Arjun Kapoor to release Muddy trailer today

The multilingual road-thriller ‘Muddy’ is gearing up for a worldwide theatrical release on December 10. With just over a left for the film to hit screens, the makers have decided to share its trailer. Bollywood star Arjun Kapoor will be releasing it today evening at 4 PM through his social media handles.

Directed by Dr Pragabhal, ‘Muddy’ is touted to be India’s first film based on off-road mud racing (4*4). As per the makers, it is a thrilling-adventurous film that will offer the movie-goers a new cinematic experience. The makers had earlier shared a teaser with stylized cuts, adrenaline-pumping background score and thrilling visuals of the mud racing.

The film stars Ridhaan Krishna and Yuvan in the lead roles. Anusha Suresh, Amit Sivadas Nair, Harish Peradi, I M Vijayan, Renji Panicker, Manoj Guinness, Sunil Sukhada, Shobha Mohan and many others are part of the supporting cast.

‘Muddy’ has its story written by director Pragabhal himself. He has penned the screenplay along with Mahesh Chandran and Sreenath Nair. The film has music scored by ‘KGF’ composer Ravi Basur and edits done by San Lokesh of ‘Ratsasan’ fame. KG Ratheesh is the cinematographer.

Tovino Thomas’ highly-anticipated superhero flick ‘Minnal Murali’ is coming out on Netflix on December 24 as a Christmas special. With hardly a month left for release, the OTT giant is planning extensive promotions for the biggie. A new trailer, which they call a bonus one, has just been released.

The 1.09-minute long trailer gives a glimpse of the antagonist character played by Tamil actor Guru Somasundaram. So far, the makers have deliberately kept him away from all the promos to raise the curiosity. This is the first time, his character is being introduced but even then it’s an ambiguous one without a proper shot of his face. Nothing much about the character is still known.

Directed by Basil Joseph, ‘Minnal Murali’ also stars Baiju Santhosh, Mammukoya, Arya Salim, Bijukuttan, debutante Femina George and many others. Sushin Shyam and Shaan Rahman have composed the music. Cinematographer Sameer Thahir and Hollywood-based action choreographer Vlad Rimburg are part of the technical team.

The makers of ‘Kaduva’ have released the film’s teaser. As expected, the film presents Prithviraj as a larger-than-life character as we see him beating the pulp out of cops in main road. The star hasn’t done a full-fledged action role for a long while, so fans are excited about it.

‘Kaduva’ marks the comeback of veteran filmmaker Shaji Kailas. Jinu V Abraham has scripted the film, which has Prithviraj playing a character named Kaduvakunnel Kuruvachan. Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi will be seen as the antagonist. The face off between Prithviraj and Vivek Oberoi is expected to be the film’s highlight. The two share great rapport after working together in Prithviraj’s directorial debut ‘Lucifer’.

‘Kaduva’ also stars Samyuktha Menon, Sai Kumar, Siddique, Arjun Ashokan, Baiju, Alencier Ley, Janardhanan, Aju Varghese, Rahul Madhav, Vijayaraghavan, Seema, Kochu Preman and Priyanka. The film has Jakes Bejoy handling the music department and camera cranked by Abinandhan Ramanujam. It is being produced by Prithviraj Productions along with Listin Stephen’s Magic Frames.

After a wait that lasted for over two years, ‘Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham’ is finally releasing in theatres tomorrow (December 3). As per the makers, the film is releasing in 4100 screens worldwide in 5 languages. Out of the 631 screens in Kerala, the film will be releasing in 626 of them. It has also been claimed that ‘Marakkar’ is the first Indian film to have entered the Rs 100 crore club with the pre-booking reservations alone.

‘Marakkar’ directed by Priyadarshan has superstar Mohanlal in the lead role. The cast also includes several well-known actors from various languages. Suniel Shetty, Arjun, Pranav Mohanlal, Keerthy Suresh, Manju Warrier, Kalyani Priyadarshan, Siddique, Prabhu, Baburaj, Mukesh, and Ashok Selvan will be seen in important roles.

Despite the multiple delays caused due to the pandemic, expectations on the film are still sky-high. It is most likely to take a record opening for a Malayalam film ever.

Kunchacko Boban and Arvind Swami are playing the main leads in a new Tamil-Malayalam bilingual film. Titled ‘Ottu’ in Malayalam and ‘Rendagam’ in Tamil, the film is helmed by Malayali filmmaker Fellini TP of ‘Theevandi’ fame. It is produced by Arya and Shaji Nadesan under the banner of August Cinema.

Kunchacko Boban, who is making his Tamil debut, after being active in the Malayalam industry for over two decades, is very excited about ‘Ottu’. According to him, it is the most expensive film in his career. It was filmed in Mumbai, Goa, Mangalore and Karwar over a span of 9 months. The makers have shot it simultaneously in Malayalam and Tamil.

The film scripted by S Sanjeev has been made a thriller. Since it is a Tamil-Malayalam bilingual, actors from both the languages are part of the cast. Telugu actress Eesha Rebba, noted for her roles in films like ‘Awe’ and ‘Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava’, is the female lead. Aadukalam Naren and Jackie Shroff have also essayed prominent roles.

Gokul Suresh, Namitha Pramod and Rahman team up for Ethire

A new Malayalam film titled ‘Ethire’ has been announced. It has Gokul Suresh, Namitha Pramod and Rahman as the leads. Vijay Nelliz and veteran Indrans will also be seen in prominent roles. Directed by Amal K Joby, the film looks like a mystery-thriller from the motion poster. The title ‘Ethire’ comes with the tagline ‘Columns of Mystery’, which further indicates the same.

Director Amal K Joby and Amal Dev KR have penned the film’s story. Sethu has written the screenplay and dialogues. Vishnu Narayanan is the cinematographer and music will be composed by Kedar. Editor Nikhil Venu, art director Sujith Raghav, costume designer Akshaya Premnath and makeup artist Rahim Kodungalloor are also part of the team.

The film’s shoot is expected to kick-start soon.

Mammootty’s CBI 5 boasts of a solid star cast!

The fifth installment of the popular CBI franchise got launched yesterday with a customary pooja ceremony. ‘CBI 5′ (tentative title) marks the reunion of the trio of Mammootty, script writer SN Swamy and director K Madhu. Swargachitra Appachan is producing the film.

CBI 5’ has Mammootty reprising the iconic role of investigating officer, Sethurama Iyer. Along with him, Mukesh and Sai Kumar will be reprising their characters, Chacko and Sathyadas, respectively. For the fifth edition, the makers have got a solid star cast comprising of Anoop Menon, Dileesh Pothan, Renji Panicker, Soubin Shahir, Asha Sarath, Ramesh Pisharody, Sudev Nair, Anna Reshma Rajan, Makavika Menon, Makavika Nair, Swasika, Ansiba Hassan, Prashanth Alexander, Jayakrishnan, Idavela Babu, Kottayam Ramesh, Azeez Nedumangad and Santhosh Keezhattoor.

On the technical side, Jakez Bejoy has been assigned as the music director and Akhil George is the DOP. The film’s shoot is planned to be completed in a single schedule in Ernakulam, New Delhi and Hyderabad.

Love Anthem: Here’s the teaser of second single from Radhe Shyam

The makers of Prabhas-Pooja Hegde starrer ‘Radhe Shyam’ have released the teaser of the second single. The Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam versions have music scored by Justin Prabhakaran and the Hindi version is composed by Mithoon, Amaal Mallik, and Manan Bhardwaj.

The Telugu version titled ‘Nagumomu Thaarale’ is sung by Sid Sriram. It has lyrics by Krishnakanth. Sid has also sung the Tamil verison, ‘Thiraiyaodu Thoorigai’, for which Karky has penned the lyrics.

‘Malarodu Saayame’ is the Malayalam title and it is sung by Sooraj Santhosh. Joe Paul is the lyricist. In Kannada, the song is titled ‘Naguvantha Thaareye’, and it is crooned again by Sooraj Santhosh. Arijit Singh has lent his voice for the Hindi track, ‘Aashiqui Aa Gayi’.

Radhe Shyam’ directed by Radha Krishna Kumar is said to be a period love story set in an European backdrop. The supporting cast also includes Malayaam actor Jayaram, Sachin Khedekar, Jagapathi Babu, Bhagyashree, Sasga Chettri, Priyadarshi Pullikonda, Murali Sharma, Riddhi Kapoor, Sasha Chettri, Sathyan and Kunaal Roy Kapoor.

‘Radhe Shyam’ is set to have a worldwide theatrical release on January 14, 2022.

As informed earlier, the makers of ’83’ have released the trailer online. The Kabir Khan directorial, which is based on India’s historic 1983 Cricket World Cup win, is hugely awaited by film lovers across the country. The film has Ranveer Singh playing the role of the legendary Kapil Dev, who was the Indian team’s skipper then. His real wife Deepika Padukone plays his on-screen wife as well.

From the trailer, we can see that the film is primarily about India’s stint in the 1983 World Cup held in Engalnd. Kapil’s team started off as underdogs before turning the tables and clinching the cup by beating the mighty West Indies in the final. The makers seem to have recreated the 80s and shot the cricket portions authentically. Aseem Mishra is the cinematographer and edits are being done by Nitin Baid. Music department is handled by Pritam and Julius Packiam (score).

’83’ has a huge star cast comprising of actors like Pankaj Tripathi, Jiiva, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Saqib Saleem, Ammy Virk, Jatin Sarna and Harrdy Sandhu among others. The film is scheduled for a grand worldwide theatrical release on December 24, 2021.

The Venkat Prabhu directorial ‘Maanaadu’ has opened to excellent response from all corners. Starring Simbu and SJ Suryah as the two leads, the film is a political thriller with a fascinating time loop concept. It is a first such attempt in Tamil cinema and the film has been lapped up by both critics and the common audience.
