came to this project.?

Thank you everyone for accepting and appreciating me. Jeethu sir had this project in mind while he was filming Drishyam 2 years back. So I send him some photos of mine and after seeing it he said that there is a character in his next film and my looks really suits that character. In fact I had come into this project almost 2 years before.

Jyothi Krishna Interview-Life of josootty actress

You had made your entry through the film Bombay March 12. Later done almost 8 films and most of them were offbeat films. Did you really planned it, to stay away from commercial films..?

Not at all. Never want to stay away from commercial cinema. Just wanted to make sure that even if I am doing a commercial cinema, the character I get to play have some identity and depth. But while trying that I ended up in acting many offbeat films which gave some powerful characters for me to perform.

Does that made you feel sad when you continuously got only offbeat films and not commercial films..? Because a heroine’s reach among audience only gets increases by acting in commercial films. What’s your thought?

Yes I was a bit sad when I got only one kind of films to do in my career. I really wanted to do good commercial films. But everybody called me only for those kind of films about which we say the so called ‘Award film’. I deliberately rejected many such films as well and now it feels good that Josootty came at the right time for me and am getting appreciated.

Jyothi Krishna Interview-Life of josootty actress

You acted in the Ranjith film named Njan and it had got great appreciation in the national level as well. Your character was also appreciated very well. How was the response you got after that..?

There was great response for that character. Many popular directors and filmmakers called me and appreciated greatly. But the sad thing was that everyone appreciated but no one offered any roles to me. It was really a sad time for me. Then I just believed that it was all because of my bad time.

What about the character you played in Life Of Josootty..?

The character name in this film is Rossi and she is working in New Zealand. I had played the role of Dileep’s wife in this film and there was some suspense in this character as well. That’s all about my character, to know more watch at the theaters.

Jyothi Krishna Interview-Life of josootty actress

Worked with Dileep in this film as his heroine. Usually every heroine says that working with Dileep is very comfortable. Dileep also does a comic kind of roles in all films. But you got the chance to stand opposite him while he was playing a class role and what about that experience..?

It was really a great experience. I really came to this film hearing that Dileep is a lucky hero for heroines as whoever works with him as his heroine has done big in this industry. And it was great to work with him. I was a little nervous to start with because my character is more bold, mature and a bit serious than that of Dileep’s Josootty. To stand opposite such a big star playing such a role was really a test for me. But he and Jeethu sir made be comfortable and they were super supportive. If my performance was good as Rossi, then half of the credit must go to Jeethu Sir and Dileep sir.

Now everybody wants to know about one man, Pranav Mohanlal who was really a newsmaker as he was the assistant director of this film and getting great appreciation from people like Jeethu Joseph and Kamal Haasan as well.Share your experience with him..

Appu (Pranav Mohanlal)  is a perfect role model that we can show to all youngsters. His dedication and simplicity is really great to watch and is ready to do any work without carrying the air of the son of a super star. He will do whatever work given to him with utmost perfection and he even got ready to do works which he does not have to do as an assistant director. And his behavior with others was also very impressive as he knows how to behave to people. In front of grown up people he is like a grown up man. And among us he is the real cute child in his behavior. He has great talent in him and surely he will become a great director.

What about future projects..? Did you committed anything as of now..?

No, I had not committed any projects as of now. But many offers are coming my way. But this time I will have to choose the right one. The success of Life of Josootty was really a re-entry for me and I don’t want to spoil it by any bad selection. And thank you once again for accepting me and my character and hope that you all will support me all through my career. Thank You.

Director Siddique has always said that he is a huge admirer of Mohanlal as an actor and as a person as well. Both of them share a great bond between them as well. Siddique in an interview to a popular film magazine recently said that when we look at Mohanlal he looks like an ordinary Malayali. He is not that handsome in looks and his voice is also not so powerful. He is physic is also just like an average Malayali. But the output he provides from that is just terrific and the power of which is really unmatchable.

Siddique said that it was them (Siddque and Lal) had recommended Mohanlal’s name to Fazil when Fazil was searching a newcomer for playing character of Sreekumar in Nokketha Doorathu Kannum Nattu. From that time Mohanlal was just like their own brother. Siddique says that Mohanlal is born to give love to everyone. He is that much simple and humble and never carries with him the air of superstardom. He is down to earth to every people he met and his care for others is just astonishing. May be the friendship with him is one f the most precious thing for them to cherish all their life.

Siddique says that Mohanlal as an actor is unmatchable and he is like an addiction for every director who worked with them. We never wants to leave his company and it will be a moment of sadness for everyone in a film set when Mohanlal leaves after the last shot of the film. That much love and care he gives everyone and everyone who once met him had become his huge fan. Siddique says that Mohanlal can control his emotions unbelievably well and he never things too much about success and failures.

The perfection with he does the characters we gives to him is fabulous and he can do nay roles and any type with utmost perfection can make it the best ever. He conceives every characters with utmost variety and then reproduce them with great perfection which we other actors can only dream about. Mohanlal can create wonder even from a scene in which he has nothing to do. He has the amazing charisma in him which makes us even see only him from a crowd if he is in between them. Siddique says that Mohanlal never says no to his director and he will do everything they ask him to do even if it was an utmost difficult shot.

Siddique also said that Mohanlal creates magic in front of the camera and when he can feel it standing behind the camera then there is no wonder audience get mesmerized in that magic by this wonder called Mohanlal. Siddique says that Mohanlal is the real superstar who can control everything in Mollywood till he decides it is time to quit.
