Yesudas refused to sing at the Gandhi Jayanthi Celebration

The Gana Gandharvan, Shri Yesudas refused to accept the request to sing at the Gandhi Jayanthi Celebration along with the students who were present for singing for the same. This unfortunate incident happened at the Deshathinayi Paadu or Sing For The Nation event which was organised in connection with Gandhi Jayanthi Celebration. It is known from sources that the organisers of the programme requested Yesudas saying the same lot of times but he commented not to compel him for singing. This behaviour of him made the children at the event feel bad as they thought they would get a chance of singing along with the greatest singer alive, Yesudas. The event was organised at the Central Stadium on Gandhi Jayanthi Celebration. Following the event there were other musical programmes handled by other famous singers like Sudeep Kumar, Rajalakshmi etc.

When Yesudas was requested to sing, he was adamant about his decision that he will not sing, the reasons behind it is still unknown as Yesudas never did something like this before. Yesudas sang at the Soorya Festival this year too as he performed a concert some days back. May be there are some other reason for this great singer’s refusal. Anyway the refusal has been heartbreaking for the children present at the stadium who dreamt of singing along with Yesudas on the eve of Gandhi Jayanthi. And it’s also known that Yesudas did not even care to have a glance at the children or wave to them and the people who came to attend the event. This strange behaviour of Yesudas left the audience shell-shocked.

There are also reports that the organisers of the event, Kerala Public Relations and Informations requested Yesudas to go on to the ground to meet the children who came to sing but he refused it at first and later agreed to do so after much requesting. But he was in his car and did not even care to get down from the car as the stadium was full of mud after yesterday’s rain as per sources.

So is this the popularity or fame which has made a singer like Yesudas to behave like this or else is there any other explanation or reason which we are missing out from this whole event ? As this is getting discussed everywhere hope this master of singing comes up with his say on what has happened and give us some clarity about the news that is spreading.

Why Kamal Haasan is acting in advertisement ?

Kollywood superstar and universal hero Kamal Haasan is doing his first commercial advertisement in his career. He never endorsed any brand in his career that spanning more than 5 decades and he only appeared in advertisements which aimed at public service by the Government. Kamal Haasan is one of the most valuable star in India and it is quite a wonder why he never done an advertisement in his career. Other Tamil Superstar Rajinikanth also never done any advertisement for long years as well. But now Kamal Haasan has decided to do one advertisement. He is now shooting for the first commercial of his career in and around Chennai city. He is endorsing the famous textile brand of Pothys. He is 60 years old now and he has been in films since he was just around 10 years old as a child artist.

The managing director Pothys group, S Ramesh said that they are in touch with the actor for past two years and it is now that he agreed to do the commercial for them and thereby endorse their brand. He said kamal Haasan took his own time to take a decision after they reached to him with the appeal to endorse their brand. He also informed that Kamal Haasan will endorse the entire brand of Pothys.

But S Ramesh does not provided the details about how much money they are giving to Kamal Haasan as a remuneration for endorsing their brand. He said that the commercial is directing by Krishna Kumar Ramkumar and it will be aired on the Diwali day as well. The shooting is already going on. Kamal Haasan will be seen in a smart suit in the commercial and Gibran is roped in to compose the background score for the advertisement. The shoot is going on in a resort near Chennai says the director Ramkumar.

But the sources also says that Kamal Haasan will be very selective in signing new commercials because he is very busy with his shooting schedules as many of his films coming back to back. Thoongavanam is almost ready for release and after that Vishwaroopam also will come.

Mohanlal to do the role of Bheema in SS Rajamouli’s Garuda ?

Earlier we reported that master director SS Rajamouli is all set to do a 1000 crore film named Garuda after the completion of the film Baahubali- The Conclusion which he is doing now. Baahubali part 2 will be releasing on next year October. After that he will start the work of Garuda and he is planning it as a 2018-2019 project. The screenplay of this magnum opus is also writing by his father Vijayendra Babu who wrote Baahubali and Bajrangi Bhaijaan.

We also reported that there is a high chance that Malayalam Superstar Mohanlal will play a key role in the SS Rajamouli film as per reports even though the cast and crew details of that film is not yet revealed. But the rumor is on and doing its round because SS Rajamouli recently said that he is a hardcore fan of Mohanlal and want to make a film with him. And the reports also came in that time that SS Rajamouli and Mohanlal had talked about a project after and they had come to an agreement as well. But now another report from some sources are coming that Mohanlal will play the epic character of Bheema in Bahubali movie Garuda.

The sources said that Rajamouli is planning the film Garuda in the backdrop of our epic Mahabharatha and Mohanlal will be roped in as the one to play the character of Bheema. Earlier there was a plan to make M.T Vasudevan Nair’s novel Randamoozham as a film and Mohanlal was chosen to play the lead character in it and it was that of Bheema as the novel is the depiction of Mahabharatha based on the character of Bheema. But later that project got shelved as M T wanted it is to be made in two parts and director Hariharan who was chosen to direct the film wanted to make it in only a single part.

There are now talks going on to restart the project and Mohanlal seems to be the Bheema in the mind of new director Sreekumar as well.

Puli not up to the standard : Theater attacked by fans

Puli which came with high expectation all over has made the fans and film lovers angry by its bad rendition. This Ilayathalapathy starrer was released on October 1st making a lot of controversies and is receiving negative reviews all over. As it is not up to the standard, the theatres are getting attacked by fans in various ways. As per sources, the fans at Vijaya theater left after the first half of the show . This attack by fans are also getting discussed in social media platforms that after Sura this would be Vijay’s worst work ever.

The fans were waiting to receive this movie in full celebration everywhere but some unexpected things happened including the raid that happened in the celebrity’s house. The raid that happened the day before its release made it tough and the fans were at the theatres by 5 am for the morning show. But the movie was released by noon, so the fans who were waiting from morning became restless by noon and this also did worst for the film. Being the first day the movie lost its momentum making everything fall apart.

As the fans are concerned, Vijay’s strongest element is his fan base and the audience who support him. Unfortunately in a moment like this, Vijay’s fans are also accepting the fact that the movie did not keep up the standard and expectation they had in their Thalaivaa, but they are sure that he will come back with a bang in Vijay 59. Even the audience has tagged the movie as a missed shot, the movie’s bad execution is the much talked negative about the movie. Before the release, the movie was the talk of the industry with its trailers and posters. With these trailers itself some people were of the opinion that the CGI works were not upto the mark. After the release it looks like everything that is been made in a duration of 8 months was not what the audience and film lovers expected to see from Ilayathalapathy Vijay.

Puli’s star-studded cast included Ilayathalapathy Vijay, Sridevi, Sudeep, Shruti Haasan, Hansika Motwani, Prabhu etc in prominent roles. The movie is written and directed by Chimbu Deven and the audience believes that this is a missed shot where the hurry in which the movie is made could be the reason for this negative reviews. The movie is produced by Shibu Thameens and P T Selvakumar. The music section which was handled by DSP aka Devi Sri Prasad are also getting criticised all over. In these present conditions, it looks like Puli will not have its race for long, hope it gets the money which was put into produce this movie.

History repeats : Puli bowed down to Ennu Ninte Moideen

History has crazy way of repeating itself and Mollywood is seeing it usually nowadays. We think you all know what we are really talking about. The history repeated in Mollywood once again as a Malayalam cinema triumphs over a big mass masala Tamil film. The film released last Thursday was Puli which was a big budget hyped Vijay starrer and it had come almost washing away many Malayalam cinemas from many centers.

But the fate of the film was really bad as it had got negative reviews all around and now it is sure that it will not be here in many theaters for long. On the other hand, the Malayalam blockbuster by RS Vimal and Prithviraj team, Ennu Ninte Moideen is running with packed houses all around despite the big Puli release. Ennu Ninte Moideen had really made victory over Puli.

This is not the first time it has happened in this year. This is the second time this year that a big budget Tamil film is bowing down to a well appreciated Malayalam film at box office. In May it was Suriya starrer flick Masss that had bowed down to the sensational Malayalam hit Premam which become the second highest success in Malayalam cinema history. That Suriya film by Venkat Prabhu also had come with much anticipation and was big budgeted as well.

Earlier it was not the situation. Earlier when a big Tamil film comes it washes away all the Malayalam films from the theaters and collect big money from box office. They even gets collection more than that of a Malayalam film gets from here. But the recent change in the trend seems to be a real welcome change for Malayalam cinema. Now the audience gives more preference to Malayalam cinema than any other language cinemas. The trend had really started when Mohanlal starrer film Drishyam released in 2013 December. Malayalees accepted the film with both hands and they ignored Aamir Khan starred Dhoom 3 and even the Tamil film Jilla which had Mohanlal and Vijay in front of Drishyam.

At the same time they received quality products from other languages as well like PK and Baahubali.

Ennu Ninte Moideen collection report -14 crore in 13 days

Ennu Ninte Moideen continuing its golden run at Kerala Box office and in outside Kerala too the film is making its mark now. Last report from theaters in Bangalore came in that they had to increase the shows due to heavy rush for the film. The mouth publicity of the film in Kerala had crossed the border through online reviews and also due to the heavy online promotion it is getting. The mouth to mouth publicity among common mass also spreading like wild fire and that is the reason behind the great reception it is getting even outside Kerala now. The latest report about its Kerala gross says that the film had collected an amount around 14.20 crore rupees from just 13 days and it’s just simply awesome.

There was a fear among the Malayali audience that the gigantic release of the Kollywood film Puli starred by Vijay may affect the run of Ennu Ninte Moideen. But Puli here got very negative reviews and it went down even on the very first day itself. But Ennu Ninte Moideen had gone strong on the day of the Puli release as well and showed to the world that a good film always remain at the top even if something very big comes on its way. Once Suriya’s film Mass came and failed to compete with Premam and now Vijay’s Puli came and Moideen this time made it eat dust at box office.

There is news also came earlier that it is going to Tamil language with A R Rahman being roped in to compose the music. But it was not officially confirmed yet. Life of josootty and Kohinoor also going pretty well at box office even though compared to Ennu Ninte Moideen they were not getting a thunderous response at box office.

Next week almost 3 release hitting the screens and they are Mammootty starrer Pathemari, Kunchacko Boban starrer film Lord Livingstone 7000 Kandi and another big film from telugu named Rudrama Devi which has Anushka Shetty and Allu Arjun in the lead. Now we have to wait that if they can slow down the box office run of Moideen.
