Premam now holds the opening week collection record in Mollywood

We have already reported that Alphonse Puthren directorial, Nivin Pauly starrer romantic comedy flick that hit the screen all over on May 29 has been cruising at Box office great word of mouth from the people and terrific gross collection as well. The film on the way to become one of the biggest hits in Mollywood and according to the reports given by the trade analyst Sreedhar Pillai via Twitter the flick has hot rupees 10 crore 30 lakhs gross collection from the 7 days of its theater run all over.

It had already broked the record hel by the Multi star Blockbuster Bangalore Days that released last year directed by Anjali Menon and starred by young stars of Kerala like Nivin Pauly, Dulquer Salmaan, Nazriya nazim and Fahadh Faasil. The box office gross of Bangalore days has been 8.5 crore as per stats in the first week of its release. Premam with a collection over 10 crore from is first week there by can be called a super hit of this year and now it is sailing strongly towards blockbuster status which will be Nivin Pauly’s second this year and the consecutive one too.

Before the release of Bangalore Days the first week collection record was holded by Jeethu Joseph directorial Mohanlal starrer film Drishyam which came to hit the silver screens in 2013 December. Being a family film without any masala entertainment elements Drishyam took Kerala box office by storm after its first week due to never seen never before mouth publicity and ended up as the biggest and greatest ever blockbuster in Malayalam film industry and critically also it created a wave all around India as one of the best ever on Indian screen and it had already remade to 4 other Indian languages as well. The Tamil and Hindi version will release in the next Month.

The shows of Premam had increased at many centers all over and it gives the hope that the film will do well in its second week as well and pose a threat to the records created by Drishyam and Bangalore Days which are standing at the first and second position at the top of the table respectively.

Online made super stars on the floor

0

Our Malayalam film industry is witnessing somewhat a unique kind of phenomenon for past few days. Can you guess what is that..? It is something funny and at the same time awkward. The thing happening in our online medias is that they are making a super star out of the blue and now- a-days they calls anyone with a success a Super Star. As far as this is concerned we don’t really know what is the mindset behind this trend but we are sure of one thing that whoever making this trend had some mental problems for sure.

How a star rises in our industry..? Now that is a relevant question and the answer to which is very relevant in the current scenario. A super star is the one who can bring people to the theater with his name. A super star is one who can make a film successful with his performance alone even if the film lacks quality. A super star is one who can deliver hits for a long time consistently and a super star is one who perform in almost every kind of films and deliver success through all of that flicks.

In that sense we have only two super stars in our Industry. Mr.Mohanlal and Mr. Mammootty and they are our super stars for the past 30+ years and the central pillers of our industry. But now-a-days anyone who gets 2 or 3 back to back hits is called a super hits and the most funny thing is that even they can’t believe what this online medias are doing. They are now in a situation just like we saw the character of innocent in the film ‘Kilukkam’ who got cheated by the character of Revathy who tells him that he had won a lottery of 10 lakhs and Ambassador car.

The point here to be noted that these so called stars have hits but if we check the variety of the characters they had done in these hit films it will be different only in the names of the characters they played. The variety of characters played by Mohanlal and Mammootty during the years in which they rose to stardom is astonishing. Particularly in the case of Mohanlal the character variety and the number of hits he had given through various types of cinema is incomparable in our Indian film industry.

But still our medias which either gone mad or pretending to be mad compares these upcoming youngsters with Mohanlal and in one of the post against comparing a young star with Mohanlal it is said that someone had made a century in the school ground and right away he is compared with Sachin Tendular. In fact that was an apt one for it.

There was Suresh Gopi, Jayaram, Dileep, Prithviraj and in 80’s and 90’s actors like Shankar and Rahman had many hits and all called them the next super stars. Many of them are not even here now and many of them are struggling at the bottom of the table. But still Mohanlal and Mammootty is here like Kings and will be here forever.

All this buzz may be a promotion trick from medias but it will really affect the careers of these youngsters just like what happened in Indian cricket sometime back. If a young player plays well straight away compares him with Sachin and dravid and then we see he fails to perform up to expectations and finds himself out of the team.

Online terrorism against Ansiba Hassan’s Facebook post

0

Actress Ansiba Hassan had posted a photo on her Facebook page and in that photo she is standing with some children who has been from a monastery or something like that and their attire shows that they are the believers of Budhism. She took a photo with them as it was happy moment for her to meet those children and she shared it through her Facebook page.

But the reaction from some section of people was just terrible to say the least to this photo. They are from a particular religious group and they are abusing Ansiba Hassan with really bad and vulgar words . Many of the comments had come from Bangladesh and they are abusing her only because she had took a photo with people who are from other caste. Ansiba Hassan is a muslim and they cannot tolerate when she took a picture with some children who is of other religion, Budhism to be precise.

This is a kind of online terrorism and one which spreads hatred between religious communities. We are living in India and our country is a secular democratic republic. We don’t think of the differences of caste and creed and we only thinks that we are Indians and human beings. But some people from outside and also some lunatics who are thinking like outsiders trying all their ways to spreads hatred in our country based on religion and this was a latest example of that filthy attitude.

They are commenting on ansiba’s post as “I hate you ansiba” and as we said earlier this hatred is only because she had stood for a picture with children belong to another caste. Even in Holy Koran there is not a word which says that muslims have to keep themselves aloof from other people. But some people misinterpret all this holy sayings to their advantage and trying to unsettle the communal and religious harmony we are enjoying in our country.

Ansiba Hassan is an educated girl and she thinks beyond the boundaries of caste and creed like all educated men and women do. People like them there is no difference between Hindu or Muslim or Christain or Budhist. They treat all as their fellow beings and a part of their life. Those people who is barking against this harmony may be uneducated idiots or people with unstable mind. Either way they are terrorist who tries to destroy a society who lives in absolute harmony. Let’s Support Ansiba and make the online terrorist bow down before our will.

An extra ordinary one in Tamil for Mammootty

0

Mollywood mega star Mammootty is all set to act in a Tamil film this year and the flick will be directed by Ram who had famous for his film Thanga Meengal which had won the national award for best film in Tamil. According to the news they are planning to start the shoot of the film by the second week of October and Octobr 15 th to be precise. They also said that the planning is to release the film by the end of this year.

Earlier some reports also came in from certain sources is that a Young star from Kollywood has been roped in to play the villain role in this film against Mammootty who will play the lead in this film. But now it seems to be a rumour as there is no report about that. About the cast, Actress Anjali will play the female lead opposite Mammootty in this flick and a the title of the film is not yet decided and it will be announced without much delay according to reports.

Sources also reports that Yuvan Shankar Raja will handle the musical department of the movie and other crew members have not been finalized.  Director Ram is currently doing a tamil film named Taramani and soon after he finishes his work in that film he will be get ready to start the film with Mammootty. The film tells the story of a man falling in love with a transgender prostitute and it will be a remarkable one for Mammootty.

And Mammootty also is busy with his mollywood projects and he is busy with Uttopyayile Rajavu which is directing by Hit maker Kamal. Jewel Mary is playing the female lead in this film. After completing Uttopyayile Rajavu, mammootty will join the sets of White directed by newcomer Uday Aanathan. He had already completed projects like Achan Din and Pathemary which is waiting for release.

Mammootty has acted around 14 Tamil films in his long career and most of the films had done great at Kollywood box-office. The famous among those is definitely Thalapathy directed by Indian cinema’s master craftsman Mani Ratnam in which Mammootty had shared screen space with Rajinikanth and which is a great success at Box office. Other notable flicks acted by Mammootty in tamil are Azhakan, Anandham, Kandu Konden Kandu Kondein etc.

Samrajyam 2 Review

‘Samrajyam 2’ after a lots of postponement and delays got released today all over. The film is conceived by the kollywood director named Perarasu and starred by Young actor Unni Mukundan. This was Perarasu’s first mollywood film and he had earlier done film with Mammootty in Tamil. The film was a sequel to the Mollywood hit film named Samrajyam which was released in 1990 directed by Jomon and starred by Mammootty. This film begins from where the above mentioned first part of it ends. In that film the lead Character named Alexander who is a don dies at the climax of the film and this film tells its story through the son of Alexander played by Unni Mukundan.

When the film announced with Unni Mukundan in the lead there was an air of intolerance occurred around the film at that time because when there is a young star like Dulquer Salmaan is in the industry why the crew had chosen Unni Mukundan to play the lead role and the question had raised from Mammootty fans as they love to see Dulquer as Alexander the reel life Son of his Father Mammootty. But anyway the film got started and completed its filming without much delay . But it has used almost 25 crore rupees to complete and touted as the biggest budget film ever made in mollywood after Pazhassi Raja.

Perarasu is a director who had directed hits like Thirupathi and Shivakashi in Tamil and he is the one who written the script for this film as well. And to be honest the film is a disaster and it had nothing to offer to the spectators. It is an absolute crap to say the least and it really bring defame to the first part as well by making such a shit as its sequel. Samrajyam 2 is a damped squib and it is an absolute waste of all of your time and energy.

Unni mukundan tried his best as the lead but his character has nothing to do as the script was that weak and it cannot get weaker than this. We are not telling anything about the story because we didn’t find a proper one to tell you. The film is a logicless affair and bundle of age old clichés that we had seen in many action films. The songs, camera etc are pathetic and direction was terrible as well. Please consider this as warning and be way from the theaters showing Samrjayam 2.

Director : Perarasu

Premam will beat Drishyam says Liberty Basheer

0

Premam is just making waves at Kerala Box office and now a days in social Media there is a saying that ‘Love is not only blind but also ticketless’ which means Premam (love) is such a big hit that the ticket for the film is not available even after completing 4-5 days in theaters. The film had made Nivin Pauly the mst popular young star of Mollywood and now it is on its way to be the all -time blockbuster of Mollywood surpassing Bangalore Days and Drishyam.

The flick has released in 85 centers in Kerala and 80 other centers outside Kerala and got a great reception all over and from its four day run from Kerala alone it had made a producer’s share of Rupees 2 crore 35 lakhs 56 thousand rupees. This collection report is not official but managed to tell this by the news received from theaters. The total gross collection from the first five days is close to 6 crores and it had already broke the first five day collection record made by both Drishyam and Bangalore days.

The exhibitors federation president Liberty Basheer said that Premam may break collection records set by Drishyam and Bangalore Days as it had got great response from the very first show itself. Drishyam and Bangalore Days had started slowly and then gone to be the biggest hits of Mollywood. But Premam had a terrific start as well and that may help it to surpass the Drishyam record. Liberty Basheer who is also a theater owner said that still there is great rush for the film and at many places additional shows are included to control the crowd. Premam has also got the biggest initial collection of this year as well.

Drishyam had got over 3 crore in its first 4 days and by the third week that Drishyam went unbelievably well in box office and ended up collection above 60 crores from theaters all over. Bangalore Days had a producers share of 3.25 crore in its first 7 days and Premam will break it easily as it is already very close to that mark.

Nirnayakam Review

Nirnnayakam, the flick which had a lot of expectations right from the time of its announcement has released all over today and the flick had raised up to the level of expectations and more than that level. The V K Prakash directorial movie which had been penned down by the most celebrated and successful writing duo of Mollywood Bobby-Sanjay always has an air of great expectation surrounding it. It is due to the success which Bobby and Sanjay had got throughout their career. The protagonist of the film is played by young hero Asif Ali and actors like Nedumudi Venu, Sanusha, Saiju Kuruppu, Prem Prakash, Lena and Sudheer Karamana played some very important characters as well in this movie which is financed by Jose Simon and Rajesh George under the banner named Jairaj Films. It is distributed by Murali films in Kerala.

The film gives us the voice of the common malayali. The story starts with the character of Ajay played by Asif Ali who leaves from NDA as he thinks it was not his destiny to become a soldier even though he wanted to be a soldier in his childhood. Then he was in a confused state of what to do next and at that time his father calls him from Cochin who left him and his mother when he was only 5 years old. He is a an advocate in Kerala and he is in a weak condition due to blood cancer. So he calls his son to request him to help him in a born marrow transplantation operation which may save him. But he is not doing it to live long years. It is for getting his life a little prolonged to win a case that he is fighting now. And what is that case..? What is its importance..? How it become a turning point in Ajay’s life..? This is what the film tells you.

The film leaves you with an emotion which you can’t express in words. It tells us something which we all want to tell to this society or to this system. Our system needs a change and it is getting more and more dirty as each day pass by. Common man is suffering and his last resort is the judiciary. The film gives us hope that judiciary will be there for us. At the same time the flick is an eye opener for our executive system and the so called political parties who plays with the time and life of the common man. Democracy is said to be the rule for the people by the people and of the people. But now-a-days it is going in such a way that common people are suffering like slaves and they had no one to appeal to and no one to hear their voice for justice.

To say the least this was Asif Ali’s best ever performance and the best film he had done till now in his career. Asif seemed to be studied the character very well and he gave his all to the character and bring life to it with his fantastically modified set of acting skills. Asif had improved in a terrific manner and his under playing of emotions at some parts of the film was just superb and hats off to him for this matured yet highly energetic performance. The performances which really will made us spellbound has came from two men. They are Prem Prakash and Nedumudi venu. Both of them had just transformed as the characters and really made us feel that we are with them in their situation and after the climax part of the film in which Nedumudi Venu gives a little speech we will automatically stands up from our seats for a standing ovation.

But the real trump card of this flick is its terrific story line and unbelievably good scripting done by the master writers Bobby and Sanjay. With each film they are making us their ardent fans and this will also sure to bring them more and more recognition. V K Prakash also done a grreat job as he conceived the subject with so much precision and aesthetically beautiful. His tight yet flowing way of story telling really helped the flick a lot to go one step higher. M.Jayachandran’s songs and Ousepachan’s background scoring was very much apt to the mood of the film and Shehnad Jalal’s DOP was perfect as well as it really stood up to the aesthetic sense of the director and captured what the flick really want. The cuts by the experienced hands of Mahesh Narayan made the story telling a crisp and sharp one.

Nirnnayakam is the best film till date in 2015 which will go to Mollywood history as one of the classics of all-time. And we are not recommending you to watch it but insisting you all to watch it as soon as possible. Because cinema is not only about entertainment but also about enlightenment which can make our life better, our society better and our system a better one.
